açılış nane ile yazlık gibi dursada alttan gelen çikolata ile sizi kışa da davet eden bir koku, 4 mevsim kullanılabilecek güzel sıradan olmayan yani basit birbirine benzeen tatlı kokan bir parfüm değil
Geniune masterpiece.
Thick, syrupy mint with a lot of patchouli (A*Men trademark), some chocolate and some refreshingly synthetic (meaning in a good, plasticky way) woods and tonka in the background. I agree with previous reviews that the mint in this is kind of dirty and herbal, again a nice surprise. Honestly not as refreshing as I was expecting, this is almost better suited for cooler weather, like a spring evening. This is a really thick sweet scent and its really good, but I thought it would be more of a summer focused mint A*Men. The first blast is tons of mint but again, not like in Y Eau Fraiche or something like that, instead its thick and gourmand. I suppose it can be worn in heat too of course, but its not something I would grab instantly for that. Really interesting and very Mugler, easy to like and unique.
I was expecting bizarre mint chocolate chip ice cream, but this fragrance is actually not that at all. It is a versatile green freshie. I don't think the mint is "toothpasty" and the chocolate isn't at the forefront. It's closer to barbershop than it is to ice cream shop...
It's a crime they discontinued this line
It really is a great fragrance, but unfortunately, on my skin, I only get a couple hours of skin scent. I have go real heavy on the trigger to get any performance. IMO, not worth the "discontinued" price tag, but i will enjoy it while it lasts.
this one is as refreshing as swimming in hot after eight pralines.
its definitely a*man yet kryptomint brings in that minty, mass-appeal vibe that easily can go for ysl la nuit de lhome line or versace eros all while retaining its character as a bit avantgarde pairing so much mint with a thick a*men base. I enjoy wearing it a lot, and I see im not in a few here, wearing it is fun playful energetic and sexy as a*men should be.
Finally picked up this fragrance, and very glad I did. It's unfortunate almost all of the A Men fragrances are discontinued. The mint and chocolate are the main players, providing a green freshness while having a sweet gourmand background. Still retains the patchouli and vanilla from the original, but allows it to be more versatile and fresh. It has enough push with the gourmand notes to be worn in cooler weather, but not too heavy or cloying to be worn in the heat. I get about 7 to 8 hours of longevity, with an above average projection. It pushes strong in the first hour and starts to mellow down, but stays very noticeable. Very different than other designer fragrances out currently. I own 7 A Men fragrances, and it's a shame that most of the line was axed. If you can find this for a good price, I highly recommend picking this up. Overall: 8/10
A*Men Kryptomint is a limited edition that brought a breath of icy, vibrant air to Mugler's A*Men line, reinterpreting the house's woody gourmand DNA with an invigorating overdose of peppermint. Launched in 2017 and designed by Jacques Huclier, creator of the original A*Men, Kryptomint stands out as the most energetic and refreshing fragrance in the line, without losing the density and olfactory impact that the brand carries. The Olfactory Experience Kryptomint opens with an explosively fresh accord, marked by the almost minty intensity of peppermint. It's like a breath of icy air — vibrant, energetic, almost medicinal — that evokes the sensation of crystallized mint. Sage complements this opening with an aromatic, herbal and clean touch. In the heart, geranium adds a metallic and masculine floral nuance, continuing the freshness, but with elegance and complexity. The base, typical of the A*Men line, begins to emerge little by little: earthy patchouli, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, tonka and vanilla form a warm, gourmand base, contrasting deliciously with the initial freshness. The result is a fragrance that starts out glacial and ends creamy, warm and comforting. Performance Long-lasting: Good (7 to 9 hours) Projection: Moderate to high in the first hour, then becomes softer Sillage (trail): Medium — noticeable, but not invasive Despite having a lighter feel than the original A*Men, Kryptomint still delivers above-average performance, maintaining the Mugler house standard in terms of presence and longevity. Occasions of Use Kryptomint is one of the most versatile and daytime flankers in the A*Men line, and can be used with confidence in: Hot spring and summer days Informal and casual environments Daytime and outdoor activities After showering to refresh Ideal for those who like fresh fragrances with a gourmand base, without resorting to excessive sweetness. Perfect for those who find traditional A*Men too heavy for everyday use. Bottle Design The bottle follows the iconic look of the A*Men line: robust, with a rubberized finish. This time, it gains a vibrant mint green tone with a shiny star — evoking freshness, energy and even a slight inspiration from superheroes, as the name "Kryptomint" itself suggests. Final Considerations A*Men Kryptomint represents a cool and invigorating breath within a line known for its dense and intense fragrances. It’s a great gateway into the Mugler universe and an ideal flanker for warmer climates, without losing the house’s gourmet signature. It skillfully blends the contrast between freshness and depth, offering a bold yet wearable and modern fragrance. Final Score: 9.6/10 One of the most original flankers in the A*Men line — unusual, invigorating and captivating. Kryptomint proves that it’s possible to maintain the soul of a classic and still dare to take a completely different approach.
This is one of the fragrances that my view has completely changed over the times. When I blind bought this fragrance and first tried it 4 years ago, and it was a very early stage of my fragrances journey, I thought it was weird and disgusting. I gave it another try a year later and I was like “ok, it’s not as bad as I thought.” Then another year later my view changed to “it’s kinda good.” I am wearing it today and the smell is just so good! I have A Men, Pure Havane and Pure Malt from the A Men line and they are all very good - but, surprisingly this Kryptomint could be my favorite. I only wish I got a backup bottle 4 years ago when it was easier to find it for a reasonable price.
Minty af. Unusual. Not an every day wear but maybe a fun diversion. I passed it on because it wasn't getting used.
Curiosity got the best of me and I was able to find a new, unopened bottle for a decent price (compared to what these are going for online today) as I am a fan of the A*Men series. First thoughts, it takes me back to my middle school years (97/98) and the classic Nautica Competition bottle before its lackluster reformation and eventual discontinuation years later. As everyone says below, very fresh and minty as well as likable. Longevity is decent. A solid "like" but not "love" for me.
Super likable. It smells like mint chocolate. Very gourmand. Long lasting. Medium projection. Has some sweetness, is unique and also still very clean. Great for casual wear and for dates. This is a special fragrance.
خیلی خوبه، به نظرم بهترین عطر این لاینه
This is one of the fragrances I got in the very early stage of my fragrance journey back in 2021. When I had a first sniff on this very unique scent, I thought it smelled weird and just didn’t like it at all. But, after my nose buds are developed, I started appreciating this wonderful fusion of fresh mint and heavy patchouli. I only wish I had a backup bottle when I could easily find it at discounters.
The initial spray is a strong blast of minty/ herbal smell, so refreshing. You don’t get the usual Mugler sillage with Kryptomint. The scent is evolving really nicely, slowly transitioning from fresh mint to chocolate-sweet mint. 10/10 for uniqueness IMO, it’s not like Pure Shot or Ice Men as it was mentioned in the “reminds me of” section. Maybe the initial freshness is confusing the nose. I should say that my expectations for Kryptomint were higher but I still like it. *re-visiting my review from 2024, I have to say that Kryptomint grew on me and I like it much more than when I got it.
This is a very interesting fragrance, Minty and refreshing with the Amen dna, It does kind of give off "chocolate mint ice cream" vibes at first, But a few times I've worn it, It's reminded me a bit of Armani Attitude, A minty fresh version anyways. As another reviewer mentioned before me, The dry-down has a bit of this aquatic/mineral note that reminds me of wet stones for some reason..But it's still pleasant. This is nice for colder weather, But I think you can also wear this in warmer weather.
Smells like fresh mint leaf and bit of patchouli muddled into wet rocks and dry soil. Chocolate note is understated and earthy-smelling. These few components harmonize in a simple yet strangely addicting way. Mint is not reminiscent of toothpaste at all, and has a palpably dirty character to it which I enjoy. Lasting power for me is very strong, about 8+ hours. Intuitively, this may feel too deep and moody for spring/summer weather, but something about it just comes alive under higher temperatures outdoors.
I received it as a decant a while back and tried it for the first time this morning. It definitely gives me delight and makes me want to try more scents after feeling unmotivated by my current collections. I'll keep my decant and wear it on special occasions because it's so hard to come by. I hope everyone feels the same way.
One of those scents you spray and keep smelling. Very unique
This isn’t a fragrance that should be worn daily. It’s a scent that should be cherished. This is a great scent to spray on a date or specific event. The mint really pairs nicely with the chocolate to create this ice cream type scent. This is one of those fragrances though, where you spray it and enjoy those minty and chocolatey notes and forget about it until you discover it again after a few months.
This is a minty smell similar to Ultra Zest. It’s not quite spearmint, more like a wintermint gum.
This was a breath of fresh air. I haven’t smelt anything this great in a while. Better than every new cologne, this is mint chocolate cookies, but very refreshing
#533 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant from Scent Split. It's so sad that Loreal destroyed a great fragrance line within a few years of acquiring Thiery Mugler. This is a fresh, invigorating greenie that has been discontinued and is now only available from eBay scalpers asking for $150-$850 for one of the remaining bottles. This is my first experience with a minty fragrance and I like it much more than I expected. Enough that I'll be looking to try out others. The chocolate and coffee notes that normally don't work for me are working here. I think this would be a great casual fragrance to have, great date scent, but not at several hundred dollars. May give clone Dua's Mint-o-Krypt.
I love & adore this fragrance so much My fav desert is Blue Bell Mint Chocalate Chip Ice Cream and I love i the note of mint in my fragrances. I was and still am a sucker for this house and almost all of the A*men Flankers I had a bottle of this here there and everywhere. Same with UltraZest! I’d bathe in em!!! I have a few mint fragrances and this one hasn’t been topped yet. It’s more of a candied mint like the green & black mint chocolate Andes mints my parents always had readily avail around Christmas time. Or mint chocolate chip ice cream. I had two bottles half full of this before finding a new $39.99 bottle at a Marshall’s maybe 3 years ago! Greatfull!!!! Because to me this is better than alot of niche gourmand fragrances out now and if you see one & you can afford it I advise you to put it at the top of your wish list before it’s crazy unattainable like it’s UltraZest cousin!!
Very very aquatic, almost a water, like almost all today's releases, the best are discontinued..or buyed by some fckn Lowreal!
My summer party fragrance! Smells futuristic 9/10
Mint, patchouli and white chocolate. Fresh, green, mentholated and slighly sweet, like a mint candy. 10/10.
I was expecting a mint mocha scent, but this actually reminds me of mung bean ice cream! It starts with a refreshing mint note, followed by sweetness from vanilla and the earthy patchouli. But once all these notes balance themselves out, it comes to the middle phase that reminds me of mung bean popsicles. I guess it's the tonka bean, vanilla, and coffee notes together make a combo that smells like sweet mung bean paste, and the mint and patchouli notes add coolness. The drydown is more refreshing than the OG A*Men, and doesn't have that powdery texture. It's somewhere between A*Men Ultimate and A*Men.
