So nostalgic for me. One of my aunts must've been wearing it because it is VERY familiar. Takes me back to the early 2000s playing sonic adventure on the gamecube. don't ask why that game in particular, maybe one of the aunts was at our place a lot when i was obsessed with it? scent memories are strange. either way... though I would never wear it because it definitely ages you 10-20 years, I find it really pleasant for what it is. very synthetic, yes, but also just the right amount of fruity-floral sweetness, fresh, elegant, very feminine. every note blends together, but it's not chaotic. to me, this is very floral-fruity and woody, without any singular note being the protagonist. a fragrance like a hug from your favorite auntie.

When I was a child my mom had a mini of this. She had many mini perfumes in a glass cabinet, that I thought was the biggest treasure chest of curiosity. This was the one I would always smell the lid of, like it was the rarest liquid gold in the world. I just bough 50ml out of nostalgia. It did unfortunately disappoint. The first 2-3 hours where heavenly, and I wished it just stayed linear, then this could easily be one of my favourites! But, for about an hour after that, I got this super strange dry down. I could not pin point what it was, but reading some reviews below I can see that I am not the only one with a weird dry down. Others have described it as cumin, musty wood or puke, and I do kind of see that, it´s very similar, so kind of a mix of those with the smell of Fishermanns friend salmiak pastilles or licorice, its so odd, kind of nauseating. I had to put my clothes in the washer and scrub it off. Either it´s the vetiver dry down that could read licorice on me, or it´s the so called Brazilian rosewood, being another kind of wood, that smells like licorice. I don´t know if it´s my skin chemistry, or new formula (it must have changed since the 90´s), but it sure does not work for m now. If the dry down works for you I might be a bit jealous because I want to wear this so badly.

This is so strong that I can't stand it! It lasts up to a week on clothes, maybe more. It's in the same league as Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue. Comes off as very synthetic and chemical. Plus the ingredients list is never-ending, so you know it's truly a chemical bomb.

The ultimate shampoo clean hair hairspray scent. Reminds me of the way my hair used to smell after washing it in the 90s.

Laura Biagiotti Laura is an universally pleasing women’s fragrance. It’s the very definition of a mainstream scent for the masses—basically: “Don’t stand out, don’t bother anyone, be wearable anytime and anywhere, don’t experiment, and stick to what’s tried and tested.” The fragrance is sweet, lightly citrusy, fresh, not too strong, pleasantly tasty, and overall very crowd-friendly. The opening is fruity-fresh and immediately reminds me of a sweet sparkling wine or a very sweet white wine. It simply smells like a fruity-sweet Prosecco you’d drink on a terrace in summer or outside at your favorite Italian restaurant around the corner. Overall, it feels more like a sweet, slightly alcoholic soft drink than a classic perfume. It’s an incredibly subtle, fruity, lightly citrusy scent that doesn’t bother anyone at all—even in the tightest spaces, shoulder to shoulder. You can wear it in the office without any issues, even under the strictest and most conservative etiquette. A woman who prefers very subtle, highly likeable scents—or who works in an environment with extremely strict rules (e.g., a women’s prison)—can reach for this one without hesitation. But anyone who wants a fragrance that others will actually notice for their money should definitely not go for this. The sillage is very restrained, especially because of this “well-behaved” scent profile. Longevity is short to moderate. Overall, it’s a pleasant fresh-fruity everyday scent for the office, the subway, the elevator—anywhere you’re sitting or standing close to strangers, you can wear it without any problems. The very definition of a fresh, crowd-pleasing daily fragrance.

Nostalgic for me as I was gifted a bottle at around 10 years old and I treasured it so much. I kept it in the box, sniffing the cap occasionally until it leaked and evaporated! After tracking it down and purchasing it decades later, it is the same bright aquatic spritz of a top note. However I remember back in the day the middle notes lasted a lot longer. There was a beautiful floral aspect which I’m not getting now, as it just disappears into a musty woody drydown.

aquatic peachy musk bomb with calone. A perfect example of the 90s trend for floral aquatic scents. If it didn't have the mom reputation it could be seen as somewhat experimental when it came out. i don't like it but i can see what people could like in it. Extremely good longevity and sillage.

My mom used to wear this perfume and now i have started to wear it too, my friend says it has a note of grandma sent and i understand what she means but that sent is so docile you bearly notice it. It smells aquatic, fresh and light with sweet flowers, it kind of reminds me of a beach or a nice vacation with a sunny day. The sent is warm and kind to the nose but im kind of dissapointed when it commes to its longlivety, i only smell a smal hint of it after a coupple hours mostely beacuse the sent sticks to the skin.

Love this perfume, saw it in my local Savers and bought it out of nostalgia. Aquatic, fruity, fresh, clean. The bottle is lovely too, a timeless classic. A light, safe, everyday perfume.

At some point, I have probably already reviewed this beauty, either way, I am here to beg it is never discontinued. A RARE beauty that has hung in there for over 30 years! Kudos that it is so beautiful & not a watered down body spray as some have dwindled down to. I have several backup bottles, but every single time I use this, I want to get online & buy 2 more bottles out of fear of losing it! Way ahead of it's time, b/c this fragrance in no way smells dated. It's just perfect. Very similar to Jovan Island Musk that you can't find anymore. It's just a beautiful scent that wraps around you & says "Hey, it's Summer,..get outside & have fun". Triple Love! I got this extremely cheap in my local savers (£9.99) as a blind buy after seeing it sit in the shop for maybe 5 months after reading how good this scent was for a spring freshie. Aquatic floral with a little bit of fruity shampoo in the blend. I personally don't particularly like it, but maybe I just don't like Freesia or Lily of the Valley that much. It has a nice watermelon to it. I'm probably going to give this away to a friend , or sell it off. Nothing wrong with it, just not for me.

Bought this for my mom 6 years ago on a blind buy, i never smelled it on her, now 6 years later i found the bottle and smelled it and boy oh boy how feminine is this scent i found myself dipping my nose in it, i can't define the fruity aspect but the other 4 main accords that follow i clearly can find them

This is my go-to fragrance for everyday wear! It's light and floral without being overpowering. The peach and watermelon notes are so fresh and sweet, and the florals are beautifully balanced. I get compliments on it all the time!

Strong 90s vibes IDK how to describe it Somewhat musty

Blind buy. I was searching for watermelon notes desperately because i love it but i was a bit disappointed with the result. It makes me feel it is a bit fake. I was expecting something more natural because i love the smell of fresh Watermelon. Fortunately i didn't gave a lot if money.

Blind bought miracle! It’s like perfume perfume-you know what I mean. Womanly, heavenly, long lasting on my skin.

It's hard to believe I haven't done any review on this one yet.. I never owned it, I tried, years ago, and now I have a 10 ml vintage sample which I spray on every morning to see what I think of it.. First thing that came in mind was So de la Renta, which I have, and I tested it against Laura already on each arm, and I must say the similarity is there somewhere, but Laura is more green and its opening is kinda stale compared to So. Another scent that came to mind was Giorgio Wings, which is also from the same era, less sweet though. Maybe it's a combination of So de la Renta and Wings? Somehow I get that impression.. It's the kind of scent that would be an easy reach for spring and summer, refreshing, it's not too bad, just smelled it before..

This was one of my first perfumes, and I still wear it from time to time as it is a fresh, sweet and easy dumb reach. It is not too much, nor too little even though the initial spray does tend to get kinda heavy and strong. It is aquatic which is a relief in this dry climate where I live. Even though it is a pretty straight forward fragrance, and doesn’t evolve a lot on the skin, it do have some complexity. I ecpecially like when the lily-of-the-valley burst through and blends with the watermelon and peach. The musk blends it nicely onto my skin and I can still smell this after a whole day of wear. A loyal companion that deserves more love than it gets, at least from me. Old or not, it is still being produced for a reason, right?

Really lovely, Laura! :) This perfume is pretty in a very simple way, a great summer vacation scent, reminiscent of going to dinner freshly showered after a long day at the pool. Kind of child-like, possibly juvenile, like a virgin Sex on the Beach cocktail at the sleazy bar of the most affordable all inclusive hotel your dad could find but, still, lovely. Not really all that exciting or appropriate for my day to day life but it does hit the spot if I‘m feelin‘ like a mocktail and buffet french fries for dinner. (Not that Laura smells like either of those things!)

As an 11 years old girl in 1996 this was my first perfume, gift from my mom. It brings back memories I miss those times. The freshness and powderyness is lovely

Pleasant but forgettable. Fades away completely in a couple of hours so the longevity isn't remarkable either. I did get compliments whenever I wore it, though.

Say what you want - it may be an old fragrance but it's still good. I got a sample of it back in the 1990s and I still like it. It's light, it's airy, it's a little bit fresh and perfect for those summer days on the beach or yacht. There was a time when I was tired of it but I started to use it this year and it still works for me. It's complex but well blended so you can't pick separate notes. As in the description above - it's like a gentle scarf.

I bought a bottle of Laura at my local thrift store. Can’t speak to the age of the perfume, but it is lovely and smells fresh and floral without being cloying or overpowering. I don’t sense a lot of notes, not the huge number listed. It opens with what I gather are here called “green notes”, but to me it is a celeriac/celery root note, earthy and almost sweaty. This dissipates in about 5 minutes and I get primarily freesia, which is a ‘Johnson’s baby shampoo’ clean, fresh and brisk floral without being sharp. There’s a sweetness that might be the fruit notes, but unlike some 90’s frags this is not uber-peachy. The sweet, fresh freesia lasts 5+ hours, I’m still getting wafts of it at the end of the work day. This is office appropriate and mild but not boring. I did try it outdoors on hot summer days but it just wilted, fading to nothing after an hour or so. I recommend this for spring, or indoor summer wear; I am curious to try it in cooler weather, but think the character is more springlike. A perfect feminine, casual, pretty and clean fragrance with decent longevity and low to moderate sillage. I totally get the appeal!

Dewy WATERMELON & PEACH. This was love at first sniff for me. Opens with a burst of juicy fruits including watermelon, peach & litchi with watery, sweet, tropical, green & fresh tones. Already here the woody tones are coming through from Brazilian rosewood, while it deepens into the floral heart with powdery, dewy & white-floral tones. This all rests on a musky vanilla-woods base. This is beautifully blended and overall I get a dewy, tropical fruity-floral with watermelon and musky vanilla-wood floral support base, that has a cooling, sweet & refreshing vibe. Has average performance for a light spring-summer wearing experience. Contrast to So de la Renta Oscar de la Renta: These are different, but you will catch a glimpse of Laura in So de la Renta's dewy tropical tones. So de la Renta has clean/soapy & creamy facets not found in Laura. Roughly equivalent performance. Overall: beautiful dewy watermelon & peach scent, with average performance. It's a love for me. This really does not last long on me but the first spray is lovely and flowery (reminds me of something from my garden but I can’t place it), and sweet. Decent sillage for about 45 minutes… and that’s how long it lasts. The dry down is completely non-existent to me. Stays a bit longer if I spray it on my clothes. While I’ll use up my 25ml bottle quite quickly I won’t be buying another one.

Ohh Laura... I remember having this perfume years ago and liking it a lot. Definitely smelled lotus, vetiver, lily of the valley, litchi and some flowers in it... I dont remember peach or plum at all (shame!I like peach notes!) So I was meaning to get another bottle but good thing I decided to try it first before getting a new big bottle of Laura - yuckies, what happened to it ? Its not the smell I remember. Felt kind of spicy almost, on a way heavier side then I remember, alsmot masculine... I still smell similarity but its not identical. Not sure if they changed it.

This is lovely. I bought a bottle, nearly full, for $10 at my local thrift store. I love freesia and was curious about this. It definitely smells like a 90s fragrance to me. It is fresh and floral and fruity. There’s a fruitiness that has a hint of 90s peach, but us more complex than that. I get a fresh, somehow fleshy-aquatic note - maybe the watermelon - with green, herbal notes. There is certainly a floral vibe, mostly the freesia and lily to my nose; I also sensed an almost cumin-like note, shading into a tad of body odor…but don’t see cumin listed, so not sure if this was vetiver? That was odd…yet also gave an interesting, earthy contrast to the earlier notes. The floral notes were the most prominent and lasted the longest on my skin, more than 6 hours. I enjoyed this and found it fresh but not shrieky or squeaky (not too clean); I was multifaceted and interesting yet somehow simple and not overbearing. Would work as an office scent - I wore it to church on a cool spring morning. Edit: after several warm June days, I have an even greater appreciation for this fragrance. I still get a cumin-like note, but it seems to be what keeps this balanced - even though I’m warm and sweaty, this fragrance smells (and keeps me smelling) fresh, clean and pretty. I adore the freesia note which to me smells like fancy French milled soap, very clean, feminine and elegant. For a light fragrance, longevity is 6+ hours (longer on clothes). This is becoming a summer favorite!

I love freesia and peach in perfumery and Laura is one of the best manifestations of them. I have owned the bottle of this juicy delicacy since it was released. At times I get enough of it, for several years I could'nt wear it but after that big pause I was in love again with it and now I feel happy to wear it weekly. This is a sort of innocent and girlish scent but that doesn't mean that only girls and young women could wear it only - this is for all ages, very tender and soft scent. I truly hope this would stay in production forever!

Close experience with previous review by Schattenburg 😄 I was so in love with that fragrance in my teens and early 20s, but so broke back then. I regularly visited the perfume store in my town (in eastern Europe) to ask the lady to spray Laura on a blotter. The lady already knew that I won't buy and always gave me some bad looks. Then I inhaled the beautiful aroma and left the store. 2020 I heard rumors that they'll discontinue the perfume (I guess it was false, because it's still available 😄) but that was the push to buy a whole 100ml bottle. It's so strange - it drives me directly to the 90s, so nostalgic. Regarding to the scent itself - I always thought that as pure aquatic as it is, this is a summer frag. However, I can't wear it in the heat, it gives me extra warmth. I have to test it again in cooler weather.

To me, this is the Fragrance with a big F. My mom used to wear this when I was little, so it reminds me alot of her comfort and safety. Beside nostalgia, it is a very light but interesting scent to my nose, not overpowering, but has that kind of «sparkle» to it that makes it noticable. I find the drydown somewhat similar to Aqua Di Gioia. Its that kind of aquatic, fresh floral scent that is impossible to get tired of. Honestly, I compare every fragrance I smell to Laura. It is the standard perfume, and even though it is generic in some aspects, any other scent does not quite compare to it.
