Eclat d’Arpège

This is the exact perfume my mom wore when I was a kid. Evokes beautiful memories. I was happily surprised they still make it, bought it that same second I saw it. Highly feminine, floral, and so charming. This is how I imagine an angel would smell like.

It's a beautiful soft floral musky green perfume, i got it a blind buy knowing I'll love it and I did. But here's the thing, it doesn't last long and it fades away quickly and has a weak sillage. It's perfect for wearing before bed, kinda soothing but I wouldn't wear it when I'm out since it's won't smell out of me at all. I'd rate it 7/10 due poor longevity but as a juice it's 8/10 . Maybe with maceration it'll get a bit better but I don't recommend it since it won't last long due multiple spraying.

Being that the original Arpege is my all time favorite scent, I purchased the Eclat with good expectations based on the reviews here. You did not steer me wrong; it is a lovely scent and makes me think of ballerinas in pink tutus and butterflies dancing about in the garden. Its demurely charming and is a safe wear for the shy girl. It is what I'm wearing to go to the doctor today because...I do not want to make so much noise. I'm however glad that I purchased a small bottle because I don't see myself reaching for her very often.

When I was an actress doing a gig with some friends in Hollywood, my homegirl was wearing this and it was intoxicatingly alluring…such a sexy fragrance, I had to have it. I love this scent!! Someone describes it as fairytale like and I can’t help but feel like an enchantress wearing this.. a soft musk. She’s beautiful

An easy, pleasing, very 2000's generic department store fragrance. Light, delicate, feminine, heavily blossom-floral, with that 90s/2000s layering that you've likely smelled 100 times already. It's extremely safe and feminine and pretty. Smells like how you would imagine a Kinkade painting to smell. I do love that the perfume liquid is purple, though. The whole thing is extremely "pretty" but a little generic.

Love and memories. This is such a nice parfume, tea and lilac and a lot of blossoms. I love it so long and I still will be. The bottle is very cute. I cannot count how many times I bought this parfume, maybe ten times? I do not know why, but when I smell it reminds me Ikea shop (maybe some same scent of air freshener but pleasant). The longevity, my opinion, is better in cold months. But I like it during spring and summer for light and fresh feeling (and I like re-applicate it often). The price is very friendly, in tester variant great.

"Borrowed" this one from my girlfriend the last time I visited her. A fake (but convincing) lilac bouquet, tacky as bedroom decor, but weirdly charming as a half-hearted addition to a work "Party" in a meeting room. Hits like fluorescent lights, alcohol-y and static. I found the musky drydown flat but there's a sweet spot (literally) somewhere in there that makes me feel pretty and perceivable, like a moment of genuine laughter amidst pleasant smalltalk. Most alive Directly after a shower, it compliments my low-fragrance body wash well. Still, it's certainly not an intimate wear, nor does it project what I wish to project as a day-to-day work-friendly wear, but I would enjoy a conversation with the coworker wearing this. Smells like D&G Light Blue. I don't like that one and i don't like this one either. Bitter citrus smell. It's just meh.

I can't get away from this fragrance. Beleive me I have tried lol. I just come back to it again and again because it is so... let's say "friendly", easy going, subtle and non-headache and nausea inducing. It is definitely a wear to work fragrance. It won't bother your allergie prone co-workers and give respiratory distress to your patients (if you are a dental hygienist, nurse, Md, etc). It is ancien in perfum years (born in 2002), but still very relevant. You can layer it to shake things up a bit, and it is affordable. It is you fairy godmother of a perfum. There are some dupe outhere, but funny thing is, they are more expensive than the real thing. You can check "Azzaro Mademoiselle"" which is a "copie conforme". Light Blue (2001) from D&G is her big sister: they love each other and go hand in hand to the beach everyday. I definitely recommend it. Oh, I know few will follow: like I said, it is an old school scent. It is not sweet per se, but light and refreshing in a sea of sickening vanilla, caramel sweatness. Don't get me wrong, I love me some sweet fragrance too! I am just saying, Éclat d'Arpege is not that. Anyway, I recommend it and hope they never stop making it.

Absolutely beautiful! This is the most heavenly scent I have ever smelled or owned. On me, it's like honeysuckle with a touch of soft musk. It is ethereal and angelic.

This is insane popular in China so I bought it to see how it smelled. I just get a blast of green, peony, then fades to musk. I can't smell the lilac at all and they are my favorite flowers 😭 contrary to the "big sister" scent described on xiaohongshu, I think it's more of a younger sister scent (around 18-19ish?). Twentysome years old women might find this a bit childish, or at least I think so (I'm 20).

I blind bought this ages ago. First I didn't like it so much but now it's perfect for spring time. It's light, fresh and floral and smells really "light purple". I layer this with Burberry Goddess and in my skin this combo creates quite long lasting vanilla-lilac

I absolutely love this fragrance! I'm usually a gourmand girly, but I wanted something fresh, clean and a tiny bit more elegant (in a youthful way, not in a "classy lady" kind of way lol) for when I'm wearing a floral dress in the spring/summer, and this has been my go to for those occasions this spring. It has a distinctly clean, "purple" vibe to it, so I couldn't see myself wearing this with any colours other than slightly cooler shades of blues, purples and white. (Yes, I'm one of those people who colour code their perfumes to their clothes haha). Even though I think it's better suited to a cooler colour pallet, I wouldn't call this a "cold" fragrance.... the amber gives it some warmth in the dry down - imagine the sun coming out in the early morning and warming up the dew on the flowers - it's warm, but there's a cool breeze, if that makes sense..... I definitely notice the cedar in the dry down, but thankfully it's not sharp at all and works well with the flowers, tea and musk. I noticed a couple of reviews saying they don't get any lilac from this fragrance - I personally get a lot of it, from the opening to the dry down. Perhaps the fact that I only ever spray perfume on my clothes and not on my skin makes the difference.

It’s an amazing scent. Floral, green, and fresh. Perfect for rainy spring days. It smells so natural, like lilac flowers in the rain. Super lovely and pleasant. Not groundbreaking at all, but very elegant in its simplicity. When I bought it in winter, it felt too watery, almost non-existent, a bit flat and quite quiet. I was a little disappointed. But in spring, it really came to life, and now I can fully appreciate its beauty. For me it's a quite green rainy-cold fresh lilac watercolour scent. I haven’t worn it in summer yet, but it’s definitely a perfect choice for spring.

A pretty princess fragrance. Beautiful purple florals, overall simple & youthful scent. Would not buy this except as a gift for a young teen or maybe someone who likes very subtle scents. Doesn't last very long and projection is even worse. Really very lovely though, and def cheap enough to reapply during the day.

The initial scent of the perfume in bottle is a beauty. She is delicate and emanates the smell of fresh laundry on a sunny day. Upon grazing skin most of the allure is maintained, but over time I found she lacked substance. She smelt clean - and that was it. I find it difficult to describe, but on my skin all the notes blended into one uniform scent with seemingly no depth that can be observed in other perfumes. She was also very fragile, lasting little less than 2 hours on my skin. However, I bet somebody with a decided body chemistry could reveal the magnificence of the notes which was unfortunately hidden from me. For the price and elegant packaging, I believe it would still be worth picking up for the first time.

It's an intoxicating smell once it interacts with my skin but it has no longevity. I love how the different floral notes interact with each other because it makes for a very layered experience of the notes of this fragrance. I wish the Lilac and Peony notes lasted longer. I don't know why with my skin it smells a tad sour in the dry down and gives off a slight darker berry note (almost like the scent of blueberries). I don't think I'll buy the bigger bottle for that reason but I will definitely layer this with something else when I wear it. I'm more interested in Modern Princess and Éclat De Nuit anyway.

I received this yesterday in the mail, after seeing it on sale via Rue La La. I'd worn it maybe 10 years or more before, and the small bottle I have has already "turned"; I keep some perfumes for purely nostalgic reasons. I couldn't remember what it used to smell like, since it'd been a while since I last wore it, but as soon as I sprayed it, old memories came flooding back, and I remembered why I loved it so much. I'm not one to recognize this note or that, but I know what I like, and I'm so glad that I was able to get the large EDP size for such a great price. The longevity is absolutely there, as I wore it to bed last night and can still smell it 10+ hrs. later. This is, like someone else commented previously, an everyday scent, and I mean a daytime scent. This is a safe office scent, not a beast that turns heads. I can see colleagues and close friends calling this someone's "signature". This is the perfect time of year to wear this: not too hot yet. It brings to mind walks in the park, laughing in the sunshine. A happy, comforting scent.

This is a soft fresh fruity floral perfume that does not smell gourmand. It’s quite on the green side. It’s mature, elegant, and sophisticated. The perfume is long lasting without being egregious

I can definitely smell a resemblance to Light Blue, but I like this one better.
