After watching every meaningful YouTube review, reading pages of comments on here and trying any notable dupe on the market, I finally booked an appointment at my local Louis Vuitton boutique. I am lucky that the flagship store is the closest one to me, and they have both the small and the large perfume displays, and are able to refill the perfumes as well. This being my first LV fragrance, I wanted to get the most versatile alongside good performance, so I tested every single fragrance they had on display. Of course I started with Imagination, and during my tour of the entire selection, I also considered City of Stars and L’Immensité, which also stood out with their scent. But I kept coming back to Imagination time and time again, so even though it might be the boring choice, I have to admit that this fragrance is worth every single praise and hype it gets. It is fresh, but very unique. The tea aspect sets it apart from other freshies, and the ginger and ambroxan is what gives it an edge and some creaminess, all on the same time. It leans masculine, but my wife instantly said that she would wear it as well. It is beautifully blended and you can smell the quality of the notes, compared to cheaper Middle Eastern fragrances. On top of that, it is a superb performer, especially for a fresh fragrance. I easily get 8-10 hours of longevity with solid projection, and even longer on clothes, with 4-6 sprays in total. So with fear of sounding like a broken record, this is simply a masterpiece, that every fragrance enthusiast should consider. Yes, it is pricey, but mostly the first time. After that the refill price is on par with a quality designer fragrance.

Imagination is over hyped. The price tag should be around $100.00. It is unique but the biggest disappointment is the longevity that was promised. I’d give it a decent longevity but you’re going to have to smell hard and be real intimate with someone to know it’s there past 40 minutes. Did a spray test over sprayed on a hot day absolutely no one could smell it on me after three hours of wear. Is that worth $360.00. Yes, before you assume it’s a fake, nope I bought it in the LV store at the mall in California. Again, good layering scene maybe worth right under $100.00

Smells like Elizabeth Arden: Green Tea with boosted citrus and price

It smells like soap. Its not bad per se, but that kind of scent just makes me think “oh I guess he just took a bath before arriving”, not that “its a nice fragrance”. I understand the hype, its a nice scent, but the issue for me its that the scent is kinda what you would get anyway from practicing basic hygiene. Its the feeling of redundancy that gets me.

The best fragrance of all time and extremely versatile also with refill isn’t super overpriced at all £150 which is excellent for a fragrance that will last you a lifetime.

It is worth the hype! Everyone in my office loves this scent so much. I've gotten compliments every day since I've been wearing Imagination. Planning to get 200ml version soon.

It literally smells like baby bath soap, to the point where it becomes almost unpleasant. I genuinely cannot understand why so many people consider it a masterpiece, when in my opinion it is probably one of the worst fragrances from Louis Vuitton.

Love it… but not quite worth the price for the scent you get. It's a soapy, clean fragrance — projection isn't very strong, but when you catch a whiff, you instantly know it's clean. That kind of scent. If your intention isn't to fill up your whole office room, this one is safe to blind buy.

Everything they say about Imagination is true. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it relatively simple? Yes. Is it overhyped? Maybe. But along with all of that… Does it smell amazing? Yes. Does it perform? Yes. Do people genuinely enjoy smelling it? Absolutely. For years, I was convinced it was overhyped and that a clone could do the job for a fraction of the price. And honestly, if budget is the deciding factor, I’d still tell someone to buy a good clone and enjoy it. Are there clones that are 90–95% accurate? Absolutely. But humans and chimpanzees are about 99% genetically similar, and yet that remaining 1% changes everything. That’s how I now think about Imagination. The clones capture the outline. The original captures the nuance. It’s the transitions, the texture, the balance, the way it moves throughout the dy. Small differences individually, but together they create something that feels unmistakably more complete. To anyone who says it’s just expensive citrus soap, I’d encourage you to get a sample and wear it for a full day when you’re out and about and social. Don’t analyze it for five minutes on a test strip. Live with it. Sometimes the magic isn’t in complexity. Sometimes it’s in how effortlessly something simple is executed.

DOES NOT live up to the hype. I always order a selection of samples (for this reason) and this was among my last batch. I will break this down for people wondering what it smells like: The base is an overpowering dryer sheet scent, *specifically* Bounce "Fresh linen". On top of that base, is the exact scent of Bath and body works "Mahogany Teakwood". To finish this fragrance off, add a moderate dose of chalky baby powder texture (without any fragrance, just the texture.) To blow it out of the water, quadruple everything above this statement so each note is chemically overpowering, then add an enormous dose of amber/ambroxan so it lasts forever and imparts a harsh dry scratchy texture to the inside of your olfactory gland. I wouldnt even use it as bathroom spray.

My most complimented scent from both genders. Very easy to wear , great in hot weather. I don't even find it to be a groundbreaking scent, but the way people react to it on me says otherwise. I personally go nose blind, but several times I have gotten compliments 10+ hours after application, 3 sprays at that too.

Don’t waste your money on this. I don’t get the hype maybe I am not boring enough but this fragrance is just an overpriced designer fragrance. Yes it is clean, yes it smells good but nothing special. If this was 60 euros I would recommend it but 300 euros no no no!

You've just taken a shower at the Ritz-Carlton and you are now in the lobby sipping an Oolong Tea, that's what Imagination reminds me of. There's a reason Imagination is so highly regarded, it smells amazing and it can be worn anywhere and everywhere. I also feel like the combination of tea, citrus, and soap gives a very relaxing quality to Imagination, it doesn't scream in your face, but it also doesn't silently become a skin-scent within 1 hour. Seriously i think this scent is fantastic for longevity and projection for a fresh/clean smell. An absolute brilliant fragrance, primarily a day-time scent

Amazing smell, it's just so clean and easy to wear, without being boring at all. It's not a generic blue fragrance, the tea makes it so rounded and refined. Even if the performance it get with it isn't as good as many people say it is for them, it's still one of my favorite fragrances due to the lovely tea citrus profile, which I enjoy in general. I would recommend Nishane Wulong-Cha X to anyone who likes this for it's tea aspect, it's even more tea forward, and less hyped/worn, if you don't want to smell like everyone else.

I bought (2) 5ml decants and went through them super quick so I ordered a bottle from the LV website and my first several wears didn’t project or last worth a dam*. I was extremely disappointed. I left the lid off my bottle and wore the fragrance maybe once every week or two. After maybe 2-3 months I noticed a dramatic improvement in its performance that was validated by the increase of compliments I received at work. 6 months later and I’m down to 40ml left 😆 This is such a dumb reach and after 3 years in the frag game I finally found a worthy signature scent. The hype is real

I have acquired new bottle (from LV) as my 2023 is empty. 2026 batch is terrible performance wise. 2023 was a beast, 2026 feels like it’s watered down. Definitely reformulated.

A nice freshie. The scent profile is definitely luxurious and clean. I found the performance to be lacking but this is also true for most fresh fragrances on my skin. Imagination is definitely overhyped and the price is not worth the lack of performance. Overall the scent is very pleasant and very easy to wear in the summer months.

OVER HYPED ! OVER PRICED! This is a woman’s fragrance! I’ve smelled this or similar scents before on woman that I’ve met, even my gf smelled this on my wrist and said that’s something that she would wear. Very light scent , citrus in the opening , when it drys down all I mainly smell is the black tea/ambroxan , it does project well, does last a long time, but it’s nothing special like people make it seem, definitely not worth $380! I would recommend this to the girls out there , but if you like manly scents, this ain’t it.

I actually dont have a full bottle of this i have a 10ml sample. This fragrance is just so ehh. You get about 6 hours of longevity with half that for projection. Unless you have bags of money lying around its a wast of money. Better LV fragrances. 1:1 dupes exist (myokonos inception, bujerami hectic) and so many better options for 350$ or less. 6.5/10

Extremely MID fragrance. I told my wife this was the most hyped LV fragrance and when she smelled it she actually said "thats it?" Thats this fragrance in a nutshell. It smells fine but for the price and all the glaze it really is a super mid frag. There are fragrances that cost 150 dollars that are better than imagination. Its boring, uninspired and simple. I actually think its one of the worst LV frags and I dont really think any of them are worth what LV charges.

Anytime, any place, any occasion. Absolutely goated if it were not for the price tag. It's a lifelong scent that would put me in lifelong debt. So instead I switched to Arabiyat Prestige Marwa and it's literally 1 to 1. If I had infinite money though I'd stock up on a lifetime supply of LV imagination.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about LV Imagination. Any season, any time of day. I guess the thing I enjoy most about Imagination is that it's a simple enough scent, that it opens up a lot of possibilities for layering. Maybe I'm wrong about it's simplicity that allows for dynamic layering option. Who knows. I know this scent is hammah and if I want to smell clean at any point for any reason, I can reach for this without hesitation.

I have great respect for LV releasing fragrances''for men' and fragrances 'foe women'.Many houses go the unisex route to maximize profit. But true perfumer masters prefer to create fragrances for certain people and that often includes a certain type of woman or man. Of course you can wear any fragrance you want. I'm talking about perfumers often vision a person in their creations.
