Peche Cardinal

This is just okay to me. As someone who loves both peach and tuberose, I expected to love it. But this fragrance is VERY heavy and sweet, and the coconut note leans syrupy. It's too much. If it were lighter and airier, I'd like it more. As is, it feels dense rather than refreshing. For a peachy floral, it's too intense and overwhelming. The composition is crowded and loud. It's not bad; it's just not my style.

Peachy, powdery, creamy. Slightly more complex peach scent. Sweet but not cloying. I like it a lot!

Peche Cardinale is a much needed break from the plethora of popular leather & suede peachy perfumes in the market (Think Fleur Du Mal - DvN, Peche Mirage - Guerlain, Bitter Peach - TF, Vra Vra Vroom- Penhaligon's, Ylop-Sora Dora, etc). No hate, I do love them all and own most, yet for me this is a homecoming to finesse. An incredible, subtly green, distinctly tart peach, with delicate and luxuriously creamy coconut & tuberose notes. I swear that you wouldn't get this from a Phlur apricot mist mix, or Jo Malone fragrances. This is a regular sold out at Jovoy boutiques and is a safe blind buy to surrender to.

She’s pretty! She’s peachy, fruity, and floral. So easy to love, BUT she is not worth the price. There are better and less expensive peach perfumes. She’s pretty but way too pricey for what you get

Bu parfüm hakkında çok karışık hislerim var. Elime azıcık para geçince gaza gelip kör alış yaptım, keşke önce minik dekant alıp deneseymişim. Evet ilk sıkıldığında şeftali kokusu geliyor ama sulu bir şeftali değil gerçek şeftaliden uzak kremsi bir şeftali. Parfümdeki çiçek kullanımı ise Alien'daki çiçek kullanımına benzer bir çiçek kullanımı. Evet çiçekler farklı, parfümler de birbirine benzemiyor ama çiçeklerin kullanım tarzı çok yakın. Allah'tan bu parfümde hindistan cevizi de var da Alien'daki gibi hacı misi kokmuyor, daha kremsi tarafa kayıyor koku. Ama yine de bence ağır bir koku. Ben parfümde daha gerçekçi cıvıl cıvıl çiçekler, sulu sulu meyveler seviyorum; bu koku beklentimi çok karşılamadı maalesef. Çok aşırı değil ama birazcık ilaca benzer bir kokusu da var, hangi ilaç bulamadım ama böyle bir hap kullandığıma eminim. Nefret etmedim, ama aşık da olmadım...

Pêche Cardinal is a very pleasant and easy-to-like fragrance, but somehow I couldn’t fully connect with it. I usually enjoy tuberose fragrances a lot, and most of them feel very beautiful and enjoyable to wear on my skin. However, I don’t usually like tuberose when it becomes too creamy, too green, or too overly fruity. With this fragrance, I honestly cannot explain exactly why it didn’t work for me. It is pretty, feminine and very suitable for general taste, but on my skin it felt a little too calm. Maybe I prefer tuberose when it is more present, more dramatic and more “explosive,” like in Nishane Tuberoza or Frédéric Malle Carnal Flower. Pêche Cardinal is lovely, but for my personal taste I wanted more tuberose presence, more character and more impact. It stayed softer and quieter than what I usually look for in this kind of perfume. If anyone in Europe is interested, I have a full bottle for sale, sprayed only 3–4 times for testing.

Cardinal Sin is the name of this fragrance when translated to English. Which one I don't know, and it is not specified in the description. Most likely it is the embodiment of them all. This review might come off ignorant because I am not familiar with this brand very much at all. This was a free sample given to me by LUCKYSCENT. Thank you by the way! I admit the opening of this fragrance does smell like shampoo. Similar to a shampoo from the early 90s I used to use quite often. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is not luxurious smelling. Eventually transitions into a tuberose. Completely different from the top. To be honest, I'm not impressed by either. I do like the softness of it all. I do like how this fruit is fresh rather than sweet or jam. And I do like the bottle design. That's pretty much it. It's OK. There's not much more to add.

For the first hour I could not distinguish it from Dusita's La Melodie de l'Amour, which I own and adore. I will check back with a dry down update.

I test wore this in order to evaluate it as a potential gift to lady friends. It is a very nice peach-dominant scent with supporting fruitiness from the black currant, black berry and plum, white florals, and a nice lactonic creaminess from the coconut. Overall a creamy Fruity Floral. The peach, especially in the opening, is turned up to 11 O'clock. It leaves no doubt that this is a peach scent with an exclamation point! I don't think Id agree with a review below that says the peach is "subtle", and takes on nuances of a real natural peach skin. Its strong and is more like an abstraction of the pulp in some peach dessert. Although it settles through the drydown, the peach remains dominant. Peach for me is perhaps the most feminine of the fruit notes, so that and the white florals blasts Peche Cardinal firmly into the feminine orbit. From MDCI, in my collection, I have Invasion Barbare, Chypre Palatin, Ambre Topkapi, and Bleu Satin. All masculine or masculine-leaning, with the possible exception of Chypre Palatin. Peche Cardinal upholds the MDCI standard of material quality and quality of scent profile. Its very nice and I'll recommend it to my lady friends.

Very very peachy start, it is sweet and juicy. I sprayed it an hour ago and normally when there is white floral involved, such as tuberose that tends to dominate the scent (and I tend to love it) but here it does mix with the peach very nicely. After 30 minutes the peach mellows out and that intensity mixes with florals a bit but still dominates the scent. It does smell like a peachy drink that you'd have on a hot summer day. Getting slight plum but it is blended so it doesn't stand out on its own but rather giving the perfume some 'corners'. Edit: After now 4 hours the scent has nearly died down. It did retain peach note until the end, it got softer, warmer and equally mixed with florals. No distinct floral came up but it took supporting role to the peach. There is no soapiness to the sweetness which is slightly strange to me, so the whole time it smelled like a peach drink and not peach soap. In the end get this if you are truly into peach scent, if you aren't you will be overwhelmed by it and might end up not liking it. Pretty feminine but if you like it, wear it. Who cares about gender when it comes to scent..

I adore this fragrance. A peachy tuberose that lingers and lingers and lingers. I sprayed this on one afternoon and could still smell it on my skin the morning after. I am a man (39) and I think it's a bit of a shame how this seems to be labeled as "for women". It's a niche fragrance and even though it might be a bit feminine leaning (whatever that means), it is just a beautiful composition. The peach scent here is that of peach skin, ripe peach skin, like what you smell when you pass by a grocery shop in the sun and you can smell their ripeness calling out to you. It is a delightful scent, subtle, juicy and succulent but never sickeningly sweet. The bottle with its extended rim is a nice tactile experience, the atomizer is good but the packaging is a bit generic. I was looking for a peach-centered fragrance for the summer and this just stood out to me. As always, be sure to try before you buy. Perfect perfume to wear whilst listening to Laura Veirs' brilliant album "July Flame" (the title refers to a type of peach), watching and reading "Call Me By Your Name" and becoming inspired to do a baked peach dessert with custard. The essence of my idea of summer in a bottle.

It’s beautiful and the bottle with that extra fancy cap is absolutely gorgeous. There’s no denying that the notes are beautiful but this combo on my skin just doesn’t work out…I’m sad because I want to love it but I have to be honest with myself. I’d never reach for it. Ever. So glad I got a decant and that I tested it. The peach is too spiced up in here, unfortunately. I would have wanted it to be a little more fruity, or juicy…On top of it, the tuberose, lily and plum just do not play nicely on my skin… Oh well 😞😭😭😭

I've read that Péché Cardinal refers to Original Sin; the inherent sinfullness of all humankind, passed down from the first ones, who after some deliberation, elected to snag a particular forbidden fruit....talk about a generational curse. Was it an apple? Perhaps it was a peach? If I were naked in the paradise of Eden...the earth in full boom, the sky perpetually blue and full of fluffy clouds, the breeze filled with the gentle warmth of the sun and gently lapping at my ageless, perfectly flawless, supple skin.....this is what I would smell like. There is peach, yes, but it's not the sharp/tart, cloyingly sweet, juicy flesh....it's the soft and fuzzy skin that eminates a musky aura of the delicate beauty beneath. It's soft spoken but central, shouldered by warm creamy Sandalwood, and a slightly lactonic coconut that doesn't fully commit to being beachy. My nose reads it as more of a coco-butter. The flowers and berries here do not compete with their counterparts, instead they amalgamate and fuse together to support this almost ambery fragrance with insinuations of sweetness and hints of freshness. For me this is a skin scent with a little english on it. Perfect for sunny warm weather, or if you need to defrost a bit on colder days. It's unisex as far as I'm concerned, but leans femme. I have far more sinful fragrances than this one, but if I had to personify what it smelled like to commit my first crime as an innocent babe...this would do. 8/10 Also...if it's peach you're looking for but this isn't the one: Taskeen Peach; Paris Corner (budget friendly, for those who enjoy the sweet peach-ring candy; a synthetic peach vibe, it's a beast) Nectarine Blossom and Honey; Jo Malone (clean-girl, fresh/aquatic, subtle/young peach fruit, not too sweet! It's a cologne though, so it won't hang around long) Elixir of Aphrodite; Alkemia (indie house, succulent peaches soaked in viscous honey, ambery, sweet, sexy/sultry, gourmond. The perfume oil formulation is too die for.) Golden Dawn; Siren Song Elixirs (indie house; a true-to-life, tart, juicy yellow peach that's been plucked from the tree with a verdant leaf still attached, vibrant and alive....my all-time favorite peach fragrance.)

It's impressive how this composition evolved on my skin. The opening was indeed a joyful peach, then I smelled like candy (don't care for candy, overly sweet) but when the dry down gradually developed, it was wow.. after wow... after wow... from 8:00 to 20:00 it kept softening. My question is, if a person wants and expects longevity, it's not easy to find. Learning how to apply and giving a fragrance its own time to evolve on skin is also part of how we can enjoy it. I would never complain about a perfume being too strong (as my issue with most is that they don't stay, not even on clothes). I appreciate the development and longevity of this one particularly. The candy part left space for an intense dry down. Maybe not a blind buy.

Absolutely stunning. The juicy, ripe, fuzzy peach fruitiness is dialled up with berries and given a creamy, powdery consistency with the coconut, musk and heady white florals. This is a perfect fragrance. Boudoir scents for sunny days. The apotheosis of feminine energy.

Delicious fresh peach, a slight tang brought by the berries, the white flowers are present but not overpowering, not at all indolic and very tolerable for those who might usually be turned off by that. The coconut note is just present enough to bring it some roundness and creaminess, but it isn’t sweet at all. The musk and sandalwood notes brings such warmth to the skin, it's very enticing. Very feminine, fresh and fruity.

The most natural fuzzy peach I’ve found. You have to like peach. I don’t detect a ton of tuberose, but then again I love white flowers so maybe just doesn’t come off as harsh to me.

To me this is misnamed and smells mostly of tuberose/white florals and only slightly of peach. The peach note is indeed amazing but the tuberose is not.

On paper this smelled amazing and I was excited to try it. On skin though, this took on a 90’s scented-plastic-toy note that, while nostalgic, is not something i particularly want to smell like. I don’t get florals, I don’t get wood, I don’t get depth. Just plastic and peach rings.

This is a kind of "smell good to everyone" feminine perfume. Super pretty and innocent, also, respect to the perfumer for skillfully balanced tuberose, which is not screechy or annoying. The pricing is insane for fruity shampoo smell though.

Absolutely love this fragrance. A couple of sprays down the inside of my top and I can still smell this radiating from me a good seven hours later. After that it becomes quite intimate, though I can still smell it on clothing a couple of days later. Sure, this isn’t as delicate with the note of peach as many others, but as a guy who loves living in a scent bubble, this is fantastic. Although not comparable in notes, the performance of Péché Cardinal reminds me of Chypre Palatin. My Chypre Palatin and Invasion Barbare have both gotten better (smoother and better performing) over the three years I have owned them, so I’m unsure if other MDCI fragrances will do likewise.

I certainly wouldn’t spend $250 for this. It’s bordering on cheap smelling. The notes look amazing but it’s a very synthetic peach nondescript fruity diet drink.

Peche Cardinal is a very strong super sweet candy like peach and that’s all. No florals came through for me at all unfortunately. Not quite the peach scent I want to smell like for 10 very very long hours. Despite others comments around longevity, on my skin it was exceptional.

This is straight up screechy peach and coconut. Smells synthetic and cheap. Hard pass for me even though I tend to like peach notes.

Quite jammy peach , very sweet and it very much reminds me of old version kids shampoo back in 90s “kre kre” , but with added hint of tuberose for the luxury feel ( I wish it would be more tuberose less fruit ) . Because it feels strong sweet when sprayed I expected a longevity , but was surprised it disappeared from my wrist in 20 min )

The ultimate clean girl aesthetic scent. I don't know how else to describe it. Super fresh and clean. Love it.

Like the skin of a peach, smells a bit fuzzy and astringent. Simple, clean, natural and beautiful, though short-lived on me. Not FBW for me (I don't love fruit fragrances) but still, I can tell when a fragrance is well done! Longevity and performance are poor IMO, projects for about an hour before becoming a skin scent, lasts around 2-3h on my skin.

Somewhat between very realistic asian plum and peach scent, and naseous coconut air freshner for cars.
