High priestess energy. Super deep, smokey, sensual and mysterious. It lasts forever!! I always have trouble with perfume longevity on my skin but this will last an entire day! And its so strong. Only 2 sprays and the whole room will smell you. I can imagine that I'd really hate to be in a moving car for too long with someone who smells like this though. I mostly smell incense-y caramel and roses. Feminine leaning unisex. Not casual at all. Not for everyday nor the faint of heart. The type of woman that wears this has gold bangles, huge gold hoops, smokey eyes and wild voluminous curls. Fortune teller vibes.
I love oud, but I can't breath within this. Too much, too much sugar. suffocating
I looooove Oud but this is HORRIBLE
Most of you are young bucks and it shows. The moment I sprayed this both me and my wife instantly smelled Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds purfume. But once it drys down it becomes more masculine as it starts of extremely feminine in the opening. The Caramel mixed with the Oud Wood and Musk takes it from extremely feminine to Unisex slightly masculine to my nose. If you love this opening and you are young, go get your nose on the Original Scent... Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds.
Anyone who owned this bottle for years noticed the scent get richer? I revisited this since it’s summer and I haven’t been touching oud(I know I’m guilty! Oud in summer… but I just had to visit this again.) The scent matured so much. Yes the opening is still somewhat harsh but the drydown is heavenly it’s so smooth now. The Oud and caramel are so well blended now. There’s a specific note in this fragrance that makes it so addicting. I can’t tell what it is but when I inhale it then hold my breath it smells so appealing.
The scent reminds me of sweet caramel over slowly burning wood, creating a warm, smoky fragrance.
Its good and kind of sweetest beast, it has good logitivity, projection and sillage, its mostly musky, caramelic and bit hint of floral and oud.
I usually love oud perfumes and woody scents in general, but this one works much better for me as a wardrobe or home fragrance than as a perfume. In hot weather, where I live, it feels a bit too heavy and suffocating on the skin. Not bad, just too much. But as a home scent - Amazing. I spray it on dried cotton flowers, and the whole house smells beautiful for weeks. So, not really a perfume for me - but definitely a perfect home fragrance.
Beautiful fragrance, honestly. The scent is really classy and luxurious. The oud and rose are well balanced and it feels premium right from the first spray. Only one issue I have: the longevity is weak. I thought maybe it was my skin, but I’m starting to suspect it might be a batch issue. If anyone else has tried different batches, let me know how the performance is for you? The smell itself is gorgeous and it would be perfect for fall/winter, I just wish the longevity matched how good it smells.
Quality incense, resin, oud, musk, saffron, and rose are present...the rest are muted. The oud in here is very smoothed out, and I also loved the quality incense, resin, rose and musk that does the job by blending well together. Something about it is soapy, unique, fluffy, slightly sweet, rich, and clean. Sillage and longevity are kind of troublesome. I had to reapply three times for me to smell it on my skin, which never happens with other samples I have tried so far, but it's still such a good scent. Edit: After a couple more tries, I've come to the decision that this bottle isn't for me. The oud note begins to stand out over time and becomes a medicinal oud I hate in most "oud" fragrances I have come across.
Seriously - I am enjoying this more NOW than a year ago . This (these) really need to "sit" for a while . Shaghaf Oud & This = Same exact thing. No need to own both -- Just make sure you give them 10 nice sprays and tuck it away for 6 months (if you can wait it out). You will be rewarded with a fluffy room filler. No- "incense" forward , church or otherwise, is here. Look elsewhere for that. And no- this is not a straight up Lancome Oud clone. The Lancome Oud series is ( or was- are they mostly discontinued ?) a blend of oud ..... and the most intoxicating delicate nuanced FLORALS your nose ever did meet (the peach-y vibe one was to die for ) . There are NO FLORALS here. Zero . This is wood / oud , caramel puffs of smoke coming from a marketplace in Egypt . And the volume is a DRY stuffy one! Wear this in the summer and you will feel like a caramel burnt pillow is strapped to your face. BLIND BUY SAFE if nothing else you own smells like this. GRADE : B Plus Plus. The value factor is pretty amazing! Experiment with this: Layer it with something floral and see what fits. DON'T wear this to a dinner / restaurant unless you want everyone's chicken parmesan to taste like smoked caramel sauce . Thank me later & not all at once.
Smelled great at first but a few months later it has a very strong dirty socks aroma, same exact aroma you find in qimma for men, but it is way stronger in this one and takes about an hour to go away. I’m bummed because I really liked this one. Good thing I got the box with the hair mist because that smells great after a shower.
UPDATE after living with this for 2 years. What this basically smells like to the UNINITIATED: You're at a campfire in the woods and you're done for the evening . Smokey Bear ran out of water , and hands you a bucket of Caramel sauce ice cream topping to douse the fire with . You can smell the caramel cooking , the smoke and the ashes from the wood as the fire goes out. That's pretty much it. I am not sure ladies will LOVE this for themselves and may wanna smell this on a man first. LOL. On the PLUS side: This is dense - it has weight. (MANY if not all Clone-cheapies are TOO thin and weak). On the MINUS side - this is SMOTHERING . You will need to open a window or turn on the AC while sampling this . On the PLUS side - the bottle is nice. Like a bundle of S & M seatbelts. On the MINUS side - this smells NOTHING like the euphoric Lancome Oud series. On the PLUS side - his is affordable to everyone. This rates a little better than Shaghaf Oud (same price) . I have BOTH sitting here for 2 years. GRADE: B. No nuances (when do cheapie clones have nuances ?) .
it's not a bad perfume by any means, if you like oud, you'll probably like this. It's just that I've smelled better oud perfumes before. I really tried liking this one, but I just knew from the first time I sprayed it that It will not grow on me. It has pretty decent longevity and strong projection though.
When I first bought this (blind buy, based on notes) it turned immediately musky-masculine on my skin (a regular occurrence on me sadly, as I bring out earthy, musky notes), but I let it mature in the cupboard for a few months and now it is a deep, sweet amber rose and warm woody oud. I genuinely like it - sits slightly more feminine now imo, but is still very unisex. A proper SWANA (middle-eastern) fragrance, and beautiful. Had compliments day-one of wearing it. If you like deeper sweet woods, this is lovely once matured.
insane. I smelt this on a girl on a bus so grateful I asked
It's not bad bad, but it's not a bomb either. I don't really know how to feel about it. It's one of those fragrances where I really feel completely lost. When I first smelled it, It smelled like melted plastic. But after maceration it got better. I will probably passed it to my mom since she loves it more than me. It's a very sweet synthetic oud i would say. Definitely not safe blind buy. 4/10
I don't know how to feel. I know these cheapies need to sit before they mature or whatever, but it's been about 8 months. It's super synthetic and just odd. It smells like a weird soap. I love oud but this coms off as a dead woman's idea of oud. I'm keeping it for a bit to see if it grows on me. Big headache.
Listen. If you have this and Angel Elixir, layer them. They were made to be together. Angel Elixir makes this fluffier and the complements are nonstop. Welcome <3
I love love love it. 2nd bottle half way gone. Always going to have this in my collection. It layers so well with other perfumes. I even enjoy spraying it on before bed. Carmel rose sweet oudy goodness.
I knew what I was getting into when I bought this- that it would be awhile before it ages into something wearable. And sure enough, when I first took it out of the box and sprayed it, it was this noxious cloud of menthol and gasoline. Every couple of weeks, I'd take it out to spray it a couple of times then after two months, it completely changed. The medicated gasoline smell has disappeared and it has become beautiful. It smells like an old wooden keepsake box that someone has stored dried rose petals inside. The rose isn't bright or jammy, but muted and almost dusty. I don't know if it's my skin or the fact that it hasn't been aging for that long, but I don't really get any sweetness here. The caramel notes on me are more like burnt sugar- where the sugary notes have burnt off to where it's almost verging on bitter. It still is a beast in terms of performance. It lingers on my clothes and remains on my skin until I shower. I also imagine that it would be great to layer with any gourmand fragrance to balance out the sweetness and add dimension with its rich woods and soft rose notes. I am really happy I bought this and can't wait to see what more aging will bring to it
after some maceration, i get why people say they smell wet wipes on this. However, its just an initial smell, and soon fades of into this addictive, sweet and rich scent. Perfect for the coldest days of winter. Rest of the year - not that much. Performance is great; longevity on this is insane. On skin, you can spray it in the morning and still pick up some scents when you next wake up. On fabrics its even more crazy; all my scarfs smell of it, even after a week. I once gifted my ex a teddy bear on which i sprayed it couple times, and she told me she could still smell it strongly after almost a month (no kidding). It's hard to judge the projection on this scent however, as its a smell which your nose doesnt get used to that easily, so you will be smelling it on yourself throughout the day, no matter what you are doing. I've been told though, that it leaves a "tail", so i guess it really is that good. If i had to say, who that fragrance is for, I really couldnt give a straight answer. To me its a perfect unisex; the flowery notes feel somewhat feminine, while the sweet, ambery undertone make it suited also for men. I could also say its suited for all age groups. This was my first blind buy though, so i might be a little biased, but for that price, you should really consider it. If you dont like it, surely someone else will. Also, dont be mislead by the name; there is no Oud to be found in it. 8/10
addictive, makes me want to bury my nose in whatever i'm wearing. perfect for fall or winter, during the day or night
This brings back bitter sweet memories. I remember laying in my room at night on the top bunk bed. My brother would keep the window open on a Summer night. I remember laying in my bunk and could smell the wind outside mingling with the cologne I put on earlier in the day and my brothers piss soaked mattress from being a bed wetter. If you added baby powder and the smell of furniture polish to the aforementioned, you'd have this amazing scent! Buy it! You won't regret it! It's nostalgia in a bottle!
- worst blind buy so far - i wouldnt even want to use this as an air freshener
Wet wipes is all I get. Ill have to return to this...
Dreadful, shreaking, sweaty oud. Tried to let it mature for a year or so, but still almost get sick just smelling the top. Passed it on.
Pachnie 1 do 1 jak kościelne kadzidło, dokładnie tego potrzebowałam
deliciously sweet oud, right up my alley - i love how strong it is, it really makes an impression!
