Ombre Nomade

Right after spraying, there is a strong dominance of dark notes of oud, smoke, and leather. As time passes, however, the sweeter facets of rose, raspberry, and saffron gradually come to the forefront, while the darker elements remain in the background, adding depth and character. It is a rich, complex, and profound fragrance. Anyone who considers this perfume unpleasant should probably change hobby, because they clearly have no understanding of fragrances whatsoever. It is surprisingly wearable all year round, provided that you adjust the number of sprays and keep it mainly for evening occasions during the warmer summer months.

Did not smell on my skin well. I could not smell any geranium nor raspberry. The rose is well present, with the oud but nothing special. I am just being honest here. I dont care about the brand. I was comparing it with my other hand with amouage jubilation 40, and you can clearly see how amouage develop and takes you to places. Rating this one 5/10

LV's Ombre Nomade is an opulent oud and rose fragrance by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. This smells incredible in the air and I love the performance of this fragrance on my skin. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. If you enjoy oud as I do, you gotta get your nose on this.

smells good on paper but on skin it’s absolutely dog shit

I tried this, I liked parts of it. But it has a powdery scent to it that makes it unwearable for me. Very strong and lasted all day easy with only a couple sprays from the sampler bottle.

this is a very beautiful, complex oud - smoky oud with rose and some sweetness BUT my first time smelling experience was ruined by two french dudes at Istanbul airport - they came and sprayed 5-6 perfumes on themselves in a row, 10 times each. The whole store was stinking and i couldnt breathe yes the LV line is beautiful but wear it MODERATELY

This isnt my usual scent profile but idk why I like it so much. This is one of the best oud scents to my nose its perfectly blended and I can smell the other notes clearly as its not overwhelming. I will 100% wear this a lot in winter.

What a beautiful scent. The hype is deserved. Incredibly overpriced though. There is no way to justify charging $455-$630 for smelly water no matter how good it smells.

A beautiful buttery-smooth amber oud; elegance personified. It's a dark scent without being oppresively heavy; I have no idea where the hate for this I'm seeing here is coming from but if you actually like perfumes, this is a stellar pick (provided you have so little respect for your money that you'd pay the MSRP without blinking).

Listen. I know. I understand. I know how much you wanna shy away from praising this extremely popular gem even further because of the attention it has received from all these consumerist adolescents on tiktok who only pivot towards performance but refuse to ever break down its composition from the perfumer’s perspective. Hypothetically assuming that this was LV’s attempt to garner the attention of wealthy middle eastern customers, the sales can confirm they unfortunately succeeded. Greatly. Ombre Nomade somehow reiterates the previously nauseating mix of “something sweet+ oud” but does it in a refined crisp way that undoubtedly feels french. Raspberry ? Seriously? With fake oud ? That feels oddly fresh yet smoke- heavy ? I dont know. I think the dusty nature of the synthetic oud here is lifted and polished so effervescently it makes me crave drinking this bottle let alone dousing my wrinkled shirt in it. After market copies and fakes could never capture this masterpiece’s luminosity. Very opulent.

On my skin it smells like burned plastic with some spices, floral notes and burned wood. Never buying it, for sure. 2/10

Technically speaking, this is quite a remarkable scent, but the mere fact that every douche bag and w***er can buy and wear this, while thinking he is the hottest thing since 50 Cent (the rapper), he now comes across as 50 Cent (the currency of cheap)! Given this monster of a scent has become THE most copied and ripped off formula in this fruity oudh 2020ies era. I used to like it, now I hate it. Perhaps, it's also got to do with the fact, that I had worked for LV and every other man was asking for this product. I wanted so desperately explain and tell the stories of the other great concoctions of J.C.Belletrude, but I was bein dismissed. I worked in a large Maison with several floors. Believe me when I say, that the entire building smelled of that stuff. It was everywhere.....you dreamt of it and it was with you at all times. Today, I cannot smell it any longer for it is so penetrant and invasive, like Japanese Knotweed or Donald Trump's endless word salads. There is definitely more to modern perfumery than gourmand fruity oudhs (this one has this inescapable raspberry note) but I predict this monster to continue to sell like hot cakes for another good 5 years.

Whoa---Cacao-rubber-leather-florals explode in the very beginning. I realize neither cacao or leather are in the notes list, but that is how it presents for the very first moment. Quickly dries down to a rubber-y floral, which I assume is the oud and incense combining with the rose and saffron. The immediate opening was a lot more interesting than the dry down 2 minutes in. Complexity and subtlety are there though, the LV scents I have tried so far are made much better than your typical designer fragrance. Still, I'll be really surprised if this is a winner for me. I can respect it, but I don't think I would wear it. Dark and dry, not sweet. The 'rubber' note is not one I appreciate, and it is the dominant note here. UPDATE: One hour in, I used soap to remove this from my wrists. Not a fan of that enduring rubber note.

Miss the good old days when oud, incense, smoke, dark and dank wasn't the symbol of the "rich". The fragrance industry went downwards when it started prioritizing the rich gulf arabs over ACTUAL taste...

Heavy smoke, leather, and a bit of saffron. Great fragrance if you like these notes, but can be pretty suffocating. If you hate these notes, you're gonna hate this fragrance, and probably most Oud fragrances in general. For me, NOT safe to wear, but it's fun to smell something you can't wear. 6/10

rose smell is overpowering and the oud smells synthetic

smells like a filthy rich arabic's guy that always gonna impress you, oud here is not barny type of oud because the roses and raspberry. if you never had an oud fragrance and looking for one. this is the answer Projection : 9/10 Sillage : 10/10 Longevity : 10/10

Where. Do. I even. Begin... I like my coffee black, whiskey neat, and my family aint selling our 3rd generation land. You might drive a Harley or saddle a mustang. One might even become CEO overnight on this. Not sure about all the Arab stuff, never been there. Scent 12/10 - upfront aromas of incense/oud perfectly followed up with a smooth yet alluring blend of the smokey rose and raspberry. The first couple times you think OK, but then you keep smelling it and you're like wtf is this magic. Wish I had more occasions to wear this to; It IS niche but lovely and bold. No hiding here folks

A perfume that has many fans and many detractors. I'm on the fan side. Oud isn't always a good thing. But in this one, it's beautifully blended with the sweetness of rose and raspberry. And then there's oud, and then there's oud. The incense and benzoin subtly push it forward. Is it unisex? Of course not. It's purely masculine. But it's a serious, winter scent. Long-lasting and lingering. (See: Tony Soprano) It probably smelled like this. RIP

i was planning a trip to asia and was considering wearing ombre nomade as my day time signature, going easy on the trigger since it is usually warm over there. i think how people find this scent to be depends on which part of the world you wear this to. if you wear this in the west people will think you stink and in need of a shower, but in other parts like the middle east and asia, people will think you smell like a king and royalty. i think less is more woth ON, you probably don’t need more than 2-3 sprays of this no matter the situation.

Ombre Nomade is a beast, please do us all a favor and don't wear it in summer 😂 I got my hands on only on a sample from LV, because no way I would be able to use up all 100ml bottle. It's very strong, 2-3 sprays are pretty enough at it will last you the whole day. I saw same people are recommending Gashionably London Elixir from Zara as a dupe but for me compared to the OG from Luis Vuitton it's smells synthetic to me. Hard to explain. The vibe is there for sure, but also some kind of cheap feeling is coming from most of Ombre Nomade dupes. Some ending up smelling like a gasoline. The only dupe I don't get this cheap sharpness is the Ombre from Viral Parfums. I also got just a sample, because once again it's so strong and powerful that 2-3 sprays are enough and their version is freaking similar and smells same way luxurious and expansive. No cheapie undertones. Anyway if you are thinking about Ombre Nomade, original or dupe always try the sample first! This perfume can be too much for many people and dupes can end up smelling too sharp, synthetic or like gasoline. So sample first, always 💯

On paper the drydown is gorgeous and probably the best smelling fragrance on the market but on my skin, I only get the arsh opening with only this animalic oud, so before you buy it test it on skin because unfortunately for me it does suit my skin

Headache in a bottle. It overwhelms everything.

I had this perfume for so long but in recent batches, it became softer than what it to be, knowing that I bought it from duty free from Dubai. I had to eventually get a dupe from oudspot.ca and it was honestly much better than what I had expected, it reminded me of when it originally was released. In the past, there was one batch code that I cannot recall that was extremely good but not sure what has changed.

Raspberry? Lol. Even the rose is whispering. The incense and benzoin are the strongest note imo. Followed by the saffron, oud, and amberwood. The flowers are extremely faint. I love rose and was given a bunch of LV samples. I was so sad when the Les Sables Rose vials finished and moved on to this one. I can tolerate it because I have a strange affinity for smoke and incense but I wouldn't buy a bottle. Les Sables Rose however. I wish I could take a bath in it. I want to be that fragrance.

Dark, sweet, Amberous. This is a profile that is normally never love on first scent, but something keeps pulling you to that tester strip or your hand where you initially sprayed it. After a few more visits, your nose begins to change. Your chemistry begins to evolve and expand. You tell yourself “not as bad as I remember” convincing yourself to get a 5ML decant to test it on a full wear. Little did you know you were already trapped in Jacques Cavallier’s web. There is no escape. Le Sables Roses is still my personal favorite, but as she is smooth and comforting, her older brother Ombré Nomade is bold and daring. Louder and unapologetic. Scent profile: 9.5 Sillage: enormous Projection: room filling Personal rating: 9.5/10 Two sprays is enough for any occasion.

My cousin gave me this frag to try it and i was not disappointed, i was shocked that it was almost the same as Zara fashionably london elixir, not promoting of course. It is an amazing fragrance for rose/oud lovers, but i did not get a lot of oud in this, however it is a rose heavy scent, very strong which i appreaciate i love me some strong scents, longevity is great could last you the whole day. The biggest con is the price. The price is shit, literal shit. If you ain't gonna pay 400 bucks for this. Just buy zara fashionably london elixir. Overall: 6/10 Good fragrance but not worth your money.
