Stellar indeed! 🌟

This one is actually quite nice. It opens like a soft wishy-washy creamy flat modern gourmand that pretty meh. But after about 30mins the pistachio comes in & saves the day. The pistachio is very nutty, powdery and salty. It plays the part of the patchouli in the OG Angel and set a nice contrast against the sweetness. The signature Angel patchouli in Stellar is pretty muted & gives the spotlight to pitaschio. The DNA of Angel is only present if you smell close, in the sillage it's a textured and complex nutty, creamy and salty gourmand. Unlike the horror show Fantasm, this one keeps the sweetness in check. I'm a big fan of the OG and to me this is the very 1st time since the L'oreal takeover, Angel has a decent flanker.

@SceneQueen When I first got this, I also thought this lacked performance but after having it for over a month, this became easily the beastiest perfume in my collection. One spray will have the scent projecting and lasting for hours and hours.

Now comparing both of vintage angel to angel stellar I can confidently say this is so worth it, more brighter airy sweeter than the og, nutty opening however it is controversial as it is salty, bittersweet as there's a marshmallow or whipped cream note to my nose as well so it's salty sweet nutty goodness with that powdery patchouli angel DNA in the background the scent is so good it is the most realistic toasted salted pistachio perfume I have tried. Versatile and could be worn all year round. The smell is sexy and addictive i love the scent but it lacks performance and character for me so i will stick with og angel forever.

Addictive and moreish. Cannot get enough. It’s boozy and nutty. Where Sol de 62 is the liqueur Frangelico on ice for Summer, this is Frangelico with thick chunks of nuts (I don’t specifically pick up on pistachios just general nuttiness with a pinch of salt) to warm up Winter. The chocolate is not gourmand like a chocolate bar, but dark, raw and earthy covered in soil from the patchouli. There is enough sweetness to balance this out and keep it from being outright savoury, but only just enough. It’s also a chameleon and complex as on certain days I pick up on florals and some powderiness in the middle. But interestingly the top and dry down are the same each time. I can see the Christmas spirit in this too. It’s warming, enveloping and although very grounded in all the earthiness, uplifting. It makes me happy and joyful. I think this star fell from Mars. Stellar indeed. 💙⭐️💫✨🌰🥃🍫🍃💯🔥👏🥰

its beautiful but there is no messiness of the og patchouli here!

Анонім

this is a nutty patchouli perfume sweeter, at the same time more muted than the regular Angel worth having both

WONDERFUL AMAZING

I was really impressed by the fragrance's longevity—it lasted 5 days on my clothes while maintaining its projection and scent quality; that’s insane 😱 It has a very gourmand scent, like pistachio cookies... different from the original Angel. Definitely worth buying.

Finally a designer patchouli fragrance I like! Definitely, with a pretty prominent pistachio (kinda synthetic yes) and the patchouli is not suffocating. It remains airy you catch wafts of it throughout your wear. Not the most long lasting fragrance though. Also it is not listed in the notes but I definitely smell tonka or coumarin in the deep drybdown that gives an ambery feel. Your usual designer sweet perfume girlies will not enjoy this.... I just have to also say the bottle is so stupid lol. How are you supposed to put this in your perfume cabinet???

Анонім

More nutty than Amen Stellar. Both addictive. Has the Angel soapy DNA underneath a very nice gourmand pistachio with the chocolatey patchouli.

This is quite possibly my favorite perfume of all time. The moment I first smelled it, I bought it immediately. I own many fragrances and I have sampled countless scents, but I have never smelled anything quite like Stellar. I simply adore it. To me, it smells like a basket full of pistachios and dark chocolate, left in the middle of a woody forest in late September. It is rich, warm, unusual, and completely unforgettable.

Анонім

this might genuinely be the worst scent i have ever EVER had the displeasure of sniffing in my entire life. this is a vile, truly despicable and detestable fragrance that only the most rotted souls wpuld ever wear. i cant even think of a time where this wpuld be remotely appropriate to wear; maybe at a funeral if you hated the deceased??? i dont know but the way this smells quite literally evokes a flight or fight response in my body

Анонім

Smells like (the new formulation of) Angel with a nutty pistachio added. I am surprised only three notes are listed because Angel has sooo many notes. This is an easy reach for me and should please all OG Angel enthusiasts. Love it.

Анонім

Love love loveee the opening of this fragrance! I’m really over smelling really plastic, synthetic pistachio notes, but Angel Stellar does pistachio so well. I prefer my fragrances to be incredibly strong, and I love that about the original Angel but unfortunately Stellar just doesn’t provide that same amplified longevity or projection as the OG or the other flankers like Nova or Elixir. Perfect flanker for those who love a more natural woody pistachio scent and don’t quite want the strength or the original Angel ✨

Анонім

I know I usually don’t like patchouli but this one I had to rub off my wrist. Unfortunately. I really am trying to like this note because it has potential!! But this…. :/

Анонім

This has become my favorite Angel flanker, I love how it settles into a nice creamy patchouli with a hint of pistachio. The pistachio is very heavy in the opening, but not in a sweet way, rather nutty and slightly bitter (wich I find pleasent on my skin). Sadly, I can barely smell bergamot.

Angel Stellar isn’t a love at first sniff. But when I did finally grow to love it, boy, I really loved it. For starters, I’m not exactly the biggest patchouli fan. Not a hater, either but there was just something about patchouli that just bothers me. But Angel Stellar changed that perspective. It made me more open minded to trying perfumes with a prominent patchouli note in it. Angel Stellar starts off nutty and citrusy. I’m getting that pistachio, but it’s more savory rather than sweet. Then there’s that nice addition of a bitter citrus that adds brightness to the start. It doesn’t smell sharp, either. Then after a while, I get the patchouli. It’s more clean and slightly earthy rather than a patch bomb. Once you go to the drydown, which can take at least an hour, I’m getting this super delicious-smelling, warm vanilla and a slight woodiness to round everything out. There is still that hint of patchouli, but it’s more subdued this time. Although there is an uplifting, luminous quality to it, Angel Stellar has this dark sexiness that also makes it a perfect date night or a nighttime fragrance. This fragrance is surely strong, but thankfully not nuclear enough to cause headaches. It can easily last 8-10 hours - especially during the colder months. I would say that it can be cloying during high humidity or warmer days. But all in all, this is an excellent Angel flanker that I would definitely repurchase. I got the 50ml bottle, though so I’m kind of bummed that it doesn’t stand up. That’s my only complaint.

Анонім

Not getting pistachio but then the weather is warm, and my skin always amplifies differently. I get something similar to the original Angel on someone else (which I enjoyed), probably not as spicy. I get fruitchouli. Back then, the the original smelled like bandages on me so I had to give up on it. This one fixes the loss :)

I’m a Muse lover and I have maybe 2/3 of a bottle left. Savoring it until I decide we are close to it going off. I got a small sample of this in a recent order (trying Blush) and I am obsessed. I immediately purchased a 100ml bottle. It’s like Muse’s sister, not quite as earthy but has the creaminess that I love about Muse. There is also something in this that reminds me so much of SJP Stash, which was a long time love of mine. I had to go back to it to check the fragrance notes and sure enough - patchouli and pistachio. That one is more masculine but it’s absolutely phenomenal. So glad to have found this beauty! Update: This is LITERALLY so much like Stash without the additional masculine notes. Love.

Анонім

Not my Angel. But it might be worth trying out a small bottle. Scent is bolder than fantasm. The opening is super nutty but does dry down way nicer…. Reminds me of muse, but way more angel.

Анонім

Honestly disappointed. The first smell was very warm even spicy. I liked that it smelled like freshly ground spices. However after an hour or so and it just seems flat. I dunno if something was wrong with it at Sephora or what. I didn't even smell the pistachio and bergamot. It's not a bad smell quite nice actually but nothing interesting very woody.

Анонім

This smells more like nutty chocolate than prada candy night, or lancome tresor vanilla noir or angel edt ... I love patchouli..here I just detect chocolate..great for winter. It's a pleasant scent.

When I first sprayed Mugler's Angel Stellar, I was initially put off because of how intense and savoury the pistachio was on opening. At that point, I'd decided that I wouldn't even bother with this fragrance and just stick with the OG Angel. However, the scent lingered on me all day, blending the OG Angel's signature patchouli richness with a creamy, nutty pistachio accord. I'd attribute the creaminess to the vanilla bourbon note which does a lot of heavy lifting here. It softens and warms the other notes and you can definitely smell it prominently in the dry down. This perfume has really impressed me. I don't think anything has or ever will smell remotely similar. I purchased a 100ml bottle but I'm considering picking up another in case it gets discontinued like so many other gems. If you're a lover of gourmand scents and want to smell unlike everybody else, I cannot recommend it enough. It definitely is a stellar fragrance. Update: I did purchase another 100ml bottle. Angel Stellar is just THAT yummy.

Fragrantica please add the perfumers: Louise Turner and Jacques Huclier.

Анонім

I will die on the hill that this is one of the best fragrances Mugler has ever made. I hope they never discontinue it!

I always hate "food" smelling perfumes. Angel Stellar is the first one to change that for me. I was scared of this perfume for so many reasons: i have a love hate relationship with the parent, OG Angel and as I said, the chocolate and pistachio stuff sounded strange to me. I don't like KAY ALI at all. However, I got Angel Nova and Blush and adore those two perfumes. Mugler sent me a sample when I bought Blush and I sprayed it and at first, i was like whoa this is like a cigarette smoke on clothing. Not for me. But a minute later, it was incredible. It's multi dimensional, complex but beautiful, and not in a creepy niche perfume way. It's sweetness and creaminess are gorgeous and the pistachio is very chic. Again, I hate food perfumes but this chocolatey pistachio is nice, I admit. I don't understand why Mugler doesn't release the name of the perfumer. Are they using AI to develop their fragrances? If so, charge less, dammit! The haters of this perfume are entitled to their hate, but I think they are misjudging it similar to how people misjudged Jean Paul Gaultier's La Belle Flower Edition. That one has a similar gorgeous post-spray loveliness to it. Both of these perfumes, I have to wait a minute for it to activate, if you will. Mugler did a great thing with Stellar. I love this and I also love their new stand up bottles. Well done but please tell us who made this perfume; hiding that info is sketchy IMO.

Анонім

I am more of an alien flanker fan. I dont get pistachio at all and the patchouli is too prominent. Not for me.

Анонім

I cannot express how much I love this perfume, the pistachio and bergamot blend together perfectly for a sexy long lasting scent that leaves an impression wherever you go, which is exactly what I seek in a perfume. I wear this anytime I have meetings or want to feel extra confident.

Angel Stellar feels like Mugler trying to hand me a cosmic postcard instead of a cosmic experience. It’s pretty, it’s bright, it’s optimistic - but it never crosses the threshold into the emotional voltage I expect from the Angel lineage. I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t move me. Angel Stellar is one of the few L’Oréal‑era Muglers that actually behaves like a mood rather than just another accessory fragrance - it’s not a protagonist, not a creature, not a cosmic deity. It’s a cosmic interlude, a pink‑meteor shimmer. It’s a star-shaped mood, not a star-shaped myth. The opening is a burst of sparkling fruit and airy florals, almost effervescent, almost weightless. It’s pleasant in the way a sunbeam is pleasant: warm and surface-level. The problem for me is that it stays in that register. It never deepens, never mutates, never reveals the creature, the shadow, the drama, or the cosmic density that defines Angel at its best. On my skin, Stellar is bright, clean, and gentle - a celestial shimmer rather than a celestial event. It’s the Angel universe translated into a “wearable daytime” dialect. If Angel Elixir is a nebula and vintage Angel is a black hole, Stellar is a glimmer on the edge of the atmosphere. Pretty, but not transformative. I enjoy the idea of it more than the experience of it. It’s a lovely interlude, a soft cosmic breeze, but it doesn’t feel like a protagonist in my Mugler constellation. It’s a side character: charming, harmless, and emotionally light. I wear it when I want to feel luminous, not intense. It’s the Angel you wear when you don’t want to dominate the room and it's one of the few Mugler's that doesn't collapse in heat. Although cold can collapse its fruity top. On days when I want to feel like me, I reach for Fusion, Muse, Aura, or Angel Vintage. Stellar is one of the Mugler's I wear when I want to feel like a lighter version of myself. Hopefully people will understand this if you regularly wear some heavier Mugler's, Stellar acts as a cosmic palette cleanser to these. Stellar is good for when you want Mugler cosmic shimmer without the emotional voltage or when you want to feel cosmic but not dramatic, not mythic. Stellar is the pink meteor shower of the Mugler universe - beautiful, fleeting, luminous and light. It's the daylight Angel. It has pink-cosmic Mugler lightness without the emptiness (I'm looking at you Angel Nova, the cardboard cut-out pretending to be a star). It’s the interlude, not the opera. Fantasm opens in a similar manner to this. If choosing between the two, Fantasm is far better than Stellar in my opinion, because it offers a far more interesting scent journey. If you want a bright, airy, optimistic Angel that never overwhelms, Stellar succeeds. If you want the emotional saturation, the texture, the myth-making - this isn’t the star that will pull you into orbit.
