A Girl In Capri

This fragrance was launched right before I went on a trip to Italy, and at this price point, it was a no-brainer to throw it into my suitcase. Ever since, it has reminded me of those carefree, hot days along the Amalfi Coast, ice cream served in lemons, and skin warmed by the sun. It's a beautiful, girly citrus scent, a younger cousin to the Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo line. It doesn't quite match it in terms of sophistication or longevity, but it's not even trying to. Instead, it smells like the very best version of a youthful perfume. It's the fragrance you reach for when you want to freshen up after a long day at the beach, or the bottle you keep in your purse after an early morning flight, knowing your next hotel check-in isn't until the afternoon.

I got this as my first fragrance I chose with a fragrance subscription. It's a disappointing fragrance to me. It's nice, but just way too light, and doesn't project at all or last unless you put your nose directly on the spot you sprayed. Three hours later, it's barely there. I have stronger body mists than this.

So I love this scent a lot! It's fresh, sweet and easy to wear if you're looking for a citrusy sodesque perfume to spray as you see fit. My only real issues are that it has very poor last powering, and that it lacks any real progression in the drydown. It also does smell quite a bit like Moschino Funny with less going on, but I knew it was likely when it sits as the most similair scent listed.

I came across this scent multiple times while shopping online but never was drawn to it. Saw a lot of positive reviews and ordered it still with no expectations. I'm SO pleasantly surprised! This is beautiful. Citrus in the opening but along with a lot of sweetness and airiness. Such a pretty everyday scent. the dry down is gorgeous too- a sweet musk. I have SO many perfumes and this one surprisingly does not smell like anything I already own in spite of having an overall sort of generic scent! I loveee

A Girl in Capri is a bright, cheerful scent that captures the feeling of summer by the sea. It opens with fresh Italian lemon and bergamot, then softens into light grapefruit blossom and a hint of ocean breeze. The base of white musk and driftwood adds a clean, gentle warmth. It feels carefree, sunny, and elegant without being overpowering. Although it doesn’t last very long, it’s perfect for daytime wear or whenever you want a touch of sunshine in your day.

This fragrance has the best incorporation of the marine note as you get a beach feeling but no weird musty or stale smells, instead it is a really delicious and refreshing lemon, the flowers are subtle, not harsh, just giving a nice zing. I can also smell the driftwood up close which I never thought would be a note I would find nostalgic but it really does remind me of my childhood and how actually nice dried driftwood smells on a hot beach. Amazing that fragrances can make you realize this. There is also a subtle sweetness which makes it more feminine but not so much to make it too sweet or cloying, could even be unisex for a guy who enjoys sweeter citruses. As the citruses fade, but still linger in the background, with time the fragrance gets sweeter and muskier and reminds me of a nice warm sunset by the beach - with the sharp smell of drying driftwood, salty sea wind and wet sand penetrating your nose as you enjoy the sound of waves and how the warm red rays touch your skin. My conclusion that this is a great reminder of beach feels, sunsets and in general an enjoyable and safe summer scent!

I love a lemon 🍋 scent and I’ve been to Capri a few times! This encapsulates the essence of Capri very well! Citrus, bright, casual, yet distinctly elegant! It is a great scent for summer meals al fresco, or casual seaside days, sipping some limoncello! It’s an easy reach, but slip it in your handbag, the longevity isn’t that great, but worth it for the price!

I love this one (at least certain aspects of it). It’s a lemon fragrance that is not screechy or leans cleaning product. To me it actually smells like a photorealistic lemon. I love the bottle; it’s one of my favourites in my collection. Unfortunately, there’s a lingering cumin note for me. I know it has no cumin in the pyramid, but I’ve been smelling it since I purchased this bottle a year ago. I would even spray it from time to time and I’ve let the fragrance macerate, but the cumin note remains. It must be the lemon mixing with the driftwood…anyway it smells like BO on my skin. So sad. This could have been my “happiness in a bottle” and summer go-to.

A soda-lemony, young and aquatic-fresh summer fragrance that puts you in a happy place. Nothing completely new but a nice and balanced addition to the perfume range for sunny days.

Hmm, it’s a little weird how different people have completely different experiences with this fragrance, but here are my takes on it: First of all, imo this is not a photorealistic lemon smell for sure. It lacks the freshness, brightness and crispiness I was expecting from a “freshly-cut lemon” smell. The lemon in this smells dry. Second of all, I can smell quite well the marine and woodsy notes from the pyramid. And the wood notes smell soaked in sea water (from the marine notes), so it’s quite peculiar I would say. The fragrance itself is ok, not bad, it actually grows on me the more I use it. From the first spray I was a little disappointed because I was expecting a true lemon smell, but this is much sweeter than I thought and the base gets even sweeter than the opening. That being said, it smells really nice on cotton fabrics and surprisingly, it had quite a good staying power on me for a citrus frag (I could smell it on me for at least 3 hours, oversprayed). Doesn’t have the best projection though. Overall: 8.5/10 -> it’s a nice addition to my collection, that I will gladly use.

Very cheap smelling, artificial lemon. It's cheap enough that I don't mind using it as bathroom air freshener, but I have cheaper citrus fragrances smelling way better - I expected more from Lanvin. The "reminds me of" votes led me to blind buy, but I don't get the similarities to any of them.

Blind buy for a good price , I loved Éclat d’Arpège so I had high expectations for A Girl in Capri . It’s ok . Just ok. Not really interesting. It smells lemon and it’s very light, really poor longevity.

LEMON 🍋🍋🍋🍋 All I smell is lemon. I don't pick up any of the other notes This sounded promising because I love pink pepper, also driftwood and ocean water. I was so sure I was going to like this,but I don't. I like the heavy bottle with the pink writing,along with the weighty cap. Being a bit too sure of myself I did a blind buy. But,this is not for me.

This is a love at first sniff. Light, comforting citrus scent with a cozy musky amber base. Honestly A Girl In Capri is quite similar to Light Blue but the salty sea note gives it a beautiful twist, making it more rounded and unique. Good quality solid glass bottle and heavy cap, which is another plus. I love this perfume, just wishing that it has better projection and lasts longer but I am happy with what I get. Update: This actually has pretty good longevity, the citrus blast does not stay forever ofc but the rest, especially the sea note, lasts for a very long time.

Very light and soft citrus scent with no longevity, not even on clothes. The scent itself is very refreshing and truly citrus. I don’t get any musk or amber but I don’t mind it in this particular perfume. Nice for a warm spring or summer day. Safe blind buy if you like fresh citrus scents.

This fragrance smells so good!! I love it! However it has no lasting power. If it did it would be an all time favorite.

I think this is a really pleasant citrus scent, where the grapefruit really shines. I'm not so fond of citrus perfumes as a whole, because I find them so short lived. This is no exception, the scent disappears quite quickly, but it is pleasant. It reminds me of the 'Pink Grapefruit' range from the Body Shop.

The opening smells cheap to me. More cleaning product lemon than luxurious lemon. After 5 to 10 minutes the grapefruit comes through and it improves, but overall, the scent feels thin and reedy, not luxurious. Eau de Patou and Travertine’s Fougère d'Antibes are better versions of this concept. The bottle is lovely! Nice heft and a quality cap. The bottle is much more luxe than the juice inside.

Smells like adolescence in a good way. Citruisy, lemony, creamy and light. You just want to continue to smell it. Would also recommend as a gift.

I LOVE the fresh citrusy opening, its really energising, i really want to wear it all sumer. But it doesn't last very much, and what is the real problem here - the musk here is kinda strong and with my body chemistry it tends to get quite "pissy", or like that old people (with bad hygiene) apartments :( :( :(

The white floral citrus combo I can tolerate. Not too unique, but at least I can stand wearing it. It's going to be my easy reach for sweltering summer months. Hope it keeps that fresh, light aroma.

A nice white musk! But not very citrus. Mostly musk. I wear it all the time though.

I wanted to love this one, but the musk is too strong. It cancels out a lot of the freshness and dulls the lemon citrus scent. This is not a sweet lemonade perfume, it's slightly citrus heavy on the musk and quite powdery.

I thought it would have stronger citrus notes, the lemon is quite faint to me. The notes all meld together and none stand out. Good for layering.

Refreshing, bright citrus with white flowers. Airy, light. Short life, but for that price, I don't mind having to spray it again.
