A clean, sophisticated perfume with a soapy and skin scent, however, because it has white floral notes, it didn't appeal to me much. Hours later, when I smelled it... Oh my God, this perfume smells like a rich but simple woman, and I remember it smelling like the soaps at the hotel when I went on vacation with my father as a child.

This was my signature scent through college. And I think it played its part for that time in my life when I wanted to appear sophisticated, independent, and sexy. I haven't put my nose on it recently, but I remember just adoring this perfume. It was bold, but not too overbearing. And while I wore her year round, she leaned a little rich so now I'd avoid high temps. There are probably a lot of people who says she smells old lady, but I never got that wearing her. The opening was strong, but I was always complimented for smelling good.

As distinct and unique (in today's perfume landscape) as Miaw93's review is dumb and aggressive.

My mum's go-to that she gave me a bottle of. I love it because it smells like her and I love my mum. But also this is a rare wear for me, as it's not very me. But I'll keep this forever so I can always smell her when I miss her :')

Smells straight up like walking into a hair salon with the hairdryers all going and someone is getting bleached and hair products all overlapping. Migraine inducing. Gave it away!

All time favourite, top 5. What I love about this perfume is the quality. It is so well made and put together, the notes blend so well. You can look at the notes and think yep I can smell that. It’s got so much depth, only a woman of substance and warmth could wear this. This is hyper feminine but womanly, it embodies goddess, the divine feminine… The notes that stand out to me are orange blossom (not in a sickly way), a rosey pear, plum, vanillary ginger, amber. And I can smell caramel, butter scotch. Almost like a powdery ambery candied apple, but soft and warm…and deep.

I can't really appreciate the scent because every time I smell it, I just think "mature scent" Ended up gifting to my mom, and she agrees but loves it.

Since discovering this fragrance, I've never gone without it. I'm a guy who loves feminine perfumes because they really suit me. My mother used this perfume from the beginning, then she stopped, and now it's my signature scent. It's a perfume with a lot of personality and an interesting story. As someone who previously preferred gourmand perfumes, I thought it was unthinkable that I would ever change my mind, but this perfume was a turning point for my tastes and made me discover that I love floral and powdery perfumes. My first impression was that it smells like a doll; the femininity of this perfume is so multifaceted. It can feel strong and quite powdery at first, which gives the perfume a mystical feel, and then it transforms into something soapier with a rose scent and a lovely floral vanilla at the end, giving a feeling of a more tender and warm femininity. It's feminine, fierce, mysterious, and tender. I simply love it; I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't enjoy such powdery scents.

This fragrance is so vintage. It’s mature, classy, the ginger and vanilla notes combined so well. I’m so happy I got this. It’s definitely going to be one of my favs

Delicate yet elegant. She knows who she is

On the blotter, it smells like straight-up bar soap to me. Like a nice honeysuckle soap, maybe. It's not unpleasant, I'll give it that! But I prefer other types of perfumes - and other types of soaps, really.

Hey Miaw93, do ALL of your reviews have to mention elderly people in a disparaging way? It is really odd, I think you have a problem. You are obviously not intelligent enough to describe a perfume well- because calling most of the fragrances you review "elderly" is really dumb.

elegant powdery dreamy amber very amazing this is soooo timeless it doesnt give dated at all its such a sexy girly femme scent for seduction and playfullness i love it one of my favorite jpgs

A classic. I get complimented everytime I wear it. Very feminine, elegant.

I love Classique, especially in spring time. You can smell the powder, vanilla, the Orange Blossom, something Woody and even a little aqua note. I understand people feeling like this is a vintage and mature scent. It's soft and deep. Honestly, I'm still head over heels with this scent, after so many years. So womanly. I assure you that if this perfume wasn't known, someone would've have made it and people would rave about it saying it's bold, seductive, warm and it would go viral.

So mature and dated, I don't think young people can get away with this it's very elderly smelling, zero sweetness just pure soap and powder, to the but hurt person that responded to my review lol, saying a fragrance is elderly is descriptive, if you find offense with that then sorry I hit a nerve but it's my opinion that I'm entitled to, how is it degrading when I'm just saying it how I smell it? I think it's weird that YOU are so upset over a simple review lol, also I don't only leave reviews stating an elderly vibe at all, if you look at my reviews I smell tons of fragrance and love many, not ever fragrance is elderly smelling to me but if it is why would I not give my honest opinion? Strange woman go touch some grass perhaps

The Sillage of Presence: A Critique of JPG Classique In the landscape of modern perfumery, few compositions manage to balance the tension between Structural Elegance and Raw Allure with such sartorial precision. Classique is not merely a fragrance; it is a Gilded Masterpiece of olfactory tailoring, designed for the woman who views her femininity as a Limitless Currency. The Top-Note Ascent The opening is an Opalescent Surge of orange blossom and crystalline ginger. It bypasses the current Odoriferous Noise of the market, offering instead a High-Couture Clarity. This is the scent of a woman who has mastered the art of the Luminous Entrance. It doesn't ask for permission; it establishes a Radiant Dominance that is as effortless as it is absolute. The Heart: A Botanical Couture As the initial brilliance mellows, the heart reveals a Velveteen Symphony of ylang-ylang and iris. Here, the "corseted" architecture of the bottle finds its liquid match. There is a Manicured Lushness to this phase—a floral density that feels like heavy silk sliding over skin. It creates a Sanctuary of Sophistication, ensuring the wearer remains the Refined Epicenter of any room she chooses to inhabit. The Base: The Infinite Trail The finale is a Molten Infusion of vanilla and sensual amber. It provides a Weightless Authority that lingers in the air like a whispered promise. This is where the scent achieves its Final Flourish—a lingering Aura of Distinction that ensures her influence is felt long after her physical departure. It is the ultimate Aromatic Signature of a woman who is not just present, but Legendary.

Classique has been part of my collection since its release in spring 1993. It feels best on my skin in warm weather, then it truly unfolds its sultry properties. A timeless classic, sexy and unique.

This perfume taught me how to appreciate soapy vintage style scents. At first I would bury my nose in my wrist and the smell was so sharp and dated at first, but since I have a free sample of this, I kept giving it a chance out of curiosity. To my surprise, I realized these kinds of scents are MAGIC when it comes to their scent bubbles. How this smells from a distance, not right up your nose, is sooo angelic, warm, sexy, and excludes goddess energy. It is truly hypotizing, and I see I have a newfound love for vintage style scents thanks to this.

I have an older bottle of this perfume that I’m selling if anyone is interested in buying. Message me. I’m on Mercari too. Just decluttering my way too large collection:)

This is such a beautiful scent I've always loved it and I wish I could wear it but sadly it gives me a monster rash wherever I spray the worst of any perfume I've tried! I've tried a few times over the years... So beautiful though 😍

This pertume is imprinted on my brain. I am the youngest child in the family and my first cousins are all around 20 years older than me. We lived in the same building and I remember how much I loved watching my supermodel cousins (especially to 5-6 year old me) get ready to go out, put make up (early 00s make up was something else), dress up, and they always wore this one. Once they left, I'd always go sniff the bottle, and kept their empty ones like a small treasure, to sniff like a drug. I love love love it so much. I'd never wear it because its stuck in the early 00s for me, and this memory. Like it can still only be theirs. It's a time machine, and I am a little girl again, dreaming to have my own bottle of perfume one day. :)

so dreamy and sexy

Bold. Sharp, oriental opening. I picture a burst of water from a sprinkler into a very sunny sky at the opening. Settles into a spicy, floral, powdery, slightly sweet, soapiness but not the creamy Dove type. This is Pears Transparent Soap or Imperial Leather. The soapiness is very prominent and stays the whole journey. This scent runs both cool and warm. Incredible longevity and silage. I imagine someone from the Moulin Rouge to the Great Gatsby to Madonna in JPG corset with pinstripe suit wearing this. Feminine yet strong. But it’s not vintage, it’s classic, the name is perfect for this. She’s heady, loose, wild, bare and dripping with sex appeal yet at the same time opulent, high class, buttoned up, formal, powerful and intriguing. Bold indeed. 🤍🖤🪻🛁🪭🎩

Wow this was ahead of its time! Safanad, anyone?

This smells spot-on to a salon high-end hair care product (deep conditioner treatment maybe?) and it's bugging me that I cannot put a name on it lol. Very classy and nostalgic.

I want to reach for this a lot, but as I have now acquired many, many perfumes in a rapid time frame, I try to choose all around from my range. Yet each time I look at this bottle and think, mmm… smells so delicious, like rich 1990s! My impressions are: rich; classy; rich-smelling; bold; sexy. It suits me so well (someone below said it is for a 90s woman who smokes to suppress her appetite, I cracked up laughing at that as this is totally me right now!). Comforting. And I can even wear it for bedtime. Or I’m thinking it might be a nice kick-ass gym scent, as I find the orange blossom (and ginger I guess) just so sensually, sensorily appealing to the very back of my nose. Love it! This is one of my "love" perfumes, and I quite like almost everything I have too, so this one’s Top. Retro; 90s vintage; rich bitch; classy; powerful; sensuous; JPG? Yes!!

Honestly, i don't have this perfume, and i won't buy it, i just got a very old bottle, almost empty from when we emptied my dear Grandma's house, and i just cherish it. It smells just like her, feminine, sweet, vintage. It's this kind of scent that reminds you of a very specific memory, and i can remember me and her picking up raspberries from her garden and smelling her delicate perfume as she was next to me. I miss her, but this fragrance reminds me of her, and the almost empty bottle will stay like this a very long time, i don't want to use it. I just wanted to say it's a good memory.

Анонім

It really gives vintage vibes. It evokes the kind of fragrance worn by older generations. On paper, it’s very sweet and quite fresh in the opening, I notice floral and orange notes. But it doesn’t work on my skin. After spraying it on my wrist, it becomes soapy and even bitter at first, and after a while it turns into a sweet, powdery scent. Too mature for my taste.
