A very interesting fragrance, the pepper note is so prominent but it evolves into a nice warm rose scent. On my skin it disappears quickly and doesn’t project at all. It is very elegant and not something you smell all the time, but I would not buy it.

This one is the best Twilly, it is sweet and airy, elegant, mature but youtfull, so well put together but I smell mint and something sweet, not vanilla but like honey, flower honey, rose honey or sweet ginger, also orange. It seems so familiar but you can not put it anywhere. So good, love it.

J'aime beaucoup les parfums de Christine Nagel mais j'ai l'impression, sauf si c'est mon nez qui me trompe, que quand ce parfum est sorti il était plus puissant sur la note poivrée et c'est cela qui m'a séduite, c'est une note "obsession" pour moi, ça vous enivre lors de l'application. J'ai demandé à Hermès ce qui c'était passé entre 2019 et 2024 quand je les ai contactés et on m'a répondu que la formulation a surement évolué (SAV). Christine Nagel a un nez incroyable , ses parfums HERMES ont vraiment une personnalité, les notes "signatures" ne doivent pas disparaître derrière les notes "à la mode" pour plaire à + de monde, elles doivent se démarquer incroyablement puisque les parfum en portent le nom (tout comme Citron Noir qui a perdu en intensité) !!

This is one instance when IMO a flanker FAR surpasses the original. Utterly feminine and absolutely divine. Not particularly spicy or peppery, this settles into a modern, but powdery cloud. Twilly Poivrée has a moderate sillage that lasts all day and into the evening. Tout simple, as the French would say, this is NOT a kitchen sink fragrance. The notes you see are the notes you get. I normally don't like patchouli but it works beautifully here in the drydown. Apply this sparingly in hot weather and I think this can work for any time of year. LOVE IT!

Spicy and rosses lil bit woody

The opening is excellent; watery and refreshing, with an airy aquatic lift. Strangely, I don’t read it as “just rose + patchouli” > I get faint traces of the original DNA in there. Unfortunately, that wonderful initial hit quickly gives way to something that feels overly “perfumey” with a slightly sweet, odd turn. Patchouli is still detectable in the base, but it’s heavily smoothed out and sanded down; good news for anyone approaching with patchouli anxiety. The rose in the drydown also picks up a lightly soapy facet. I can’t call it bad, but I didn’t enjoy that sweetness. Tag(s): perfumey, sweet-leaning oddness, softened patchouli, soapy rose

This is like a smile on a cool day, sparkling yet full of warmth. Like a woman who knows her worth and has nothing to prove. The opening is distinctly spicy, with red pepper tingling in the nose. After a moment, rose emerges, not jammy or granny like, but fresh and delicate. The patchouli base is very subtle here, which I personally appreciate. Longevity is around six hours, and the projection feels rather discreet, although that may simply be my impression, as several colleagues stopped by my department to ask what am I wearing that smelled so wonderful.

Although Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée is a flanker to the original Twilly d'Hermès, the two fragrances share nothing in common. Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée, roughly translated to "peppery water" is all about pink peppercorn and powdery pink roses. The original is a soft, bright white floral, and I had anticipated that this flanker would feature the same crisp white floral accords with a hefty dose of pepper. Surprisingly, this fragrance release is a relatively simplistic rose fragrance with a modern blend of notes which is both spicy and vibrant. The patchouli does feature in the base, but wears more soft and musky as opposed to green and dense. Not long after its release in 2019, this fragrance mysteriously began to appear in discount retail chains, and I had assumed this signalled an upcoming discontinuation, however, Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée is still readily available in department stores and Hermès boutiques. The Twilly range appears to be geared towards younger female consumers, hence the reason why it is at a slightly lower price point than the rest of the Hermès line. I rather enjoy this fresh, spicy rose fragrance, and I find its smooth, powdery drydown quite delectable. Despite its warmth, it would make an ideal year-round fragrance. I could also picture some making Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée their signature scent as it is distinctive and charming enough to be worn consistently.

I smelt this at the airport and thought it was extremely unique. I kept picking up a lot of orange, even though there isn’t actually an orange note listed. It definitely leans a bit more mature than I’d usually wear so I didn’t buy it, but I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist afterwards and I kind of regret not buying it now. It has that strange familiarity like I’ve smelt it before but can’t quite place where.

Discovered it a few months ago, and it's an instant yes. It's a very wearable and feminine scent. I usually don't like the smell of rose in perfumes, but this rose is amazing. To me, this smells like makeup; it's a girly scent yet in a very sophisticated and classy way. Using the last sprays of it, I will repurchase it again for sure.

This scent is a little out of my typical taste, but I still quite like it. It's a spicy rose with a very slight natural sweetness (smells very lightly fruity). The notes all blend really well to create a pleasing scent. It smells youthful, but well composed and approachable. It smells like the rich girl in university dormitory that pays most of the bills because she wants everyone to be able to focus on her studies. She's giving and kind, but very practical. If she catches you squandering her help, she will have no issues chewing you up. I won an auction for about 30ml (partially used 50ml) of this for £25, so I'll likely get it to give to a friend more into it or keep for fresh rose. It's something that I'd not have bought for full price (at this price I need to love it, not like it)

I share this perfume with my mom, and honestly I think you have to be a mature woman (at least in spirit) to pull this off. When I smell this, I imagine a rich older lady at the opera - red lip, chunky gold jewelry, et al. The pink pepper blends perfectly with the rose: it is sweet, aromatic, and strong.

It’s just a heavy rose scent, doesn’t offer much else. It starts strong and stays flat. No depth, no development.

I’ve bought my bottle of Twilly d'Hermes Eau Poivree EDP when it was launched and it’s still one of my favourites spicy rose centred perfumes from my collection. Looking at the notes listed, one would expect a simple, maybe slightly boring rose perfume. But trust me, Twilly d’Hermes Eau Poivree is far from being a predictable rose fragrance. I will mention it’s a linear fragrance but it’s blended so well, it’s so intense and rich and it has that addictive scent that makes me sniff myself continuously when I’m wearing it. As name would suggest, it’s also heavy on pink pepper. It’s a warm, balsamic, spicy, peppery, clean patchouli rose forward scent. It’s also very long lasting with moderate to strong radiance in the air and it gets me compliments from ladies often. At its core, it’s a rose perfume and I have/tested quite a few of them. But Twilly d'Hermes Eau Poivrée EDP has that uniqueness about it that makes it stand out from the rest. It doesn’t smell like Atomic Rose, or like Love Chopard, or Porpora, or Scherzo, it doesn’t smell like any of Delina, or the new Creed/Kayali, it smells different than all these other interpretations of a rose perfume. And with only three notes listed in composition, it smells very complex! For me it’s a staple for spring and fall season and I rarely hear anyone talking about it! I think Hermes gets overlooked often because it’s a classic French house with a more unconventional approach when it comes to the fragrances they release currently. Hermes doesn’t follow trends, they create classic masterpieces! Might not be the rose for everyone, because I know patchouli can be very hard for some people in perfumes, but for others like me, this is one of the best/ strongest/ addictive/richest rose centred fragrance releases by a designer brand in the last ten years! Christine Nagel created a glorious rose perfume!!

Too much ambrox. A misfire for me

This is such a beautiful and well put together fragrance. It’s not a generic rose or patchouli perfume. I enjoy every minute of it, and I’m so happy I found this beauty.

Soft spicy, warm perfumey rose. This is a clean rose, more on the powdery side of roses than jammy or super soapy. And the patchouli is muted and clean as well, but not so much as though you cannot sense any. It’s just a safe patchouli, so if you typically hate it you’ll not even notice it in here, bc it blends so well with the pink pepper. Pink pepper always gives fragrances a girly, spicy kick. And here it gives it this makeup smell, but it’s not dusty or old. It’s just a warm, nostalgic sort of makeup scent. I can see men liking this fragrance, it’s definitely a classy “lady perfume” type of scent. No age to label this with, this is just for someone who wants a warm rose embrace with gentle powdery patchouli to give it some spice. This is for someone unapologetically feminine. Super pretty, also an everyday fragrance! Better performance than the other twillys. Has nothing in common with the OG, other than the slight spice.

This fragrance is unlike the ones I usually go for and surprisingly enjoy it a lot. It blended with my skin so nicely and I can still feel the scent a day after. Considering it was just two sprays to test it, that’s quite impressive. You should definitely not go overboard with spraying and apply little since it is strong. I have a feeling I’ll wear this more on special occasions rather than on the daily, it is good.

Such a beautiful scent. It lasts all day and on me it is sweet, floral and spicy. You can wear this dressed down or up, it is safe to wear for fall, winter and early spring. Twilly Poviree does remind me of Alexandre J; Rose Alba...they have similar scent notes.

This is interesting but all in all too sweet. It starts very nice but then it drowns in sugar. I can see what people are seeing but the spice and sugar are not well balanced here for me. Too tame. I will finish the sample, then say "What's new?"

A very fresh floral scent. Can smell a little bit of pepper after dry down. It has honeysuckle&davana vibe by jo malone. Not very long lasting but still a very beautiful scent.

Confused by these negative comments. Every time I wear this I get compliments. Maybe some people's skin chemistry don't vibe with this. Spicy rose scents work for me, I love this one.
