Miutine

I just received a sample of this, and I was expecting girly "Hello Kitty" artificial strawberry candy or the smell of my old 1980s Strawberry Shortcake dolls. Instead, I got a super earthy gardenia and a much more sophisticated (than anticipated) patchouli. If there's a sweet fruitiness, it comes as a barely-there strawberry. In some ways, this fragrance strikes me as of being from a different era. A long-forgotten era from 150 years ago. And yet, I like it? Strange. Strange, but I like this. It's not at all what I was expecting based on the previous reviews. This is what I imagine perfumes smelling like from the Klondike gold rush! So very strange.

This perfume smells pink and playful (at the start). At the same time it smells generic sweet floral which is not my cup of tea. It also reminds me of grandma perfume maybe because of the rose ? I find it nauseating but not cloying if that makes sense, and I got a headache after trying it on my skin. It might be ok for some people tho if that's what u prefer. It smells to me how a department store would smell when several people start spraying themeselves with different perfumes.

I really only bought the full size bc Ulta offerred a free gift set with purchase, but I'm not complaining. This converted me into a sweet scent lover. I ran through the travel size so quickly. I don't think I would've purchased the full size without the gift incentive, but it's a really lovely fragrance, so I don't mind having such a big bottle of it. I wore it almost every outing when I first bought the travel size last year, so now it smells like nostalgia and fond memories to me.

I've heard quite a lot about the Miu Miu fragrances and went to smell a few of them in store and I've got to say that there's absolutely nothing groundbreaking about any of them. The scent of Miutine is extremely basic and for the price point I expected more. What a shame.

Very thin, sweet, powdery. Baby powder, ruby grapefruit sugar syrup, plastic chemicals, ammonia cleaner. Not office safe. Gives me an instant migraine and a drugged dead feeling. IFRA seems to exist to CREATE fragrance allergies, not protect us. I never had a headache from any vintage fragrance but 2020s lab based fragrances make me literally sick.

My first impression when I opened the bottle was that Miutine is pleasant and fruity and that it is similar to Mon Paris YSL and Burberry Her EDP although Burberry has more sweetness and uniqueness. Although Miutine did not smell exactly like Miss Dior Cherie 2005 at first sniff, on the next day I tried it again and caught a very familiar whiff of Miss Dior Cherie, so I can draw a parallel between them. There is a recognisable playful bubbly opening of citrus mixed with strawberry champaign, similar to gummy candy, in both Cherie and Miutine. Miutine is less complex, and it is sweeter due to vanilla and brown sugar notes. On the second day and the subsequent days, when I spray it, it is pleasantly sweeter. It is a very delicious fruity chypre even though it is not exactly like Dior Cherie. Among the sweet strawberry notes, I can smell rose, citrus, vanilla. It is so wonderfully blended! It is joyful, alluring, youthful and chic! No old auntie vibes at all. I also like the bottle design very much! I am very glad Dominique Ropion did not let us down with this creation!🩷🍊🍓🥂🥀

Sticky sweet and synthetic. Was not for me.

This does not smell like Burberry Her. I really do not know how anyone is making that comparison. Interesting...

Smells almost exactly like Burberry Her

It's very different from what I normally wear, but I like it a lot. It has sort of an ambery character to the dry-down that I quite enjoyed, although I think the base notes are a little too heady for me and got cloying too fast. I didn't really get strawberry all that much.

This starts more fruity than floral to me. Then it becomes more floral than fruity. This is a pretty sweet fragrance throughout and while it was fine on a nice day, I think it'll get cloying in a particularly hot day. This was a nice perfume but nothing really stood out to me. It did get me a compliment. Its a mass appealing designer fragrance. Definitely mass appealing. It lasted all day and projected pretty well. Office safe from the appeal standpoint but may not be safe if you work in an environment where fragrance projecting would not be ok or around people sensitive to fragrances. Would maybe get a bottle if I found a partial second hand at a steal but don't see myself grabbing for this enough to justify a full bottle.

This is a really decent perfume that my nose interprets differently on different days. Sometimes, the strawberry is at the fore and it feels fruity, other times the floral sharpness is what hits first. Either way, it’s a pretty powerful initial blast which can feel slightly assaulting. Performance is fine - you’ll need a mid-day top up for sure. Price can be quite high if you don’t find a deal. I’ve enjoyed working my way through a bottle, but I don’t think I’ll buy another.

I weirdly really enjoy this but I find that the sweetness can be waaaaay too syrupy and cloying on super hot days. The strawberry feels very fun and youthful but not out of place on someone "older" either

weak. smells like a regular designer fragrance. or when you walk in a big fragrance store. disappointed

This is very fruity at first, and then it becomes more floral and amber. It's really pleasant. Not too overpowering but very noticeable. The vanilla and brown sugar are very light and add warmth, but doesn't create that baked goods smell, which I am not fond of at all. This is a really nice scent that I will wear fairly often.

Smells awful on me. Kerosene and strawberries

It smells like bacarrat mixed with marc jacobs dot. Not very pleasant.

I swear there is mango in this 😭 do not like. It reminds me of something but I don't know what. Maybe one of the Armani my way flankers. The patchouli takes over after about 15 minutes for me.

I love it. To me, after the fruit disappears, it is a very pure clean floral scent of one beautiful flower. But not one note. Doesn't get sickly as it seems like a real flower. So not complex, but enough complexity within that flower. I don't know how they achieve this, but nice job, Miu Miu. Very pretty and not a basenote smell, but not candy sweet. No ambroxan. Could be good for layering. This lasts quite a while, esp on clothes. Definitely worth trying. Glad I bought it.

Burberry her. This is just Burberry her in a miu miu bottle.

I'm shocked at how much I like this. To me, it just smells like delicious strawberry gummies and sugary vanilla. It's youthful and sweet, but grounded and gentle. Performance is fairly good, lasting about 4 hours on clothes.

Perfumed ointment. Medicinal ointment . Like a strong ointment for burns.

You spray it and it's like a very generic youthful sweet perfume, then after 5-10 minutes it begins to smell horrible - I can't even pinpoint what exactly - sort of plasticky or metallic even? But still quite mild even so. Then after about an hour it turns into a really lovely seductive beautiful warm sugary scent.. so it sort of tricks you really. It's not super bold, no one could smell it on me until I handed them my wrist to sniff directly so if you want a wafting 'that's her' perfume, this may not be your one.

It's very adolescent and very fruity, super strawberry-sweet and department store/magazine insert ad scratch n sniff gourmand. I spray this on myself when I'm alone at night and want to dream about the semi-mega-rando I have an inexplicable crush on that I can't even rationalize to my closest friends and it really does the trick. Not sure what to say beyond that.

Reminds me of Sadanne a bit

Heavy, cloying, sharp, sweet patchouli. Like walking into a lush store in a bad way and impossible to scrub off.

A plethora of reviews have already described what is going on here with Miutine thus going through a play-by-play seems a bit silly. One notable thing to add is that this fragrance went from a 'soft' dislike and is now firmly in a near-fervent loathe; cannot say I hate it, not yet at least. Perhaps I am being too generous... as I can see how it could be, perhaps, mildly acceptable to wear but only if one is cosplaying; or perhaps the wearer is really into dark comedy and satire... maybe they are a method actor and they are trying to fully embrace their character? Think Demi Moore in "Substance". Like that sort of situation would be acceptable (maybe?!)... everything else, nah. No way. Quite nasty stuff.

I think this fragrance is very nice and mature and although it’s not perfect for me, I have gifted it to two older women friends of mine, and they both fell in love. And for the record by older, I mean between 48 and 55. I see a lot of comparison to Burberry her and I do not agree with that. I do think it has a lot of strawberry notes, but I personally do not smell the strawberry in Burberry her I smell more rose notes. My scent profile is more Chloe EDP, Mancera roses greedy, coach color splash (which has been discontinued- i think that is crazy) also Chanel chance and formerly Estée Lauder beautiful prior to the 2006 reformulation which completely ruined that wonderful fragrance. So again this isn’t exactly a go to fragrance for me- it dries down heavier than I’d like and I’m getting a mature powdery top note in there as well. We are all so different and I haven’t read any other reviews who have had a similar scent breakdown but ultimately that’s why we have so many fragrances to choose from and then variables on staple fragrances to broaden the profile. So having said all that- overall, I think it’s a solid fragrance! I do see where a lot of consumers feel this fragrance is a bit pricey, but I think those opinions are somewhat relative and if you try to view the pricing from an overall product perspective, you’ll notice that you see higher ratings for longevity and silage. I am expecting to pay a few dollars more for a fragrance that I only have to use once a day and only requires 2 to 4 sprays. And if you think about it like that, the fact that there is no reapplying or over spraying does it truly cost more in the end? Just a different perspective and a fair way to judge pricing on this product. 👍🏼👍🏼

Hm, it’s alright. The opening is straight Soap & Glory “clean on me” range, which I don’t particularly like. Dries down to a crushed sugar patchouli, it is uniquely fresh given the base notes but I don’t think it’s anything special.
