Smells exactly like an afternoon spend at your balkan gradma's backyard, the fig gives off this sexy vibe, it may seem sweet for those who haven't lived near fig trees.

I had this as a teenager in 2011 and distinctly remember that very "female" sweet blood type smell. Its not that it smells fishy at all, or even like a body part, it's the vibe it envokes when you catch the end of the smell. I just bought a bottle on notino, after hearing it was discontinued for a bit and reading the reviews I craved to smell it again after standing under a hot fig tree on holiday. Its not exactly how I remember it, but still very similar and that small difference could be because I am a lot older now, body chemistry has changed. Initial spray is really horrible, cloying, smells like a plug in air freshener or a clip-on toilet freshener. I thought it was going to give me a headache and I was really disappointed, I dont remember it being like that with my original bottle. After 5 minutes the fig started coming through and it transformed to a very green scent, the air freshener smell went away and it sweetened, smoothed over, died down a little. My dad said he could smell it from a few feet away outside , from one spray on the wrist. While it is fairly non-controversial and actually, to a less sensitive nose, it could be reminiscent of the kylie jenner cosmic type smell slightly, I still wouldnt say its a safe blind buy or a crowd pleaser or generic in any way. I will be keeping it and wearing it because considering how strong and heavy it is, its weirdly suitable for warmth and sunshine, I love the dry down, its very unique, my partner would also wear it as a male fragrance. So its a great all rounder.

I have been very reluctant about whether or not to buy this perfume, given that the reviews were very polarizing, leaning mostly towards negative. But since I am a huge Mugler fan, I bought it anyway and I was disappointed to discover it's not really all that shocking. :D It is very fig-centered, very green, it smells like when you are in the middle of a fig harvest (if you've ever been to one). There is a dash of salty and woody smell on occassions, but mostly I smell green fig. I like how it's not a sweet perfume, but I can't say I'm swept off my feet with this one. EDIT 04.08. -- I have to say, this perfume really shines on extreme heat and humidity, the caviar gives it a really rich, almost sensual note, and a tad bit of sweetness as well. *Now* I like it a lot. :D

I had this perfume when it came out. Then it was discontinued and just all of a sudden, reappeared in 2025:) How I figured it out? I was sitting in a restaurant and I smelled it. I was like...no it is not possible...they dont produce it anymore...but it was the same intoxicating smell...so I month later I saw it on notino. :) Could not believe, I purchased a bottle immediately. The scent is the same, weird from the initial spray, but then it settles into this airy, woody, but sweet scent that you keep smelling since you want to figure out to what it reminds you of ...but you cannot :D extremely long lasting and projection is crazy! One word- a masterpiece! Ahead of its time. Not a safe blind buy.

One word: revolting. I ordered this last week from Mugler, so no question over authenticity. Sprayed and thought it was acceptable at first. In the afternoon, I sprayed again before going out. I continuously gagged for the 1.5h I was away and had to jump in the shower the moment I got home. It is sour, green, moist, salty and with a touch of something nutty. I thought about framing the bottle, as I love the design but just the sight of it makes me nauseous. Absolutely horrendous.

I cannot express how happy I am to have finally discovered such an iconic fragrance for summer that ISN'T citrusy-coconuty-standard tropical forward, like most summer perfumes out there. I live in a small town by the Mediterranean and Womanity blends perfectly in the summer breeze, to the point where I feel like I am part of the scenery lol! Everyone comments on how wonderfully fresh and sweet I smell without being able to pick out that it's an actual fragrance doing the work 😄 Seamless and beautiful!!

I can confidently say that this is the most captivating fig-centered composition I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. Green, fresh leaf accords intertwine gracefully with sweet fig milk, while the addition of caviar lends the fragrance a refined complexity, preventing it from becoming one-dimensional. The result is elegant, feminine, and luminous. Although longevity and projection proved moderate, this may well be a consequence of testing a vintage bottle. The flacon is perhaps the most brutalist aspect of the fragrance; to me, the sculpted faces carry a certain darkness that contrasts with the beauty of the scent itself. I completely understand why this perfume has achieved cult status and can only express my sincere regret that it has been discontinued. They simply do not make them like this anymore. A beautiful, beautiful fragrance—and a privilege to have worn it.

What can l say? Perfection! I love the bottle, and it just makes me happy when l spray it. Top notes don't last too long but then it settles into a fresh sea breeze, fruity but not too sweet. Complimented many times when l wear this. I started with the Elles variant, an easier to wear fragrance (a very successful blind buy!)as Womanity isn't for everyone. It's a seriously different fragrance that l can't get enough of.

I feel like the juice should be light blue. To me, it’s the perfect aquatic, beachy feminine scent without smelling sunscreen-y. It captures the feeling of sexy ocean-kissed skin. It’s salty, warm, and sensual. The ultimate summer perfume. 🐚🌊🩵

Womanity 2010 is absolutely worth hunting down. Nothing, absolutely nothing.. smells like this. Salty fig + caviar brine + pink pepper + milky wood. This is the feral, humid, glowing side of Mugler. It’s the last time a major designer house released something feral, salty, lactonic, fruity, metallic, and erotic in one breath. They gave us Aura as our forest creature, and this Mugler creature feels tidal, like a mythological creature emerging from the sea at dusk. It's feminine but unconventional. Artistic, bold and absolutely "not pretty" in any traditional sense. A pink fig that is alive, a salty caviar note that feels like skin after desire and a metallic hum that feels like a creature waking up, or a Mediterranean goddess eating figs by the sea, wearing a sculptural Mugler outfit, radiating confidence and not caring if anyone thinks she's "too much". It's a scent for someone who wants to smell different not "nice". It's bold, it's strange, it's very Mugler. Irreplaceability: 10/10. No dupe. No alternative. No modern brand would dare. Womanity isn't a contrast, it's a collision and the perfumer bottled that tension instead of smoothing it. It is the kind of scent that exposes a brand’s courage.. or lack of it. Modern houses don't do collisions of sweet and salty, fruity and marine, pretty and disturbing. Imagine a 2026 focus group smelling Womanity:- "is it supposed to smell like this?" "It's salty... why is it salty?" "It smells like food, but also the sea, but also fruit" "I don't know what to do with it" "It's weird" ...and that is exactly why it is brilliant, but modern houses don't chase brilliance. They chase predictable return on investment. Clarins Mugler believed in maximalism, emotional chaos, alien glamour, olfactory theatre and scents as characters, not accessories. L’Oréal-era perfumery (and the industry at large) believes in mass appeal, solar florals, fruity sweetness, influencer-friendly prettiness and "safe" innovation. Womanity is the antithesis of modern luxury perfumery. It's too feminine for niche, and too niche for mainstream. Most perfumes want you to feel pretty, clean, sexy, warm or fresh. Womanity makes you feel provocative, humid, alien, slightly feral, unplaceable and unforgettable. Most brands don't want to sell danger anymore. They want to sell comfort and are terrified of anything demanding interpretation. Womanity is not just a perfume, it's a statement:- "I dare you to understand me". Umm..there is no reason I should love this. All the notes are everything I hate in a perfume. I got a partial bottle of this on eBay bc I LOVE the bottle and I figured I’ll just refill it with a different MUGLER perfume. Well. It arrived. Out of curiosity of course I sprayed it on my skin when I first got it. And my eyes lit up immediately. I think I actually audibly said “woah”. I have not stopped huffing my arm since and now unfortunately since this is discontinued in the US I’m probably going to end up spending a crazy amount of money to rebuy more of this someday. It’s salty but sweet, fresh but somehow soft.. it’s so feminine but in a biological way. I’ve seen reviews that say it smells like vagina and it DOES NOT but I understand why they say that bc it smells like feral intimacy. It smells like having the best sex of your life with the hottest person on earth.. near the ocean? It is 1000000% an aphrodisiac and I think that makes sense considering caviar is an aphrodisiac. I smell this and I feel extremely fertile. I’m not even ovulating and I think I just ovulated anyway. And no. it doesn’t smell like fish either. And when I say it smells like sex by the ocean please understand that I hate oceanic/marine scents and is why I fully expected to hate this. This is oceanic done in a way I’ve never smelled before. From what I was anticipating to how it actually smells, I’ve never been so wrong. Oh Mugler, the fucking genius that you are. Why the fuck would this ever be discontinued? This and Angel Muse being discontinued in my country I honestly can’t forgive it and it will never ever ever make sense to me.

To me, this scent smells as pink as the bottle, it is so so so feminine....not in a candy sweet fruity way or in a heady perfumey way. It smells like the warm skin and beauty....like when a pretty lady brushes against you and she leaves a little of her natural smell in the air.... There is something "biological" about this scent...maybe it is the salt? People say its vaginal fluids, I disagree. It is the same tinge of salt as when you smell blood or sweat, but blended together with the sweetness of fig, it smells like warm sweet skin....sweet but savory.... This perfume smells like a scent a very very pretty creature would excrete from their pores naturally, just by existing. A beautiful alien with sparkling skin? Maybe Venus the goddess of love?? I have long been a fan of Mugler, particularly Angel, but smelling this for the first time, I think this is my favourite Mugler scent, if not my favourite perfume ever. I disagree that this is challenging. Maybe I am a weirdo but I think men would enjoy smelling this on their date, even if it is a little strange. Unlike many challenging perfumes (like my fav Angel), I sense nothing about it that can be perceived as "ugly" or "offensive". It IS different for sure and you will stand out from the cloud of gourmands and screechy florals. But it smells so natural and feminine to my nose that I'm sure everyone would like to be around you...

Womanity is one of those scents I can never describe the same way twice, I’m always noticing something new in it. It opens green and ripe, like a freshly cut salted fig. There’s also this weird hint of something baked, but not sweet, more like a salted biscuit or a cake with no sugar. That part disappears quickly though, and it settles into this green, salty fruit. Then the aquatic side comes in, and it’s heavy. Sometimes it feels bright, like the Amalfi Coast, and other times it turns dark and damp, almost swampy. For the first few hours, it sits in that space before drying down into something much more marine. Very salty, very oceanic, but not fresh. More like standing at a port, warm salty air, slightly metallic, like boat chains heating in the sun. There’s also this creamy, milky note that comes and goes, probably from the fig, which makes it feel almost skin-like. And that’s the thing,, it becomes very bodily. Slightly animalic, like warm salted skin. Creamy, lactonic, almost… secretion like. Honestly, it smells like what a cyborg’s skin would smell like after swimming in the Mediterranean. Or what aliens would create if they tried to recreate the scent of humans. I know that probably doesn’t sound appealing, but I find it completely addictive. It feels like a whole experience, like it’s painting images rather than just smelling nice. To me, it perfectly sits between synthetic and natural. Bold, strange, erotic. This is my signature scent because it mirrors me - alien, green, juicy, salty, marine, a bit animalic. It’s a masterpiece. Not a crowd pleaser, but if you get it, you really get it. Projection is moderate to strong, longevity is solid (around 6 hours on skin, longer on clothes). And I really wish they still made body products for it (sigh)

Spotted they’d brought this back last year or so, dithered over going in blind and it went out of stock, as soon as it came back I figured I didn’t want to miss the chance again and went in blind and very happy, I think my quest for my perfect fig frag has been fulfilled! I got this discounted so it was £55 for 80ml, incredible value considering the performance and the fact the bottle is like having a supermodel on the shelf. Opens with a pungent blast of pure citrus (I get grapefruit, possibly bergamot) and wood, very acidic and not at all sweet, almost floor polish territory. That quite quickly settles down into a very pretty, comforting scent - softly fruity, musky, a little bit of lactonic creaminess. The saltiness comes through in a “sea air” note but it’s not overwhelmingly marine, similarly there’s a clear woody base but it’s not dominated by that. I think the strongest impression is from the fruity notes but it’s not like the super sweet, candy-or-shampoo impression that “fruity fragrance” tends to be associated with. There’s a little bit of the green notes and rhubarb that show up in Aura as well but it’s nowhere near as green and bitter as that or something like Debaser. I think there’s a bit of a vogue at the moment for savoury notes in “my skin but better” musky compositions and this feels very ahead of that curve, it smells a bit sterile on paper but really radiates from skin warmth. Unlike current gen skin scents though this has the assertiveness you’d expect from Mugler - it’s not Angel/Alien level beasty but it definitely projects and lasts all day. I think it’d be fun to layer this with simpler scents to see how it’d bring out the woody/musk/green aspects but you’d probably need a light touch to avoid smelling overwhelming. Feels reasonably unisex but a little feminine - I think this is a unique scent but if it’s close to anything the citrus-fig-woody accord is similar to Fragonard Beau de Provence which was a little too heavy on stereotypically masculine woods for me to want to wear, so that might be a decent option for someone seeking a ‘masc’ alternative. Also leans spring/summery but I think versatile enough to be an all-year, everyday scent with signature potential.

Love this, so unusual and beautiful. Good news is back on Mugler’s website and it’s 25% off. I’m just concerned about the reformulation though.

I love it, very unique. You will not find a dupe on that anywhere. Long lasting, moderate sillage. The bottle is just gorgeous. Too bad it was discontinued, it is my summer scent. Salty caviar with fruity figs.

not really getting any caviar. its a glamorous actress just past her "marketable" years smoking a cigarette and pumping her gas. its a dreamy sweet bath and bodyworks cloud in a cheap motel lobby, that same fruity tropical flower to cucumber modernity. it's an angel over the interstate, but she's a billboard and you're drunk yada yada consumerism. for my own sake i'll agree that she's gay.

The most unique perfume I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. I adored it. It evokes so many memories of a special time and it was such a great performance scent. I truly wished they would bring it back. I feel you could spray this and 3 days later you would still smell it. I did hear they had it for a while on the Thierry Mugler website recently but it appears to be gone now. A unique and seductive scent! LOVE!

L’Oréal keeps killing Mugler’s masterpieces. Womanity is gone, discontinued. Congrats to this unintelligent illiterate greedy simple minded entity, which took over a house built on art and turned it into a clearance shelf.

I always come back to you. Womanity was my signature fragrance for years when it released. I was stealing my mom's Alien so she bought this one for me, Mugler girlies. I also got the ring with solid perfume inside. This is special, creamy woody fig with a caviar twist. Very artistic but somehow simple, bold and soft. Smells like weird girl to me, best thing in this world. I was so happy to see it was available again, my favorite Mugler, a little part of my story. I can't wear anything else for now...

It is such a perfect performer. Lasts and lasts and projects but not too far in winter. Predominantly woody it is not a photorealistic fig scent. It is sweet and comforting. It was such a perfect pillar like Angel and Alien. I loved Womanity and Aura. So wrong to see the last two disappear from the shelves.

omg it is disgusting to me, i really thought that i was gonna like this but this smells so gross to me, the savory part is real. i ve tried many perfumes but i have never hated a fragrance this much. it smells dirty genitals

Wow ….. it’s literally what Aphrodite smelt like emerging from that clam or whatever. It really makes u feel grounded in ur flesh n bone n tendons n glands like if you ever feel disconnected from your body and sensuality this will guide you back. Without being a scary stank niche animalic. Which I love but this approach is really appreciated. I feel so damn pretty Update: the final dry down is kinda disappointing. The opening is so bewildering there’s like even a starchy rice smell going on it smells so alive and weird then after 4 hours it’s just department store musk….. oh well no full bottle for me

A strange one. I'd describe it between green, nutty, marine and savory. Before looking at the notes, I was smelling almonds and seaweed. The latter is likely the caviar paired with fig leaf. Intriguing.

I found an old bottle of this in the mini size. Something I love about Mugler is that they are exceptional at making a product, a talisman if you will, that can be cherished. So many of their discontinued fragrances don't just come in little tubes but rather smaller versions of the full size versions of the perfumes. It adds a really exciting aesthetic dimension. Regarding the juice itself it is a beautiful mouthwateringly salted fig. The caviar accord is really delicious and unique. Overall it is quite fruity but not sickeningly so. It's a strong perfume! Definitely worth a shot if you love mugler overall, or fig or caviar perfumes more broadly. I haven't smelled anything else like it, and the mini sized "talisman" (not sure what it's called outside of the context of Alien) is reasonably priced if you can find it.

Give it time! When I first smelled this I was very insecure about how I felt about it… It made me feel weird and it was slightly off putting. But with time I started to really enjoy this scent profile. It’s very salty and definitely green. Do not expect any sweetness from this! It’s a unique fragrance that has really grown on me and I’m looking forward to summer when I get to wear this in the right environment!
