I can absolutely see why this scent profile is so polarizing. I feel like you either love it like it or hate it personally, i can live with it, but I could see how I wouldn’t like it either definitely not blind by safe. However, I did snag 100 mil bottle at an incredible price

Super amber bomb! May keep cockroaches away, which is actually a good thing.

Oh wow. I was hoping for a smoky leather scent. This is really strong creosote (buildup inside the walls of a fireplace) and vanilla-y benzoin. Still going strong on my husband 12 hours later. Not sure why anyone would want to smell like this. Sorry - not for me.

Анонім

My scent of the day, and probably the best leather out there.

Elegant ambery leather fragrance that is built around a Russian leather accord (birch tar). It is warm, elegant, and very very ambery (as the labdanum with the benzoin give you an amber accord). I'd say the Extrait version is more of a leather fragrance and this one is more of an amber fragrance. I have both but I prefer the Extrait, but they're both rather linear. A video review and comparison is available on my YT ▶️

safe and pretty. on me this reads way more as an airy musky scent with amber aura than a leather. shallow frag with luminescent depth to it. she is nice and maybe my favourite mp i’ve smelled so far but she does not excite.

Nice warm spicy woody leather fragrance for man who wants to smell cool and masculine

The most perfect gritty fragrance. Hubby tried it on yesterday. We did not leave the bedroom for 5 hours. Yes, it’s that good. Hot asf! Performance: phenomenal easily 7-8 hours. Silage is cloud like and beautiful. Price is up there but reasonable for the best leather scent I’ve ever smelled. Oh, and this is so much sexier than Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. 🔥

A rough but kind way to signal for high self-esteem and antisocial personality disorder 9.5/10

Aside from oud, leather and suede are my favourite kinds of fragrance to wear. Oddly in both cases, I prefer them on me to smelling them on other people. I think that is why I love them so much: because they are totems to me confidently enjoying the way I smell. There is confidence to them that all my favourite fragrances have. I wear the subject of today's review because I like it, not because others might. Of all the leather-centric fragrances I own, my favourite is Jordi Fernandez's magnificent (and quite underrated) Stallion Leather by Carolina Herrera. I have his Stallion Leather Sirocco flanker on order as the safest blind buy in perfume history as well. They are wonderful fragrances. Anyone who follows my reviews will know how much I love Ombre Leather and especially the newer Eau De Ombre Leather flanker as well. But there is another, and it surpasses even the mighty Stallion Leather, for me. I do not own a full bottle yet because I have a 10ml tester of it but I absolutely will be buying it as a matter of urgency when that runs out. Falcon Leather by Matiere Premiere is a regal, imperious leather that dominates and I absolutely love it. I've commented in the past that Matiere have not done a single fragrance I've not enjoyed greatly and Aurelien Guichard basically walks on water as far as I am concerned as regards his creativity and nose. The house's famous raison d'être is to take one accord and to make a fragrance that is a study of an overdose on that central DNA. We see this nowhere better illustrated than with Falcon Leather; this deep, unctuous and golden concoction, that even looks beautiful from across the room. You can smell it with your eyes! That the overdose here is leather should come as no shock to anyone, but the way it is presented and delivered may surprise some. For an accord that is notoriously hard to do in a refined and non-rough way, the leather effect here is simply majestic. It comes sweeping across the open plain on the first opening like a shining white Lipizzaner. It isnt rough in the slightest. The leather feel is that gorgeous burst you get when you crack open the box on a brand new pair of Ariat or Lucchese boots. I own a couple of pairs and the similarity is striking. Anyone who has ever owned a pair knows what I mean. The blending is fantastic. There is some sweet saffron at the top that takes the harsh edge off the slightly campfire smoky birch tar and some labdanum adds the timeless shine. The oud in the base is your usual sandalwood base turned up several notches to allow it to anchor such a massively powerful mid. The saffron helps but the benzoin in the base does most of the heavy lifting to stop this going animalic and bitter and thus the rich, ambery sweetness is just a delight. Sillage is a surprisingly sweet frisson of the leather that goes richer and heavier the closer to the skin you get. Performance is characteristically strong and I get a solid 7-8 hours off Falcon Leather (with it projecting solidly the whole time) before it sinks like the setting sun over grassland into a skin scent that leans more into the benzoin and saffron, allowing the heavier birch tar mid to recede a bit. You wouldn't think birch tar and labdanum as a leather accord could or would be a sensual or sexy skin scent would you? Somehow it does manage it. Falcon Leather is a hugely popular fragrance here in the Middle East and it is the sort of big, powerful thing that folks here (me included) like. We don't really do wishy washy here. The Fragrantica notes say this is a "big shouldered fragrance for men with big shoulders" and I am nothing if not that guy. I think its wearability for women is a bit lower than for guys as the birch tar does push this undeniably masculine leaning, but a confident lady who enjoys very fine leather could smart/casual rock this with a pair of knee-high or good cowboy boots as it is (just about) unisex to me. Far less so than, for example Vanilla Powder, Encens Suave or Crystal Saffron by this house, but still unisex. Surprisingly (for me), for such a powerful and potentially divisive fragrance, Falcon Leather is a compliment magnet to an almost bewildering extent. If you wear this to a bar let alone a club you will have men and women floating and fawning in your sillage as you walk around. I think only Layton Exclusif reaches these levels of compliments for me. Three Word Summary - Leather Done Perfectly Layering Suggestion: Ebene Fume by TF to add some smokiness. Outfit Suggestion: Good jeans. This is all about the good jeans. You know the ones I'm talking about. Scent - 9/10 Drydown - 9/10 Sillage - 10/10 Bottle/packaging - 8/10 Performance - 9/10 45/50 - one of the strongest scores we've had for a while.

a more stronger Ombre Leather, with oud the drydown is nothing but OUD very offensive.. I dont get the hype for this scent and this brand either

Falcon Leather is a masterpiece in leather, amber and oud. The quality of the ingredients are so very evident with every whiff. I adore this on my husband. I also wear this and layer it with Le Labo Neroli 36 along with more vanilla forward scents. This fragrance feels rich and luxurious while still being super sexy. I find this to be beast mode so I always go lightly on the trigger.

The soft and taut natural smell of true quality hide... grooves of worn smooth leather broken in by the weight and sharp nature of what grips it. I feel both delicate and deadly wearing it. A magnificent experience. Sam Carlson from Close wears this.

I consider this fragrance a masterpiece, it is definitely not suitable for mass appeal or blind buying. It represents a man overflowing with testosterone, powerful, dark, and intensely masculine. It has a character that is both complex and straightforward at the same time. It evokes a man who drives a Range Rover, usually wears black suits, is deeply devoted to his work and family, yet remains tough, charismatic, and sharp-edged. To me, it also recalls the scent of the leather seats in an expensive luxury car. It may not appeal to everyone, but I believe women who are drawn to strongly masculine attitudes will absolutely love this fragrance. It is luxurious, smoky, dark, and smells like a man who means what he says, someone who dominates the room the moment he enters, commanding respect without a word.

Анонім

Heavy, nauseating and revolting, genuinely boring leather, tobacco and smoke. It’s quite unoriginal, but I suppose it’s been designed as the usual “masculine” crowd-pleaser so that’s probably not surprising.

Анонім

It opens with a sharp, piercing burst of saffron. As it settles, the saffron softens and a light touch of oud and resins begins to emerge, eventually giving way to a drydown where the resins take full control. The extrait leans distinctly resinous, while the EDP centers on the saffron-oud-resin triad.

I really love how saffron-forward this perfume smells on me! Yes, it's primarily a leather fragrance, but there's a gentle elegance and complexity here that makes Falcon Leather stand out from the pack. I find that it has nuclear longevity on skin and especially on clothing. In spite of being so potent, this is a leather perfume that avoids treading into the unfortunately all-too-common pitfalls of smelling obnoxious and/or overly busy. The innate luxury of saffron as a spice just elevates the experience of wearing Falcon Leather into a real treat for the senses. The particular leather accord utilized here is soft, supple, creamy, and smooth. I think a person of any gender presentation could wear this perfume with comfort and confidence. It's well suited to cold weather. While it does smell niche, I feel that it remains palatable to the masses and wears nicely in mixed company.

Just tried this one so this is a first impression, but this is a nice rugged smoky leather with a semi creamy background. In the same family as gucci guilty absolute but not the same profile. If you aren't a leather lover (I am) this is not for you, but if you like leather forward scents this would be a nice edition. It is also very smoky especially in the dry down, in a ashy sense, not in a tobacco leaf sense, which I again dig but not everyone will. It smells of quality, and is full masculine. One thing I like about the profile is it doesn't seem to be a massive projector, so you wont be bombing the room, but I am detecting a nice consistent scent bubble. I think the name suits this fragrance. Can't comment on longevity yet as it's a first impression but I will update. Edit: longevity is good, I get around 8 hours.

For those who are looking for a leather fragrance and enjoy this style, I think it’s a very good scent. But for me, the usage area is too limited. I don’t add fragrances like this to my collection.

Анонім

Very similar to Tuscan Leather, minus the raspberry note. I don't find this animalic, and the saffron is not prevalent. It's super leathery, smoky, with incense in the background. Very linear, which I don't mind in this case. Longevity is pretty great. I can still smell it at the end of the day, and I might be nose blind to it, but other people have told me it's strong many, many hours after applying, and I'm pretty light with application (2-3 sprays). I think if you're familiar with either Ombre Leather or Tuscan Leather you could safely blind buy this. I wanted a super leather dominant fragrance to round out my collection, and having recently tried Encens Suave, I was curious about this one, and not disappointed. Totally worth a shot. Scent 9/10 Longevity: 10/10 Projection: 8/10 Full bottle? Yes. If you're looking for a staple, go-to leather scent in your lineup, this is a solid bet.

In 2024, when I first got this fragrance, it grew on me crazily, to an extent I thought there's no other fragrance I liked more. And I thought this needed to be my signature. Hence I wore it more often in a row, than I usually did with any fragrance on rotation. Very strangely enough, my nose somehow got tired of it, at least at the moment. May be it can strike me infatuating again in future. My exceptional experience apart, this is a great oud offering from Matiere Premiere, with a prominent touch of birch tar, making it quite sexy for men and with very good performance. One of the best from the house, if you like birch tar. IG : @scentclouds YouTube : @scentclouds

Smells like dead fucking crushed up bugs and occasional huge wafts of acidic animal feces. This is probably what the Victorians used to smell like before hygiene was introduced to them. 2/10

If you want something that smells like a Lattafa but costs hundreds, this is your guy.

Different and boozy leather fragrance. Performance is not beast mode, u can safely use it on the office. I love it!

Анонім

This is not just smoky, this is the smell that you get in your nasal cavity when you grab a hefty bite from a piece of burnt wood, and you're wearing your favorite leather jacket. Masculine, dark, different, in your face, but a tad bit chemical. I'm very eager to test the Extrait as well.

Анонім

it appears to be a very smoky leathery scent, with an overdose of saffron that softens the leather note and the smoky, sharp aspect of birch tar. The dark side of the leather gradually evolves, becoming very velvety, very suede-like. It really has a combination of elements inside (the warm part from labdanum and the subtle spice from saffron) that creates a unique kind of elegance when worn. It also feels boozy to my nose, i’m not sure what it comes from
