Such a nice composition. Gentle and floral aromatic style of fougere fragrance. I tried a few Nishanes and I experienced many disappointments. But this one is hit for me. It is floral but masculine, nice lavender, cypress and oakmoss. In the dry-down this is mainly woodsy scent. Classy, uplifting, non-offensive vibe. Must try for all barbershop scents. 8,5/10.

B-612 is a fantastic modern interpretation of the classic woody aromatic fougere, and it’s probably one of my favorites from the genre. It opens with traditional lavendar freshness, then the conifers and camphorous patch come marching in and stick around for the life of the scent. This pairs beautifully with the woods and cashmerian creating a velvety smooth texture. The tonka is notable too, and it’s adding a very nice almondy sweetness. This lasts 8 hours on my skin with about 6 sprays, and it creates an awesome, gentlemanly bubble around you for quite some time - at least 3 hours if not longer. I like wearing this to work or to more casual daytime occasions in all seasons but summer. Overall, this is my favorite from the house and should definitely be on your radar if you want a fougere with a masculine, foresty vibe. 9.1/10

I like it. Masculine scent. Transitional seasons. Woody aromatic scent.

Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea, but make it a bit manly...and I mean that in the best possible way. I adore this, and wearing it requires me to be in a certain frame of mind as someone who usually prefers to wear stereotypically feminine scents. B-612 is herbaceous, fresh, earthy, calming, and green yet warm all at once. A forever 11/10 favorite, with the added bonus of the title alone being hard to pass up for this literature nerd.

What an absolutely beautiful creation. I typically don't like fougeres (a lot of the ones I've tried smell so old school) but I have been getting into some.of the modern ones lately. This is probably my favorite fougere. It smells so natural and comforting. It's an earthy dense, natural lavender, cypress, cashmere, extremely natural smelling. This is a masterpiece to my nose. There are only two downsides: it's only available in 50ml bottles, and the performance could be better. Don't get me wrong, the performance isn't bad, perse, but for the price and the extrait concentration I think I expected a little more in this department. I could easily see this being my signature scent if it wasn't for the price. Sadly, I've yet to see a more moderately priced alternative.

Love at first sniff, classic barbershop style dna but something is different here. Not reinventing the wheel but man Nishane did this one well. Perfect work scent to smell clean and professional.

Nishane #8 – Rough and Tumble B-612 has yet again a family friendly, endearing brief but the name taken in a vacuum is rather unappealing if you ask me. Perfume names are very important to me and coincidence has it that i’ve only ever bought one perfume mostly because of its name and its a Nishane. It will be the last Nishane i will talk about but thats for another day. As i said, i care alot about the name of a perfume and these “number names” really don't hit home with me (same as the one done by Marc-Antoine Barrois for example). B-612 is the name of a fictional, tiny Asteroid which is the home for “The Little Prince” in a 1943 French novella. As far as im aware, the story has many elements portraying imagination, childlike wonder but also human nature and the contrast between childhood and adulthood. To be frank, i couldn’t imagine where the scent will go. Initially i thought maybe there will be a contrast between juvenile accords and more mature ones but truthfully, i had no thread to start on so it was a blind plunge. Turns out, its an aromatic but not just any aromatic, its a fougere! Even in the opening phases i can sense an influence from the base that holds sway over the herbal aromatic side. Immediately it struck me as a more complex composition overall. The herbal side reminded me of something like artemisia, thyme, basil or parsley, that type of herbs. Turns out, i was in the right direction because its cypress although the note is, once again, greatly influenced by the rest of the composition. Its still sharp as usual but it seems like the note itself was “flavored” if that makes sense. Its the lavander that “de-natures” the cypress because i can sense the soapy influence in the background. Infact, the lavander ends up taking a strong stance and the soapy side gets more prominent as the scent settles but we aren’t talking about a unidimensional perfume so calling it a simple lavander scent is wrong. The oakmoss also adds grit and im inclined to believe it influences my overall perception of the scent but the spotlight is far from being on the oakmoss this time. The cypress and the lavander duke it out in B-612 and the battle is quite rough. I enjoy scentprofiles with an edge and a bit of roughness and tumble. Im yet to meet this strong clash between lavander and cypress and its very interesting, unique even. I found this perfume educating in some ways and i can safely say that i haven’t smelt a perfume that highlights lavander’s soapyness as B-612 does. This “battle” of the two main notes ends up having a peculiar result because the combination of the two develops an almost sour nouance. As in, green-soapy-sour, in that order. So far this is the most unique Nishane out of the discovery set. Its the one that takes the biggest departure from the usual softer profiles i’ve experienced from the house. My only criticism is that the sour nouance is something im on the fence with. Also, i cannot connect the scentprofile to the story of the fragrance. I don’t pick up on any “child-like” elements that would counterbalance the cypress and the lavander, two notes i personally categorize as mature. Actually, it is a properly mature scent to my nose. It is an “adventurous” scentprofile so perhaps one could tie it to the story through that lense but its far fetched if you ask me. Still, really interesting fragrance at the end of the day and kudos for that.

Not a review as such but surely this can be classed as an aromatic fougere given that it has the foundational scent profiles of lavender, oakmoss and tonka bean?

Анонім★★★★★

Looks like this one does not work on high humidity. Smelled like pesticide on my skin on multiple attempts. I had a different first impression in a drier and mild weather. I will finish my test vial, and then, never again.

This is my favorite from Nishane. Such a classy and modernized fougère, done extremely well. Clean and soapy like a fancy shaving cream.

Анонім★★★★★

It's a nice, pleasant fougère done fairly well, quite smooth and easy to wear. I have Tragedy of Lord George though and the rough and somewhat dirty edges to that one give it the (big) edge over this. The musky dry down of this one also takes away some points off it for me. Probably wouldn't finish the small decant I have of this, because of that.

Got this a few days back and giving it's first wear it's projection is soft and very calming the opening is not loud you get a nice hit of lavender. Glad I got this to add to my Nishane collection I have 3 more coming next week. This is a great woody fragrance.

Анонім★★★★★

B-612 takes the idea of a classic fougère and reworks it into something much smoother and more relaxed. From the opening, you get a clean aromatic profile with soft lavender and a slightly green, herbal touch. It hints at a traditional barbershop style, but without the sharpness or soapy intensity you’d expect from something like Rive Gauche or Invasion Barbare. As it develops, the fragrance shifts away from that classic structure and becomes more about texture. The woods and musk come through, giving it a soft, skin like quality that feels calm and effortless rather than structured or assertive. What stands out most is how wearable it is. This isn’t a loud or attention-grabbing fougère. It’s a modern interpretation, smoother, more subdued, and easy to reach for in almost any setting. It keeps the spirit of a fougère, but trades the traditional barbershop edge for something more refined and comfortable. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Projection: 6/10

Fougère enveloped in a cloud of cashmere and musk. Fluffy cloud like texture. Abstractly can see how the inspiration relates to space/floating through space. Super unique and creative creation.

Upon first sprays, Tom Ford Oud Wood came to my nose. After the 2nd hour, leaned a little bit towards Fougere D’Argent. For me, Fougere d’argent is way better and much more refined. Has a very good longevity 8+ hours with soft to moderate projection. A very high price tag for a 50 ml bottle. 7.5/10

This fragrance is amazing, but you have to let it macerate. I got this a couple weeks ago, and at first, it kind of let me down to be honest. For the price per ml, I was expecting something well blended and smooth, but instead, when I pulled it out of the box and sprayed it for the first time, I was met with a very loud and screechy cashmeran note, with very faint whiffs of woods. This left me disappointed, but luckily, I didn’t completely give up on this fragrance. After two weeks or so, I sprayed it on skin to find the cashmere still present, but much more pleasant and smooth this time. As I am writing this (about three weeks after getting the fragrance), it has evolved into a smooth and gentle clean scent, almost smelling like your favorite sweater in 65 degree weather. It’s such a perfect signature scent for a man, at least for me. So, what does it smell like? At first, you get a lot of cashmere, but it calms down within the first ten minutes. After that, it evolves into a clean, musky, and woodsy scent. That sounds very basic, but this fragrance is not basic at all. In fact, it’s very unique, but still mostly mass-appealing. It’s is actually quite hard to accurately describe this fragrance, but the best way I can is clean skin with a heavy cashmere sweater. Not an animalic cashmere, a very gentle and clean one that is still somehow masculine. This fragrance smells very natural, not like you’re trying too hard. Moderate, about arm’s length projection and I get about 6-7 working hours, with a skin scent to about 9. 10/10 would recommend to any man who does not need to announce himself with a fragrance, but instead wants to be known for a serene and calm scent. Edit: two weeks after writing this review, this is a compliment magnet. 10/10 so complex and beautiful.

This one is a very subtle and very versatile perfume. As it is said longevity is not really the main thing in a fragrance it's really true. The perfume in itself gives a different vibe. The top notes are really vibrant and when the middle notes hit you with the calmness and a hint of aroma fills the vibe. All in all a very decent one from Nishane

This turned into Abercrombie fierce on my skin??? 😭🤔😂

Cashmere powder bomb ! At first I wasn’t sure if I liked it I felt like it almost smelled a bit dirty but I must say it’s definitely one of my favourite from the brand ! Not sure if I’d say it’s a safe blind buy but if you like powdery style fragrances it could be worth a roll of the dice for the right price .. Rating 9/10

Анонім★★★★★

It's good, I just don't really like it that much. Things can change, but now, it's collecting dust.

Анонім★★★★★

This scent is a shadow of itself nowadays… what happened here?

Анонім★★★★★

Its a wonderful scent, however you have to raise your arm to your nose to be able to smell it. I applied 9 sprays and was underwhelmed with the performance. You people selecting enormous, strong, or even moderate probably havent even tried it. Thats too bad as I was looking forward to this one. Ill throw it in the back of the drawer and revisit when its hot out. 6.5/10

Анонім★★★★★

A fantastic masculine fougère. Lavender soap, dry green cypress needles, and a warm, sensual velvety cloud. Extremely smooth, cozy, and rounded. Simple but very well executed. The only downside is that I could see myself getting bored with it over time. Very solid performance—10+ hours with moderate-to-soft projection.

This smells like a chemical lavender that’s been given the mentholated fuzzy treatment that some of the Le Labo fragrances (Thé Noir) have been given. It like A.I. was asked to produce a scent “approximating lavender.”

Анонім★★★★★

Smells expensive, love it. I dont usually recieve complements on my smell probably because i tend to underspray, but even tho i put 2 sprays behind the ears i have gotten a lot with this one!

Анонім★★★★★

The scent is very pretty one of the better lavender scents. The bottle is also very beautiful and I love the theme. But it’s too expensive. I don’t think the smell is so good considering the price. It’s also not that long lasting at least on me. If it was cheaper and lasted longer I’d love to have it in my collection.

Анонім★★★★★

I like the dry down in this scent but you have to wait for it which takes a while. It does last though. This fragrance gives off a very strong chemical smell in the beginning which is mostly due to the lavender and type they are using here. I think they went a bit overboard with the cypress though which is keeping this scent from smoothing out faster. It’s like the polar opposite of Beau De Jour and MFK Masculine Pluriel, dominate lavender fragrances but different ways of communicating the scent. Some how I get this ironed fabric starch thing or this fresh picked up clothes from the dry cleaners vibe with the hot mist in the air. It’s not bad but it can be too strong. Sample and see but I’m torn though I’m not sure if I like it or not but I do keep coming back to see how I feel. I can respect this scent even if I’m 50/50. Score 7.5/10

Анонім★★★★★

Very nice lavender. Elegant. In the vein of MFK Masculin Pluriel.

Анонім★★★★★

This is just way too in line with a vintage fougere scent to make me feel anything like a rock hurling through space. Nice enough, but a big factor that kept me from exploring perfume was more traditional, masculine fragrances like this. I don't dig it. Woodsy and a bit musky. I'll pass.

Got a 10 ml sample of Nishane B-612 from Scent Angel and discovered the olfactory equivalent of vaporware. Two sprays, six sprays—doesn’t matter. It’s like spraying existentialism: a whole lot of nothingness And yet, the reviewers out here are writing essays about its “cosmic lavender journey.” Either they’re lying, auditioning for Rotten Tomatoes, or just in love with the sound of their own voices. B-612 goes on your skin, disappears entirely, and takes your wallet with it.
