Ooo this is nice! Hubby likes vanilla scents but I don't usually like gourmand ones, so I need my vanillas on the pure side. This is a great vanilla extract with a touch of subtle musk to elevate it. Dries very powdery. Can't wait to wear it in winter!

Beautiful, but simple vanilla. It reminds me A LOT of Khadlaj Cream Velvet, which is a fraction of the price! 9/10✨

It smells like christmas sugar cookies

This is a vanilla fragrance in its purest form. It's the closest to a real vanilla extract smell I've seen a perfume get. It's like a sophisticated vanilla that's airy and fluffy and yummy. There's a DNA in there that reminds of me Amore Caffè. It's like Amore Caffè without the coffee and thick milkiness. 8/10

I could bathe in this of it wasn't so expensive. My bottle is almost gone and I need to get a new one immediately. This scent is absolutely STUNNING. It dazzles me when I wear it. It makes me feel like a 👑 queen. It's so delightful and sexy. Sweet but not cloying. A masterpiece.

this is a beautiful, airy, “simple” vanilla. while I don’t think it would be a favorite for someone who looks for depth and darkness in a fragrance, it is THAT girl for anyone looking for something light, fluffy, and ethereal. one of my favorites! beautifully musky as well- perfect to balance the sweetness. LOVELY 10/10

If you were a Warm Vanilla Sugar lover in the 90s-2000s like I was then this is the perfect vanilla for you. It’s a lovely sweet brown sugar vanilla, with great lasting power since it is an extrait. I’ve been told I smell like cupcakes wearing this. Love it!!!!

Smells like a lovely and good quality, warm vanilla candle. There’s a little depth giving it a toasted sugar quality. Even though the quality is there, it’s too linear at this price point for me personally. If I was a total vanilla girl with a bigger bank account I’d totally splurge. But I also feel like you can achieve this profile easily for much less.

its a reasonably sweet, well blended and nice fragrance but my god is it boring and simple, nothing ever happens here, its just vanilla and sugar. if you are woman who wants to smell nice then ok i guess, but for enthusiasts no. in any case, i dont think the price is justified. i would much rather go for rosendo 5 for example

Simple but great brown sugar and vanilla scent. I would not wear it in this heat that we have here right now but in the winter it will be so nice. My only complaint, and this is the case with most other Maison Mataha fragrances, is that it doesn't project very well on me.

Such a yummy and addicting fragrance, it’s a warm and toasty vanilla, it smells like spun sugar but more mature and complex. Personally, I don’t get any play dough from this but I tend to love perfumes that people complain smell like play dough lol

To my nose, this smells as if someone has creamed white sugar and vegetable shortening together and then added an enormous dose of aged vanilla extract. It's delicious, but in a fatty almost suffocating way to me. I think it'd be delicious on a cozy day, but I can imagine getting overwhelmed in hot weather.

I smell almond in this for some reason. It reminds me of Lush' snowcake soap.

Unfortunately, this one smelled like sweet playdoh on me. I liked the scent when I sniffed it out of the bottle but it just doesn’t work with my body’s chemistry I guess. I’ve had the same experience with Tihota as well 💔

As someone who's very picky with scents, I ADORE THIS! It smells like vanilla soft serve and waffle cone, sweet and delectable but also soft enough for year long wear! (If you spray a responsible amount of course)

This is AMAZING. Out of the six samples I bought this one was the only one that actually blew me away. Contrary to popular belief this actually doesn’t smell like the burnt sugar topping of a creme brûlée (actually maybe a bit but there’s nothing burnt about it, it’s just sweet and creamy). To my nose it smells like a high quality vanilla and caramel gelato accompanied by baristas making coffee in the background. Smelling this was so nostalgic to when I would go to the gelato shops as a kid in Italy. It’s so creamy and airy at the same time that it doesn’t bother my nose which is so important for me. I am obsessed with it and can’t wait to test it out fully when the time comes. It smells so high quality too and it’s so strong!!! Also, this is what I literally expected Bianco latte to smell like lol. It deserves the hype that BL gets. This is actually addictive and enticing whereas BL is meh.

I used to torch up creme brûlée for a living and the top notes of this really take me back. The dry down is nice and airy. I’m not sure if it’s perfumey enough that I can wear it outside of the house? It smells like an expensive hand cream you’d buy at Nordstrom and it wouldn’t moisturize your hands at all.

This is one of those dislike to love journey for me. Upon first spray, this is very underwhelming. I almost couldn’t smell anything at all, but then I let it settle and thought “something smells very nice”. Sweet without being cloying. I really love this once it warms up on skin. I think this will be great for layering as well. I don’t get the Bianco Latte comparison. I find BL nauseating. Sharp and synthetic. This is smooth and sweet. It’s a bit simple for its price point but I think it does smell like expensive vanilla. I’m very picky with my vanilla, especially with it being a popular note at the moment, there are way too many sub par, cheap smelling vanillas out there. I wouldn’t recommend people to purchase it unless you are obsessed. On me, this scent is eternal and doesn’t go away until laundry day.

really nice sugary vanilla scent. it is my most expensive perfume but I do not regret buying it, i smell delicious with it on.

Escapade Gourmande has a caramel and creamy vanilla sweetness that promises something rich and indulgent - and the drydown does eventually deliver something warmer and more interesting. But the opening synthetic burnt sugar note is hard to get past and takes too long to resolve. A fragrance that keeps you waiting for a payoff that arrives a little too late.

This smells just like Hot Cakes by SNIF to me. It is ok. But all I get is maple syrup. I don’t want to smell like breakfast all day. And I think it is super overpriced for what it is.

I’m sorry but to me this just smelt horrendously like playdough, like when you first opened the pot and you were overloaded with that cheap plastic aroma. I’m not sure why this is hyped at all. I never write reviews, I just quietly allow others to enjoy their own olfactory experiences, but for me this was the only vanilla I have ever truly disliked. It is also the only perfume I have ever moved on, even perfumes that I don’t enjoy at first, I spend time with, learn to appreciate for their own unique facets. This was a pure no, please go, I hate it experience. When there is unique vanillas like spirtuese double vanille or VP on the market I have no idea why anyone would spend nearly 170 pounds on this cheap rubbish.

Smells exactly like french vanilla bean philosophy shower gel. Mega sweet brown sugar and fake vanilla and it's even kinda soapy in the same way as the shower gel. It ok

48/100 i don’t get sweet. it’s more “glittery” and gold like. like a luxurious woman, but it’s more mature. it has a makeup-y vibe. the vanilla in the back really reminds me of the smokey vanilla from victoria secret

I really love this perfume, however, it’s a bit too straightforward for the price. There are plenty of more affordable options that achieve the same scent profile.

Lovely, girly, fluffy, sweet scent. Not sure why, but the first spray reminded me of almonds or marzipan. Then the sweet vanilla kicks in, but not the sickening sweet. Wish longevity would be better. Great scent profile, easy to love and wear.
