The opening i love. A deep cherry but unfortunately the cherry disappears and fade quite fast so whats remaining is a slightly sweet Woody fragrance. Not bad at all but i had bought it for the cherry note. So a bit disappointed after the good opening. Will use it up but not repurchase. Without the cherry its a just a regular Woody scent. 😔
Another candy gourmand. Dark chocolates with a marmalade heart. That's what I get from it, so I barely even register it a perfume. Nothing interesting about it. Feels quite childish, not sure why and for whom it has been made. I don't even like those marmalade chocolates. I don't like it but it's not actively aversive either, so from my side, no need to rebuke it. It's just a one big "MEH". Not sure why "Not a clone of TF" is listed above as a negative. True, it's not even trying to follow the footsteps of Lost Cherry, but that's only a positive.
this smells chocolate cherry soap
Horrible. I got a decant thank god, this is medicinal cherry and a very loud one. I dont usually hate fragances, my nose is not that Picky but this one I can't. I even got a weird smell like sweat, fishy? really weird, also first time that happen to me.
I have very mixed feelings about this perfume. It is very pleasant to me, but it somehow doesn’t deliver what the name promises. I bought it because I wanted another cherry perfume. What I got is a perfume that promises to be cherry but smells like a mixture of fruit and flowers and one would need a magnifying glass to actually find a hint of cherry. Unspecified fruit yes, but cherry - no. Did I accidentally get a bottle where they forgot to add the cherries? Furthermore, the name Mayar Cherry Intense suggests that you will have a perfume that is strong (intense). To me this is a very mild fruity perfume, instead of strong and cherry. So if I was searching for a mild sweet fruity/flowery perfume, this would be my first choice. But because I wanted cherry perfume and strong silage, unfortunately I am not very impressed. Even though the scent is pleasant.
Literally awfull!!! It smells like an old Barbie doll’s hair VERY honestly. It smells NOTHING like YSL Opium Over Red. And It won’t get better over time, I’ve had it for 11 month now and it still smells THE SAME.
First Review; there’s something RANCID about this smell that makes my stomach curdle. This smells like that sweet plastic smell u get when u open a Barbie doll up for the first time. It also has this essence of hospital that reminds me of paracetamol and Calpol. Will be back with an updated review.
usually i dont go for fruity perfumes, but i rlly wanted to try a cherry fragrance. whoever said this smells exactly like a cherry tootsie pop was totally right. personally, i like that. its not the most synthetic cherry ever, its js very sweet. i do see how ppl get medicine scent from this tho. im a fan of that, so i dont see it as a negative. the chocolate is definitely there as well, but the other notes feel like theyre hiding in here. wish i got more of the patchouli or bergamot. i wouldnt get it again, but ill use my bottle. im glad i tried it bc its interesting and unique, although polarizing fs. worth noting that it only lasts a couple hrs, even tho when first sprayed it smells like itll stay on u forever. can be worn any season, day and night.
It smells like synthetic cherry to me, but not in a bad way. It gives me Maraschino cherry vibes, sweet and slightly artificial. I do not really get much cacao from it, although I can smell a little bit of vanilla in the background. I think this is a very simple and easy fragrance to wear. It is something I would reach for when I do not know what to wear and do not want anything too strong or complicated, but still want to smell good. Still not something I would wear often, but I can definitely see why someone would like this. Just not really my personal favourite.
It does not smell like Sweet Lolita or Odyssey Black forest. I bought it because I wanted a dupe for Sweet Lolita because it's one of my favorite perfume. However, Sweet is more airy and floral, whereas this is straight gourmand. That being said, it's a very chocolate cherry perfume. Like cherries covered in a dark chocolate. Not a sweet one, but a 100% dark chocolate bar type of chocolate. It is a new bottle so the performance is not great, maybe lasts 2-4 hours but don't take my word for it because I have hope it will last longer or maybe I go noseblind after a while. Can be worn any season, but best for winter and night.
I’m a cherry girl. This kinda smells like a nursing home
It's not an exact dupe for miss Dior essence but similar enough for me! Very yummy. Not sure yet when to wear this, maybe it would be nice for Valentines day 🥰
It lasts on me 15 HOURS! One of my favourites, it smells like cherry pralines, but deeper and darker, amazing smell for cold rainy days.
It has a note reminiscent of electrical damage, similar to a burnt cable, this is the weird note I believe everyone was trying to describe, it is not that bad I would wear it occasionally when I want to smell like I’m burning fire but it's just headache
Oh this is THE beast mode perfume. It lasts SO LONG and it projects SO FAR I am at a loss. Impossibly sweet too- I definetly need something to cut through it. I sense something of a plastic-y note too? Not a negative, I don't necessarily mind it, but that vague scent for the hours it lasts can get a little daunting.
Boredom possessed me to troll YouTube one night where I spotted a few positive reviews for Lattafa "Mayar Cherry Intense." I purchased a full bottle at a good price. Mayar Cherry Intense is a very nice fragrance. No surprises here. After an opening resplendent with citrus bergamot, a thick & jammy cherry accord appears. Smooth, creamy milk chocolate soon emerges. And there you have it! Cherry & chocolate with requisite base notes. Mayar Cherry is a less complex Navitus "Venom of Love" without the additional floral note. This is really pretty. And I'm recognizing that I like/love Middle Eastern fragrances. However with most ME perfumes, I need to overspray to reach the intensity of fragrance I like on skin. It's a pretty fragrance. I love it!
Immediately after spraying it, I can smell the fresh sweetness from strawberry and bergamot, but then it becomes very cocoa-forward after a few seconds. It literally smells like you are smelling a tub of cocoa powder, with a hint of maraschino cherry. Its much more chocolatey than I expected. I get the 'play-doh' smell when I put my nose really close to my skin. One downside is that it doesn't last very long, maybe only a couple hours on my skin.
Im obsessed with this. Its not as heavy as the notes make it sound. The top note to me is fresh cherries and strawberry with chocolate powder and a brightness from the bergamot. As it dries down it becomes soft, still sweet and a little tangy but with an almost incense type vibe and melted dark chocolate. Even if you over spray this, it isn't super heavy but its really delicious. Not childlike at all, just really yummy.
I have been searching Cherry perfumes since I fell in love with"Black cherry Merlot" from Bath and Body Works, I have acquired my share of dupes of Lost Cherry and I hated all of them. So I tried Mayar and it smelled like Play-Doh with gasoline. But my friend try it and on her it smelled gloriously. So I decided to quit my search for Black Cherry Merlot.
It's nothing like I imagined it to be. I wanted to love it so much, but to me it smells like cherry with mint toothpaste and chocolate splashed all over. I let it macerate for a year and I still don't like it. I tried wearing it but it just ruins my day.
Not great, not terrible...Cocoa and Strawberry is not combining effortlessly, also it smells more like raspberry than strawberry ( or generic berries). Is not the typical cherry that you are awaiting (not like lost cherry, or maraschino). The dry-down is nice with a sugary patchouli/vanilla combo, but overall it could be better. Longevity and solace are above average. Quite feminine but a man can also pull it off.
Smells just like a cherry tootsie roll sucker.
The more I wear it, I smell its depth. The notes are true but the blendmenship deserves some applause. The dry down is jammy warm and slightly rummy. The cocoa sits between cocoa butter and cocoa chocolate in their natural form. I detect tobacco in the dry down too. Somehow all this is done and i don't feel like its a gourmand or edible. I do get the tiny tiny chip of plastic that shows up, like a new Barbie doll. But...it works! That little hint tells you to swap out ballet flats for 3 inch wooden Candies. Wonderful for cool spring days and nights. So good. I overspray because i want her to stay! Edit 6/11/26 - It has blended smoothly after masceration. Plastic is gone. Yummy!
So Amazon sent me this by mistake and just told me to keep it. I wasn't a fan at first but just put it away and forgot about it for a few months, but decided to pull it out again after the cherry in the new Burberry Her Parfum was such a rousing success for me. OMG, I love what this has turned into in the meantime. It's an elevated version of Nebras/Eilish #1 on me and so delicious, with that lovely earthy patchouli on the bottom. Loooove it. I think you could get away with this year-round.
CHERRY JAM & CACAO! Smells like baking a chocolate cake with Cherry jam To me this smells exactly like putting cacao in cherry jam! If you like cherry candy like perfumes this is not it. The cacao in this fragrance is quite strong and has a cacao powdery like the one you use for baking. The cherry jam note is a bright, light and uplifting while the cacao note is powdery and bitter. On my skin the vanilla note comes through after an hour or two and leaves a subtle fluffy dark chocolate cake vibe. The cacao note is a bit cloying to me so I don’t reach out for it as much as my other perfumes
I feel very conflicted about this fragrance. The dry down is lovely: smells like the dark chocolate bonbons with cherry liqueur after you've bitten into one, but the opening smells like a hint dark chocolate with a lot of alcohol. Most days I think its okay, other's I like it.
Very unique, whoever gets lost cherry from this has lost the plot. Opening is very medicinal and sour, lots of alcohol and just the concept of a cherry. It dries down to a jammy and thick cocktail cherry with a touch of cocoa. Feels very romantic to me and is definitely a head turner. I can’t stop smelling my wrists, it smells edible. You can find it for a very good price too so overall a very pleasant blind buy for me.
This is a deliciously dense and jammy cherry-chocolate scent, quite unique among all of the other cherry scents I've tried. My bottle arrived with a damaged atomizer and I've only been able to apply this to my skin so far, but I definitely like this enough to go to the effort of transferring it to a new bottle and/or rebuying it. If you're looking for a different take on cherry, or if you like dense gourmand scents, you'll likely find something to enjoy here. It also makes for some very interesting layering combos with spice-forward cherry-adjacent fragrances like Khamrah Dukhan, French Avenue Spicy Amber or Emir Cherry Cola. The cherry-chocolate notes serve as a great base while the peppery spicy notes sit on top of it.
if you enjoy black cherries, diet coke cherry, cherry liqueur chocolates and homemade jam, this is the perfume for you. it has the same energy as a lady who loves death metal, or a man who loves dramatic rock. in the opening, it's also candy-like in a way. at that point it invokes a memory, yet one that might not be the best for some. i suggest layering this with la liturgie des heures by jovoy, as it reinforces the dramatic, gothic and nostalgic vibe.
It reminds me soooo much of the Victoria’s Secret velvet petals spray. I also get more strawberry vibes than the cherry jam which I am not a fan of. So sweet like a chocolate treat with strawberry jam filling but in an overwhelming way like it could give someone a headache. Instead of cocoa I smell praline. Not my cup of tea..
