Lolita Lempicka

spicy, yummy, unexpected yet inoffensive. unfortunately, the worst sillage i've ever experienced; tested in a local shop and couldn't smell it minutes after applying. felt like it immediately evaporated into thin air, possibly a bad batch?

The scent of my adolescence. Reminds me of my first love. I wore his jacket once and this perfume left a mark..he told me that he could smell it for days after. It's intense, very sweet and slightly bitter- exactly like a first love.

The original Lolita Lempicka made me realize I'm a gourmand person at heart. It instantly brings me back to middle school, so wearing it always feels tied to nostalgia and innocence. To me, it smells exactly like a brand-new doll, or one of those baby dolls fresh out of the box, but amplified a hundred times. I've owned different formulations over the years, and I actually prefer the older, slightly pepperier versions over the sweeter ones. More than anything, this is an atmospheric perfume. It doesn't make me feel like I smell good, it transports me into a fairy tale of sorts.

A fairytale fragrance. Something a fairy would wear. Not for everyone, the licorice note is strong, making this very sweet which can be cloying. If you like very girly scents, this is for you!

I’ve been wearing Lolita Lempika since the early days. In my twenties, I became involved with a much older professor & thought it would be cute to buy a perfume called "Lolita" as a nod to my stupidity. That did not work out well. On the bright side, I discovered a lovely (clean, cruelty-free, vegan) perfume I still adore. It is the whimsical, imaginative & girlish sort of fragrance Alice would have worn in Wonderland. . Unfortunately, it's also just a tiny bit on the syrupy side. The soft violet, iris, amarena sour cherry, tart bergamot & fresh ivy notes make up for it & the result smells quite a bit like my German grandmother’s Kirschsuppe sour cherry soup (w/ a side of licorice). Speaking of grandma, I'm pretty sure LL was (somewhat ironically) inspired by Guerlain's very mature L'Heure Bleue. I will update after I try them side by side to test my theory.

such a beautiful, moody and unique fragrance- genuinely one of a kind. lolita lempicka somehow balances sweet, woody, vanilla, fresh and musk all in one perfume. for years i tried to find something that came close, that evoked the feelings that this perfume gave me as a young child and i never found anything quite like it. after years of searching, i decided to finally make the investment and for the first time in a while, i'm not regretting making a big purchase. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

Sweet, woody, spicy and floral. A beautiful feminine mix. The original and the 2021 remake aren’t much different from each other at all. The only thing is, the original is stronger, a little sweeter. While 2021 has I pinch more of an orris musk. Overall super good <3

It's the hottest day of the year so far here in Ohio, USA (96 degrees!), and I am so happy I picked LL to wear to work today. It's cool, sweet, powdery, calm, and femme. The perfect antidote to prickly-hot, sweaty, humid weather!

it’s a pretty and spicy floral licorice scent. inoffensive and mass appealing, not groundbreaking. i was expecting something a bit more unique given the notes, but this is still very nice and wearable

This is such an unusual mix, but it’s beautiful. I would never look at anise, liquorice and violet and think it would smell this feminine. Performance is decent enough - not too weak, not too strong. I only have a travel size bottle, but I would stretch to a full size. It smells unlike any other perfume I’ve smelled. None of the (non-Lolita Lempicka) perfumes identified above smell like it.

I used this scent all throughout high school. It's a fresh, powdery and feminine scent. Sometime reminds me of tic tacs. I love it!

This is unlike anything in my collection. It deserves all the praise it gets. It is creamy, soft-spicey, and a little bit earthy underneath. It's absolutely delicious and there isn't a single thing I don't like about it.

She is TRUE magnificence. Polarizing for those who don’t get it. Iconic for those who do; the reformulation should be classified as first degree murder! This is a wonderland for Violet/Iris, licorice lovers, the green of it like the lilac woods of the last unicorn. You will hardly find ANYTHING that compares to this dazzling gem. Closest dupe to 1997 is dancing night from Cyzone not listed here on fragrantica. Le parfum is more like LE IMPOSTER. Buy vintage or run the risk of never knowing this perfume!

I blind bought it due to the affordable price, notes and the amazing reviews. It just smelled like a standard air freshener, fresh but sharp and astringent.

This is a review for the current reformulation. To be honest, I don't pick up any note except for the anise. Not even the licorice. No cherry, no violet, no iris, no praline, no vanilla, none of the overpromised fairy tale spirit and whimsy I had hoped for. I wouldn't say it smells bad, but it's definitely a letdown.

Well-blended fragrance! I have to try really hard to pick out the individual notes. Sometimes I catch the anise, sometimes the powder and sweetness underneath, and a lovely floral scent that doesn't overwhelm like most white florals tend to do.

the first time i smelled this was in a tester i received when i was 11, while i was going through a really intense Phantom of the Opera phase. I was convinced that THIS is what the Phantom would've smelled like. for years after, i couldn't remember the name of it, and ultimately got it mixed up with Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck (due to the bottle similarity). after recently purchasing a dupe of Wonderstruck, i realised something was wrong. thankfully for a perfume tiktok, i was FLASHBANGED with images of Lolita Lempicka and i have never purchased a fragrance so fast in my life. when i sprayed the bottle this morning, a tear fell from my eye. now that my frontal lobe and taste for fragrance has developed, i very strongly disagree with my 11 year old self for even considering that the Phantom would wear something like this, but boy, does my heart SING when i smell it. to my nearing-30 year old nose, it still provokes the innocent fantasy and 11-year-old desire towards the masked opera man that i felt, so many years later. cannot explain my joy. thank you magazine lolita lempicka tester, thank you tiktok, and thank you phantom of the opera.

Fell in love with it when I started wearing it on HOT spring days…I discovered the unbeatable rush of smelling like a forest when everything else around you is scorching hot, you become your own oasis. My signature in the past few years, To most people this one doesn’t really register as something they can grow up together with, but in my opinion this is for anyone ages 14-35 if they’re a little freaky and like spooky things: It’s saving grace is that it isn’t toothache sweet, it’s sweetness is contained and in the middle ground, the forest is in the foreground. It doesnt last long but when I want to smell like a corpse ditched in the forest I spray this over Black Orchid. The only thing I really hate about this is that as your bottle gets older it starts to smell like a generic green men’s perfume

Ordered this after thinking about getting it for a year. It’s hard to explain, it’s not at all a similar century it has the same general vibe as my previous, discontinued signature, Tokyo Milk Dark No. 85 Novocaine. It reminds me of the rock opera Dolls of New Albion, or the Pokemon Megearna. Very… macabre Victorian steampunk. A bit cold despite being spicy. Very interesting, and probably my new signature.

I love this scent, to me it’s this warm, cosy sweet aura which keeps on whiffing cuddles clouds! I find this experience unique to this fragrance ! It’s an intimate relationship those whiffs, longevity is fantastic, so is the projection !

One of my blind buys that i regret. Heavy and flowery. I dont get any cherry nor licorice. Idk, for some reason I was hoping for something whimsical, fairy-like, but all I get from this is old autie smell. Not old-lady like, but just boring and dated. If you try to imagine the most generic "cheap and strong perfume i smelt long time ago" this is it. Dissapointing and boring. I cant see myself wearing it.

Used to be my signature scent before they ruined it with the reformulation. Finished three bottles of it during my teenage years. It's my favourite. If you're looking for a dupe, check Dancing Night by Cyzone. It smells pretty similar.

Cold violet, burnt sugar, anise, and a wood cabinet. I don't get licorice or cherry. I smell most of the base notes. It's a cohesive blend where individual notes don't jump out very loudly. It's soft and powdery but not overly so either. Very paradoxical and hard to place. Unique. My sample might be older and not the newer formulation which sounds to be more cherry leaning. In the '90s, there was a klutz-like kit for children where you could make lip balms and it came with some fragrances that you could add to them. This smells a bit like one of those fragrances!

Lolita Lempicka smells like a forest witch who shops at Sephora. One spray and suddenly I’m standing in an enchanted woodland wearing velvet, holding a poisoned apple, and contemplating whether I should hex someone or flirt with them. Possibly both. The opening hits like a bowl of candied violets that’s been spiked with absinthe. There’s licorice. There’s anise. There’s a suspiciously sweet cherry note that feels like it’s hiding something. It’s whimsical, but also slightly unhinged - like a Disney princess who’s had enough and is now embracing her villain era. Then the ivy and florals creep in, it feels like being gently strangled by a very polite vine. It’s green, it’s sweet, it’s floral, it’s herbal - it’s basically a botanical garden that’s decided to become seductive. As it settles, the vanilla and praline arrive, and suddenly the whole thing becomes a dessert that learned witchcraft. It’s warm, it’s cozy, it’s sweet, but it still has that “I know ancient spells and I’m not afraid to use them” energy. The dry down is pure nostalgia: vanilla, musk, and the faint whisper of a fairy who’s definitely judging your life choices. Do I feel like a mystical seductress wearing it? No. I feel like a chaotic woodland creature who’s been given a makeover by a glam squad. It’s iconic. It’s weird. It’s whimsical chaos wrapped in a purple bottle.

That girl. She is that girl, and I am that girl when I wear her. 11/10. Divine. Feminine. Sexy. Magical. Whimsical. Addicting.

The version of Lolita Lempicka that I own is the second version from Pacific Creations. I loved it and still do. I had sampled the original and it was a bit more vibrant but not remarkably different from the bottles I eventually bought. Today I sampled Regime des Flyers Himitsu Violets and my impression was how it reminded me of LL. If you think it is the violet note that you dislike, it might be worth seeking a sample of Himitsu Violets because it is completely violet focused, where LL is not. Lolita Lempicka is more complex and in some ways more subtle than HV. The base notes make a big difference in making LL more musky and smoky than Himitsu Violets. I have never noticed cherry in LL and there is definitely no praline. I never really got the forest fairy feel from it, but the marketing heavily influenced that idea. For me it is a spring and fall scent that gives an overall impression of a complex, slightly mysterious natural environment complete with trees, flowers, underbrush and filtered sunlight. Any age could wear it, but only a few men could pull it off. It is very feminine. I guess it depends a lot on which version you have. Except for the first one they are all available on the internet. In purchasing, the differences are on the bottom of the box where it gives the name of the distributor such as Pacific Creations. That information is on the bottle sticker too, but the print is tiny and usually not legible in a photograph.

you really need the first formulation to understand the magic. It's nothing like it used to be. this malicious purple fairy is dead, i sometimes use late 90s drops of her blood to remember her.

I was very curious about this one since a lot of people seem to like it. I very much agree with Sandra25. This does not smell bad but I think the violet throws me off. Majorly. This is like a flowery laundry detergent. I don't get sweetness in this at all. It's just very strange and kind of vintage smelling and not something I want to spray on my body. Pass.
