Aldebaran

Wow. What a gorgeous uplifting tuberose. Very creamy, slightly spicy, just beautiful. Milky and slightly mothbally. This is my 2nd favorite tuberose after Carnal Flower. Someone said there’s a cooling effect to this and I agree. Smelling this makes me feel like I bathed in cold milk. 9.4/10

Having gone through 2 bottles of SL Tubereuse Criminelle 15+ years ago, I don't find Aldebaran polarizing or weird at all. I used to love the camphorous/mothball facet of TC, but it faded way too soon and left me frustrated with its weak staying power. I wanted that opening to last forever. Aldebaran solves that problem. Love.

I love Bisch. I love challenging scents. I love medicinal scents. I just cannot get past that this smells exactly like mothballs. Like the ones my Maltese and Italian family would have in their wardrobes growing up to stop moths and other pests damaging the clothes. The smell would be overpowering in any house that used these products. I used to hate going to houses that had them as a kid. Idk if this is just a me-association spoiling an otherwise great fragrances. @ombrebray: yeah, its mothballs. Man, I wish I smelt this before I smelt mothballs so I thought mothballs smelt like Aldebaran rather than the other way around.

Masterpiece. I begin to think that Quentin makes perfumes personally for me.He is behind Everything I love.

Love it, hate it? Subjective. What is objective to me is this is true niche perfumery.

This smells like old olives and envelope adhesive.

Very creamy and milky. Actually reminds me somewhat of one of those bottled flavored milks, hovering somewhere between a vanilla or a banana flavored one. People who don't usually like tuberose for it's big white floral aspects are definitely safe to check this one out. It's super easy to identify what and where the tuberose is here but it's a completely different aspect of it brought out. Not turbo-perfumey white floral, not super tropical like it sometimes goes, but fully embracing all of it's creamy qualities as the focal point. The tuberose and the tonka I find to be the 2 notes that actually stand out to be identifiable in a familiar way at first, with the pimento and mate being blended well enough to just modify the creaminess of the tuberose in a way that isn't immediately detectable as either of those notes. As it continues to dry you do kind of get a fresh peppery smell from the pimento in a bit more of an obvious way. Really good, really unique and interesting.

I get super strong chemical/hospital like smell with lot of peppers. Unwearable to me.

Super interesting and oddly cool-feeling tuberose. It’s a unique take on a summer floral.

I guess it is love or hate...for me it is the latter, i hate it so much :( harsh tuberose with paprika and mate gives me an instant headache. Unfortunately it is very hard to wash it off.

Smells like dip exactly

I really like this. Kind of reminds me of the Eve Lom cleansing balm, there's a slight tigerbalm vibe as well. The tuberose is really strong at the start which is my least favourite aspect but it quickly becomes weirdly medicinal (which I love). The staying power is INSANE. I did one spray on my wrist yesterday, slept, had a shower, washed my hands numerous times, sprayed on another perfume and STILL I'm getting wafts of it. It's now mostly a creamy tuberose but even the herbal notes still occasionally make their appearance. Bonkers perfume.

Smells like 10% tuberose and 90% bacon chips

I finally bought a bottle. This is a hall of fame perfume for me. This perfume can’t really be explained in words. You need to smell it yourself. By the way, if for whatever reason you happen to be visiting French lick in Indiana, there is a very famous hotel there (can’t remember the name right now). In one of the rooms on the first floor which is available to the public (it’s a meeting room or something, with a long table and many chairs), there is a smell being emmited from that room that is nearly identical to Aldebaran. I don’t know what is making it smell like this perfume, but please check it out

The Other Side of Tuberose In perfumery, tuberose is one of my favorite white floral themes. Among white flowers, it is one of the fuller ones: rich in floral scent, creamy, and easily bringing out powdery, honeyed, fleshy nuances, as well as the humid, heated feeling of a flower blooming at night. Full, bright, and opulent. This tuberose presents another side of tuberose, one that is less often amplified. Right after spraying, the floral scent of tuberose appears quickly, followed by a layer of cold green aroma, like herbal tea or a hint of minty medicinal balm. It is a milky white-petaled tuberose with plant sap and a slight medicinal quality. The most distinctive part of this fragrance is its bitterness and herbal quality. That bitterness is very important. It pulls the tuberose away from the usual sweet, cloying impression, making the floral scent drier and colder, with a touch of astringency and spice. Of course, precisely because of this, people’s opinions on it will vary. Those who like traditional tuberose may not necessarily like it. People who can accept herbal bitterness, spice, and cool-toned white florals will more easily recognize what makes it special. It presents the cooler green, medicinal, and vegetal aspects of tuberose very well. Both projection and longevity are very strong. One spray is already enough.

Tuberose with a side of extra camphor. Feels savory. For those who want a less sweet carnal flower. Perfectly unisex. Difficult but definitely overhated, smelling this with your bose against skin is too intense, you should smell it in the air.

This truly evokes the scene of waking up in a serial killer's dark damp dungeon and smelling rubbery burnt flesh and hair... but also something kind of good at the same time that I can't identify. I feel like a very scary person would wear this. Think the "Mystery Man" from the david lynch movie Lost Highway. Truly "avant garde"

So addictive! In the drydown, there is a deep similarity with Carnal Flower, a masterpiece by Frederic Malle (perfumer Dominique Ropion). Obviously, due to the clear presence of high-quality tuberose.

If you want to blind buy this because of tuberose, don`t. It`s very surreal and avant garde interpretation of tuberose, you will not smell the actual flower. First 30 minutes is just a scent of the ointment that you apply when you have soar muscles and also very similar to what Thai massage parlors smell like because of the special muscle ointment they use. I appreciate the artistry, creativity and the braveness to launch this as tuberose perfume.

If snow had a scent it would be this. If you are familiar with the book The Snow Queen, this is what I'd expect her to smell like. It's ice, cold, winter. It also reminds me of being sick as a child and your parents caring for you and the scent of medicine and herbal stuff in the air as you read comics in bed

god do i hate this parfume. if you get past the tuberose, you can catch an enjoyable, spicy, softly earthy, bittery scent of the pimento and mate. however, you choke during your attempt. it is like you are under a ton of tuberose flowers in scorching hot sun and are cannot get out. one spray fills a room.

Aldebaran is not a gentle or innocent tuberose on me. It is dark, deep, and very powerful. Even a sprayed paper strip filled the whole trunk of my car so strongly that I thought something had leaked. That already tells you a lot about the projection and staying power. To my nose, this is a cold-evening tuberose. Not airy, not soft, not a fresh white floral. It feels rich, velvety, and very sensual. I imagine it on a woman in a low-cut dress, in low light, with strong presence. The tuberose feels juicy and saturated rather than airy. I get depth, shadow, and texture. In terms of mood, not smell, it reminds me of the evening atmosphere of Portrait of a Lady. Not because they smell alike, but because they share that same dressed-up, magnetic elegance. If you want an easy, delicate tuberose, this may feel too much. But if you want tuberose with darkness, presence, and real impact, Aldebaran is very impressive.

Smells like non minty toothpaste on the opening. Once it settles it mellows out a bit but you won’t forget you’re wearing it.

I’ve never sniffed one but it’s what I imagine a urinal smells like. This stuff made me gag. That’s never happened before. 🤮

Wow. Hot & spicy chilli tuberose. Smells like a super bougie muscle rub that contains capsaicin. Very unusual & I want it. Lasts eternally on clothes. This will layer great with my "Deep Heat" rub LOL.

On my skin it smells like crushed daffodils.
