Concentré d'Orange Verte

What more can you tell about this clasic? Hermes delivers as usual! Upon first sniff from the atomizer you smell the most realist basil + orange peel. It is like someone tooked the basil from the garden and started to rub agains the peel of orange and it's start to smell GREEN, FIZZY but like after 2-3 hours it started to be more woody, earthy but also warm from the amber note! Beautiful fragrance!

Orangea by PR is much better quality

was expecting to like this more. I have a dabber bottle which could be colouring my review though, as this seems to be one that's really easy to overdo. but the orange is fairly sharp/screechy and then followed immediately by patchouli which is the dominant note to my nose. the patchouli/drydown isn't bad by any means but doesn't feel like it has enough interest to take it beyond plenty of other patchouli heavy options. overall glad I got a tester before committing to a FB

Intensely green fragrance that gives you an entire orange tree to contemplate, alongside unripe orange pulp, some gentle spices and earthy herbs. The citrus, as juicy and refined as it is, sits way behind what largely smells like crushed orange leaves and torn-up rind. The basil and patchouli deepen in the drydown, but it's the magnificent orange orchard note that lasts longest (at least 5 hours on my skin, with barely any let-up). Being a concentré, it's strong too, without being overwhelming. It's perfect for spring weather and casual wear, however its vivid greenery doesn't really suit the office or more formal settings. Beautiful and eccentric, even signature scent worthy. 8/10

I do not know if it is the sweatness or the ambery base but i find it a bit too heavy.

A little like L'Eau D'Issey, but this is classier, more sophisticated. Smells heavier and have more depth, so you can wear it in the evening or even in cooler climates. Love the greener DNA of its composition! My favorite green scent at the moment. Frosted green bottle is so cool too. Again like L'Eau D'Issey.

Absolutely love this. Bright and fresh. Smells like fresh lime on the opening, the basil and other notes come through and blend together beautifully on the drydown. Perfect summer scent, timeless.

Instead, it fits seamlessly into ordinary life.Unrestricted by scenarios, unselective of outfits, and ready to be used anytime. It may seem mild, yet never insipid.As time passes, it permeates the years. This is precisely what is meant by "the highest level of craftsmanship appears unrefined, hiding sharpness in bluntness and concealing keenness in plainness.

This has one of the best citrus notes ever. Juicy orange,fresh spices and herbal softness. The performance could've been better. Feels like you are wearing a linen shirt in an orange orchard.

Spicy and sophisticated green scent. Opens with a woody, dry, almost peppery spice that quickly relaxes, making room for notes of citrus rinds and other fresh herbs. Everything in this perfume smells like it came from the Earth - i.e. natural - yet it somehow avoids smelling like a literal garden. This is in stark contrast to Eau de Campagne by Sisley, which I immediately regretted purchasing due to its perverse blend of hyperrealistic tomato leaves and generic department store cologne. When I eventually stumbled upon Eau d Orange Verte, I loved it, but it made me realize that I never really want a leafy green cologne, I wanted something that captured the 𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 of green without being literally vegetal. In any case, this masculine-leaning perfume is inexpensive yet elegant - perfect for traveling in style or going on a picnic date. At the same time, I probably wouldn't wear it to work, not because it's in any way offensive or unappealing, it just evokes this sort of off-the-clock, European feeling that feels incongruent to a boring office. The less corporate your job is, the more fitting I think this perfume would be (though I'm sure people would love it either way).

I've come back to this fragrance after sampling a few hundred more fragrances. Great quality for the price and still smells unique and modern. I want to try layering this with molecule 01 to see if that will fix the longevity issues I have with this fragrance. Expect moderate longevity and low to moderate projection

I bought this for my husband but he did not like it due to the patchouli (he can always sense it when I can't) but I decided to keep it as I really love the fragrance! Unfortunately I don't think it works well on me as it seems very heavy and manly (probably due to the cedar and basil combo), it specially in the beginning, maybe I could pull it of during fall and winter but too heavy for summer. It becomes softer and sweeter after 2h like an actual orange as the herbal spiciness subsides and I can imagine wearing it now but it is still tough to wait 2h for the herbs to settle to enjoy some orange. Lasts more than 3h. I might keep it just to take a wiff from time to time as by itself the fragrance is magical - a hearby fresh orange!

this is super Green and fresh, I bought It for myself but ended Up giving It to my hubby because he really really likes It and It works wonders for his chemistry, on mine this just turns to hay and damp soil, which is my experience with most Hermès citrus fragrances haha. It gives old money vacation getaway, It has an earthy undertone that I think comes from the patchouli, lasts over 6 hours, sillage sits very close to skin. I Hope the Orange note does not turn too quickly as It seems to happen with most Hermès fragrances that go bad way too fast

I like the opening, dislike the dry down it smells synthetic.

Very dissapointed. It doesn't last 2 minutes and is more like eau de cleaning fluid. Original 4711 smells better, lasts longer and is 1/10th of the price.

Every year around my birthday (in Sept) I go to this seaside town called Goa in India. There's this Marriott that I always stay at and always get this sea facing room, go to a couple of favourite eating spots.... And ... I always take this perfume with me. Calling this a citrus fragrance isn't doing it justice - it's citrus, on a soily ground, in the rain, by the sea - damp, a little musty, a little spicy. It captures Goa in September perfectly. So now, when I'm having a particularly stressful week, I spray this on myself, take a whiff and transport myself to the sea in the rain. I can breathe again, relax again. Refined, simple, brilliant. 9/10

Alright, some tapping on the ceiling of drugstore quality, light and pleasant greenery reminiscent of authenticity. Notes are okay, not top of the top, nice crispness, definitely unisex, even quite masculine, not feminine. Light and good even. Not worth buying, too much competition, but there’s something holding the fort. ⸻ Too much incense, too much dryness, spiciness, like in Hermes24.

The 200ml bottle came with a sprayer that can be removed as well as a screw-on cap to turn it into a splash. I recently doused with it instead of spraying: A small pool in one hand, patted across the chest and back of the neck. I rinsed my hands with some witch hazel and rubbed that on my arms and shirt. I found a lasting musky warmth present in the dry down this time. Is that the patchouli? The Hermes website mentions oakmoss is used here, perhaps that. I think I will leave the sprayer out and apply like cologne now. I don't really need more than one bottle of aromatic sunshine and I think I would rather wear this than Neroli Portofino. Don't be nervous about blind buying, this stuff is impossible to dislike. .

its a sort of a 'fortified', woodier version of the classic and so much 'old-money' EdC by H; its a bit headier, "earthier" than the original, but still very much fleeting / not powerful at all in sillage-longevity department. when layered over the same lines' body lotion its may be ard. 12 hours of divine goodness but still no sillage.

The freshest green smell ever

Camphor sour citrus RIND all green and herbal. Absolute love for me in late Spring and Summer in the south.

This is one of the best things I have ever smelt. and I’ve easily tried over 400 fragrances by now. Skip the non-Concentre version. I wasn’t wowed by it. This one is so much richer smelling.

Love it. Mostly I get orange juice with broken branches of a citrus tree. Is it really made by Jean Guichard or Jean Claude Ellena?

I bought this in my 30’s only to be told by the then girlfriend it was more suited to the ‘older gentleman.’ Now that I’ve danced the stones in the bed of that rubicon I have to say I think she was right. Nothing says you’ve tried every flash in the toilet pan designer citrus and found them wanting quite like Orange Verte. This is the thumb in the rind, the single stream of orange oil programmed to seek and destroy your eye, the scent that tells everyone in the office someone is eating an orange even when they’re nowhere to be seen. But.. Buy the biggest bottle you can afford. Decant some into a dedicated sprayer and take it wherever you’re going because it’ll need to be refreshed. I get, maybe an hour, an hour and a half on clothes and then it’s a skin scent. Alternatively, buy the body cream. Let it dry before applying the scent. You’ll get a little more projection from bare arms and maybe another half an hour of life. Just quietly, layer over Jo Malone, Lime Basil and Mandarin to give that fragrance a sharper edge.

Had it on my hand for an hour...trying to understand what it was reminding me..but ofcourse!!! It was bleu chanel!! The drydown is so close to chanel edt..

This is a must have fragrance, no hesitation, blind buy this and u will not regret it.

Orange, basil, amber, patchouli, nicely blended but low projection

A true classic. Whilst this scent leans towards the masculine, it is certainly light enough to be considered unisex. Much like AdP’s Colonia this is evocative of time gone by without feeling too dated. I don’t think, however, that many young people without a particular interest in perfume would wear either scent. Both citrus heavy but in completely different ways. Both, unfortunately, also suffer from the same performance issues. If the latter was not the case, then this would be a Chef-d'œuvre.
