This is not just a masculine scent … this is a rich and sexy scent for anyone who likes this type of DNA. It is subtle and yet it is bold at the same time. Lasts all day on my skin. Beautiful!

This was my first oudh fragrance. It's got a touch of sweetness which makes it really accessible. I was actually given a bottle by an old boss of mine. I commented that someone smelt great one day, in the office, as a passing. Then, upon performing really well on a task, he said he had bought me a bottle as that was the smell I had picked up on. It was a prized possession of mine, I wore it for a full year and still keep the bottle as a moment. I'd love to buy again, but there are so many oudh fragrances to still explore.

Has to be one of the softest, sexiest oud fragrances out there. It's linear and not very complex but this is a great designer fragrance for someone who wants to try oud.

Love at first sniff on a blind buy. Smells kinda like walking into a really nice brand new wood sauna. The best silage ever, so sexy. With the right amount of sprays, this is ultra versatile in any season, for over 40.

Okay, if you like this fragrance then I suggest trying Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir.. it smells very similar to this fragrance but the performance is 10x better and the price is too. I'm not saying Gucci Oud is no good but I have both and I will go with the Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir just because it performs overall better than Gucci.

I have only tried this in my local store, and on initial spray it smells unbelievable! Loved every second of it. However, on the dry down, it seemed very spicy, I’m not sure which spice, almost curry like? I still really enjoyed the dry down, I just wasn’t expecting that when many say it’s quite sweet? Overall, very much enjoyed it and will be buying bottle soon!

It's a nice alternative to Black Afghano, more wearable, fruitier, sweeter and less polarizing but also less unique in it's scent profile. I prefer Black Afghano due to the extra darkness and smokiness

For me this is the best oud fragrance. Rich oud vibe with some flowers in back. Perfect amount of oud not like hitting you kind of oud.

Анонім

This is okay but nothing that blows me away. It's a light sweet scent which is restrained which may be a benefit for a scent like this. It's nice but I was expecting more for the price it goes for.

The more I wear this fragrance the more I love it. Deep, dark, mysterious, has a similar feel to black afgano and lasts. Have had multiple people tell me they can smell me from a mile away although I can go nose blind from the scent. Get more compliments the more I wear it, feel as though it could nearly work year round minus extreme heat

Анонім

I tried this at a store & i own black afgano the scent profile is kind of similar which i like but its kinda toned down in projection compared to BA. You can easily rock this daily and has much more value. If you like dark mysterious scent this is the one to get .

Dry down is similar to Pasha Eau de Parfum. There could be sandalwood in this even though it’s not listed. I think they are discontinuing this soon keeps popping up in sales. Grab before it’s gone

What does it smell like? To me, this smells like a luxury Arabian style spicy and sweet oud. Where would I wear it? I’d wear this for any occasion, it’s a very welcoming oud scent. How many sprays? I recommend around 4 sprays. Anything more would be overpowering. Best season? I’d say all season Safe blind buy? Yes very safe Final thoughts? This is a fragrance that Gucci should have kept in their private line, because it smells niche. Rating: 10/10 Would I buy it again? Yes (I did recently) If you found this review helpful, feel free to check out my other fragrance reviews here on Fragrantica. I also share quick fragrance content, blind buy recommendations, and affordable luxury finds on @EauDeKhan. Happy to answer any questions there :)

Very sexy oud. Get it fellas.

The more I let it mature, the stronger it gets and it changes the way it smells. Amazing fragrance. The rose is so good. I have owned it for two months and worn 3 times. It always smells different. Wow! Definitely worth the $100 you spend at discounters. A very mature scent. 30+

Dark, dry, spicy western oud with incense and a hint of powdery rose. It is kind of acting like a hybrid between Black Afgano and Ombre Nomade for me.

Although this scores well on Fragrentica, I’d still call this underrated as it gets very little social media air time. It’s a very sophisticated scent. It combines the Western Oud style (complex woods, no animalic element) as used in PDM Haltane, Initio Oud for Greatness and TF Oud wood, with some spice, more so than than PDM Haltane, but without the leather/saffron punch in Oud for Greatness. It’s a western style oriental oud if that makes sense- the spice leans oriental, but the oud is so woody and western style that it’s a “western style oriental”. The easiest way to put it is if you want a spicy oud without smelling Middle Eastern, this is the Oud you want (as opposed to say Alexandria II or Halletti which are western fragerences, but smelling very Middle Eastern!). What this comes across as is a very sophisticated fragerance, far more so than TF Oud Wood or Thameen Carved Oud (but carved oud feels more “luxurious”). It’s more professionally appropriate in a corporate office than PDM Haltane as it’s not as sweet. It’s a dryer oud, with spice, that makes it a touch exotic, but still completely appropriate in an office or sharp, upmarket evening setting. This is the Oud James Bond would wear with his suits… if Tom Ford didn’t pay for the product placement! Probably my top 2 western ouds (other being Thameen Carved Oud). The difference is The Gucci Oud Intense is definitely better in cold weather (winter/autumn) and Thameen Carved Oud is to me a strong Spring Scent. This is just a superb fragerance and incredible value for money at discounters as it really is better than many Niche perfumes and comparable to any of them (and I have Haltane, Pegasus Exclusif, Layton Exclusif and Oud for Greatness).

i'm sure that dante from DmC uses this as his signature perfume.

Let it sit for 2/3 months and then watch how it performs, this radiates off my skin like crazy, love the scent profile, better than any MFK oud imo, it’s an absolute steal for 100$.

Анонім

Smells nice, like a more wearable Nasomatto Black Afgano, but my bottle performs very bad. Skin scent after 1h, even after having it for 2 months.

Gucci Intense Oud is sweet, smoky, leathery, and always changing. It never feels the same from start to finish. Longevity is incredible, especially on clothing. This scent is more versatile than I expected and I enjoy wearing it on most days, except during really hot weather. It is excellent and elegant. I tried every Gucci fragrance like their Guilty line but found them too standard. Then I tried Intense Oud and it felt like a discovery. I bought the full bottle right away because it felt like a totally different brand. Wow. Not blind buy safe. Everyone's nose / skin is different. Your experience may differ.

Nose Note #978 I have to do more research before buying... I don't like Black Afgano much. When I first sprayed this I thought: "Damn it, this smells extremely familiar and I don't like it". A few weeks have passed and I finally sat down to write this review and opened Fragrantica. And of course... Black Afgano... It may not be the most faithful dupe, it's definitely made to be more accessible, and even slightly to the feminine side (!!!). It's still dark green herbal with thick sweetness, but nowhere near as thick as Black Afgano and not as herbal. If anything this exhibits some floral undertones, one other thing that makes the DNA more palatable. It has something lightly patchouli-esque about it too. Carner Cuirs is denser and closer to Black Afgano than this. Hindu Kush is similarly different and more palatable, but in a different way. Again, this is for people that like the "idea" of Black Afgano, but not the real petroleum-sweet-cannabis-herbaceous thing. So, in a way, perfectly fitting for the brand of Gucci. Something daring, but still safe to appeal to most people. Maybe not THAT mass appealing to blind buy it. 7.3/10, one of the easiest to stomach takes on Black Afgano, but still not my cup of tea

Анонім

Goated non sweet non amber incense. Not as punchy or loud as La Crima by liquides imaginaires so its easily wearable. Has a subtle sweetness that keeps it from going dry, and no amber to turn it overtly powdery or dense. Chefs kiss

Анонім

Smells nice on the paper, woody amber smooth smelling oud like , but smells like straight up cumin seeds on my skin after spraying on the wrist. letting it settle, smells like a nice fruity, ambergris scent for the summer time. The scent transforms a bit too frequently as it dries-down for me.

Анонім

Ok fragrance smelling like pencil shavings with slight coconut oil touch.

Анонім

love yeh I don't have a signature fragrance, but this could be it.

Анонім

5.7/10 For an oud fragrance, this doesn't last a long time. It's earthy and I feel like the rose is very present, which is nice.

Анонім

Same amber and oud found in Tom Ford Amber Absolut and TF Oud Wood. While similar, this has less balsamic/fig and not as much sillage which actually makes it alot more wearable than the discontinued Ford but not as extravagant but just as sophisticated. The pear and animalic sweetness add to its skin clinging longevity. Zero melon, zero aquatic, zero wood. The pear and orange blossom are very detectable but blend wiith the frankinsence and agarwood beautifully in the dry down. Whiffs of damask rose turkish delight, smokey patchouli and slight powdery saffron leather. Very mature masculine scent to my nose but gets sweeter up close. Wear this any place any time, but only because I love it. Better suited for fall/winter. Batch 3185, Made in Spain.

I love how this is an incensy-oudy scent with a peppery-fruity top, so elegantly concocted. GIO is truly one of a kind and even rivals the most hipster niche scents in terms of quality, which is why I consider it backup-worthy for fear of it being discontinued anytime soon. My appreciation for this scent has no bounds, and will forever hold a special place in my heart (Aurélien, you're a genius!). The batches made in Spain recently have better performance than those initially made there (since the earlier ones were made in France and hit like a truck, then got toned down), so don’t worry.

Just got this...Not bad, but very subtle. 10 sprays and 3 hours later it's barely there. Needs to macerate a bit Batch code 6019 🥴
