Fantomas

This is a SINISTER fragrance. Unsettlingly unbudging? I wore it all day and left the gym in the evening still smelling like someone spun tires on a smashed melon in a parking lot on a hot summer's day but god if it didn't make me feel like a freshly unboxed cyborg with those metallic notes... Love it.

Fantomas by Nasomatto: the most disgusting fragrance I have ever smelled.

I wear this to the office when I want to piss off my coworkers. Whether it does or not, it gives me the feeling of being unapproachable. This is an aggressive, plasticky, amber-forward scent bomb, but it's also nuanced and complex. The melon lurks like a phantom in the background throughout the life of the scent, which feels eternal. I have shirts that still smell like Fantomas even after several trips through the wash. It lingers on fabric, on skin, and even in the air. Do not wear this around anyone who claims to be sensitive to chemicals or fragrances unless you want to make an enemy of them.

I love it, the perfect edgy candy perfume. Bubblegum / melon / plastic / gunpowder. The only problem on my specific skin composition is that it turns into a soapy patchouli after a few hours - perhaps an odd batch? Other than that absolutely love, will be giving it a second go (and third and fourth...)

Day 1 of me working my way through all my perfume samples with a random number generator brought me this little number at 10 am on a Monday for my WFH scent of the day. First 2 minutes: Wow. Its a slutty, sticky, evil Band-Aid. The smell of a private equity, AI-ran, plastic surgeon's office. The smell is distinctly medical, synthetic, horny, judgmental, and it makes me feel impending doom. My stomach drops. I love it, I hate it. 2 Min +: Alright, it is a good blend of sweet with a bit of an atmospheric ozone to halt it riiiight when it starts to get too sickly sweet. Wait maybe not. Am I nauseous? This should only be applied after breakfast. 2 Hours later (on a walk on a warm summer day): Delightful! This smells like finding an old, brittle, plastic sack of hard candy in a wooden cedar cabinet. So hard to compare to anything else I have tried. To my nose it has an unhuman quality. Synthetic but not fake. However it mellows out after an hour of wear. All the razor edges get rounded off and its just generally a nice scent. I don't know if I would buy a full bottle, mostly bc the little 1ml sample I have is so punchy every time I dab it on, I would never get through a whole bottle. I have only tried this from a dabber vial. Is it wearable? I mean I hate that question. Is it wearable to you? For me personally, I would probably not wear it to a cousin's christening at 9 am on a warm day. But I would wear it to the Nose Job consultation I have with the doctor with really smooth hands and glowing red eyes. It would be perfect if you have a augmentation consultation and then a religious event 1 hour after, or maybe just going out with some pals and saying "eww smell my wrist. It's... kinda good... right?

A bizarre but rewarding scent. Nasomatto's Fantomas is the scent of: - freshly upturned, dark, rich soil in front of a New Orleans mansion - an impossibly wealthy mountain lion - a slightly overripe cantaloupe served at a Michelin-starred restaurant - Karl Lagerfeld's cat Choupette - being ravaged by a multimillionaire vampire (net worth $50m+) who sunk his teeth into your neck and you loved it - Patrick Bateman from American Psycho - the leather interior of a Mercedes G-Wagon after two people fucked in it with no AC on - vapor, the fictional street drug from the FX series Legion.

My skin chemistry seems to react to Fantomas wildly differently than most of the reviews I have read, which makes wearing it such an interesting experience. The performance on me is fantastic. The opening is a bit weird at first, but as it settles, it turns into this musky, metallic scent with a very, very faint sense of toy plastic. It makes me feel like I belong in Cyberpunk 2077 or like I am half a cyborg from the future. An absolute masterpiece.

this is a perfume from a blade runner world. a beautiful sci fi cacophony.

I get the melon in the beginning but it pretty much evolves into a musky fruit candy scent shortly after.

This fragrance smelled like death to me, the cold gunpowder, the smokiness the burnt rubber. I got no fruit from this at all. It was pure death and dark. I was so upset by the fragrance itself. It made me feel depressed. Also, I was hoping for that futuristic fun vibe that everyone said it was giving, but unfortunately, no this is not full bottle Worthy and is not blind by safe at all. Literally hospital like deathly smell do not reccomend I’m still haunted by it

Sweet ripe melons

Am I smelling the same thing as y'all? I hated this on paper so I took one for the team and sprayed it on my skin and holy moly. On paper I was getting zero of the melon smell and it smelled like iodine and hospital. It's slightly less offensive on skin but I still get no melon smell. It smelled like burnt rubber or plastic on me for the first 20-ish minutes and I hated it. I scrubbed at it for a while and it's still strong but the overwhelming burnt rubber dissipated and it smells very masculine and plasticky but still not great. I get the metallic notes and a little bit of fruitiness in the background but I couldn't pin down that it was melon at all. It's a very unique smell that does evoke thoughts of the titular French villain so it gets a couple of points for innovation(?) but I WILL be scrubbing my arm raw in the shower in approximately 15 minutes. If someone approached me at a bar wearing Fantomas I would be confused and concerned.

The melon in this is so buttery and fresh. The smoke and gunpowder are really prominent and kind of helo give it an inky vibe, being dark but also sweet. The base notes in this remind me a lot of Absinth by Nasomatto, but this has a lot more depth than Absinth. I also really love the caramel note. It actually works pretty well and I feel like a good introduction to gunpowder notes. Short longevity after just one spray but after layering a few more its solid, and all the notes are really present. I really like this one.

Really, really on the fence. There is something so nostalgic about the scent itself... it is like fruit packed into tupperware that you brought out to a picnic, right before, during, and after a torrential thunderstorm, where you are trying to run inside and you just get absolutely soaked. Fruit goes flying out of the container and you finally make it to safety; drenched, sticky, a little cold but also smiling ear-to-ear. But then you get a breakup text the next day as your date is now pissed you ruined her/his favorite pair of galoshes. It is really unnerving and BOY does it pack a PUNCH. Still can smell on skin after a shower and a scrub.. as mentioned, unnerving. Plastic smokey fruit and rainfall... I might have to try this again in cooler weather.

este perfume me recuerda a mi infnacia el olor a plastico nuevo de un jueguete mesclado con fruta que a estado en el calor y el azucar de ella se a caramelisado. definitibamente algo que no es para llevar en cualquier momento. pero algo facinante para ponerlo en tu piel y recordar algun momento del pasado.

It isn't half as controversial as some of the reviews will make you think it is. The melon and the rubber create an unforgetable mix. It smells like a bubblegum stuck to the sole of your sneakers. It's bold, energetic and a bit weird. It makes you think about hot summer days, as you walk to a beach after a night out. It smells youthful I would say that it gives an 'authenticly fake' vibe. I love it

Fantomas, my beloved. I have a 5 ml decant of this perfume, and I can't decide if I should go for a full bottle. I'm obsessed with this fragrance. It opens with a strong, synthetic melon. After it dries down a bit, I can smell something super sweet. The mix of melon and the overwhelmingly sweet accord reminds me of my fav cocktail: watermelon juice mixed with cheap rasberry vodka which has a super sweet, artifical smell. It dries down earthy, it smells super soil-like.

It's such an amazing, versatile and unique perfume. The melon adds a never seen before fruitiness and the plastic note can only be sensed for a short time and then its just gone.

Most unique and interesting fresh opening i have ever smelld in any fragrance, yes there is a plastic note but in any way it does not smell bad and it last like few minutes, then melon notes kicks in and after 15 minutes later base note starts to evolve and its really beutifull base with cashmeran and nice patchuli i don't understand why people hate this ,its definitely deserves more appreciation then hate it gets ,probably beginners who only like citrus freshie doesn't understand the craftsmanship in this perfume, and yes bottle look so dam good 5/5 💙💙💙

gagging on a melon flavoured condom soooo hottttt

Lovely. The opening is weird and addictive, melon, rubber, smoke. The drydown can be quite familiar, it shares similarities with Megamare presumably because of Ambrocenide (I'm not no scientist, but I can definitely smell it here as well and we know that Megamare has an Ambrocenide overdose). Personally I really like the smell of it, so for me it's not distracting/bad at all. Earthyness with patchouli creeping through as well in the drydown. Definitely on my list. Masterpiece by AG.

I DON'T GET IT AT ALL. SMELLS LIKE ABERCROMBIE THAT'S IT. I THOUGHT IT WOULD SMELL MORE WEIRD AND GROSS SO I AM DISAPPOINTED

Definitely a most interesting and unique freshi in my collection more i am wearing this more i appreciate, can't understand people talking about plastic note, its melon note which smells like newly made plastic but in a fresh way and doesn't last more then 30 sec on my skin ,Definitely deserves more praise then hate .

I liked this more on paper, the melon was way more apparent. On my skin this smells like the inside of an empty Tupperware, down to the stuffy feel of the smell of plastic. It also uses the same screechy superamber base present in most Nasomattos/Orto Parisis so this is a strong no from me

smells like burnt melon caramel. it's pretty nice. i definitely smelled this before somewhere but i don't know where. i would recommend if you want something unique. a great sweet fragrance.

what an interesting fragrance, on the spray and early dry down it reminds me of caramilk, a caramel filled chocolate bar I used to eat a lot during college in canada, and at the same time there's something deep down that very slightly reminds me of melona ice cream. you do get a plastic smell but it's not burnt at all, more like slightly melted with hot air dispersing that sweet plastic smell, not overwhelming or offputting at all, and I really like the melon note, it's one you don't come across very often at least in what I've tested so far, over time it starts smelling like M&Ms shells, or more precisely, that smell when you first open a bag of M&Ms, and further along an earthiness starts to come out might be my favorite out of nasomatto's lineup between sadonaso and narcotic venus

Super weird and interesting. The melon and lactonic notes are especially strong on myself, but very fresh and smooth. I do get a plastic synthetic feel from it, though the lactonic quality is too overpowering to smell the individual notes. Nevertheless it’s really unique and distinctive. I strongly recommend sampling it before purchase
