I liked the scent, but unfortunately, the mango note transforms Ganymede’s sterile, futuristic and metallic character into a much more pleasant, fruity profile. In my opinion, this somewhat contradicts the original idea behind Ganymede. It still reminds me of Ganymede in the mid and base notes, but the juicy, fruity mango dominates the composition. If you want a more joyful, fruity take on Ganymede for some reason, you might enjoy Masa. Personally, though, I think the mango takes away from what makes Ganymede so distinctive in the first place. 85/100

Sleek, sterile, futuristic 🛸 beautifully abstract. Metal bar resting on a suede, the mango sings at first, then it whispers. 🔧🥭 This quickly became a favorite in my collection 🩶, it tingles my nose and makes me salivate without being edible, far from it in fact, I can't stop going back to it.

yes, metallic mango and i love wearing it with a mango/fruits body moisturizers. the dry down is calming to me;-)

just got hands on this. first spray gives only mango. and it is metallic mango. the dna is said to be as in ganymed. I did not have the original but I had bois imperial that is with the same dna, and in the drydown it is close to bois imperial but with more flower scent and it is more sweet. I did not get any ginger. I will give Masa to stay for a month and come back with updates. For now I do not like only metallic mango in the opening. but after 30 minutes, it is coming more pleasant. 27.09.2026 05.10.2026 after testing it I can say that the fruity mango scent in the opening is somehting that is not what I would prefer. it is ok, but not that pleasant. and it is gone after 15 to 30 minutes. then the drydown is very pleasant and I feel bois imperial a lot. I will let it to stay for couple manthes and then try again if the opening will be much smoother. but for now everything except opening is great.

This is quite nice and a little bit different. The opening is very fruity with a strong mango note mixed with fragrant spices. The suede is listed as a base note but I can smell it almost immediately - a smooth, soft, gentle rendition of leather. Not a harsh animalic leather but something very smooth like finely processed suede. The flowery notes in the mid help to tame the leather and keep it polite and well-mannered. As the fragrance dries down, I get a slight metallic tinge laid over the spicy mango and soft leather. I think this would work well in every season apart from the freezing cold of winter. It's a big plus for me as a leather fragrance you can wear in the summer without smelling like an extra from Village People's YMCA video shoot thanks to the fruity, flowery and mineralic notes. Very good longevity (circa 6 - 8hrs) with moderate projection. Great for work, casual outings and moments where you want to smell a little bit different. Good job by Lattafa.

It dries down similar to CDNIM Untold. but 1/3rd intensity. All looks and no bang. It's another disappointing fail from Lattafa that I'd. b selling as decants.

It's a mango suede perfume. And there's a nuance of a cheap leather jacket. This is NOT even similar to Ganymede.

Lattafa masa is one of the few mature mango scents on the market I've smelled, I find it to be similar to the Terre d'hermes DNA but with mango instead of citrus.

This is a difficult one to describe. At first I wasn't even sure what I was smelling. In the air I get ginger, citrus and pink pepper over a soft suede-like base. It smells clean, fresh and slightly mineralic. I honestly wouldn't have called this a mango fragrance at first. But after a while the mango starts to come through. Now it feels more like a mineral mango with suede underneath, giving it a soft, smooth base. It's very different from the other mango fragrances I've tried. It feels clean, airy and a little mysterious. I'd call it a mineral mango with a soft suede base rather than a fruity mango, and I think that's what makes it interesting. The more I wear it, the more it grows on me. In the air it smells fresh, elegant and surprisingly easy to wear.

This is a disaster in a bottle, super synthetic, screechy, very unbalanced. It's has a terrible opening that's overly spicy and clashes against the minerality and fresh notes. I couldn't even wait for the drydown with this one and had to get rid of it quickly! Lattafa released a much better take on Gaynamede called Khanjar under their Niche Emerati line that completely blows Masa away and smells nearly identical to Gaynamede after the opening moments, which are ironically better than Gaynamede (I own both Gaynamede and Khanjar). Khanjar also has stellar performance. Don't buy this, get Khanjar or Le Sel D'issey EDT, which is relatively cheap now, was also made by Quentin Bisch, and has extremely similar DNA to Gaynamede but is fresher.

…to be honest - I take back what I said in previous comment. It’s been a month since I bought it, and now it obviously has moderate longevity with moderate sillage - so, it just has to be macerated a month and a half to reach full performance. Now I fully satisfied with it :)

Before purchasing, I checked the technical specifications on this site and expected to get good longevity and sillage (I have Khamrah from the same price category and it performs very good) - but was disappointed: it barely lasts couple of hours and sillage is between "intimate" and "moderate". At first, I thought I just had a bad batch, so I decided to go to another store and check it there - and it was completely the same. Have to do 4-5 sprays and reapply it (also 4-5 sprays) after 2 hours in order to make it noticeable for myself. Overall, the composition is quite linear but the performance is sucks... Anyway, got it with a discount - so have to pay $25 for the 100ml

I simply love it! It is not for everyone but has something mystique. One of the best fragrances I have added to my collection recently.

This is flower power plus Mineral. It has a slight coca cola smell to it, personally not a fan. The flowers gives it that grandma perfume smell. Definitely needed more mango to balance it out. 5/10. Leans more feminine.

Not a big fan of this, opens up with mango which was good for second.. then a funky note comes out of nowhere I'm guessing something to do with the suede or mineral note, then it dries down to a mineralic suede which isn't bad just not my type of fragrance, I was really hoping for more mango note(my favorite fruit).

An absolute love at first spritz, and I will certainly repurchase! This fragrance is well-blended, offering sophisticated and mature tropical vibes. 🖤 Although it contains a metallic note, the perfume does not register as "cool" on my skin. I've had this perfume for a couple of months, and I loved it immediately. Though wearing it didn't click for me during the winter season. The juicy mango and ginger, slightly milky osmanthus, warm spiciness, and soft suede in the background provide a perfect combination with the cooler notes, making this ideal for sunny and even slightly warmer days.

Did I get a bad bottle???? It came in a box, wrapped in plastic... from a reputable online site.... This is the most horrific thing I have ever, EVER smelt!!!! Disgusting... revolting.... the English language is failing to help me explain how horrendous this stuff is. The smell is so torturous that I actually find it mentally disturbing.... traumatising! I have taken a shower and put my clothes in the wash. I have put the bottle in the bin. I have NEVER had a reaction to a fragrance, like this before. And I consider my sense of smell to be very average/normal - I seem to mostly agree with mass sentiment and reviews. How to describe this stench: If you warmed up a pot of thick blood... that sharp, raw, rich, salty, metallic smell... that makes you want to gag. Add to it, the smell of electrical burning, with an icy, raw metal background The mineral/metallic smell is so harsh and sharp.... it hits you like when you smell a gas leak, or nail varnish... (and I usually like these smells) but this does it in a bad, VERY BAD way. It feels like you are inhaling a toxin. For this to have 3.88 rating.... I must have received a bad batch... or for the first time ever, my sense of smell is drastically different to others.... but I just CANNOT believe that. Think I will dig the bottle out of the bin, and ask others to smell it tomorrow.... just to do a sanity check.

I know i wrote a review but for those in the western hemisphere have you tried the candies these tamarindo hard candies with chili on it thats what im getting from this that mango and saffron coming strong very suede like as well i live this stuff if only they can make a I SAID IF ONLY THEY CAN MAKE A PASSION FRUIT version of Ganymede that would be cool

Hideous!!! I do not even know what I’m smelling. Maybe leather with a weird and awful smell of God knows what.

If I had money I would go with Gany hands down, (Gany is beautiful well blended, lasts longer on me) Masa is not bad they have similar dna but not quite same side by side. Masa is kind of fruitier, rougher, less smooth and a hair more musculine than gany. Edit: performance on masa is absolute kaka, after spraying gany and masa on different hands I can't barely detect masa while i get strong pleasant scent where gany is. Will have to save some coin to get real deal. Masa doesn't hold a candle to Ganymede, sorry not sorry.

@brwarren83 your nose is broken man, 0 comparison, only first 3 minutes, after that this perfume becomes purely tropical and sweet similar to how vulcan fue is

Comparing Masa & Ganymede side by side: Almost identical in the opening. The OG is stronger. They both have this “funk” to them in the late opening mid. It’s not for everyone. The OG’s funk is less noticeable. Closer to the OG in the dry-down. A “decent” alternative to Ganymede but just doesn’t hit the mark as being a “great” alternative. Masa smells of quality but Ganymede’s heightened quality really shines in the mid. Keep in mind I am not a picky niche snob and find that most dupes are good enough for me. I will also note that the fragrance notes are not the same, so a difference in smell could be expected. Final verdict: I would suggest sampling Ganymede first to see if you even like the DNA. If you really like it and would make it a signature scent or a fragrance you wear a lot, I would buy the OG. If you’re like me and have 25 fragrances or more and don’t want to spend whatever the OG costs, Masa may scratch the itch.

Smells like BO…

At the opening and a bit in the middle you can see similarities to ganymede ( i have a decant of it ) But its still not very close it will continue drifting away from it as time goes on . Its still a nice unisex perfume , very fruity and tropical, reminds me of Vulcan feu in the mid or drydown ( probably the mango ) But if you are looking for a ganymede clone, this is not it at all, it could just "remind you of" ganymede , but that's it For a more accurate ganymede clone, I would suggest going for maison alhambra minerale, I was blown away by how close it is, you have to smell them side by side repeatedly if you want to have a chance of finding the difference

It’s about 90% similar to ganymede. i don’t get this supposed mango note. maybe it is slightly sweeter though than og. it’s less crisp air feeling and less suitable for rain or caves. it’s not bad but i’d rather pay the full cost of ganymede

The mango overpowers all the metallicity.

Masa by Lattafa is an absolute delight to wear, start to finish. It’s elegant & mysterious and blends very nicely on my skin. I’m almost through my 20 ml bottle I bought along with Khalid and Raw Human earlier this year. I love all three once they matured. Masa blends beautifully with Gray Ash by Maison Alhambra which has a gorgeous rose scent but doesn’t overwhelm Masa at all. Such an amazing niche quality pairing of fragrances and the dry down… it’s truly everything you’d want it to be. Masa is truly niche quality fragrance without the Niche price tag. March 2026– I purchased the sizzling beautiful bottle of Masa over the Holidays last year. It’s so beautiful and the bottle is absolute Luxe. It’s a rich and versatile fragrance. Wear it with a layering scent or sans anything that might interrupt its beauty. It’s versatile, affordable and a huge win for my olfactory pleasure!

Ohkay... where to begin? 1. A spot-on Ganymede clone (yes I own Ganymede). In certain ways sweeter, a bit more metallic for the better, and lasts longer. 2. Mango and all the associated sweetness overpowers for the first 30 mins. Dry down is gentler and reveals the mineral notes. All the stuff mentioned under "middle notes" seem non-existent. 3. One of the few truly eternal-longevity fragrances I have come across in my life. Smell will stay with you after you take a shower and / or wash your clothes. It will probably stay until you die of old age. I suggest a skin transplant if you really need to get it off. 4. Spray with caution. Over-spraying will result in a headache for you and those around you. Not a good idea if you're expecting to make love with your partner. She'll probably say "I have a headache" and she'll mean it this time. You'll only end up making love with your hand while smelling nice. 5. If you don't know Ganymede or its DNA, please try before you buy. This is not a freshie or blind-buy worthy no matter what the youtube dumbf**k reviews say. 6. Habibi did I mention? That bottle and the overall presentation: spectacular!
