Green, spicy fruity scent, feminine to unisex, not bad!

This fragrance is weird and I love it. Very green on me and I don't get the fruity notes but the patchouli in this is divine. Very witchy, a little hippy. I didn't know if I'd like it at first but I find myself thinking about it when I'm not wearing it. Someone posted its a 90's garden witch vibe and it really does have a Practical Magic type feel to it! This scent has a way of turning green notes into a skin scent. It's absolutely magical.

This perfume was a disappointment for me. Luckily I only ordered a sample. On my skin, the note of sweet fruits is very prominent, it is very reminiscent of Gucci Rush. If it weren't for the noticeable thyme, the scent would be completely banal. And the last word I could call it is elegant. It reminds me of a multivitamin or fruity room fresheners.

Big love. It’s truly unique and approachable, not “strange” or hard to wear at all. It has the fruity type notes of Erba Pura/Kirke/Amber Oud Gold but toned down a bit and adds a some indolic florals. But then they cut those saccharine notes with earthy herbs and moss and bright pepper then harmonized with earthy sweet patchouli and resins. With my bottle I get much more tobacco blossom, rose, and musk then is reflected in how others rank those notes. Long lasting with mid projection, thankfully not overwhelming “beast mode” nonsense. Completely unisex despite what the reviews say.

This scent is so beautiful. Somehow I feel compelled to smell my wrist every couple of minutes, especialy during the first hour after application. It is very long-lasting and with excellent sillage. I am so happy I tested it in a niche perfumery before buying, because for sure it is not a safe blind-buy. I disagree with the statement that it is difficult to wear. I will add though that it may be too strong for the office. It is more suitable for special occasions.

Weird perfume, a combination of fresh medicinal herbs, citrus cleaning notes, macerated fruit and dirty garden gloves. Conceptually I like it, but it’s not wearable as a scent. I do like that Malia is not playing it safe—the definition of niche perfumery.

First thing I noticed is a smell of burnt herbs or aromatic wood. Then it becomes warmer, mossy and earthy. It's a good choice if you like your perfume smoky and earthy, but not fond of apothecary notes, vanilla and immortelle. This one is probably good for fall, very calm.

90s garden witch

Interesting fragrance, do not call upon Malia for a sweet fun fruity experience. Malia is one with the earth. She has soil on her hands, fresh clippings of greens rubbing into her arms and juices of fruits soaked in her skin. Malia is a natural earthy musk for a woman who loves to smell of her garden.

This was a total scrubber for me. I suspect that the 'Marjorum' note is giving me dry green pungent vibe. I get a similer vibe from Italica. Italica is well loved. So, its my nose, not either of the perfumes. Long story short: hard pass for me!

I don't like to say a fragrance is a mess or that it smells like a cleansing agent because those always feel like a cop-out review. That is, however, how I felt when I put this on my skin. On paper, it was nice! I like the house of Nobile. This one was so STRONG on the astringent and earthy notes but not in a good way. I got none of the fruit, none of the florals... On me it was like an 8 year old tried to replicate Bal d'Afrique and threw in some stuff from under the kitchen sink. Vetiver and oakmoss are notes that my chemistry has either a love or gag relationship with.

I tried Nobile 1942's Perdizione yesterday and Malia today. They seem to be closely related, except that Perdizione had a very pronounced sweetness, a kind of honey note that Malia does not. But Malia is fruity, cherried, kind of pleasantly insipid, very spring/summerlike, somewhat feminine but not too much. So far I'm not excited about any of the three samples (Estroverso, Perdizione, Malia) which I ordered from Lucky Scent. They all fall very closely into a category of summery, fruity, sweet.....and forgettable.

EN. To label "Malia" by Nobile 1942 simply as a women's perfume due to the presence of fruity notes would, in my opinion, be far too reductive. Malia is a twisted and tragic sorcery of sour citrus and bitter woody green herbs, lush, velvet, exquisitely corrupt florals, and a bright, rosy psychedelic pink peppercorn that borders on utterly unhinged. This is a perfume that feels like a subversive folktale told in shrieking ballads via an experimental rock opera.

I was very scared to try this on myself because when I first sniffed it, it screeches of sharp lemon note. It's that cheap citrus car refresher in a stuffy car + smell of car seats. But I carefully sprayed it on my ankle (and looks absolutely insane sniffing it). I am intrigued. It's a journey. For my untrained nose - On paper: There is still that artificial car refresher smell but it's immediately overtook by an aroma that reminds me of a freshly brewed Turkish coffee. Sweet and warm. Slightly burnt sugar comes. I'm obsessed. Then it smells like burnt coffee (or molasses?)... then a really burnt white toast. There's definitely a medicinal cough syrup feeling to it just like what @Yaayyya says. I wish I could try to dissect what I'm smelling, but I don't know most of the listed notes so that's how my nose interpret it. I just pray to the spirits that it smells like freshly brewed coffee + slightly burnt sugar on my skin. But I smell like interior of a car, where you have left medicinal candy sitting there for month so it's gross, dusty and melty. To be fair that sharp lemon note DOES haunt you, I literally have that smell stuck in my head, like a catchy song you don't particularly want to listen to.

Freshest batch from 2021 opens with a strong hit of nutmeg-y, clove-y spice. Smells like spiced Christmas cider. Somewhat fruity, a little fermented, very, VERY spicy. Pretty linear - doesn't change much on drydown. An extremely unique scent, for someone who's bold and daring. Definitely an attention-getter. Masterfully blended. Good projection and longevity. Overall a 9/10.

Such a weird perfume, I’ve never had anything like that! Very mystical indeed. It’s bright, spicy and fresh, and underneath all that spiciness there’s softness and sexiness. I don’t understand it at all, it’s changing all the time. It’s like you see an old witch in a black costume walking towards you. Her head is covered with a hood, you can’t see her face but you’re a bit scared. These are the spicy notes of the peppers, tobacco flower and marjoram. And then deep under that hood you can see the sparkles of her beautiful big eyes. You’re terrified but can’t look away, they’re calling you. These are the sweetness of flowers and fruits, musk and patchouli. This witch is scary yet mesmerizing. I don’t understand this perfume but I can’t stop using it.

Malia. A perfume for a woman who needs to please no one but herself. This one is uncompromising and distancing. For a person of character, experienced and strong-minded. Mature, perhaps not exactly approachable but certainly confident and wise. Starts off with bitter marjoram. Tart fruity notes (think freshly picked red berries, especially cranberries) are present until the very end. I smell something dirty, as if wet tobacco leaves, along floral notes of tobacco flower and apricot-like osmanthus, with just a hint of rose. Overall, it makes me think of red wine, drunk in the south of France. Great wines, refined taste, fields and fields of hay, perhaps a cigarette, just for style. This is complex, unapologetic and beautiful in an unconventional way. Unlike anything I've come across yet. Great performance, suitable for any time of the year. Not a safe blind buy.

This is absolutely my favorite perfume ever. For me, it sits somewhere between several notes that I really like: Spicy, peppery, creamy, fruity, musky, flowery, but never too much of any one thing. It's sensual and delcious, defiant and humorous. It's not like anything else. An Enigma, but not even anyone's idea of an Enigma, that's what an Enigma that it is. There's something that smells similar to hot spiced wine about it. But maybe with a little honey poured in. And drinking that wine out of a pewter mug, next to a coal fire in the cellar of a 14th Century Italian Church. At night. When it's raining outside. In the actual 14th Century.

I'm really impressed, and I can't say if I love it or hate it. It's a pure evil in a bottle, and not because of the name - it's just very-very bitter. I've been on the hunt for a refreshing, bitter-herbal, boozy and very medicinal, cough syrup-smelling fragrance for months, and I finally found it. It smells just like all of this from the paper strip (plus just a little bit of something rotten to make it unusual and intoxicating). Wonderful, exciting, expensive smell... But it smells absolutely horrible on my skin! :( Very aldehydic and pungent, like a cheap lemon essence, mixed with a cheap men's cologne and something else very familiar from the 80-s - a soda drink or a shower gel... I'll have to try applying it on my clothes, as I really-really want to make it work!

At first spray and the first ten minutes I did not like this. It was so odd smelling to me. After that, it smelled more and more to me like BR540. That was one I didn't particularly like. I like this one better. If I'm smelling it in the air around me, wafting off of me, it really smells to my nose, like BR540, but smelling it on my arm I get so much rosemary and herbal-ness. I love that part so much more, but I don't get that in the air. This is going to stay a strong like for me, but I won't be buying a full bottle. The longevity is 8+ hours and projection is good too.

Following the concept, he imagined the fragrance of a modern and innocent witch, a woman who seduces with a bright smile, who pretends to be a child, but who draws strength from the earth to stun its prey. For this, he chose an unusual flower with a double nature: refreshing, but sweet; delicate, but intoxicating: the osmanthus flower. Its absolute is very used in High Perfumery because it gives very vivid nuances of apricot. When used in more commercial perfumery, it is often exploited to impart fruity nuances (apricots and plums), and sometimes its leathery facets are exploited. Malia has notes of mandarin, velvety fruity notes, pink pepper and marjoram at the output. This accord was created to result in a narcotic effect. Then, the body carries notes of osmanthus, rose, tobacco flower and black pepper. Finally, the base includes vetiver, patchouli, benzoin, oakmoss and musky notes. On the skin, the fragrance of Malia is a true spell. It had everything to be extremely feminine, but the floral and fruity side merges with the spicy peppers and the bitterness of the marjoram, resulting in something confusing and addictive. The rose was worked in the background as the link between the top and bottom of the composition. Tobacco blossom, benzoin and patchouli appear to form a sweeter, almost resinous paste, like those used for incense in the Middle East. Then, the oakmoss brings the indescribable sensation of something moist over a very prominent musk, of those who scream for cleanliness and make us think of shampoo. I have not yet learned to decipher Malia! It is like a pie, whose batter was made with the base notes, denser and darker, and the filling was made with fresh apricots, dipped in musk and seasoned with peppers for simmering over low heat, instead of the cloves we usually put in jams or jellies. It is sweet and bitter at the same time. It gives contrast to the palate, but its scent is divine! On my skin, Malia projects from yards away, leaving a ruthless trail and its lasting is incredible. Another positive point, when dealing with a niche perfumery segment, is the uniqueness. I do not remember feeling similar fragrance until the present moment. I am under a spell!

This gives me a Zoologist bat vibe. Fruity, earthy, a little rotten... :P but not in a bad way. A little sour even maybe. A similar pulpy overripe almost rotten fruit mixed with a tartness and florals. Not getting rose or musk but the drydown is herbal and the majoram comes out.

as much as I love Nobile, not sure about this particular one. The other creations that I sniffed from this house were quite solid and hence I set myself up with high expectations. The opening is something that i was hoping it would somehow miracoulosly hold but well, it didn't (not sure what I was thinking as most frags are totally different once the initial burst is gone). The second phase is a warm and nearly honeyd floral (nothing cloying). The drydown I find particularly unattractive...it's messy, maybe herbal, smelling like soil. the frag doesn't last long enough for me to justify the price point tho, and if I take into consideration how short the opening which was probably the only phase I liked then am happy I did not blind buy this one. more for you :)

Almost gormand but I love it. Sweet dried fruits and osmanthus with a fresh touch. Tobacco flower? maybe just a light hint. In the dry down musks, gorgeous incensey/myhrr nuances (maybe it's the benzoin - but it's wonderfully mastered here) and dried tobacco leaves. Impressive interesting combination of elements. A sweetie spicey flower I would gladly wear.

Delicious sweet dried apricots without being syrupy. As Malia warms up she unpockets a soft pack of cigarettes. Mild, light smoke but the scent of the foil wrap on the pack dominates. Fruity and warm with a subtle metallic vein. There are some decent contrasts here but not enough to hold my interest for very long. Soft and delicious with a gently charismatic smile and a wink.

Wow I did not expect this.... this is probably the most unique spicy sweet yet good smelling feminime perfume I ever smelled. smell: 8 Lengh: 8 Price x quality: worth it

It is really different than other sweet perfumes. There is something seductive, romantic and so pretty in Malia but something is also weird to me. It doesn't mean that i don't like it. I quite like it and wearing for special days. Great job from Nobile 1942.

I have to agree, this is a special perfume and I love the unusual ones. It has both dark and light in it, the theme of the witch is quite fitting. And it perfectly compliments Rudis which I bought also. I think a mixture of those two could be the bomb, I will try that as soon as possible. Very well done!

Wow this is just gorgous!! I never thought floral could make a sweet notes! To me this is love at first sight. (Edit 13th Feb 2016) Damn it, i really loved this one, it's like the fresh floral fruits with white linen SMACKED with dusty tobacco that makes me cough a bit but the floral fruits are holding the tobacco back and winning the scene. There is truly peppers, oakmoss, oranges, and some patchouli but none is showed clearly here as the main spotlight is on the folrals, fruits, and the tobaccos. Geniusly done and superbly captivating.
