Gucci Rush 2

This was a lovely floral-heavy perfume. It smelled like a flower garden. I was upset when it was discontinued.

My all-time favorite perfume, and I can’t express how disappointed I am that it’s no longer available. I’ve been searching for a similar perfume for ages, but I really dislike every new perfume I’ve tried. This one was so sexy, so clean, so pure, so light, and yet noticeable at the same time! It highlighted the best features of everyone who wore it and made you feel unique. Today’s perfumes can’t even come close to Gucci Rush 2. Yes, I tried the dupe from Éclat, and it’s very close—a very good dupe (I still have the original and can compare them). However, it gave me a terrible headache, so I’m too afraid to use it. Also, the dry-down is different from the original. So please, if you know something very similar to this, share it! Or let’s start a petition to Gucci to bring it back.

My first ever designer fragrance that my dad bought me when I was little. It was my favourite and I still think about it and wish I could wear it again but sadly it is discounted. If not this would have been probably one of my signature summer scents. I’m not really a fresh perfume girl but I would make an exeption for this one. It smells nothing like the original Gucci rush, I don’t really like the original because it is very strong and overwhelming and just not good to me at all. But this one was sooo fresh and girly and soapy and fun and the smell of it would make me feel excited and energised. I also love the packaging so cute and girly.

Loved the original so I got a bottle at Marshall’s 15 years ago In my opinion it’s nothing like the original Rush. Love it for different reasons. Very similar to Rush Summer. No need to splurge on a stale bottle. Right now at TJ Maxx they have a dupe that is just a plain small clear bottle that just says Garden Charm with a green hue. I believe it's one of those "tru fragrance" scents. The ones they just have out with no box lol

Gucci Rush 2 is a light, floral fragrance with a clean and slightly woody undertone. It feels modern and subtle, suitable for everyday wear. While not overpowering, it may fade quickly on some skin types.

I had this in my late teens & I remember it being VERY fresh. I loved it. That’s what I gravitated toward when I was that age; anything fresh & fruity. Rush 2 was so perfect for hot summers.

Try eclát No.081 as a dupe for it.

Gucci... women really love this perfume...let us have her back! The scent memories with this perfume are now part of my DNA if that's even possible. Honor the magnificent perfumer Michel Almairac's creation so she lives again. Gucci Rush just isn't my love like "2". I search for the best deals I can find on the last inventory to be had. The price people are asking for her now is outrageous. I still manage to find a fantastic deal on occasion. I've worn her since the first release. I will hunt her down as long as I can. I never want to be without my Gucci Rush 2. When I smell it on myself, I think ...this is so me & I can't help but smile...❤️

This is my go-to spring scent! It's so fresh and floral, but not overpowering. I love the combination of freesia, rose, and lily-of-the-valley in the top notes. The musk adds a nice touch of warmth.

Omg I love this so much. Reminds me of being in my early 20's and hanging out in the VIP room at Club X in San Francisco! I really wish there was a way to still be able to get it and experience that nostalgia again.

30.September 2024 OMG, is this the best synthetic floral scent ever?? I mean, i did not like original Rush, even thoygh it was my best freind's sugnature and i quickly dismissed Rush2 as something not original or outstanding when it was released (maybe i just did not like the cheaply looking packaging?), but i recently acquired a bottle of it and i am testing it and im in love. It is nothing like original Rush, i do not smell any similarities, apart of same synthtic feel. I love tuberose, i love lily, they are here, but not your typical heady tuberose, this is mostly fresh lily, not cloying at all. Opening is fresh, flowery, syntheticly nice. It is still not the most original or outstanding, but it is really-really nice!! I say that sadly lasting power is not the best, almost 3hrs on my cold skin, and of what most magical part only ladts for about an hour. Yet it is refreshing, young, simple and seductive. I bet guys will love it! Now i need a backup! :)

I did not understand the popularity of this until I applied it on a hot day. Wow, it feels like a memory the author wanted to capture with this scent. Hot, sweaty body, under a shower, washed with a fruity-floral shower gel. Someone must have loved this memory. This is how the Rush 2 smells. Like morning after a clubbing night. It has a substantial projection and great longevity. Memorable scent.

For anyone that's looking for an alternative - VINE by Piper & Perro will do the trick!

This reminds me of that "Valérian et la Cité des mille planètes" scene (the only scene from the movie which I remember) where the two main characters are bickering on the beach over a cocktail and then later it turns out that the beach was just a simulation projected over walls of a sterile white room. Of palm trees planted in corridors of malls' luxury sections. Spreading a towel to suntan on Dubai's coast with oil rigs before you and unfinished skyscrapers behind. I was once caught by a downpour in a middle of a walk through Singapore's National Orchid garden, waiting for the rain to end in one of its white-glass greenhouses -- Rush 2 makes me think of that. It's cooling, green, behaves well in humidity. For some reason it doesn't remind me of air refreshers as 2000s aquatics usually do. Is it the bitterness? Lack of citruses? Whatever it is, other aquatics don't really inspire me, but I would love to spend a season somewhere like Taipei or Sydney or any other warm seaside metropolis with pair of vintage Dior ski-mask sunglasses and a 75 ml bottle of Rush 2. Rush 2 is reminiscent of OG Gucci Rush as it had inherited its predecessor's unashamed artificiality, that light sweetness of cheap plastic but it is very different in its mood. Rush (an eternal love of mine) is pointedly pessimistic, stuck in a melancholy it doesn't want to be taken out of. It sits alone on a tiled floor of a bathroom in one of those abandoned industrial buildings turned night clubs, gone a little mad, mumbling Baudelaire to itself as people step over its legs: l'Espoir, Vaincu, pleure... Rush 2? For some reason the start of R2 clicks play on the Azealia Banks' "Count Contessa" in my head. R2 is more like: "The world is ending? Okay, fine, whatever. Bring out your swimsuit skin, we are switching the server's ambiance to Fiji."

I originally found this perfume in 2002 on a cruise ship. I was 20 at the time and I fell head over heels in love with it. I have since purchased half a dozen bottles even though it has long been discontinued. My last OG bottle has gone bad, sadly, but I am keeping it for sentimental reasons. I have since found a good quality fragrance oil dupe and have been wearing the heck out of it recently. Compliments galore. I get an instant mood lift when I wear it. Bright, cheery, fresh and watery. This is one of those perfumes where I cannot detect any of the notes individually but I just know that I'm in love with how it smells. I've never found another fragrance quite like it, so if anyone knows something that is remotely similar, please DM me! I will continue to use the fragrance oil dupe but would love to continue exploring other options.

I really really love this perfume. It is light, girly, innocent, but sexy. Maybe girls don’t realise it, but boys definitely like it on girls. And very important for me, i don’t have headache from the scent. What a pity that i can’t buy it anymore…

i'm not sure if I can give a valid review of this because I think my sample was too old or some thing. All I smelt was alcohol😢 really sad because I was expecting to like this a lot .

If you're looking for something similar, giving the fact that Rush was discontinued, try Sospiro Liberto. It's almost the same smell, with similar notes and long lasting sillage.

Usually when a perfume is discontinued I put on pink glasses and think it's the best one I've ever smelled. So, having said that, it is very nice scent, airy and green floral, but unfortunately plasticky. There is a certain plasticky note that turns the scent to "meh" for me.

Honestly, this scent in the early 2000's sent me absolutely loopy. I don't know what it was, but something about the top notes just absolutely intoxicated me.

Unique and daring green scent! I don't know why, but this scent reminds me of water lilies... OR.. cold grapefruit water...:) Fresh, green and bitter! I know why people love it - because it's finally smth without any sweetness!

One of my all-time favorites. It reminds me of new clothes, new shoes, new car smell. It’s fresh, bright, summery, slightly floral. It makes me feel like I’m rich, successful, powerful and well dressed. It gives you the feeling you have when you put on all the new stuff you just bought on a shopping spree.

Masterpiece modern green floral sexy but playful and also professional, genius work of art. Gucci frequently discontinues. Early 2000s were the best for gucci e.g envy, gucci II. The stuff they come out with these days is a let down. Niceish openings but gone in 5 mins.

Very sweet and floral without being heavy. Smells like apple tree flowers in morning dew.This is a long time favourite and I have always come back for it.

My rating is for the 2001 edition - the reformulation has destroyed that warm, sweet freshly-showered memory. My signature scent early 2000's ( and Volupte -Paco Rabanne) - can't count the number of ladies who bought Rush 2 after I began using it...& men loved it! Why do they discontinue or ruin these beauties! ...why? ...sigh...

Smells exactly the same as Fresh Linen air refresher.
