It sounds good in theory, but to me, it smells like a very harsh detergent... not in a good way. It's so sour, strong, and stings my nose, and I couldn't wait to get it off me after trying it. Smelling it almost made me nauseous and my nose hurt. If you like this fragrance, the plus side is that it lasts long and the sillage is also pretty good. If you like very fresh perfumes, you should try this, it's just very not my cup of tea.

I hated it so much. Decided to try it because I saw a video saying this was a timeless perfume…it definitely is not. It is screechy, gave me nausea and made my nostrils hurt. Smells vintage in a bad way.

The first time I experienced this scent all i got was dead roses inside a vase filled with water But the more i wear it when i find it in stores the better it gets until i started dreaming about it literally And happily i got my hands on it I love it so much it needs time to get used to You may not like it at first but it grows on you so fast you cannot believe how you disliked it at first It’s basically a very very rosy scent So much fresh rose with lotus and peony And then the aquatic watery part is what makes me feel like life is beautiful Incredibly Aquatic and that’s what makes me love it Dew drops over flower petals It projects very nice and lasts a pretty long time don’t overspray unless you’re outdoor

I cannot describe enough how much this scent is absolutely magical. So true to it's proposal, lightweight, feminine, whimsy, delicate, and so much more. It's one of those nosegasmic scents that change lifetimes. It doesn't last much with projection, but you always catch a faint whiff and the experience repeats itself so magically it's worth every penny. I highly recommend this perfume. It reminds me of dreams, fog over a river, water and a droplet over a petal.

Анонім★★★★★

I wish I liked it, but... I get powdery melon and alcohol. It also smells like dead petal smell when you keep a bouquet of flowers in your house a little too long. It's not disgusting, but I was taken aback when I opened the sample vial and unimpressed when I wore it awhile.

On my girlfriend it lasts for over 20 hours lol, she uses it at 6 am and I feel it at 11 am next day when we wake up. exceptional performance. funny thing is at first I didn't like it but liked pour homme version at first smell, but now they smell 90 percent the same for me haha. Smells giving similar vibes to cool water with honey and lemon juice to me

strong lily and jasmine hits, 10 seconds after applying nuances of melon, white musk, lily came through a minute or two later--- beautiful, bright, comforting leather, and little else, after 30 minutes

Absolutely beautiful. Every note IS bright, clean, and “transparent.” Green-fresh, wet, melon-sweet (not sugary), vaguely creamy (white flowers and sandalwood not soap), and a subtle but stunning use of cedarwood. THIS is what I didn’t know I was looking for whenever I smelled Jessica McClintock or Happy in the ‘90s. I wanted something similar but greener, more complex, and more smoothed out. I wanted L'eau d'Issey Issey Miyake. Thank goddess they’re still making it and as per original

Анонім★★★★★

ok so this one is absolutely the only perfume I've ever had to immediately wash off. I don't know what it is for sure but it just smells like rotten fruit. I guess it would have to be the melon. It was terrible on me and I really wanted to like it.

Анонім★★★★★

It reminds me of my mum :)

I agree with the comment that said they feel like a little frog on a lily pad. The vibe is a pond with water flowers after the top notes settle down. Very pleasant and calming. Office friendly and good longevity for an EDT

If a perfume could be kind this would be it. Wearing L’eau D’Issey Miyake edt feels like I’m floating into a natural pool of ethereal dew. I feel physically refreshed. This scent evokes nostalgia.

It smells amazing on my skin. It's so fresh, floral, and with a touch of sweetness that I simply love this perfume. It's so distinctive that I haven't found anything like it; it has a perfect balance. I recommend it for those who enjoy fresh and floral scents, but not too intense, and for those who prefer sweet perfumes without them being cloying or heavy. While it's not a gourmand perfume, it's a good option with a sweet touch; perhaps it also depends on each person's skin, but it's perfect.

This is really clear, like clear water in early spring, cold and icey still, flowers are coming boldly trough the melting snow, sun all around and birds singing. That it is for me. Hate tuberose though, but it is fine here.

This perfume made me like floral perfumes. I'm still a novice in perfumes and I thought I liked floral scents before but it turns out I was thinking of sweet scents. After using this perfume I like my other floral perfumes a lot more! I got this as a gift and I am really happy with it. It reminds of me a flower garden where the flowers have just been watered. I live in a place where you can really strongly smell different flowers during different times of the year and this perfume feels just like that. Of course, it can't smell like actual real life flowers because at the end of the day it's just a perfume, but it definitely comes close enough. I'm super sensitive to smells and this perfume definitely comes to a point where at certain times it smells just natural and not like a perfume.

I grabbed a 50 ml bottle of this fragrance for $20, so no regrets, but I don't enjoy this scent at all. The florals, particularly the rose, are overwhelming, and give off a weird, artificial air freshener vibe. It wasn't a scrubber only because it doesn't last long.

I’m a little frog on a lily pad.

So fresh and lasts all day

just found a 2018 batch in perfect condition and it is absolutely fantastic more aquatic with vividly fresh flowers. in the opening there you have bitter yuzu and in the drydown you are in heaven with clean melony powdery woody base. big love. there is a reason this is still around after 30 years. it was a revolutionary scent in its time and I think it still is...

I was pleasantly surprised by this fragrance because I expected it to be more aquatic floral on my skin with little else that stands out. Instead, my skin's chemistry brought out the cedar so at first it smelled like the soft florals and watery notes, almost like a luxurious garden pond, and then there was that pleasant spicy smell that you get from smelling spruce needles in the winter (like a spruce tree covered in snow) that came in as a welcomed intruder to this ensemble of notes. That made me like L'Eau d'Issey so much more.

I’m fairly new to exploring fragrance- to really paying attention- but I can say with absolute certainty that I don’t like lily. Nope not at all.

A beautiful aquatic floral, smells like a pond with blooming flowers. I do not like the initial spray, it's a tad harsh and artificial, but after a few minutes it turns very fresh and lovely. It definitely has a bit of an outdated scent profile, especially with the melon note and the amount of flowers listed. It's almost too strong in my opinion, very impressive sillage and projection. I usually like softer scents, but this is not that offensive because it is so fresh and airy. I like it but would not repurchase.

I am relatively new to fragrance and I enjoy the archetype of fresh, dewy aquatic florals so I wanted to give L’Eau D’Issey a spin as a classic in the genre. It’s very pretty and it smells very much like an amalgation of all its contemporaries and descendants. I’m sure it stood out more in 1992, but today, I’m not convinced this is an essential addition to my collection.

L'eau d'Issey reminds me of walking past a hedge of fresh honeysuckle just after it rained in the late spring. I don't even care much for floral-dominant scents, but this one is very soft and pleasant.

It smells so 90’s and the 90’s will forever be in style. This is 90’s yet still so modern and futuristic at the same time! Something that continues to be so 90’s yet surpassing modern aesthetic by a lot. For example, the apartment decor from the Carolyn Bessette and JFK Jr LOVE STORY series, everything in their home was so chic and minimalist and forever “in”. I can imagine that space smelling similar to this fragrance: minimalist industrial aesthetic, select Japanese designer, CK, glossy magazines, thick white wall paint, SADE vinyls and a sole simple vase of Calla Lillies on a MCM table. Unisex although not for everyone, but I did love it. And I’d love to have that bottle! With L'eau d'Issey Issey Miyake, you won’t smell delicious, yummy or beautiful… you will smell unique, minimalist, modern but more importantly… interesting.

I really don’t know how I feel about this one. I’ve heard/read so many reviews saying it’s a great feminine aquatic, which I’ve been hunting for, so was excited to find it cheap in the perfume jail at TJ Maxx. On First spray it gives old lady to me, and not in a good way. I’m in my mid-40’s so not exactly youthful, but this is often described as youthful? The floral notes are also VERY strong. Overall this is very strong for an EDT. The initial sharp and, to me, unpleasant smell begin to fade about 15 minutes later and I could get a hint of the aquatic notes, but it was still overpowered by the florals. After about 2 hours I get the lovely aquatic I want, but I’m not sure I can wear this regularly given I don’t enjoy the opening or mid. Any perfumes that are the aquatic I’m getting in this after a couple hours? Without the florals and sharp opening? THAT is what I’m searching for. I will say - this does last! Silage is strong at first, then becomes moderate. Most EDT’s are also gone on my skin in 2-3 hours but this one lasts all day. I’m really surprised at the wear being its an EDT

Easily one of my most favorite perfumes ever. And I repurchased it couple of times. For me this is ideal summer scent that is not a citrus smell (sometimes I just want something else). It is strong, but absolutely not overwhelming, it is just fresh, clean (not soapy or powdery clean, but non-intrusive clean). Funny thing is, I cannot break it into any of its components - I cannot tell the fruits, or the different flowers in it, or the woodsy smell. It is just its own unique perfect blend. Great for the office, or to go out. Love it, I'm on my 3rd bottle, and I will repurchase it again in the future.

Easily top 5 best women perfumes of all time. Intense enough to be smelled by everyone that you pass by, but moderate enough to not be disgusting. The best citrus of probably all time, with some notes that are JUST with each other. A 10/10 in every aspect. People nowadays use things like JPG. C'mon. Nothing too serious against good ol' Issey.

This fragrance was released on the year I was born and I feel like it's been in my life ever since. It's my grandmothers signature fragrance and almost all the older women in my family have worn or owned it at some point, and I was gifted my own bottle recently. It makes it hard to review, because I have such strong memory ties to it now, its hard to read it as a standalone scent. Airy, light, floral, clear, soft, vintage. It has a bit of a glossy Frutiger Aero charm that I've started appreciating. Incredibly recognizable, which is almost a let down, because when I smell it on people I don't really enjoy the smell as an accessory to the person, I see that person as the accessory to the fragrance. I do slightly wish they'd selected fewer flowers for the notes. Too many florals and the scent starts becoming "shampoo/soap'y", which is pretty common with vintage fragrances, and this one does suffer from that...

Good scent but very weak it’s last only 1-2hour
