Lust for Sun

A nice, light floral to wear out on a summer day or evening. The coconut note wasn't prominent at first but did come forward as it settled. The mixture of coconut/floral was giving me a sunscreen vibe, but not in a terrible way.

This is my absolute favorite perfume, it’s summery, musky, has layers, very beautiful, long lasting, my signature scent, love it

Tried this one since I was looking for a Ylang perfume. When I tried it in the store it smelled heavenly and the Ylang scent was great but after I bought it and put it on at home, somehow I couldn't smell the Ylang that much anymore. Tried it on a couple of different occasions but it still didn't work for me. Don't know what was different about the in-store bottle... It still smells fairly good, but I was looking for a pure Ylang scent so I sold it. If you're looking for a Ylang scent, try Ylang Ylang Blossom Solinotes.

It’s a nostalgic morning in a bottle, a clean new bedsheet with rays of sun coming through the window, nothing mind blowing a nice fresh scent that is not soapy

I enjoy this a lot! I'm not crazy about bergamot notes in general and it seems out of place here, but I'm glad that it's just a top note that is almost undetectable after 10-15 minutes. I loveee fresh white florals and it has strong gardenia and ylang-ylang middle notes which are some of my fave smells ever <3. Coconut comes through as a top note as well and I wish that the coconut lingered more but that's okay lol. My boyfriend smelled it at first spray and said that it smelled like sunscreen which I'm cool with because I love sunscreen smells. The longevity for Juliette Has A Gun fragrances is always good and the sillage is a bit above average, so it's high performing. Overall, just a really beautiful summer or spring that feels like summertime poolside childhood nostalgia. People say that it smells like laundry once it dries down which I can see, but it's definitely more complex than clean laundry and it's relatively unique. The bergamot opening is my only gripe about this, but I still really like it and would totally buy a full bottle and just thug out the top notes.

It’s a hot summer day in the 90s, you’re 12 years old, slathered in sunscreen, a towel wrapped around your sunburnt shoulders as you leave the beach and head to your mom’s salon appointment. Upon entering the salon, you sit down in the waiting area, your hair still damp from swimming, the smell of your sunscreen mixing with the scents in the salon, and begin flipping through one of the many magazines while waiting for your mom to get her hair cut. The next page is a perfume advertisement with an already opened and used perfume strip. You rub your wrist back and forth against the thick paper hoping to transfer any remaining scent onto your skin. You lift your wrist and inhale the subtle smell of yellow and white florals mixing with the already there sunscreen, while a nearby blow dryer wafts the scent of shampoo and hairspray across the salon in your direction. This is Lust for Sun.

Shocked this doesn't have a higher rating... it's so beautiful! Monoï + ylang ylang + white floral breeze. It's a heavenly beach vacation in a bottle. If you like how the Nuxe SPF/sun care smells, it's like that but elevated/more refined. Genuinely a stunner and so likable. Will be traveling with this one this summer!

You NEED to LOVE these notes & especially yellow florals as well as this is very heavy white & yellow florals. It goes super well with Rio radiance, I like them layered even more than alone. 🤗🤍🌼

I really like this fragrance. It's nothing complex or overly special, but creamy, floral, bright, and just a nice and easy wear, especially on sunny days (no matter what season).

Should have been called an 'Ode to ylang' :) like it though. it has some fruitiness to it, which compensates the heaviness of the ylang a bit.

The ylang ylang, jasmine, and gardenia overpower the coconut and turn the potentially delicate and sweet scent into an artificially sweetened sunscreen. Not blind buy safe and potentially headache inducing. I could see this being nice to spray and walk through before layering with another fragrance to add a bright, summery solar punch to your layering combo

Creamy florals with a tropical vibe. I mainly get gardenia, jasmine and ylang ylang over a musky base and coconut. It’s cute but nothing really stands out.

middle of the road white florals and bergamot, i don’t really pick up coconut from this without seeking it out. what is present in the background is more of a quiet synthetic coconut sun screen. meh, not much to say here

I picked this up after smelling it in store, it gave me a nostalgic feeling, cant quite put my finger on it but possibly the smell of a certain children's sun lotion from the late 90's, or maybe something from the Body Shop (UK) but I had to have it. It isn't remarkable in itself other than the intense nostalgic emotion im getting wearing it, its sort of a sticky summer scent, not so much fresh salty air on a sunny beach vibe. I also dont pick up much coconut either. Seems to last ok, as with most JHAG fragrances that last for days on clothes but only about 2-3 hours on skin.

In my Juliette Has a Gun discovery set, this sample stood out to me more than Not a Perfume. When I spray this, the air feels more humid, the florals are creamy, and an aura of seduction and bliss blooms on my skin. It also smells a bit like sunscreen, evoking happy memories of summer by the water. I think they were spot-on with the name Lust for Sun.

I find this scent unremarkable, and I don't understand the sentiment around it being a "beachy" smell. Personally, it smells like someone's grandmother, not to say it's a bad smell, it definitely smells nice and fresh, but not in a vacation way. It's quite strong and can be used for special occasions; it's definitely a summer scent.

I do like this smell. But it is very very strong and overpowering. I don't think it smells at all like a beachy, sun type vibe. Just floral and lots of Jasmin type of scent. Which is still lovely. I don't think of summer or anything , just flowers. I personally don't smell coconut or anything close to that. I like it but it's a bit overpowering for me. I will probably only wear it on special occasions! It smells nice. I just don't see it comparing to summer or sun or anything like that !

Luxurious, elegant while also being sexy and beach-perfect. Gardenia note is addicting and coconut compliments it perfectly. If Sol De Janeiro 81 (or 87? i can’t remember what number it is, but the yellow one) was slightly more sophisticated and floral, this would be it. Reminds me of a luxury hotel room with a beach side view. No notes, just perfect and a good blind buy choice.

Beachy, sweet, white floral, yellow florals citrusy, musky, lactonic, coconut, vanilla, radiant, feminine, sensual, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, sunny, alluring, tempting, addictive, intriguing, inviting, comforting, nostalgic This is such a pretty and beachy scent that’s centered around monoi oil and white florals with a tropical touch of coconut, and a musky dry down. The most prominent notes on my skin are the gardenia, jasmine, coconut, musk, and ylang ylang. It’s got a lovely sun tan lotion-like scent too, although that likely comes from the monoi oil (at least I’ve always thought they had a similar scent). It certainly keeps its promise of being reminiscent of sun warming bronzed skin. This was my 1st perfume from JHAG along with Vanilla Vibes! I really enjoy both of them, as I’m a big fan of beachy/coconut fragrances as well as vanillas and gourmands! I also own Powder Love (which I absolutely adore!), Magnolia Bliss, Not A Perfume, and I have 5ml bottles of Pear Inc and Juliette (Juliette being my least favorite as it’s quite medicinal on me). Lust For Sun is in my top 3 along with Powder Love and Vanilla Vibes. I own quite a few fragrances with similar “beachy” scent profiles. If this is too floral heavy, or musky for you, you might want to check out some of these other ones. I agree with those saying this isn't a particularly unique fragrance, and also that the coconut note is barely perceptible. I can't really smell coconut at all, honestly, which is a bummer. But, overall, it's nice. It smells happy. Solid backup perfume, I'd say.

I love the scent. I haven't smelled anything quite like it. But it only lasts for two hours.

Bought this because I wanted something that smells like monoi oil but lasts longer than monoi oil. Don’t really get the coconut notes, but if you want to smell like straight gardenia and jasmine this is great.

The main fragrance here is jasmine and gardenia so if you don't like white florals, this is not for you. It smells sweet and creamy and delicious like a hot summer's day in a white floral garden. Definitely more feminine, if you are a man this is probably not for you unless you like to wear feminine scents

I really wanted to like this fragrance since I normally love coconut and (white)-florally fragrances. However this smelled like a sweeter catpee/litter box to me... :(

Why is anyone not talking about the marketing photos? 1. Woman in thigh high boots holding a fishing line like she's literally pissing a bottle the perfume into a swimming pool. 2. Woman strangling a plastic flamingo bird on its neck by a man's necktie and rope. 3. Woman reading a novel title ripping off an award winning Czech author. "The Unbearable Lightness of Appearance". Vomit. Smells like cheap old lady church florals in a dirty public toilet. Scent notes resemble Kim Kardashian by Kim Kardashian and lasts as poorly (less than an hour). Florals are gardenia and sweet powdery honeysuckle, faecal month old rotten daffodils. Lasts almost 20 minutes. Then a generic funky dirty Amboxan base that smells like a dirty public toilet. Or cheap filler. The barest hint of watery sweet Vanilla if you put you nose directly on your skin. 20 minutes after that I can't smell anything except a vague sense of powdery dirty unwashed skin. I'm embarrassed to offer my bottle of dirty toilet water and dead church flowers to someone else.

It opens like a public restroom that’s recently been cleaned, but still has that lingering, lived-in “public” smell underneath. In the drydown, it gives more of a warm, rounded yellow floral, softer than the opening, but honestly pretty typical and underwhelming. The coconut is only there if you search for it. Overall it resembles a generic air freshener floral rather than anything sun-kissed or beachy.

I really enjoyed this when I sprayed it on a test strip. I wished the coconut note lasted for longer. I liked the gardenia mixed with jasmine a lot. It kept it from smelling "old or too musky. Upon spraying it on my wrist, I found it went from a more summery floral scent to smelling more sour. I thought it was really nice, just not for me.

I’m getting the coconut notes in it, smells a bit like SDJ 87, upon the initial spray it was very white floral forward. It also reminds me of the body spray from Ouai- St. Bart’s I think. There is a soapy/shampoo element to it. It’s just very floral & with coconut mixed it, but the coconut fades and you’re left with something almost like an 80’s floral arrangement. Something that’s taking me back to my childhood- not in a nostalgic way but more, something I associate with a grandmother, floral & lace drapes with puffy heavy valances, the triangular floral arrangement in the corner. Honestly it smells like marigolds to me. When I close my eyes, I imagine that this is something Martha from Dennis the Menace might wear. Or Sophia from Golden Girls. Ahh well, this is a no for me.
