this smells like watery cucumber, salty pickles and mildew. It just smells like a salty pond. When it dries down it unfortunately starts smelling like actual faeces. I'm so disappointed.

Анонім

So melancholy and mysterious. Surprisingly concentrated, too! Absolutely makes me think of wandering through a misty wood like the name suggests. Highly recommend.

Анонім

I really liked this one, the reviews show it's an acquired taste but I really liked it. It lasted a while on my clothes and maybe I like it coz I'm a bit gothy

Анонім

wanted to like this so bad as I usually love clean scents however this is the perfume that solidified that i really dislike strong wet/aquatic smells that have a cucumbery/vegetal freshness to them- creates what I can only describe as a fishy/fish tank note?? bothered me so much that I now have petrichor on my red flag note list. i cannot express how much i wanted to like this but i had to wash it off immediately after trying on the skin.

Perhaps this is the last thing you smell after Nosferatu drains your blood and drops your lifeless corpse face-down on a rain-drenched springtime field. Smells like dirt, and rain, and petrichor, and purple flowers. Low headache potential, but kind of an unusual thing to smell like at the office.

Анонім

Simultaneously very light and floral while also smelling like a damp basement. Definitely a little more funk than I was expecting, but not bad at all. They nailed the petrichor note. At the same time, I don't think I'd reach for this often. I'd have to be in a very specific mood to pull this off the shelf, and the only place out I think I might wear this out around others is to goth night at the local club.

Анонім

It's decent. Not my usual style, it's a little too light, personality wise. I love the old basement stuff people are hating, and I love that it smells like petichor so much. I like the choice to swap literal blood notes for more salten or oceanic bite, and the sweetness is definitely the kind I like, it's the least cloying I've almost ever smelled. Overall pretty good, just not all the way my style

It really does smell like a damp cave, but it also reminds me of decay... I once went to a butcher shop with my grandparents and it absolutely reeked of rot, and then I met a girl in middle school that smell just like the sweet, sickly, damp smell this fragrance has, and this perfume took me back to the moment I met her. As it dried down and sat on my skin I got lots of violet and powdery notes. It's weird but good, very earthy and musky. In my opinion the scent is off-putting but the floral notes save it. I'm still conflicted if I even like it, definitely not an every day scent. I do feel cool and mysterious wearing this though!

Oh, Heteric. You did it with this one. I am obsessed with this scent and wear it the most out of my collection. Its WEIRD, complex, feminine, dark, earthy, for the goth girlies. It smells mysterious at the top, like earthy decay. It then settles into a beautiful sophisticated floral scent. I feel like a woman when I wear this. I love it so much.

What it says on the tin! This one is for the weird girls, the vampire obsessed, the ones whose perfect day is finding an abandoned cemetery in the woods. It’s earthy, petrichor- and iris-heavy, and has a mossy, soft rot drydown. It is so unique yet perfectly evokes a crypt. Photorealistic crypt, if you will lol.

Анонім

with all the hype I have seen around this, I expected it to be at least half decent. And yet…. clearly, this is trying to tell a “story.” unfortunately, the story is boring, forgettable, and underwhelming.

Анонім

Sweet, aromatic dirt—just intoxicating. Want to roll around in it.

The petrichor is the real standout of this fragrance. Quiet, dark, melancholic, gothic, lonely. A very intimate fragrance, almost no projection. I do not agree with the cons that it may come off as damp and mildew-y, it’s a pretty direct wet earth smell.

Анонім

beautiful - dark, gothic, and damp floral. cold and decaying. like walking around the ruins of a castle after the rain and the stones and moss are soaked. the first perfume I've tried that was advertised as a gothic floral that is actually gothic. I wish i could wear it everyday.

Анонім

For me, there's a big dose of rubber/leather added to the wetness and floral notes. It's interesting but I think that keeps me from enjoying it as much I did from reading the descriptions here :( After smelling it on a piece of paper, it seems my skin blocks out the sweetness that is meant to balance out this animalistic smell. go figure

Анонім

This starts off beautiful. I loved Nosferatu so I had to get it, but it goes from smelling like an evening walk around a castle after it rains to smelling like dirty cucumber and melon.

Анонім

"Mildew, fresh, misty, floral, wet." Yes except for me, replace the mildew with poop. Animal poop of some kind in the open. It does fade away thankfully and I get the lilac and petrichor, and cucumber as some others have mentioned. I can't wear it but I respect it.

I've been searching for a sweet and watery scent for forever, and this is it. it's funkier than I imagined it would be (perhaps that is what other reviewers are terming a "damp basement" smell), but I like that.

Анонім

Another polarizing fragrance from heretic the opening is pure aquatic floral draped in an ominous oud, it’s very rainy than when the next hour a bit of sunlight shines through. It’s actually quite beautiful and weirdly nostalgic reminds me of playing on a wet playground or something as a child. There is kind of a plastic note. I’m not sure where it’s coming from but regardless, no maybe it’s a metal note like rain on metal anyways it’s pretty good and sillage and projection aren’t too bad.

Анонім

I’m usually not a huge fan of floral scents but I constantly reach for this one. I would 100% recommend this scent if you’re looking for a weird scent that works for everyday wear.

19th century England, a rainy day surrounded by fog. You step into an alleyway and pick up on the scent of wet stone, wilted flowers and a sour almost-rotten smell. The air is thick with humidity and your clothes are heavy, clinging to your body from sweat. The smell of damp wood from nearby stairs mixes with the stench of discarded vegetables. You put a mildew stained cloth to your face in order to keep the smell from seeping into your pores. It's too late. I can really appreciate the artistry of this scent. It's a fun experiment and I loved the idea of it. Unfortunately it's not something I'm likely to wear often. Possibly for Halloween? I did blind buy this, which I don't recommend doing. I chose it as the scent for my monthly scent subscription. This might be one I have to gift. The smell is almost suffocating. Not terribly unpleasant though. I will say, my husband did like it. He said it reminded him of a high end jewlery store.

Анонім

Smells of a clean petrichor without the dirt. Very powdery florals and a slight hint of sourness in the background. Not nearly as dark as I was hoping for.

Анонім

To me, it smells EXACTLY like freshly cut Armenian cucumber. It's a lovely spring scent, but I don't pick up on any "darkness" whatsoever :(

smells like sweaty cantaloupe

after hearing so much about this fragrance and dreaming of the day i would work up the courage to buy a sample, the universe seemed to hear my pleas and bestowed a wonderful surprise upon me as i was window shopping today. there she was, in all her 30ml glory, ready to be sampled. friends, when i tell you she is everything described and more oh my goodness... it's fragrances like this that make me love perfumery and fragrance as a hobby. it genuinely does smell "cold" somehow. as i got ready to leave this morning, it had been a rainy damp misty morning, but by now the sun had come out as though the rain was never there. yet, when i sprayed this i was immediately taken back to the foggy misty morning i woke up to; the dampness like wet pavement, the dewdrops on blades of grass, the greyness of the morning, all of it. the perfume immediately gives the image of a foggy misty morning in like... i've never been but i'd imagine it's what Stonehenge would smell like lol. the vast open field, and then damp stone. the smell of an open forest clearing in the aftermath or preceding a strong rain, but nested between theres this rock/pavement smell... it brings the imagery of like a crumbling castle overridden with moss and ivy in my head. what shocks me even more though is that even after two hours and a subway ride home, the fragrance *still* sits on my skin like this. i would have expected such a delicate and fleeting scent to have been gone by now, but its longevity is surprising me! it def sits very close to the skin, so no strong silage unfortunately, but when you get a whiff of it it's so attention grabbing. after telling myself no more purchases this week... i walked out with a roller ball and a 2ml sample to tide me over as i debate on purchasing a 30ml of it... i don't know when exactly i'd wear this, but im extremely happy to find that i don't have to rush to make a decision on this now :)

Анонім

I would put this toward a more niche scent category. To me, this is kind of green, watery, murky, and what a wet cave with a lot of moss would smell like. There is a little bit of a smoky/musty note when it settles on the skin. I do really like this scent, though I do not think it is for everyone. This is probably what the air around Nosferatu smelled like when he was standing in his castle, 8/10.

Анонім

I. Buy it for my girlfriend and I love how it’s smell on her, but I won’t wear it.

Анонім

I am different in thinking seasonal is not as much of a thing. Scent as fashion is a more important thing in the world of niche scent. That being said petrichor is a brilliant note. I evokes something always. Rain in the morning is refreshing and bright. Rain midday is soul soothing. Rain in the evening is calming. It’s a beautiful multifaceted singular earth note.

Mildew, fresh, misty, floral, wet. I think this perfume did exactly what it intended to do. My face when I first smelt this was beyond surprised, because it perfectly captured this very nostalgic smell of many buildings in the Philippines: a secretion of this mouldy mildew smell, caused by the heavy rain that the Philippines often receives, humidity and trapped moisture. To many that sounds like an unpleasant smell but to me, I've been chasing that nostalgic scent for years. I'm happy I relived it with this fragrance. Nosferatu smells like an extremely wet day driven by a thick layer of moisture from a rainstorm, the concrete buildings don't stand a chance against the smell of mildew, and theres a lovely floral garden arrangement outside in front of an old church, covered in drops of dew with dark grey clouds beyond view. The opening began with the smell of wet concrete, of course, and something fresh like a minty cucumber?? The dry down is quite wearable. It's clean, sweet and fresh, but still able to portray that sense of melancholy. The florals in this are so cute. I just picture Ellen holding the bouquet of lilacs at the beginning of the film. "Why have you killed these beautiful flowers?" Honestly, if you feel a sense of happiness seeing a big dark raincloud and the distant sounds of thunder becoming louder and louder, you'd love this.

Heretic – Nosferatu: A dark, moody, and surprisingly cozy atmospheric that perfectly captures a fresh graveyard petrichor and dead flower vibe.
