Luxurious, feminine, sweet, powdery, and very soapy. The perfect classic “clean girl” scent. I like to wear it after using the Dove deep moisture body wash, as it smells like an elevated, much more complex perfume version of that scent.
this perfume somehow smells bright without veering into warmth or sharpness. not the shock of sun bearing down on you during an oppressive heatwave or the piercing white of fluorescent overheads, but the soft, watery light of an overcast morning. it's solar without being too much, and the lilac really rounds out the milky bitterness of the almond. alternatively, this fragrance perfectly mimics the sensation of cracking open a refrigerated can of 露露杏仁露 with no central a/c to fend off the humidity. more than a little devastated that i accidentally shattered my 3.4 oz while moving furniture around my apartment ):
If you want to smell like wet bushes of lilac after rain🪻 I don’t get any creaminess from it, but it’s not sharp or screechy either On my skin it’s just a musky wet lilac with jasmine with slight sunscreen undertone Was really hoping for more but maybe it just doesn’t mesh well with my chemistry…
Rain! Petrichor! Ethereal! This perfume is one of the most emotionally complex I have ever laid my nose upon. The petrichor note for me is upfront and I am surprised this is not talked about as much! Imagery: ~A walk through a garden in the rain, your eyes are wet and everything looks blurry ~Wearing a white dress and floating down a river ~Dandelion seeds floating through the air It smells like what Arwen or Galadriel from Lord of the Rings may smell like. So unique, so fresh yet intense and an entirely one of a kind experience for me. Beautiful!
the duality of this fragrance is my favorite thing. sometimes it makes me feel like a dewdrop fairy or the princess of honeysuckle, other times it makes me feel very executive and aloof. it’s sweet and inviting at its core (the comparison to nivea lotion is definitely astute), but on the surface its sweetness is tinged with something green and slightly bitter. like a rainy bed of lilacs. this smells like a corporate secretary waking up from a dream about being a unicorn and promptly shrugging it off, trading a silk slip for a crisp pencil skirt.
A beast for humid weather! I love this. Feminine and soft. The lilac takes center stage the entire time I wear this, and the solar notes back it up beautifully. Floral forward scents aren’t my number one choice, but this one I really love and reach for often in hot weather.
this is the first "real" frag i bought myself (as a 20 year old woman) and i thought i'd get a delicate, uniquely soft, feminine perfume, but lowkey it just smells like a mom or aunt. musky, soapy floral. not bad, just reminiscent of a certain age category i don't belong to
This is a true lilac indeed. Very lilac dominant but complex and nuanced. I must disagree with the white floral - it comes off way more as a yellow floral to me. Very solar, warm and comforting! Smells like 30 degree summer afternoon with a nice breeze. The almond milk notes start to show with the dry down, but it opens very strikingly floral and give off the vibe of a body lotion or body wash. It's clean smelling but not in an aquatic fresh sense. It feels like taking a nice shower after a day out at the beach in the summer, and you're all clean and moisturized but still a bit hot. The dry down is very interesting: it has a lingering spicy scent that stays in your nose after you breath out. I'm personally not a huge fan of ambroxan usually but the milkiness and spicy notes work very well.
agree with @jesssssss. i'm wearing this today and can't stop smelling myself. It's so good and perfect for the Summer.
I wanted a unique perfume which does not smell like any roses or citruses or woody or spicy. An everyday wear. This fits the bill to a T. A true lilac scent. Upon initial spray on my wrist, I can smell lilac and almond notes and bit of the anise. Initial projection lasts on my skin for around half hour. Then comes the magical dry down which is amazing with lot of soapy notes coming in. That's kind of addictive and makes it a clean girl scent - powdery and creamy. Further dries down to musk and vanilla. Love that as well. However, does not project. I have to sniff my arm to be able to smell the perfume. Becomes a skin scent pretty soon. Got it at a huge discount so value for money. Lasts for 2-3 hours post which you need to respray. Spraying on clothes makes the scent last much longer...however the dry down is way toned down on clothes in my opinion. It's quite lilac forward on clothes. It's not screechy and attention grabbing. I love it as an everyday perfume.
an extremely creamy & luxurious body cream... is all that this is & i'm not complaining. i find this so so beautiful especially because it is so versatile. you can literally wear it anytime during any season because this just makes you smell extremely clean
This is such a beautiful, lovely and jouyful scent of authentic lilac. Hm, this creaminess ... I can smell a tiny little bit almond and anise in it, but whole is about nice lilac in variety colours :-) This is a spring in a bottle. Unfortunately, I find this parfume this year and now it is discontinued. I found a scent very close to Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste (I smell a lilac, but is not in it) but much more projection and sillage. This is like classic lilac soap, but smells divine :-) I understand it can be to much for person who do not like soapy scents, but in less amount it is very nice. My collegue complimented me every day we have meet. I have a half of a bottle for next spring.
This is so beautiful. It's very clean and I really love it for bed. It's smells like a beautiful body lotion. I find it very comforting and it performs well. I don't get much rose in the top buy I get the lilac. The drydown is musky but the almond milk stops it from being sharp. It's soft. I love it.
I think some people expect too much from a perfume. It’s clean soft and comforting lilacs. Like wearing your most comfortable white t shirt. Easy to wear, and a “you smell good” scent.
this fragrance invokes the image of a darling angel resting upon a creamy lilac cloud. to my nose it has an interesting juxtaposition with the warmth from the solar notes plus the perceived coolness of the lilac. it's so comforting and spa-like, bringing me back to the times i've gotten massages while on vacation and left still smelling the essential oils they always use. it gives me the same feeling of stepping out of the shower and putting on an expensive lotion. i've never owned a perfume like this and something tells me i'll buy another one the moment i find it at burlington. it's truly an enchanting scent that soothes anyone that gets near you. such a shame it's being discontinued (◞‸◟,)
The top notes are lovely and soft musky floral. Then comes the letdown... the drydown. Smells like oud. If you like oud or synthetic oud whatever that rank smell is.. youll like. Dreamwood?ambroxan? Yuck. Smells like oud. This website should focus on accuracy. It was almost clean until we got there which was all of 3 to 5 minutes. But I got a hint of the popular dirty note from the start. So no, looking for clean and a fail, not my taste and definitely not for healthcare
im sorry but this is super basic :(
Okay, don't get me wrong this one smells good but it doesn't smell soapy as everyone keeps saying on tiktok 😫💔 I blind bought it bc I love clean and soapy fragrances and had high hopes for it but it's more like a luxury body cream instead of a bar soap. The jasmine note overpowers everything else and it doesn't feel "fresh" at all... it feels heavy and strong asf, something I'd use on a date night. It's not a bad perfume just not what I was looking for. If you're planning to get it because everyone says it smells "clean" and "soapy" and "soft" DON'T !!! But if you're looking for a floral, musky and luxury-like fragrance then go for it ! Overall 8/10 Smells good, doesn't last long on skin tho.
Found lots of them at Burlington's for $24.99...for those interested.
Wearing this one today and it’s so lovely. It smells clean and soft but also creamy. It makes you smell like you just put on a beautiful smelling body lotion after stepping out of the shower, or like you put Nivea Crème on and sat out in the sun letting it warm up on your skin. It’s surprisingly strong too especially for a “soft and clean” fragrance. Perfect for when you just want to smell nice without doing too much. Sad it’s been discontinued!
This quickly became one of my favorite bed time scents, sad to hear it already is discontinued... But wahh well we know how that story goes right? They always discontinue the best ones😓
Very floral and surprisingly strong — one spray is enough for me. It smells like sunshine and blooming flowers, with a beautiful, rounded base. I get a slightly aquatic feeling, but it's subtle and never takes over. It evokes a sunny afternoon by a lake surrounded by blooming lilacs and lily-of-the-valley. Also, despite what many people say, I don't find the almond milk and creamy notes to be particularly dominant. They're definitely there, but more as a soft, comforting backdrop that supports the lilac, orange blossom, and the other floral notes rather than defining the fragrance. Really sad they are discontinuing it now that I found my spring and summer signature scent, I'm gonna buy another bottle.
what came to mind after spraying: marzipan, lilac petals, sea notes, & anisette . its not salty, but there is definitely something akin to Pure L’eau d’Issey throughout the wear . the bottle and packaging is rather captivating too . the longer it wears its also reminding me of Ocean Dreams by Giorgio Beverly Hills . i find the other florals here are more noticeable when sprayed a few times in one spot . i like this one a lot, i mainly got it because i had no reference to lilac and this was praised a lot by people across different platforms . i didnt even open fragrantica or parfumo to look at the notes again before purchasing, but now i see its already discontinued . i voted for nighttime, as i mainly see it used for bedttime or early morning when you dont want an abrasive scent but something motivating or uplifting . i will say its not the most uncommon lotiony scent, but its doing it very well and unique enough to warrant a try if you like other options from issey miyake . its decidedly more intriguing and unique than lumiere dissey which i guess is replacing this line .
Wow! I did not know it was discontinued. What a shame! I found a bottle at Burlington yesterday. I had seen this one mentioned several times online and had read a few reviews on here in the past. I love the opening, there is something slightly animalic in the dry down, but overall a pretty, floral, fresh musk. I could see some seeing it as dated, but to me it’s nostalgic and somewhat unique for a clean musk.
I got this perfume as a gift a few years back for my mom because she has always loved lilacs; she would always go out and pick some fresh wild lilacs as soon as they started to bloom. It's so hard to find not only lilac-scented goods (perfume, candles, etc.), but lilac done WELL. I was so ecstatic when I found this. Now that I'm hearing it's being tragically discontinued, I decided to pick up a bottle for myself on clearance. While almond milk is definitely there, to me it is just in the background to give it a lactonic, creamy depth, but the lilac is most certainly the star of the show. I'm not generally a floral perfume lover (I tend to love vanillas, spices, aromatics, etc.) but this is done so beautifully and is balanced. BRING HER BACK!
I can confirm that sadly it is being discontinued so far. Nearly all stocks have been depleted in (online) stores where i'm from. So sad indeed bc i just got to know this gem in spring and discovered that in warm to hot summer weather, this is absolutely gorgeous. It"s refreshing but dewy creamy soft The second best lilac i have come across. (First comes the composition of Love eau intense by Chloe, the best fragrance ever made, also discontinued) Also the bodymilk smells exactly like the blossoming purple lilacs in spring near my home and in my grandmothers' garden Photorealistic! I love it so much🥲🪻🪻🪻
This is so beautiful! I can't describe the lovely milky lilac scent better than has been done here. Truly a travesty that it has been discontinued. Such an elegant beauty. Typically, a soft floral like this fades quickly, but this morphs through subtle soft layers of scent and lasts all day.
A very pretty, clean and delicate fragrance that reminds me of my first ever signature scent, Gap Close. This conjures up the impression of flowers wet with morning dew, a touch of creaminess, and a slight saltiness that reminds me of the ocean. My skin often doesn't play well with florals, but this one smells beautiful on me.
Milky almond & lilac lotion 🧴 Something so nostalgically 90s about this! Seems odd to already be discontinued. Released in 2021 as a pillar and followed by two flankers. I’m surprised how fast they got rid of this.
GORGEOUS, definitely smells like lilac but it's also creamy and it'll be in constant rotation for me all summer. I absolutely love it, and the price is totally amazing for how delightful it is. The bottle is so cute too
