Yara Candy

I like it, it smells like candy and I want to smell like candy. Only bad thing that it doesnt last, IT DOESNTTTTT. And also i dont know why people hateee it. It aint even that bad. Who ever said it smells like sour patch is so fucking wrong, on that Tiktok because it doesnt!! It smells strawberry though. Low price and basically for me--its a body mist because it doesnt last long. And Yes I am wearing it, im gonna get a second bottle. I am just rambling shit but who actually gets a headache from perfumes because I never do. I just wish that this perfume last its so yummers.

people describe this scent as super sweet candy and strawberry gummies. i get it, but that is way too exaggerated. this to smells very very similar to the discontinued Good Girl Supreme by Carolina Herrera. a very gorgeous scent, but a bit too musky for me. i was hoping for something super sweet and bright but it is not that imo. still smells good though and worth purchasing especially for only like $25. scent is a 7/10 . performance/projection like a 7/10. i have other lattafa perfumes that have performed a lot better.

It just smells synthetic and cheap, like cleaning spray or air freshener. I blind bought and when I first opened it I thought there was something wrong with it because it smelt like plastic for some reason? Im also not getting any vanilla and when i smelt it the 'sweetness' was sort of alcoholic and sour. I don't recommend

I had such big expectations for this candied Yara but turns out the candy smell is vomit inducing instead of hunger inducing

smells very artifical its sweet and fun and can imagine someone with a very cute and fun gyaru type style smelling good in this but overall its a bit too artificially sweet, eeyuck

When I first got Candy 6 months ago I thought I loved it and bought a backup bottle. As time went on I didn’t reach for it. It smells juvenile to me. I wear some juvenile fragrances but this one is very juvenile. It smells good, it’s just not for me. I use it for layering, especially vanilla fragrances. The projection, longevity and silage are average. I would think a teen or 20 something would like it.

Candy-like strawberry and fruit. Yummy and playful. Good performance. Simple, sweet, fun. Sometimes you just want something playful and easy - this is that one. Nothing "challenging" or "sophisticated" - don't over think it. If you like fruity and sweet, you will reach for this again and again. Crowdpleaser for a reason. Well done for what it is - doesn't try to be something that it's not.

At first I thought this was too sweet for me, instantly thought of Britney’s OG perfume from the 90s. But I paired it with Burberry Her & the dry down is quite wearable.

Unique scent. Smells like Froot Loops and the marshmallows from lucky charms. Good sillage and duration. Very juvenile by the way, im not seeing a miss over 22 wearing this.

It's like a fresher brighter and lighter strawberry infused Yara Elixir. The opening is berry-like from the sweetened by the candy note black currant but the strawberry's sweetness is present, and it's bit green, slightly citrusy, it's like a Garnier shampoo, I like it. It gradually becomes sweeter more dense with a burst of artificially sweet strawberry, less fresh but with an almost minty undertone from the black currant so it retains some fruity freshness. The Elixir has that minty undertone too but more subdued. The way it's high pitched yet sickly sweet it becomes identical to The Scent by Boss and even more its dupe by La Rive Sweet Woman which is more sickly sweet and turns out my nose didn't trick me, they share notes: black currant strawberry and tangerine. Well green tangerine in this. Sweet Woman is very obnoxious to me as it's too plain so the sickly sweet element is all it offers, but Yara Candy is more dimensional by the amber but also more juicy and intense. Even from the sprayer it smells like Sweet Woman La Rive. The Elixir has some of that sweetness of Sweet Woman /The Scent Boss but it's a lot deeper it ends up smelling like a lighter bbw Sugared Cherry Crisp but with a berry scent. Elixir has a strawberry tart dominant sweetness along with the sugared minty berry-like black currant, while Yara Candy has a candy-like artificial strawberry lactonic milkshake scent without a berry undertone. Both Candy Yara and the Elixir are artificially sweet, sickly sweet syrupy and jammy but this is less jammy less powdery. As I said the Elixir is deeper berry-like and it also reminds me of the jammy BBW mists like the berry waffle cone one without the graham cookies baked goods scent of it or a lighter Sugared Cherry Crisp minus the coffee. I prefer the Elixir due to its resinous amber base but this is fun too like a juicier Sweet Woman/The Scent that doesn't cause me nausea unlike these two. The later drydown has a floral undertone. In the opening and drydown all I get from the gardenia is a milky nuance creating the impression of an artificial strawberry milkshake. The lactonic aspect is overwhelming a bit but I like weird scents. But yea it's crazy that it smells so identical to Sweet Woman and The Scent for her. The aftermath after 8 hrs is a lovely artificial as in plastic-y sweet watermelon-strawberry powdery scent like a watermelon lip balm I had as a kid. I've seen reviews talking about a watermelon scent in other black currant scents by Lattafa like the Nasmaat so I'm guessing that's the scent of their sugared black currant.

Swing and a miss! Blah no, this is just cheap air freshener from a supermarket. Really fake sweet/lolly/candy scent and nothing else. I’ve been maturing this for maybe a year now, I can’t stand wearing it or sniffing it. I love sweet scents like cloud candy and marshmallow etc but this is strong and too too much. I have Ariana grande sweet like candy and that one is better than this if you had to choose one. I wouldn’t recommend this one unless you like very fake candy scents that is more air freshener than perfume.

i thought i'd like this more because i was expecting the candy note to come off more refreshing, but it just smells like a melted ring pop. i don't dislike it but that aspect is enough for me to go "meh". if you live somewhere similar to me where it's humid, subtropical, and hot for the majority of the year this isn't very wearable or versatile. maybe i'll enjoy this more when the 2 cold months out of the year come around, but for now more than 3-4 sprays is definitely cloying. i don't regret this purchase since i bought a 12 ml at a ross so it wasn't expensive and it gave me the chance of trying it out (╥﹏╥)

I don't understand why people talk bad about it. It's so feminine and pretty, not too sweet, and a really clean smell tbh. It smells like freshly washed hair, strawberries, gardenia and happiness. It's nice to layer it with other perfumes to make them more girly, and prevent Yara Candy from being too one note. I really love it. I smell the bottle like a crackhead every time I want to brighten my day 🍓☀️

First of all, i love how the atomizer spritz very fine mist and like in single long press too! Second, this smells like opening a bag of sour gummy candies, hence the name 'Candy'. But fret not, it is not overly sweet, not exactly gourmand-ish. It is leaning towards the citrus, tangy, tartness of fruit gummy candies. then it leaves you with this creamy vanilla fruitiness. i like it. also a steal for it's price. Remember: what works for you might not work for everyone, and it's okay. to each their own. xoxo

My immediate impression is that I really like this. I get vanilla, sweet candy, and white florals right away. In the dry down, the musk comes through and rounds everything out nicely. It doesn't smell as synthetic as many Middle Eastern fragrances and is easy to wear. I'd wear it for a day out with the girls or a lunch date, but not to the office. It isn't the most refined fragrance, but for the price, it's a great spring or summer scent. I'd recommend it as a blind buy if you like sweet fragrances.

Nice strawberry black currant bubble gum kind of scent for teenage girls. Thankfully bought a decant of this. Not for someone above 30.

Smells like melted stawberry jolly ranchers - and the melted part matters because it somehow is fruity sweet but also cloyingly heavy and syrupy and... warm. After 2 hours it fades into something super soft and sweet on the skin (the best part) and then one hour later its gone. I would say this is a crowd pleaser, but only in cooler weather - something about it is just too much for summer. It's generic but rich and heavy.

Unfortunately, the reviews that mention that this feels juvenile are correct. Listen, I love a young, sweet, flirty fragrance. I am not opposed to smelling a bit trashy but this is just too young smelling for me. It's quite literally like smelling like fruity, somewhat sparkling (?) candy and I just can't seem to find a way to wear this that feels grown or appropriate. If I was still in my early 20's, this would be my clubbing fragrance without a doubt. But I'm not clubbing anymore lol

It's fun, playful fruity candy. The opening is bright and synthetically sugary with a fruitiness that feels youthful without being overly sharp. It makes me think of a playful, ultra feminine girly who loves pink, spends her summer days by the beach or pool, and naturally gravitates toward sweet, cheerful fragrances that match her carefree personality. Overall, it's an easy to wear fresh gourmand that's ideal for casual outings, warmer weather, or anyone who enjoys sweet, candy inspired fragrances. If you're expecting something like those juicier fruity Escada vibes, this isn't it, but if you're after a simple, fresh, cheerful, sweet scent, Yara Candy is for you.

I don't mind it! This is OG Yara's rainbow-loving little sister; more bright and candy-like, less powdery and vanilla-y. It reminds me of Pink Sugar, but without that cloying, burnt, stale brown sugar, cotton candy on fire atrocity its got going on. It does everything Pink Sugar was trying to do, correctly. Decent longevity and sillage, not great or terrible. The hot pink and gold on the bottle are quite gorgeous! Like OG Yara, it feels very hollow and cheap, but it IS cheap, so what argument can really be made there? Decent atomizer. I definitely reach for OG Yara more, but this rendition of it is quite pretty as well! 6/10.

Super fun and youthful. Very girly. Something you would wear hanging out with your girlfriends in the daytime but far too childish to wear around your man. Nevertheless, it’s a reminiscent smell and it’s nice to have. Faintly reminds me of BBW Strawberry Pound Cake.

Edited:- I wasn’t crazy about this, but my husband recoils whenever I wear it. It doesnt suit my skin chemistry at all. It makes me smell….. unwell. It’s not a body odor, but has a subtle scent of decay somewhere. I am donating this one. OG:- I received a gift package with this and the OG Yara. They’re fine, but not a profile I love. Great for work or everyday running around, but they’re a bit generic.

I'm not sure if my bottle needs to sit for few more months but I'm not liking what I'm smelling after 1 month of purchase. Opens with strawberry candy - sweet and sour - for sure but it's a bit synthetic. Then comes a screechy musk which I don't like either along with vanilla. It just seems overhyped to me. Far from the original yara both in terms of scent and quality.

I thought this was ok when I first wore it a year ago, however, after sitting for about 10 months the Strawberry scent is all it’s giving AND, even sweeter than the last time I used it. I wish I could remotely detect the base notes but either I’ve gone nose blind or the base just disappears on me before they actually develop. Just not for me unless I were a 10-yr old!

Basically if you want to smell like red fruit gummy bears, this is the fragrance to go! After sitting for a couple of months the performance gets better, especially on clothes.

Omgg, this is sooooo good. Like it smells just like strawberry candy.it projected for 3 hours and lasted 6 hours on me. The sillage and lasting is moderate to decent tbf, good for winters but its still soo amazing. At first spray, its tangy but later you get that strawberry vanilla candy syrup that smells HEAVENLY. Get this omggg

A fun sweet feminine scent. It is quite sweet, but not like the pink sugar back in the day. I liked it more than I thought I would. More distinct than yara pink (which I would have liked except for the faint play doh smell I couldn’t get past even after letting it sit)

You know, just occurred to me. This thing reminds me of a strawberry cream soda or like flat out a sugary pink strawberry drink with some vanilla ice cream in it- It’s got that exact fizzy sugariness but then its so creamy at the exact same time… the contrast is off putting enough to drive me away from wanting to use it a whole lot but when I do use it, I do enjoy it :)

I personally do not like gourmand perfume in general, but this might be an exception; I use it almost everyday. The sweetness is not overpowering and there is a tanginess that prevents it prom being too sweet.

This is such a fun scent. There is nothing serious about it and it might be even be a little too young for some. Personally, I don’t care about that. It smells great, I’m wearing it. Definitely a super sweet strawberry candy. You gotta like SWEET scent to get down with this. Easy blind buy for those who like a sweet gourmand. And, it’s cheap so probably not a big deal if you don’t like it. You could easily pass it on to someone who’ll love it. It’s popular for a reason. Crowd pleaser.
