Katy Perry's Mad Love

Sweet! Found at thrift for a score! Love this fruity sweet coconut scent.

She is a sweet, fruity, girly girl coconut. It's perfect for casual summer days. Light and not too strong.

I love this scent and it makes me sad it's hard to find now. I haven't found a scent like this yet. It's not a super natural or realistic strawberry, but a sweet strawberry sorbet with a creamy coconut base. It's super sweet, but I don't find it cloying. It suits summer, it is milky but as refreshing as having a sorbet. It is quite unique, really looking for a dupe!

When I first bought it, it smelled like generic sugary vanilla. Now that it’s macerated for a little over a year, it smells just a little bit better. Still super sweet and synthetic, but like it’s grown into itself, if that makes any sense. It smells like coconut and a strawberry milkshake. It has the same sweetness level as Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday or Juicy Couture’s Viva La Juicy. It’s playful and two dimensional, kind of like a Katy Perry song. This is the kind of sense that men love to smell on women. Other women probably won’t like it that much. It’s definitely young, but I am 51 and wear it. I wouldn’t wear it out on a date or to a formal event, but it’s fine for a workday or a weekend running errands. It does not last that long, but hardly any of my perfumes do. I’ve just gotten into the habit of carrying the bottle of whatever I’m wearing in my purse, and I’ll refresh it if I go out to my car during lunch.

I love this fragrance. It opens up with a tropical juicy fruit scent and coconut and it is slightly bubble gummy but more like a juicy fruit gum. It smells very coquette to me. The coconut is very pronounced and is the star of the showwhich I love. It is very feminine, sweet, fresh, light, airy and uplifting. This scent would work amazing in summer to because it is so light, it just feels like you have taken an everything shower and you hair and body smell amazing from your shower products, like coconut candy. I think this scent would not bother anyone, it is very tame but very beautiful. However I would have loved if the strength was doubled or tripled, it’s a shame that it’s so light because it is a perfect scent. But I find on clothing it lasts a long time and the dry down turns into a beautiful floral blend. It’s a great price too !!

I love this one, it does have a synthetic vibe, strawberry and vanillin marshmallow ! Well to me, this scent is so warm, cosy and yes, yummy indeed. I’m 61, a bit too old to wear it for work, at home I go crazy on it !

Gross, saccharine and heavy

It’s just okay to me. I’ll wear it for casual outings, like going to the shops, but not when I want something more elevated. It has a fruity, slightly sweet scent that’s nice, but it doesn’t last very long and feels a bit high school-ish.

Its sweet and cute, then turns into sweet weird yet captivating drydown.

I definitely don’t smell the strawberry here. I just only smell the coconut and cream. This perfume definitely smells like a piña colada. That’s the only description It have beautiful sent definitely for the beach or for the summer.

A beautiful strawberry scent that isn't artificial or syrupy smelling. Not saying it's a dupe, but if you like Yara you probably will like this as it shares that same dainty dna. I will be getting a full bottle at some point

Underrated gem. There aren’t a lot of strawberry fragrances out there for some reason, seems like every fruity note has had their moment except strawberry. This is pure sugared strawberry in coconut milk and a dash of cotton candy. Very sweet, very uplifting. I don’t reach for it often but I never regret it when I do.

Sickly sweet, used it during my "hoe" era and it attracts people of all genders, trust me. Very girly very cutesy but strong, can be a bit headache inducing. It smells like if you just walked in a candy shop and everything suddenly started rotting. Its a good scent, although i probably wouldnt repurchase, as its really strong and chemically sweet

so so sweet! lovingg the initial hit of strawberry and the slightly citrus notes. It’s slightly creamy from the coconut and sandalwood. Tiny bit soapy with the mix of floral. I wish it lasted longer, but overall a delicious sweet fruity fragrance. Kind of like a strawberry and raspberry milkshake!

Blind bought based on the notes only, and omg! I freaking love this one. It's so fruity, feminine, complex and attractive. Starts off as a strawberry/apple sorbet, blending in with the soft florals, and then gives way to the addicting coconut base... It's not sweet gourmand imo, but it's delicious. Honestly perfect for all-year-round wear, it has become one of my signature scents! It layers beautifully with other fruity perfumes (like Lataffa's Yara Candy). The projection and longevity are on point, and for the price it's an amazing deal. Bottle is kinda basic, but I like it anyways...

I have already reviewed this, but I want to state that out of my 70+ collection, this is what gets me compliments. I love that it is still available and is affordable. Beautiful creamy scent! If you are looking for a creamy strawberry with a touch of elegance, get this. Overall, one of my favorite scents ever

This smells like a strawberry milkshake. its probably what many expected Yara to smell like. Of course, it’s not as marshmallow-y as Yara, but it’s got a lot more strawberry and is delicious and creamy. Yes, it’s juvenile, but for what it is, it’s very good. I wear it at bedtime sometimes. Sweet, young, very girly.

It’s cheap and smells cheap. Not bad, just not great either and this is the reason I have had it for as long as I have. It’s not cloyingly sweet but it is sweet, there’s something almost peppery in the background, possibly that’s how I smell the grapefruit and its bitterness. Coconut is also very noticeable. It’s your summer, celeb fragrance, exactly what can be expected, likely targeted to the young people. I just never felt like I wanted to wear, it’s a gym, running errands fragrance, not particularly long lasting, which is great as I am on a mission to finish some of my old bottles off. I will use up and forget.

It smells like strawberries with milk, but at the same time a little sour. Sour-sweet candies at first, later it becomes creamier. Unfortunately, the scent disappears within a few minutes and doesn’t last at all. I sprayed about 12 and my husband didn’t even notice I was wearing it. It doesn’t last on clothes either. I won’t buy it again.

Hell. Yes. This smells powdery and strawberry like in the best way! On me, very similar to the EOS Strawberry Dreams lotion and V05 Strawberry Conditioner. Have to retouch throughout the day but I don't mind. This is fabulous! Ten stars!

DUDE THAT SHIT IS ASSSSSS, smells so cheap it gives me a headache. this ain’t no kayali dupe, it’s a blasphemy.

I used to like Katy Perry until the absolute clownery she has been pulling off for the past year. 143 was an atrocious, soulless, AI generated mess of an album, like I genuinely felt insulted when I listened to that album the whole way through. That horrible album, combined with that waste-of-money faux feminist "let's go to space for 11 minutes!" stunt and her working with an abuser, killed any interest I had in her which is unfortunate because I do quite enjoy her older work. That being said, I bought Mad Love off of vinted for €7 about 3 months ago because it was a steal and I didn't wanna give Katy my money. I'm afraid she really killed it with Mad Love. Its a creamy, lactonic coconut and strawberry forward scent and it is just very very pleasant. It's like a strawberry yoghurt topped with whipped cream and coconut shavings. Honestly a great scent for spring and summer and its gotten me quite a few compliments, plus the bottle is really adorable and suits the scent very well. My dislike for Katy herself aside, Mad Love is an impressively good light, creamy, strawberry and coconut gourmand, plus its pretty affordable on resale so I'd recommend giving it a try (just buy it on resale so you don't give Katy your money).

am i the only one that thinks this smells like the dove coconut and jasmine deodorant? not bad tho definitely a summer scent, reminds me of the beach and pina colada. longevity is good as well

Ugly ass bottle, just cheap looking. I don’t like the marble plastic lid and the arrows are just printed onto the pink bottle. The fragrance on the other hand, is sweet and inoffensive. I use it for work (office job), its perfect for that since it fades pretty quickly and doesn’t give my surrounding co-workers a headache. It is very youthful and fruity, my nose picks up the strawberry and coconut the most.

Very sweet and soft smell, with the sliiiightest hint of pencil shavings. Unfortunately it gives me a headache.
