Ange Ou Demon Le Secret (2014)

This is the sweeter sister of Ange Ou Demon EDP. This fragrance is sweeter and more citrusy and has more floral notes.

Can be a bit too much but overall nice. to me it is more sweet than citrusy somehow :)

I feel like this one and the Le Secret Elixir version had the potential to be very sexy perfumes, but the lemon and tea notes kind of holds them back. Doesn’t matter which perfume, I just can’t associate tea/lemon/citrus notes with sexiness in my mind

This scent is awesome. Fresh (in a non-soapy way*), floral and slightly sweet. Imagine if a Victoria's Secret scent married rich and became a cropped blazer wearing sorority dorm mom at 25, thats the best way I can describe this. It's a lovely scent that sits close to the skin but is worth reapplying to you get to relive that opening again and again. Youthful, sweet, uncomplicated and mass appealing in my eyes

I thought this was screechy and generic, and was quite sad about my purchase - and then it turned into something so beautiful: first, turned increasingly fresh, clean, sexy and crisp, then settled into realistic cranberry jasmine tea, sparkling, juicy, slightly mysterious. it’s sweet but tart, flirty. It’s absolutely stunning - can’t wait to wear over summer. it performed best on warmed up skin. First time i’ve liked jasmine on me, ever - the sharp notes are blended into the composition well. Feel comfortable wearing this to the office - this has personality but still appropriate.

There something screechy clean and headache inducing about it

The cranberry citrus in the opening is so refreshing smelling to me! Then it starts to get soft and feminine as the florals start to appear. The dry down is so gorgeous! This is such an easy reach fragrance for me! It’s not hugely unique but it is hugely likable to me! I can grab this for any summer occasion but the earthiness of the patchouli in the base makes this appropriate well into fall. I don’t have any issue with longevity . In fact it lasted through until the next morning on my skin. Of course, the citrus notes don’t last long typically and maybe in the summer heat, you may perspire this off a bit quicker. Early spring would be a great time to pull this out!

In the top we have tea leaf, cranberry, lemon, grapefruit and orange. And in the first few seconds the fragrance opens up with a beautiful citrucy and a bit fruity, more like red fruits scent but also followed by the tea leaf note which is uplifting and invigorating, just perfect for hot summer or a tropical vacation. It’s a beautiful fresh and fruity composition in the beginning with a lot of green tea note that give a bright and greenish type of vibe. It feels light but very present for quite some time, it doesn’t fade away quickly, so you can enjoy these notes for some time till the middle notes make their presence. I honestly love the opening very much. It’s so well blended with a very summery vibe and it doesn’t feel generic or boring at all. In the middle there are jasmine sambac, peony, water lily, rose and hedione. The most I get from the florals is hedione, which I absolutely love but also some very few jasmine and rose. I almost do not get any water lily nor peony unfortunately, which are also one of my favourite notes in fragrances but here they are in very small traces and almost unnoticeable. The rose is very tender and fresh, and it combines very nicely with the fresh and white floral note of jasmine. This is a very beautiful floral composition that blends in very nicely with the citrucy slightly sweet top notes. They compliment each other very nicely. In the base we have a few beautiful notes like white musk, white woods, patchouli, amberwood and vanilla. Once the fragrance starts to dry down, I can first feel the amberwood and patchouli that give a woody and slightly earthy vibe to it but then it is followed by musk and vanilla (and there is very few vanilla here) and these two notes just smoothen the entire composition and give it a soft and attractive, slightly powdery and green-earthy slightly sweet type of vibe. Thanks to this base the scent stays on my skin for a decent amount of time. I love wearing this scent in hot summer days as it gives me a boost of energy as it is fresh and uplisting and fruity at the same time. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, if you’d like to have a boost of energy and feel an uplisting, fruity and fresh type of scent all at the same time in a hot summer day, then this fragrance is the right one. It is not boring as it develops throughout the entire its performance. PERFORMANCE: And speaking about the performance, the longevity of this fragrance is very good as it stays on my skin around 8 hours if I apply 6-10 sprays. The sillage and projection are also very good as I get a lot of compliments when wearing it. So, I’d give it a strong 8, maybe 8.5 thanks to its blend of the ingredients and their quality but also to its performance. If I’d have to buy it again, I’d definitely do it and would buy at least 2 bottles that much I love it.

There’s a development layer here that I quite like, but overall, it’s a bit too much for me. A lot going on here. Candied florals, a bright and youthful spirit, I wouldn’t call this a mature scent, but it can be pretty if worn right. It’s a fresh, luminous floral, but sadly, nothing stands out enough to keep me hooked. Pleasant, but not distinctive.

To whoever just casually mentioned this somewhere as a forgotten gem of a tea fragrance: thank you so, so much!! This smells awesome and refreshing, like an uplifted version of an Elizabeth Arden Green Tea line fragrance that lasts WAY longer (especially on clothes) and has a pleasant summery vibe. It's not at all sweet or cloying like all the fruits & vanilla would make you think, the lemon and cranberry notes are actually quite tart and go well with the slight bitterness of the green tea. It's definitely an iced tea vibe and not a hot tea. But I love it! I got a travel size decant initially and was so smitten when I smelled it I immediately ran out and grabbed a full size. (Well. Ordered one.)

A new version of this came out in Parfum concentration (hopefully it will solve the longevity issue). Has anyone tried?

It might not be groundbreaking, but it’s absolutely lovely, clean, uplifting, and just the ticket for warm days. I’m especially fond of the way the tea and citrusy notes mingle; it’s refreshingly elegant without trying too hard. It’s not particularly sexy, but it works perfectly well for daily wear. Effortlessly charming in its own right.

Candied flat florals with a spalsh of a tea and citrus bitterness. Far from shower gel vibes, fortunately. Kinda forgettable, non-offensive, a good choice for someone young looking for a clean and polished fragrance.

Serenity in a bottle. It reminds me of a perfect summer day. Floral, soft and pleasing. + Fleurs De L’Himalaya by Rituals is the dupe.

The cranberry/citrus/ tea opening adds something to an otherwise fairly generic, soft floral - overall very nice. Clean, fresh, well-blended. Easy reach, pretty, appropriate in any situation.

My boyfriend got me this as a present! It smells mature, this is how I picture wearing it; on a morning walk with a sundress, on the way to church, or on a garden picnic. It not too sweet, it smells like a smart and good girl lol lots of floral notes but a subtle spice to it.

This is such a sunny, cheerful fragrance. Lots of citrus, tea, jasmine, cozy amber, and beautiful memories. The name is not suitable, as there is nothing angelic or demonic about this fragrance.

I had a sample first before getting a full bottle. For me it always smelled like peaches. Mellow, fruity but not acidic, sweet note. It’s reminiscent to peach ice tea with citrus/sourness removed. It has the tartness a tea does. It’s clean, but soft. It doesn’t smell like it could be soap or a shower gel. It’s one of my favorites. Lovely scent with a lovely bottle and lovely commercials

I was recently wearing Acqua Di Parisis Milano Reyane Tradition which is Ange Ou Demon Le Secret Elixir's clone and it strongly reminded me of La Rive's Hello Beauty which I loved back in 2016 and which is quite identical to Ange Ou Demon Le Secret of 2014 which is a cousin of the Le Secret Elixir. This Ange Ou Demon version of 2014 is much fruitier just like Hello Beauty is fruitier compared to Acqua Di Parisis Milano and the Le Secret Elixir - which I had back in the day before I acquired its clone by Reyane Tradition which has survived quite fresh for so long. The Le Secret Elixir and Acqua Di Parisis Milano are both darker than the Le Secret 2014/La Rive's Hello Beauty, and more green, slightly sharp at first, overall colder and more serious due to the absence of girly-sweet fruity-floral notes. Le Secret Elixir and Acqua Di Parisis Milano are both darker green compared to the lighter Ange Ou Demon Le Secret 2014 and they are intensely minty fresh, slightly sweet like mint candy due to the lemon-neroli-vanilla notes and the citrusy floral frangipani, while their more plain notes structure with the patchouli makes them more heady-balsamic and more mature than the Le Secret 2014 and Hello Beauty. Their minty undertone is part of their beautiful balsamic flair which is so unique to me in a fresh herbal tea fragrance and the tea note suits it so well while the patchouli contributes to that green balsamic allure it has which must stem from the orange flower-vanilla and the patchouli of course paired with the tea. Hello Beauty and this version of Ange Ou Demon are both more girly and sweeter due to the added sweet fruity notes and the added feminine floral ones, but also due to the amberwood. They are slightly balsamic too from the amberwood-patchouli, but not as much as the The Secret Elixir version and its impression. They are also a lot more woody kinda drier, more citrusy, happier, brighter-lighter, but they are quite heady too-perfumey. All 4 perfumes, the two by Givenchy and their impressions last a whole day and the next morning, esp the Acqua di Parisis Milano and the Le Secret Elixir being bolder and darker. The patchouli in both versions contributes to that heady green quality of them as I said and also gives them an attractive sophisticated vintage personality - it becomes overwhelming in the heat with all the citrusy notes in both versions, but it's not the peppery dirty patchouli I tend to dislike. I prefer to wear all of these in spring time and fall rather than in the summer heat. This one and Hello Beauty both have the same tea, green citrusy woody vein of Le Secret Elixir hence why I was reminded of Hello Beauty while wearing Acqua Di Parisis Milano. This version lacks the actual tea note of the Elixir version, and has tea leaf which is probably why it smells lighter to me, not as dense but still herbal. Le Secret 2014 also has a much more subtle minty vibe due to its grapefruit-orange-lemon, and as I said it's overall sweeter and lighter, not as green or dark. I personally love the intense minty balsamic sweet yet fresh essence of the Le Secret Elixir version being more mystical so the name 'elixir' was suitable for it. I like both, but I like the Elixir more being darker colder greener, while this is more youthful. They are both in the minty sweet Love Desigual genre to me, which also has grapefruit and orange like this version, but which is a lot sweeter and gourmand, while these are fresh green woody perfumes essentially and more tea-centered, but they do share that sweet mint-candy scent. Both versions are more dimensional and rich than the Bvlgari Mon Jasmin noir L'eau Exquise which also has tea, jasmine and grapefruit and it's kinda like a farmer's market lemon stand in the opening lol. So both versions are more perfumey right away. The Givenchy Le Secret 2014 is better quality than Hello Beauty because I have replaced the latter twice and it just goes stale too fast smelling dusty and like pencil shavings. I love both though and their corresponding impressions, however like I said, Hello Beauty went bad quickly in the bottle while the Givenchy one of 2014 which I bought later is still fresh. Both the Le Secret Elixir and the Le Secret of 2014 are amazing perfumes and I am sad that the current market doesn't offer elegant perfumes like these anymore.

Beautiful scent. Perfect for summer but universal. It has a smooth start with tea being the only note I recognize upon inspecting the melange :) It is similar to Pour Elle Annayake but more jasminy which makes it sultry and even prettier. It is gentler but richier to its eau de toilette version which has a fresh, loud and fruity start. In todays heat 31°C she is a blessing, taking my mind into pleasant freshness, I immediately felt more agile.

I wanted to like this. The notes seemed likable enough but it’s unremarkable. A nondescript bright, fresh floral. No potency. No staying power. This was a huge let down, for a fragrance that gets so much hype online. Glad I only bought a travel size but wish I’d only bought a sample.

My first perfume that I directly choose. This is the first conscious purchase of perfume. And it was a very mature scent for me at that time. But I'm glad. This is a wonderful evening scent, it has confidence, calm, sensual elegance. The floral notes play well on a dense base: the aroma is not too heavy or sharp, and not cloying. The big sad thing is that these perfumes were lost a year ago when my house was being renovated. An irreparable loss.

I bought this perfume as a blind purchase. I seen it reviewed on Instagram as a seductive perfume. I received it in the mail and loved it. Definitely a great blind purchase. It’s a very soft green, slightly citrus with just a tad bit of sweetness and light floral scent. Definitely smelled the tea, which gives it that green scent. To be honest, you smell a little bit of everything in this perfume. I wouldn’t say this is seductive. It’s not strong enough nor warm enough. I think it’s a good perfume, but to be seductive, I think the sillage should be a little bit more stronger. If you just want the person next to you to smell it, this will make a great perfume. I would even wear this to work because it’s really not overbearing at all, it’s very subtle.

Distinctly different from Ange ou Demon EDP, this scent is dominated by tea, evoking a sensation more suited for spring or fall days. Yet, with the infusion of tea and lemon, it could also transition well into soft evenings. It harkens back to the popular fragrance themes of the 90s. While pleasant, it's not something I would personally choose unless seeking out a tea-based composition. I found it a bit screechy during the base notes.

I really do wonder how is this a flanker of the OG Ange ou Demon? the notes are way too different than the original.

Been wearing this for 10 years and I've never gotten sick of it. Always get compliments when I wear it. Very feminine and unique.

Like a more floral-citrusy version of Green Tea.

Pretty, but faint - and expensive for what it is. It smells exactly like an Arden Green Tea fruity flanker, and you can pick up a full bottle of any one of those for less than half the price of a 50ml of this. I have several of them. They last better, and are stronger than this one, and just as lovely. If I smelt this on someone, I would have thought it was from the Green Tea line, that's how similar the DNA is. Granted, I got it in January, so I may edit my opinion on longevity and projection after trying it in summer, but right now I'd say save yourself the money and get yourself one of the Ardens. After ten/twenty minutes I really have to sniff my wrist to get any trace of this into my nose. Smells like Jasmine tea and sweet fruitiness - but it isn't sickly sweet, it's just right. Very refreshing and elegant, would be perfect for a warm spring day or in the summer. My only issue really is the price I paid (£50 for 50ml, and that was discounted) for something that you could easily find in a £12 cheapie. If I had paid the lower price, I would have been happy with it, despite the fact it doesn't last. Smells fantastic for the 10 mins it lasts on your skin. It irritates me, because I have a lot of very cheap perfumes that last a lot longer and whose presence you can actually detect after spraying. I have £10-20 fragrances that I can still smell for days after on my clothing.

This is a truly beautiful fragrance. Fresh, clean and quite captivating. Contrary to some comments below, for me it lasts a long time and has great projection. I will always own a bottle of this one.
