Soleil

This came across as an easy day time reach for me. It has a fresh opening but not a sharp citrus kind of way, more like a creamy citrus to me. It's soft and feminine with this creaminess that feels light and airy. This is so strange but it reminds me of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, which is brighter more citrus feeling and better suited for hotter weather, whereas Lalique Soleil tends to lean creamier and more every day kind of fragrance.

This one smells like happiness, like a Sunday morning breakfast, in a sunny kitchen, drinking orange juice and eating pancakes with maple syrup. It is fresh and citric in the opening, but the base is lactonic, caramel, gourmand. A really happy scent that I find very suited for a weekend day. It makes me feel free and childish. The bottle is also very beautiful and it has a necklace that can be worn.

I don’t smell any coffee, milk, or almonds, i smell maybe some praline, definitely pear, mandarin in the opening and then disappears I reminds me a bit of Chloe Nomade, not that they are dupes but in the level of sweetness and a tiny bit in the smell. They are like distant cousins

Oh, I like this very much. Surprising as I don´t like gourmands and sweet perfumes, but as others have reviewed, this is hardly a gourmand, and I don´t get as much sweetness as expected from the accords to be honest, it´s sweet for sure, but not in a sickly gourmand way. It´s hard for me to describe this, this is so well blended and unique, I have smelled nothing like this before. Glad I got this 2 ml sample for free, as looking at the notes I would have NEVER tried it otherwise. Got a full bottle now as I am building my autumn and winter scent wardrobe, and I have a hard time finding those cozy scents. In cooler spring this is great too. 12 hours later I still smell it, and the day is not over yet, so longevity is great. Edit: the comment below about it smelling like empty dirty cocktail glasses, I totally get it - when it´s hot outside. My past life´s bartender brain got triggered when wearing this in hot weather. The heat made the uplifting bright top notes evaporate faster, and turn the lactonic accords almost sour, so it smelled like a dirty bartenders sink at the end of the day, where all the liquids are poured into: hot chocolate, vanilla whipped cream, coffee, milk, sugar, juices, fruity liquors and amarettos, all mixed into one sweet and sour stinky mess. This perfume SHINES in cold weather, where the bright top notes don´t evaporate so fast, and don´t turn the lactonics sour on your skin. Do yourself and favour and don´t wear this when it´s warm, because it´s truly a beautiful scent.

I have bitter peach tm and this solei vibrant has the same vibe to me. it's not a dupe, but if you like bitter peach, you'll like this too. Of course, the longevity of the aura is not even close, but from 4-6 hours I can feel it on me ... even in the wardrobe up to 12

I initially bought this because I loveee fruity/light gourmands and this seemed perfect. However, I must say this smells a lot greener than i expected? The bitter almond is a little too overpowering for my liking and I don’t really get anything creamy the way I wished. I still think this is a very fresh gourmand scent. Just wish would get the heart or base notes aswell

This is nice but I struggle to say much more about it. It’s kind of musky citrus woods. Pleasant enough. A moderate performer. This fell off my shelf and smashed when it was nearly full. I wasn’t particularly upset and that tells me all I need to know about my attachment to this scent. I won’t be replacing it.

This is my most recent blind buy. I bought it on clearance because I wanted to experiment, and to be honest, I completely fell in love with the bottle design. It’s very beautiful and looks great in my collection. I’m also glad I chose the 30 ml size instead of a larger bottle. As for the scent itself, I have mixed feelings. This perfume is a bit too spicy for my personal taste. I usually don’t gravitate toward spicy or oriental scents, and I think that’s why it doesn’t fully work for me. I don’t hate it, but I didn’t fall in love with it either — even though I really wanted to. According to the notes, it’s supposed to have some citrus elements, but I don’t really smell that. On my skin, it comes across as a very warm, heavy, and spicy scent. It feels clearly suited for autumn and winter and not at all appropriate for spring or summer. For me, it’s definitely on the heavier side. Since I bought it on clearance and didn’t pay full price, I don’t regret this purchase. However, I do think it is overpriced for what it offers, and I wouldn’t buy it at full price. For now, I’ve put it away in a drawer and plan to let it sit for at least two weeks before trying it again. I may update my thoughts after spending more time with it. I wouldn’t repurchase this perfume, but I also won’t let it sit unused forever. I’ll still wear it occasionally during colder seasons, even though it’s not one of my favorites.

The fragrance is too musky to feel cozy and enveloping, yet too fruity to be considered gourmand. It lacks originality and fails to draw compliments or start conversations. I don’t detect any caramel or milk notes that I expected. What comes through instead is mostly musk, sandalwood, and perhaps a subtle touch of jasmine. It has a faintly masculine vibe, feels rather generic, and doesn’t match the elegant bottle at all. I’m glad I have only a 15 ml vial, as a full 100 ml would be too much for me.

I absolutely adore Soleil. Sun in bottle. Sensual, soft, delicate, creamy and lightly almond. Sweet but not overly gourmand; for adult taste. Usually milky scents dont work for me, but this does.

Beautiful fragrance; this is not a dense fragrance on the skin - more of a wafting quality. This is NOT a beast mode fragrance or even strong in terms of sillage or longevity. Once it settles, it's mostly a skin scent and will only be smelled by someone in your intimate bubble. Since I am a power fragrance type of girl, I don't often reach for this because I want EVERYONE to smell me, but it is genuinely one of the more complex fragrances I've smelled that doesn't lean into very niche notes. It smells like a ginger snap cookie to me. It's an elegant fragrance with the cardamom you find in Versace Crystal Noir and the watery quality of Acqua di Gioia. There is a lactonic accord in this scent that lingers in the baseline, but instead of making it super creamy, it maintains the sturdy warmth of the fragrance.

Bright, cozy, and radiant…like a sunlit brunch. Soleil opens with a burst of mandarin, bitter almond, and a whisper of cardamom; zesty and intriguing. The heart unfolds into a gourmand yet airy blend of pear granita, café latte, and soft jasmine. Finally, it settles into a comforting base of pink praline, creamy sandalwood, and musks—warm, elegantly sweet, never overdone. It’s like sipping a latte on a sun-drenched morning, gourmand without feeling cloying. Think pear pastry meets gentle vanilla warmth, with a cozy floral-musk trail that feels soft and inviting.

The opening is citrussy, slightly spicy and sweet, quite delicate. As it dries, I can smell the almond very lightly, the gourmand notes are very light. It is a pretty, feminine and delicate fragrance. It is a skin scent with very little projection but it lasts on my skin a good 8 hours, although as a light skin scent.The bottle is beautiful 🥰☀️🍊🥐

Almond croissant with a caffe latte on the side. A sweet and cheerful breakfast gourmand in a very attractive bottle.

Stinky. Sweet and sour but so cloying and annoying. Smells dirty to me like an empty dirty glass with a residue of sweet coctail.

I wanted to sell it as soon as I bought it ( it was a banal, a little too sharp and bitter) but then I read here in the reviews about its need of maceration. So I waited, placed it in the bottom of a drawer and almost forgot it. After four months it is a really different perfume, sweeter without being an atrocious gourmand and with a pleasant distinct note of almond. I really love it now.

The scent of juicy, ripe pear, slightly added with caramel. Unfortunately, I didn't get coffee, milk or almonds. Nevertheless, Soleil is a very pleasant and sweet fragrance for any time of the year. The longevity is quite good, the sillage is low, but noticeable. For me, it's similar to Sun di Gioia Armani. In short, this scent is about the sun and summer. The bottle is masterpiece!

A touch of fresh, dry cardamom gives the opening a crisp feel while remaining classically feminine and elegant. The overall composition is refined and subtle. Intimate projection. Longevity is delicate, but reapplying is an absolute pleasure. An elegantly delightful creation.

It's simple, light and cheerful perfume.. not very long lasting. 1-2 sprays is enough, if I add more, it feels artificial to me. I like the little bracelet on the bottle neck, every time I spray it makes a beautiful melody on the glass bottle and I feel like I am in a sunny morning dew fruit garden, water drops are falling.. :) It's definitely worth the name "sun". Not regretting.. I love it and even got compliment about it :)

Commenting once more to say: This one NEEDS maceration for you to fully appreciate it! It's very generic, "perfume"-y at first. But after using it a bit, letting air in the (gorgeous) bottle, the coffee and praline notes intensify and make it more gourmand. Yum! It's great for the office and everyday wear. I can't imagine anyone complaining about it. The bracelet is very cute too. It's an awesome blind buy!!

It unfurls a cascade of thick sugared citrus and caramel, a radiant gourmand opening that shimmers with candied brightness—so extremely saccharine it nearly put me off. But the initial intensity speedily softens, poached pears and almond cream emerging, their velvety richness laced with a delicate marzipan-like nuttiness, less cloying not one bit overpowering. And despite its confectionary tendencies, Soleil proves to be much more than a dessert—there’s a certain depth here that steadily moves to the forefront as the fragrance progresses. A fleeting whisper of coffee bitterness, like the frothy crema of a morning latte, subtly grounding the sweetness, where you come to discover that this is not an indulgent treat, no, but the aroma of sugary breakfast cereal soaked in almond milk, fresh-squeezed juice, and the steam of caffeine. Sitting nearby is a vase holding a singular stalk of jasmine, subdued, soft, and nearly translucent, lingering at the periphery and blissfully free from its usual indolic opulence. This is a fragrance of cozy indulgence, airy yet substantial, gourmand-adjacent rather than overtly photorealistic. Unfairly maligned by the below reviews, which I suppose may be due to difference in climate (it's sooo hot and humid here), its soft glow bloomed around a comforting embrace. A fragrant mirage of morning light, breakfast warmth, and quiet joys.

It is sweet, cheerful and old-fashioned in a good way. The kind of a smell I'd wear after finding it in my grandma's or mom's cabinet. I get whiffs of sun lotion, candies, marmalade. I did not catch coffee. I'd enjoy it much more if it wasn't that sugary after drydown. I still appreciate the brightness of it and I'm waiting to try this out during warmer weather.

Wow I really thought this was gonna be beautiful (based on the notes) but it’s sooo boring… The bottle is absolutely gorgeous but the scent is just ”perfume”, if you get what I mean. It doesn’t smell sweet or floral or fruity, it just smells lika a classic perfume. I wouldn’t recommend this fragrance to anyone, unless you’re looking for a pretty bottle for your collection. EDIT: Ok the dry down is quite nice and comforting. Works great for bed! EDIT: Ok NO I don’t like it. Not one bit.

I hope my situation will be the same as @Mashaismary, because I also bought the bottle blindly since I can't test it anywhere and the price was great, but it's fresh and sharp. The batch code indicates that the bottle is 10 months old, so I really hope mine will mature with time too. It's fresh and sharp, but without any of the "fun" elements of that. By "fun" I mean that there isn't anything fruity or juicy behind it, I don't get the mandarin orange, almond or cardamom. It's just sharp. But it doesn't smell like a "generic" sharp or like a men's cologne either. It still smells unique. After it warms up on my skin, it changes a lot - the sweetness starts to come out. But still, no note is distinctive. Same as with the sharpness - lightly sweet without anything that makes the sweetness "fun." No caramel, no coffee, no praline, no milk. It's just lightly sweet. I've had Soleil Vibrant for 2 years, and I've been loving it, so Soleil is a slight disappointment. It's like an unfinished perfume. I will stash it away, and I hope it develops, if nothing else the bottle is stunning.

When I ordered this blindly, as I couldn’t test it anywhere, I was expecting a gourmand fragrance with milky almond praline and tangerine. It wasn’t what I anticipated—it was fresh and sharp. I put it away and forgot about it for two years. Recently, I revisited it and was pleasantly surprised. Now, I get tangerine with a soft undertone, likely from the almond and milk, and a slightly green hint, probably from cardamom. It’s no longer sharp but uplifting and summery. I also recently tested Plume Blanche by Lalique, which reminded me a lot of Soleil. However, Plume Blanche leans more gourmand, with less tangerine and more almond. It’s softer but equally perfect for summer. If you like Soleil but want more almond, give Plume Blanche a try.

Super sweet peach and banana with burned sugar and cough syrup. Initially I sprayed just a bit thinking that that sweetness will suffocate me and the scent disappeared after one hour. Next time I made more than 5 sprays and herbal notes that remind me cough medicine appear. That undertone made the perfume more strict and self-collected. Interesting. Worth to try.

i bought this because the reviews were saying this is a gourmand, sweet caramel almond, salty fragrance. however, when i sprayed this it smelled like cat piss. idk if my bottle was meant to smell like that, but i knew instantly that nobody would want this. i spent $50 and it went straight into the trash. now im thinking that i probably should have put it inside a dark cabinet and wait a few months. DO NOT BLIND BUY. make sure you either sample it, or test it out in the store.

It smells like iron water. Heated. It is the main thread. It also reminds me of hot air. I feel also peaches and something bitter then it is changing to pear and caramel then I feel jasmin and milk. It has a gourmand phase but a rather subtle one that does not last. The scent becomes again just scented air. I so want to love it. I think it is great for everyday wear. No one will be recognizing I am wearing Soleil, if anything at all. I will be just "smelling nice". This is this type of a scent. Also needed. Strength like Lalique's Amour, Living and Reve d'Infini. Subtle.
