I had a small sample of this a few years ago, and it was the best scent I've ever smelled in my life. It's a woody yet safe-feeling perfume; woody but not intensely heavy or masculine. The rose scent isn't overpowering. The elegance and creaminess of cashmere are perfectly balanced. I wish I could own this perfume, but it's both very expensive And production has stopped all over the world; I don't know why they stopped producing something so beautiful.
The best perfume Lancome has ever created. Wish they would bring it back! So strong and so pretty, i have genuinely never smelled a better floral! I can't even describe how good it is!
I love the sweet and slightly jammy rose that unfolds shortly after spraying, which is definitely my favorite stage of Idôle L‘Intense. Soon after, the rose gets increasingly dominated by woody and musky accords. The DNA of the original Idôle is still recognizable in the background thanks to the rose that peeks through from time to time, and the strong musk. After several hours, the rose is completely gone and I mostly get patchouli and musk on my clothes. I consider this an easy-reach fragrance that makes you smell put-together, but without really making a statement because you will smell not unlike the perfume section in a department store, which is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on what you aim for.
O.k to like. In the spring it is pretty, deeper than the edp which makes it interesting but despite it so lightweight I barely feel it around. Acacia with a few rose petals and musk. It is so subtle but the wafts I catch are very elegant. But the performance is lesser than the edp. Irritating. The strongest Idole so far is Power version.
The fragrance is pleasant, but there’s an ambiguous note that I can’t quite place. It’s a bit sharp and sour, which slightly overshadows the otherwise lovely scent.
I’d love to find a similar woody fragrance if anyone has any suggestions. This has been discontinued and although I love the original the wood addition makes this more to my taste. Thanks
cedar... amber? for some reason, a musky amber-like quality really stands out after I spray this on my skin. the sandalwood here is mild, but very savoury, and the rose-chouli combo is pleasant and non-cloying (staring at you, Jil Sander Sunset). I only get jasmine after about 30 minutes. very classy and clean. what I'd imagine a successful female lawyer to smell like.
I’m not on who usually likes woody fragrances but this like the more sophisticated and classy version of the regular idole. The patchouli notes isn’t as prominent in this fragrance which i think works better. I don’t love that bitter orange note though, its way to loud, but they dry down is really nice. It’s very inoffensive, perfect for those spring and fall days in the office
This is how I wanted the original to be, woodier, floral focused without sweetness and with a soft vanilla/patchouli base. More projection and more sillage than the original, which is great if you like heavy fragrances, perfect for autumn and winter! Very elegant and easy to wear for any occasion, work or dinner, day and night. It's discontinued, but I still have a sealed bottle if someone is interested
I smelt this on a worker at priceline. I asked her if she was wearing Amouage Guidance, when she told me it was this. This smells very much like Guidance. Not sure if anyone else agrees.
It was a blind buy but not happy with it it smells a strong woody fruity rose
I love this perfume 10/10 perfectly captures me and who I am. I feel like myself in this, like my happiest most sensual self. Love, love LOVE it from beginning to end, snatched a bottle from fragrancex.com, yes it’s a legit bottle. Sadly discontinued but best flanker IMO. I could wear this any season but for respect of others I refrain from it in the summer and dense weather.
I bought this because my Sister in law was wearing the original one and I loved it. I was still quite new to perfume when I bought it and I was thinking Intense just made it stronger, instead its a slightly different scent. I perfer the original over the L'intense. Also the bottle is a PAIN its so skinny and tall that it was constantly falling over 🙃
I finally bought a 25ml. I own no others and it’s a departure from my norm. Clean, crisp and almost starched yet never soapy, with a nicely brisk finish that feels like opening the house up in winter and greeting that cool fresh air before settling back to warmth as you close the windows and doors. The impression of a freshly pressed shirt. Dewy rose petals on a polished wooden table in the library. Refined, elegant, lightly sweet and oddly energy inducing. One I wear casually when I need to get things done and still feel my best grown up self.
Simply put...I love this. One of my favorites from this line. Amazing projection and lasting power.
Smells a bit like dubai perfumes , nice not really my vibe
if you're lamenting L'intense, try Idôle Power. there's a strong similarity.
So apparently this perfume got discontinued and now I am sad... This is my first perfume that I bought and is still one of my favourites. Especially the dry-down I love it so so so much. It's soft, floraly with a hint of sweetness. Guess I have to look for something similar since i have probabky like ~3ml left or something 🥲
This is so lovely, beautiful and very unique. Sometimes unique can come off as weird and often times challenging to wear. To me this feels rich and elegant. Not as sweet as the original. Blended beautifully. The top notes are fresh and the rose and jasmine are lovely but the dry down…Ohhhhhh the dry down!! Sighhhh!!!! It’s the best!!! This reminds me of what a gorgeous cashmere scarf would smell like if cashmere had a scent. Beautiful day and night and in any weather. This has everything I love. I will be buying back up bottles to cherish. Lancome!! Whyyyyy!!!! Bring her back!!
Beautiful fragrance. I’m sad it’s been discontinued. It’s very similar to original and Now, something in between with added mandarin and orange bitter notes. So it’s not as sweet as NOW and it’s more unique than original, in my opinion. It’s also very long lasting and projects pretty well. I have received compliments from friends while wearing this, so other people can definitely smell it. It’s perfect for daily use and could be a great signature scent, good for all seasons.
This is the exact smell i get when i pass the duty free shops at the airport, im guessing cause of how popular is. Not unique, used by everyone, mainstream scent. But a good blind buy, it smells elegant and pretty. Great projection.
Love this scent so so sooo much, it reminds me of my younger days because I think my mom used to have some laundry softener that had a similar scent. Too bad they've discontinued this. I bought one large bottle and one small just in case when it was still available, but if anyone wants to get their hands on it I can give one 25ml for a reasonable price. The scent is pleasantly strong and lasts for a good amount of time, so you really don't need much, and I'm nowhere near emptying the 100ml bottle.
This scent is heavenly. I have been a chypre girly through and through, and this has got to be my favorite scent. It has a citrusy opening with a delicate dry down of cashmere wood, patchouli, and sandalwood—my go-to base notes. It's hard to find a unique composition with beast mode longevity like this and recently I'm already running low on my 5th bottle. Upon checking, lancome just sells 50 mLs. Does anyone know if they are slowly discontinuing this flanker? This one is my favorite in their idole line and I feel like they're slowly getting rid of their stocks by only selling the 50 mLs. Also, if it is true that they're discontinuing, someone please recommend me a similar scent. Response are greatly appreciated
Pleasant, feminine, delicate and elegant floral scent. Smells clean and fresh. Keeping the OG’s DNA, it’s versatile and lasts long enough. Safe blind buy.
It's really beautiful. I have one extra back up bottle that I'm willing to let go. DM me if you are interested. It's 75 ml. I can send to Romania, Chech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary through Packeta.
100% Woman. My God gorgeous scent. Please never discontinue it. Smells so elegant sweet lipstick-y but in a sophisticated way. Congrats Lancome did not expect this. I like the original as well but this one has such an amazing vibe. Sexy but classy. The rose is not overwhelming its blended beautifully. Big love.
This is my scent, I use it EVERYDAY one time a guy stopped me in the middle of a set of stairs to ask me which perfume I was wearing because it reminded him of a perfumerie in Florence and wanted it to gift it to his gf... Is my favorite perfume ever... it goes great with my ph and I get a ton of compliments.
when I first bought this flanker, more from a desire to own the complete Idôle range than any particular interest, I was disappointed. I thought losing the sharp freshness and dewiness of the OG and replacing it with vanilla took the Idole DNA from unique to just.. nice. another run of the mill warm, woody floral. however, after trying it again in the dead of winter, I was enveloped in a warm, cozy orange scent, which complemented the rose note beautifully. it still doesn’t beat the OG or Nectar for me, but I’m pleasantly surprised and happy to have it in my collection.
I really don't know how else to describe this other than warm roses. It's not too sweet, thus this way the rose notes stand out more. However the rose notes aren't like traditional rose scents, but rather a more amplified version. I don't understand the top "woody" tones described here as I don't quite smell it, however it is indeed a darker and more thick perfume compared to the original Idole. This is a very distinctive scent, and I hate that it is discontinued.
I upgraded this from a Like to a Love, even though I probably won't purchase L'Intense in full-bottle form once I run through my travel sprayer, which is about halfway depleted. Idôle L'Intense reminds me more of a less brambly Perles de Lalique or a less camphorous-medicinal Elizabeth + James Nirvana Rose. It's more office wearable than either, by some order of magnitude, although it should be sprayed in moderation. This smells like it could give a susceptible person a headache, and I wouldn't be surprised if it contains Iso E super. It's also a teensy bit like one of fhe Estee Lauder Luxury Line offerings, the name of which I cannot be bothered to look up even though I have a travel vial of it in my desk drawer. At any rate, Idôle L'Intense is a dark, jammy, Middle Eastern-inflected rose on a dark woody base. The comparison to Chanel Paris-Paris is apt, although I'd say this is ever so slightly rosier, with a more chocolatey patchouli reminiscent of La Nuit Trésor à la Folie or Mohra Silky Rose. Recommended if you don't already have most of the aforementioned roses in your collection. I think it is a better bargain than the Chanel for sure, but I read somewhere that L'Intense is discontinued. Figures, since it's much more interesting than most of the other Idôle flankers and is more distinctive than Idôle.
