I just received a 30 ml EdP with about 10 ml remaining in the bottle. The (older?) version with the orange cap. I agree that this perfume is more reminiscent of Organza than Amarige. It IS addicting. But like most drugs, it’s euphoric at the top, pleasant in the middle and then presents you with a whacking patchouli hang over at the end. It’s probable that the base in this bottle has thickened, but it comes across as very aggressive and chemically to me. Not a scrubber, but on the road to scrub town. The patchouli eclipses the sandalwood and the benzoin. I didn’t pay much for it and I’m glad I got to try it. If you love the base and wouldn’t object to a stronger version of it and are in the market, ping me and I’d be happy to send it to you at my cost.

Absolutely love this perfume! Wish it would make a come back.

Amarige Mariage is one delectable attention grabber. I love every single note in this bottle of perfume but that cinnamon/jasmine combo just explodes on my skin. I feel like I’m being enveloped by a delicious spice bomb. It’s intoxicating, scintillating and overwhelming in the best kind of way. This is indeed a special occasion fragrance. It’s not too fruity. It’s not too floral. It is quite spicy and even with that it’s one the most yummiest perfumes I’ve ever smelled. Not only will you smell like a snack, you just might end up a snack. I can see why it’s a wedding fragrance. It really is that beautiful. I highly recommend it.

Would this be better suited for fall/winter/a day when we aren’t supposed to reach 32 C/90 F? Sure. Probably all true. Regardless of the eventual weather later, this morning it was cool and I’m not planning on leaving the air conditioned house for hours and hours and I am so thrilled I put this on today. A little bitter orange, that dissipates fairly quickly giving way to dry cinnamon over a benzoin, ambery base. Just gorgeous. A nice break from my recent rotation of fresh and lighter scents, even though I would caution the wearer to use a light hand, especially in warm/hot weather.

It's so charming, it's powerful. Its remind me to Miss Dior Le Parfum.

I had a bottle of this in my late twenties, and it was my favorite perfume. Very unique, elegant and a little bit sweet. Opens with a citric sweet note. The spices were in perfect balance with the creamy woody base and a powdery touch. Huge compliment getter. I miss it.

Bittersweet Matrimony Amid Fall Folliage... 2006 Floral CINNAMON-JASMINE-BENZOIN with Bitter-Orange, Sandalwood & Patchouli. Although it's categorized as a floral, this scent walks the line between being a floral and being an amber-spicy-woody scent. Intended as a wedding scent, mood-wise it best suits a fall wedding, like that depicted at the end of the film, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), where Robin Hood (played by Kevin Costner) weds his longtime love, Maid Marion (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) in a gorgeous outdoor wedding with fall folliage. Once the spray dries, and the sillage starts to open up, I can feel the citruses. The bitter orange supported by multi-faceted bergamot with cinnamon & benzoin swelling through has an illusion of pink-pepper. There may be some analogy here to the bittersweet qualities of matrimony. As it transitions to the heart more floral tones emerge, with jasmine & magnolia dusted with cinnamon. Jasmine is more forward than the notes would suggest to my nose, while the drydown is a gorgeous benzoin-sandalwood-patchouli blend. This is categorized as a floral scent, and overall I get dark & spicy jasmine scent, but dark storage after first sprays may cause the base notes to overtake the jasmine and become a amber-spicy-woody scent. This isn't a dupe of anything, but in the first few testings, I find this more similar to other jasmine-benzoin scents like Cinema Yves Saint Laurent than Organza Indecence Givenchy. I was delighted by this because in my (inaccurate) memory, this is exactly what the original Mania Armani (1999) was like. The bottle is nice glass with good sprayer, but I have to confess they've lost me with the whole anagram name thing. I get it but it doesn't really add to the story - we're not spies here. And if there is some veiled message about secrets within marriage, it would require too much interpretation on the part of the user. Performance is slightly above average for a year-round wearing experience, but I would be more likely to wear this in the cooler months. It's a love for me. 10/10. Enjoy! Update 08/12/24: Sprayed this on my right wrist this afternoon. The sandalwood has come a lot more forward in a great way if you love sandalwood. Because of this, it's gotten more similar to Organza Indécence Givenchy. Love it still.

This perfume is one of the best values I’ve ever purchased. Years ago when I ordered it, it was listed as a .5 oz bottle for $10. What showed up was a completely genuine 1.7 oz…for $10. It’s definitely worth more! The cinnamon, benzoin, bitter orange, and sandalwood are all prominent, heady notes. The blend is super smooth, giving the spicy warmth a surprisingly satiny texture. It is so lovely for the fall but hangs way too heavy in the air for the summer. I haven’t worn this one in a really long time, and I kind of regret that. It’s really quite beautiful and I should appreciate it more. Long Lasting with impressive sillage. Leans feminine.

Absolutely beautiful. If you like warm spicy fragrances you need this. Almost still has that Amarige DNA in there. Just like a spiced holiday version. I think this is still pretty and floral enough to wear anytime of year but perfect for fall and winter. Smells expensive, very good quality. Discontinued but you can still find it online. Strong spray on this bottle. Felt it cover my skin and a bit oily. High quality not flimsy.

I have a bottle bought on Ebay and did not smell the perfume at the time, so can not guarantee what I have smells as it should. However, I am VERY familiar with Organza Indecence and this bottle of Amarige Mariage smells almost identical to the original Organza Indecence body cream. The main notes I detect are, overwhelmingly, plum and musk, which strangely aren't listed as notes. I have several bottles cached of the original OI and, despite being kept in their boxes in a draw, have lost part of themselves at some point in the last 5 years. The most part of that something is the accord that seems to be the entirety of Amarige Mariage. I will have to combine the two and see if it recreates the magic that has disappeared that I have never forgotten of the first time I sprayed OI in 1999- the best thing I have ever smelt. Some people comparing this to Musc Ravageur. They don't smell similar overall but there is definitely some shared DNA. Perhaps the same musks used? Again, it's inexplicable why musk isn't listed as a note.

Amber, cinnamon and spice. I don’t smell any citrus or green notes. Poor longevity. Very nice. My 5 ml tester was brown but it doesn’t smell old or turned.

Анонім

Accords give a better impression of the scent than the notes list. Warm spicy, citrus, woody, with a faint powdery patch bringing up the rear. Slightly less than arms length projection with a minimal application, but this is a scent that could handle multiple sprays without bombing the room. I have no idea how they got wedding day as the promo for this scent, but it is an older scent. In 2022 this is an everyday sort of scent to my nose. More depth than a freshie and it smells well made, but not a special occasions only sort of scent.

125 I am annoyed by this one and disappointed, because when the juice sprays, it's a gorgeous lightly tart and sweet, fruity cinnamon floral with light sandalwood. I sprayed 7.5-ml between fabric and skin in cooler weather and it lasted barely 30 minutes and projected poorly. So I kept another 7.5 ml travel spray for a warm time, and we had a heat wave 75-90-F. this week. Again, SO WEAK, it failed quickly, I could barely smell it putting my nose to my shirt and I sprayed 3,5-ml two separate times. Too bad!!! Is there anything else out there that has the same fragrance but is at least moderately strong? PASS ON THIS ONE... 0/10- it's so weak. Would not repurchase. 8/10 for the lovely scent I'm done with this one-shame Givenchy!

This, 15y ago was my second designer/expensive like for a 18yo scent. All other perfumes I had back then were cheap drugstore scents, so I used my expensive ones with caution and still got this gem in my collection. My signature scent was and still is Givenchy Ange ou Demon (the original). But sometimes you feel like wearing something different, and I'm really into vanilla oriental and gourmand leaning scents, so this happen to be my second fav. This one is not gourmand but definitely has vanilla in it (shocking it's not on the list), not the edible type but the fresh, flower type vanilla. I still keep the original bottle, have less than half left now, but just sprayed it on me this evening and reminded myself how excellent this scent is. It has a bit of this soapy, early 2000s vibe but even now, in 2022 it doesn't smell like an "outdated", old fashioned scent. It's really beautiful. The opening is a blast of cinnamon and bergamot with orange and flower freshness, it's quite loud at first. It all falls next into a soft vanilla cushion which sticks to the skin. After a couple of hours you start feeling the amber mixed with vanilla, the cinammon still peaks through. It's not cloying but definitely close to the skin and "hugging". If you smell it on your wrist it reminds me of... cookies with spices, it's like some Christmas scent but if you opened the window and fresh air comes through, it's a sunny morning and the snow is melting, you keep eating the cookies you baked 2 days ago for Christmas, there's a vanilla scented candle in the back of the room. I love this perfume and I'm happy I still have a bit left and tiny bit of a minature bottle I received with it as I don't have a similar scent in my collection. At least not anything which is blended this well or with such good lasting power. A cheaper similar frag I can recommend would be Salvador Dali Purplelips Sensual if you want to get an idea of how Amariage marige smells.

Amarige Mariage is divine. To me, it smells as if you sprayed Indecence on top of the reddest lipstick you could possibly find. So far, I am in love with every version of Amarige I bought. For me personally, Givenchy is superb when it comes to perfume making, or at least they used to be!

I tried Nishane Ani yesterday and tonight something quite familiar reached to my nose. I was trying about 3 hours to recognize what is it and finally I remembered - it is Amarige Mariage by Givenchy. My pillow kept a memory of Ani and transformed it to that lost gem. They are not similar at all, but somehow, a day after, they are almost identical.Funny!

I love this one, sensual and warm, balsamic, spicy, right down my alley. The sad part is, on my skin it has 0 projection. Yesterday I got angry with its lack of silage and literally pour it on me, 7-8 sprays, it was a very warm day, still nobody around me could tell that I was wearing a perfume. After half an hour I couldn’t feel it myself. It’s either my skin chemistry (I wouldn’t be surprised, I can rarely find a perfume with a strong silage on me) or I have a fake (ebay). I don’t think it’s a fake though, it smells exactly like the sample and that was definitely not fake. Disappointed. Update: it’s my skin chemistry. My daughter sprayed once on her wrist, I could smell it from 2 metres away and she told me that it was still on her wrist after 4-5 hours. 😩

I've been into vintages lately. I blind bought this on a whim based on seeing "Organza Indecence" as a "This Smells Like..." This is pretty and "sharp" is a great description. I really like the drydown with this-sweet, vanilla-ish, cinnamony. I really like this, it's a strong like but it does not stand a chance next to Organza Indecence.

Анонім

very pretty, i only smelled from the nozzle, its not like the regular amirage, this is powdery, warm ... yeah it would be good to test drive it

Анонім

I really get the Amarige followed by Mariage thinking. Amarige is young, brash, carnal and a little overcofident, while Mariage is more deeply sensual, experienced and gives off an aura of confidence coming from knowledge. Both spectacular!

This is delightful! I adore cinnamon, how have I never found this before? It's spicy and warm and delicious. Mmmmmm

Анонім

Oh my goodness... I got this in a swap recently. Thank you to my lovely swap partner. This is absolutely 100% the BEST cinnamon fragrance I have ever encountered. Absolutely a cold weather scent. It in no way resembles original Amarige at all. This is completely different. The lasting power on my skin is amazing. It goes on and on... Warm, resinous, spicy with a mature twist. Not saying this is for us gals 45+ only - it can easily be worn by any age but I am referring to it not having the syrupy sweet note that tends to be in more youthful fragrances. I am extremely pleased with this and would not hesitate to purchase another bottle.

I found myself an 11 year old bottle on swedish ebay (tradera) in perfect condition. To me this is a warm cinnamon/benzion/sandalwood -oriental. Just lovely.

Анонім

It's been the best of the recent blind buys. I couldn't work out what was so familiar about it, till I finally figured it out. There are notes in this that remind me of Chopard Madness, namely the combination of juicy tart citrus and spicy sandalwood. The rest of the notes are completely different, so there is room in my wardrobe for both.

Just got a tester from an old perfume store, dark colour, just like the reviewer below. It is nothing like Amarige, but a soft, warm beautiful happy floral. I love it, florals that don't turn sour on me are very hard to find.

I bought recentely Amarige mariage, but the liquid has a deep orange color, not the bright yellow in the picture.I find vintage and discontinued perfumes in a pharmacy shop in excellent condition, but this time, im' not sure for the quality, although the box was untouched and wraped. Any way, i think patchouli is the dominate note. I don't like patchouli, and this is very very strong. NO,i do not like it. I'will keep it for my collection, an if i find another with bright yellow color i will buy and review again.

I don't find it similar to original amarige Amarige mariage is heaven of oriental lovers,it's warm, sweet, delicious, fresh, balmy, spicy and supersexy It's initial blast is about smooth florals, magnolia and jasmine blended with fresh, citrus note,in this stage,it more looks like a tender spring floral or even a floral fruity, but bergamot and bitter orange start to fade and florals are rounded with sweet, spicy benzoin and sandalwood,Drydown is warm, cinnamon dominant and a real oriental I really love this type of fragrances,it's sweet but not candyish, gourmand but not childish and well balanced If you like givenchy organza, dior addict, euphoria Gold and kenzo jungle tiger you will love this one too Edit: I like layering it with cologne des missions I also love layering it with Al rehab Chocomusk to create a lovely grownup cinnamon-vanilla gourmand ❤❤❤❤❤ جیونچی آماریج مریج موقع اسپری شدن، ترکیبی از نارنج و ترنج+روایح گلی لطیف و ملایم(مگنولیا)+دارچین هست.

The best cinnamon scent I have smelled. Usually when cinnamon is featured in a perfume it reads a bit... stuffy, I guess, stale somehow. Not in this case. The interplay with the bitter orange is fantastic, as is the benzoin. I'm also loving the patchouli with the wood, the hint of bergamot and the creamy white flowers. Mmm-mmm-mmm.

Today 30.05.2016 I tried Dior Addict ( Eau de Parfum ) and is the closest perfume I could find I somehow feel home with it since 3 h i put it on me. ( missing some Saltalwood notes but all the others are there ! For me at least: Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Orange Blossom and Burbon Vanilla I can agree are there) I will tell you if is stays long enough but now I am pleasantly surprised. I definitely use to love the Givenchy Mariage since 2006 was my cloud and everybody compliment me as it was so tender and different sweet but not too sweet and somehow summery in winter and I felt good like a cookie. Even in the pool or sea I could still sense the smell and I love it that it changed during the day and on my skin but somehow was the same. And I search it after it was discontinued .. order it online... sometimes the real deal sometimes some really ugly counterfeit bottles... in the end in 2014 I found some bottles in US - NY and I bought all from that shop 2x100ml and this was the last real ones.. Since then in every vacation abroad me and my guy are looking around in any perfumery that has old new things. Since the discontinuing I think I spend all the hours when I was alone ( to not make colleagues thinking I am crazy) in some Airport, sniffing some perfumes... sometimes I bough some nice ones but sometimes were so far away of me. I hope it will come back sometimes.

long ago i received a sample of it and fell in love with this perfume. it was in summer and even if it smelled so beautiful it was too powdery. thus, i would say it smells its best in cooler weather. last year i was lucky to get a bottle of this rare beauty and i am still impressed and love it. it s like a soft, comforting cinnamon'and'benzoin cloud, it makes you smile, it makes you feel peaceful and happy.
