Worn it for the 1st time in years and the performance is way better than i remembered. Projected extremely well and did so for 4+ hours, but in a airy, diffusive sort of way. It's definitely not a loud and in your face scent but everyone around you will get a soft, classy, pleasant cloud of it. Received 3 compliments as well. For me its extermely verasatile, suited to all seasons but maybe not the hottest days and for casual all the way to formal settings. My bottle is about 20 years old so its well and truly matured.

I really like this.. Super inoffensive scent. I do agree it smells like shaving cream with a slight hint of cinnamon. I don't pick up any fruityness although apple is listed as a note. It has a similar "vibe" to aqua di parma frags. Not in a "notes" way, but it has that light barbershop vibe. It smells like a happy sunday.

Oh WOW! So I purchased a bottle of Presence for Men about a year ago, wore a few times and I thought it was "nice" but nothing special really, plus I have so many frags that I haven't gotten around to spraying Presence again since about a year ago. Well Woah! Either im just emagining things, OR Its gotten more Spicey/Soapy/Amazing than when Id first sprayed my brand-new bottle! Its seems so much better now and I just feel that it smells more spicey and a just (a tad) more intense and much more smooth since its Maturated! Plus although this is definately NOT a beastmode fragrance, its lasting like 6 to 7 hours on my skin now! Well, now Im tempted to get a back up bottle, but I need to practice some damned SELF CONTROL ovah Here! Lol! Anyways yeah, Soapy/Spicey/Fresh, gentlemanly, subtle but with "Presence", put together vibe and THEE QUINTESSENTIAL"OFFICE SCENT" for us Grown folk out here! Presence has indeed become a Very, VERY nice office/professional fragrance indeed!

Have you ever had the full Barbour shoppe treatment? I’m talking the real deal: hot towels, exfoliation, beard trim, straight‑razor shave, warm conversation that feels like a hug for your soul… the works. Craftsmanship. Precision. Expertise. None of that “check in online” drive‑thru bullcrap haircut energy. No sir. Not today. Now take that rejuvenating grooming ritual; that symphony of steam, steel, and seasoned hands, and drop it directly into a hydraulic press. Hit that big ol' big red button and watch the pressure gauge climb into the “OSHA would like a word” zone! Then stand back as the very essence of that experience drips out in tiny, precious vials you’d absolutely hoard like a dragon with a grooming fetish! Bottle that up, splash in some perfumer’s alcohol, slap on a plastic cap that looks like it was ordered in bulk from “Giant Generic Caps R Us,” and voilla: You’ve just created Montblanc Presence. This stuff oozes comfort and nostalgia like the old‑timers at the classic cars & coffee meet‑up. The ones who can rebuild a carburetor with one hand and flawlessly hold court with the other. It’s steering wheels wrapped in warm leather and gear shifts with actual numbers on the knob. It's the cinnamon‑sweet glow of slipping into the back with your date to get a little handsy (and maybe a little more if you play your cards just right.) This is the fragrance equivalent of a man who knows how to fix things; not because he wants to impress you, but because he genuinely enjoys his craft. Presence doesn’t project like it’s trying to win a county fair yodeling contest. It’s more of a personal bubble fragrance. The kind that makes people lean in a little, not back away. This is the scent equivalent of a perfectly timed compliment; subtle, sincere, and surprisingly memorable. I reach for Presence when I want to feel grounded and not worry about whether or not I smell great! I know I do. When I want to smell like I know what I’m doing even if I’m absolutely winging it. This is a “Saturday morning coffee run in a soft sweater" or “leaning on the counter talking to someone you care about while the world slows down” scent. This is an "I read the actual newspaper" kind of scent. You know, the one's made of real paper and smudgy ink. This is for the guy that's not trying to be the loudest guy in the room, but he's the one people remember after they leave it. Montblanc Presence is comfort with a polished backbone. It’s nostalgia with a glossy lacquer. It’s the barbershop ritual distilled into a warm aromatic hug. Is it flashy? No. Is it modern? Not particularly. Is it special? Absolutely. Presence is the fragrance of a man who shows up, does the job right, and leaves the place better than he found it.

This one smells pretty good. A bit babershopy and classicly masculine. War and easy to wear. You wont stand out, but youll smell good.

It started raining again and got chilly for a second, so I reached for a cold weather frag. Aw man, a leaky atomizer. Such is life. This one is winter spicy! Huge hit of cinnamon and cardamom from the second my thumb presses down, burying the bergamot that wanted to remind us there's citrus in the opening as well. Near the tail end of the top notes ginger grows in prominence, making its presence known (get it?). What's unique to me is that the fruitier aspects of this Montblanc don't occur until the heart notes, where apple and sage overlap into the initial cinnamon and cardamom providing that JPG Le Male meets Boss Bottled apple pie experience. After 5 or so minutes a muskiness appears, growing deeper as the woodier notes of teak and creamy tonka infused sandalwood begin to come through. It's not as gourmand as Boss Bottled Absolu and not as vanilla as Le Male, but I understand why Presence would be a comparison with them. This is spicy, warm, and slightly powdery; I also think it's a lot more versatile and safer to wear at the office since it's not overly sugary and lacks that heavy vanilla. I also think this might be more usable possibly into Summer as none of the notes aren't supremely heavy as to become cloying.

Hard to place exactly what it smells like. I like it a lot though it's smooth, sweet and spicy, and not too strong. Ill give it an 8/10 for scent. Not the best performance but it's pretty cheap and easy to find at TJ Maxx type of stores.

Such a lovely spicy scent, suave

Анонім

This is very lovely. I've had it for a few years and I come back to it every now and then. I pick up the cinnamon and the apple and it's just beautiful to me. It's not a beast mode monster yeah but it's very pleasant.

I still have the original "snow globe" type bottle at home

Анонім

This is the type of fragrance you throw on at home for yourself. Projection and longevity are poor. The scent is nice, but nothing to get excited about. It's a little warm spicy and soapy fresh. You definitely can pick up on the cinnamon, but the fragrance overall is weak and feels watered down. Not terrible if you find it for very cheap, but don't go out of your way to pick this one up.

Анонім

Calm, fresh, and soapy. smells like you just got done showering. I really like this one. It’s nice to just throw on for school or work or just simple occasions. Very inoffensive and likeable. Good price too.

Анонім

I picked this one up just because it was on sale when I was placing an order and I liked the sound of the notes - a blind-buy which I always try to avoid given how it rarely pans out for me. I was pleasantly surprised by this. It's light, fruity and fresh with a tiny peppery hint that reminds me a little of my fave discontinued Kenzo Tokyo. What I find great about this scent is that it layers really well with other scents to mix it up a bit. I've layered it with JPG Le Male, Creed Absolut Aventus 2025 and SWY Sandalwood. Basically if you have a fragrance you like and you want to lighten and freshen it up a bit this seems to just work with it. (Just use sparingly)

Decepção total esse perfume. Projeção pífia. Aroma enjoativo.

Update: Has become one of my favorites, especially for work. It’s just perfectly unobtrusively inviting. The sandalwood really comes through towards the end and is just beautiful. My new bottle smells the same but the performance is bad. Will let it sit and hope that improves. Easy blind buy. Even if you don’t love it, it’s not something you’ll regret having in the collection. I’ve gone back and forth with this one, but have concluded that I like this very much. It’s really nice. Especially the opening which I do wish lasted a bit longer. Still a very enjoyable easy wear. Understated and gentlemanly with poise and well, presence. This probably won’t rock anybody’s world or knock anyone’s socks off, but that wasn’t the point anyway.

Анонім

Wow, you know what, this stuff is actually lowkey pretty good. I've had this sitting in the back of my collection for a while and just randomly decided to try it again. It's soapy, spicy, fresh, and has a nice sweet amber/tonka/musk thing going with a powdery and warm sandalwood backbone. My parents bought this for me when I first started collecting, and it wasn't really my cup of tea at the time. But dang, for the measly $11 they paid, they gifted me what is essentially a classy, soapy take on JPG Le Male. Obviously, by no means literally the same thing or even a clone, but definitely see how they are in the same "genre' so to speak. The note breakdown is also pretty accurate to what I smell. I am going to wear this as my scent of the day and see what I think about its performance and longevity, and the scent in the deep dry down.

Анонім

This thing is good, really good. It doesn't smell old or outdated, maybe some people will relate the smell to someone that they know that is old, but the scent is 10 out 10. It makes you fell clean, elegant and confident. Very masculine and grownup, so forget about those bubblegum ultra sweet colognes, those are for teens. The problem is, or problems are, it is weak and doesn't last. This is the kind of scent you use want to smell since after shower until the end of the day, and it will not last half of it, actually in my skin, after 3h it is totally faded. Luckily it is cheap so you could respray during the day, but who is the crazy person that carry a parfum bottle to work? Not me, I just wish to find something like this but that last 6+ hours.

Анонім

I've had this for a while. This is just okay, nothing special, definitely not terrible. Not a cold weather scent, not a high heat scent, a decent, casual, fall and spring fragrance. Light and inoffensive, a little sweet + spicy. Doesn't really project, so don't hesitate to spray away. Doesn't really last, either; dries down to a skin scent after an hour or two. I don't hate it, but I doubt I'd buy it again after I use this bottle up.

Анонім

It's kinda light and fresher Jaipur Homme. Moschino Forever is also kinda similar. But that has a stronger fruity nuance.

This is still a banger, on a cooler summer night it gets the job done. Spring and autumn both day and night. I own much more expensive fragrances than this one and still I reach for it from time to time considering that I have over 70 to circle around. Does lack performance in general and especially if the weather is too hot or too cold, but you can always blast yourself with 20 sprays. If you haven't tried it, go ahead and buy it. It is a safe blind buy. Might be boring and mature for some of you, but still as I said a banger.

If u wanna smell like an 80 year old who walks out of a barber shop for his last hair cut then this cologne is for you.

Анонім

I had this one when I was younger with the moon bottle that was so cool. It was a cinnamon fresh fragrance with a woody base, the opening had a cooling minty note, I really liked it. Medium projection and longevity but it smelled great, kind of like the drydown of Imagination when the citruses and soap are gone. I don't know the quality of Presence these days, but this was a banger. Way better than many niche fragrances that are literally a waste of space and materials.

I've tried 4 Montblanc fragrances to date (Presence, Explorer, Legend, Individuel) and I must say, all have been bangers so far. Presence is my 2nd favorite to Individuel, and it's closing the gap the more I wear it. I opens with a minty shaving cream smell. After a few minutes, I get mild cinnamon and some vanilla that hangs around for the next several hours. It leans synthetic... but I like synthetic when done right. The performance is somewhere in the 6 hour range. It doesn't blast off of my skin at any point, nor is it a weak skin scent. I dont think it would last as long without the cinnamon, but who knows? This has all-purpose, daily wear potential, where you want to smell nice, but understated. It's somehow unique and familiar at the same time. The best way I can describe it: modernized Old Spice vibes. Don't expect this fragrance, like any other, to magically drop the drawers. However, Presence is definitely a conversation starter if you're a well put together guy. If you rocked this as a daily scent, you will likely be told at some point "you smell nice"... even if it's to yourself in your own head.

I seem to smell this very differently from many others. It's not spicy at all to me and I don't really pick up any cinnamon. I get a mostly floral soapy accord that's old fashioned (not a bad thing) and veers a bit too close to old lady vibes (a bad thing) especially as it dries down to a more powdery place. It was inexpensive thankfully, and that's about the best thing I can say about it. Not very masculine and not my cup of tea.

Анонім

Someone said this is Cinnamon Gillette shaving foam and it's spot on! Dries down to a very soft Le Male. It's ok but I found it cloying using it every day. Now and then is more wearable though I won't buy again when it's gone!

Анонім

Just a bit of sweetness, a tad bit of spice, and a touch of citrus. Nothing offensive here. To me, I get a bit of a classic barbershop vibe with this one. Like someone previously stated, "gentlemanly".

Анонім

I have recently brought this back into my collection, admittedly because of the bargain price. I agree with the assessment of many who say there is something discordant in the mix. The scent is not weird, just different. My nose initially smells something lovely, fresh and sweet; but my mind tells me it detects something that just does not blend harmoniously. Others have stated it is the cinnamon, and I think that's it. It vaguely reminds me of Obsession because of the spice insinuation. The dry down is fresh, sweet and lovely, I must admit. I am really confused about my feelings toward this one. It is a bit cloying and lasts forever. I would not recommend this as a blind buy. Spray it on first, definitely.

Анонім

Nice cinnamon apple aftershave kind of vibe. Personal scent, very gentleman scent. I am kind of bored wearing blue and in trend scents. This may not be a ground breaking scent but smells different in its own way.

Анонім

This fragrance was a gift and was my introduction to the world of perfumes, mostly because of the cinnamon, which I really enjoy. The best thing about it is that it smells quite different from others—or at least it has its own distinctive profile. It’s not too aggressive, not too sweet—pretty well balanced. It opens with a spicy kick and then transitions into a more floral-citrus identity, blended with woody undertones. For me, it’s amazing that it lasts around five hours in a hot, dry climate (which is common for floral, citrus, and natural fragrances—meaning it likely contains high-quality ingredients). It also has a moderate sillage, making it non-invasive for those around you. However, if you're looking for something bolder, louder, more traditionally ‘masculine,’ or mainstream, this might not be for you. That being said, always wear what you love! This is a great scent for beginners, for switching up your everyday rotation, or for a nice meal out with someone.
