I rarely wear fougere, mainly just because I really just dislike the usual scent profile of them, but Pegasus just does it so well. Definitely an easy wear

🐎 Pegasus (Parfums de Marly) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I almost walked away from Pegasus. On a blotter it felt odd and never clicked with me. Thankfully, I gave it a second chance on skin, and that's where the magic happened. On my skin, the famous almond and vanilla are beautifully balanced by a cool metallic edge that keeps the fragrance elegant rather than overly sweet. Even in 30°C summer heat, where many sweet fragrances become syrupy or synthetic, Pegasus stayed remarkably smooth and refined. Over time, it quietly became my signature scent. Not because it's the loudest fragrance in the room, but because it feels effortless to wear. It has personality without demanding attention. One lesson Pegasus taught me is simple: never judge this fragrance from a blotter alone. On skin, it's a completely different story.

Pegasus is a perfume that I don’t mind on others or even on paper. It doesn’t necessarily smell bad on me either, but it’s very flat on me. I just want to wear something else whenever I have it on

What a beauty. Well macerated as I do with everything. And its amazing. Sprayed it 6 hrs ago and can still easily smell it off 3 sprays. The vanilla and almond really come through

Checking out a couple of fragrances from the house of Parfums de Marly. Founded in 2009 by Julien Sprecher, the brand takes inspiration from the elegance and extravagance of 18th century France, particularly the court of King Louis XV and the lavish celebrations held at the Château de Marly. It blends that rich history with a modern approach to perfumery. With that said, let's start with Pegasus and see what it has to offer. Right from the opening, I get bergamot, heliotrope, almond, and cumin. The bergamot is fresh and bright, while the heliotrope brings a soft powdery vanilla quality that blends beautifully with the almond, giving it an almost marzipan like sweetness. Those two notes work incredibly well together. The cumin adds a slightly bittersweet edge that I think is what some people describe as metallic. To my nose though, it simply adds a unique character. It isn't sweaty or animalic in the slightest. It just gives the fragrance a little extra personality. About 20 to 30 minutes in, the fragrance starts moving into the heart. I begin to notice the sweet powdery side of the lavender along with a floral note that reminds me of jasmine. It's a very pleasant stage and everything feels incredibly smooth and well blended. After about an hour and a half to two hours, the sweetness becomes more noticeable. The amber adds warmth along with clean musky facets, while the sandalwood and vanilla create a milky, comforting base that lingers for hours. I think this fragrance is just beautiful. I completely understand why it's so often recommended to people looking to dip their toes into niche fragrances. I can honestly see this working for just about anyone regardless of age or gender, unless you're only into very traditionally masculine scents. To me, Pegasus is definitely unisex. I don't find it overly feminine like some reviews make it out to be. I'd put it in the same kind of unisex category as Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir, Kilian Angels' Share, or even Althaïr from Parfums de Marly. This fragrance is criminally underrated. It actually stopped me in my tracks. It was one of the Parfums de Marly releases I had heard very little about, but I decided to try it on a whim and ended up loving it so much that I paid full retail for a bottle. If your skin chemistry works well with it and you're willing to branch out from the Parfums de Marly fragrances that get all the attention from influencers, I definitely recommend giving Pegasus a chance. You may end up loving it just as much as I did.

The scent itself is not bad by any means, but personally I don't get how this is rated as a male perfume here when it's so similar to Hypnotic poison.. The DNA and ingredients are extremely similar and I'd love to smell this on a woman, but it's way to feminine to be worn by a man.. Pegasus Exclusif on the other hand is much better

In the right weather, the right number of sprays, this smells is extremely addictive and alluring. love this one. i have worn this in the summer heat as well 40C , with about 4 sprays you can get away with this if you are not out in the sun too much. but in the rain , 28 - 32 C oh this is amazing.

Dirty woman armpit + Coin Metal + Almond it is disgusting

Layton, no offense, but I don't really like PDM perfumes anyway. Even though I gave this one more chance than it deserved, I'm getting a metallic almond (almonds actually smell good) and a burnt match-like scent (and burnt matches smell good :)). Even the vanilla has lost its character. Sadly, Pegasus, you're out of the picture.

Another day, another new list of notes from parfum de Marly's official website for the same fragrance. Top Notes Anise, Bergamot, Almond Heart Notes Cypress, Violet Leaves, Orange Blossom Base Notes Ambrox, Vanilla, Sandalwood People are now going to be simultaneously hallucinating anise, cypress, violet leaves, orange blossom and ambroxan. Even though it is the same scent. Ah! The mere power of suggestion. Remember to trust your own opinion on a fragrance. Notes are just marketing.

For me it smells like shaving foam, too metalic for me. It is also very elegant and masculin. It last like 6h and it has a preatty good silage. Overall PDM Pegasus is an 6/10.

Smells like one of those whipped pure glycerin creams in a tin dialled up to their maximum potency. Like if a sterile lab-grown lavender GMO plant was watered with pennies. Like an alien butch lover from Neptune with a slick back and skin made of lead. Simultaneously cold and heady. I get no almonds at all, and with my skin chemistry, what little vanilla there is turns synthetic. Ordered a 10ml decant because these notes called to me but little did I know I was in for a disappointment of the ‘I don’t know how to feel about this’ sort.

One of the hardest perfumes for me to describe. It smells like a sharp, dynamic lavender-heavy masculine fragrance mixed with sweet gourmand touches of almond and vanilla. There’s this bright metallic edge to it that feels almost cold and intense. Ever since the first time I smelled it, I still react the same way every single time: “Oh my God, this is so exciting and addictive.” I honestly still can’t fully decide whether I truly love it or not, but I can definitely say there’s something weirdly addictive and unique about it. It’s obviously not the kind of fragrance everyone will enjoy, but the people who love it seem absolutely obsessed with it. It reminds me of flirting with a man who feels completely unpredictable, like he could disappear at any moment, yet somehow also stay in your life forever.

OVERHATED - its actually a beautiul vanilla scent , it can fit men and women in all ages , one of the most versatile gourmand vanillas , the only downside is that it smells like plastic in the opening

Pegasus — one of those fragrances where one half smells almost something cheap, while the other faints from sheer divinity. I think that duality is exactly the point of it: on one hand, it feels incredibly simple, almost familiar, like something you’ve smelled many times before — and yet somehow it still comes across as completely original. The first time I smelled it, it felt deeply recognizable, but I still couldn’t stop saying wow… wow. It’s assertive yet gentle, cold yet comforting, wrapping around you like a blanket. That’s precisely why I dislike the Exclusif version — it turns the fragrance into something rough, almost vulgar, whereas the original is refined by nature. Overall, it’s a fascinating scent: slightly gasoline-like, with a distant echo of the Fahrenheit DNA, but smoother, softer, more polished. There’s even a subtle touch of mint running through it. Right after spraying, it can feel synthetically challenging, but it settles down very quickly into something beautiful. Honestly, one spray on the back of the neck can be more than enough.

On my skin this smells like a cheap hair spray. I find it overall more feminine than masculine, I am really surprised it's not listed as unisex at least...

Can't say I've ever tried any of P'dM's range but this one caught my eye however. At $349.00 ahh yeah never gonna happen ain't no way I'm ever gonna pay that much for a scent so I had to make it instead. Turned out pretty damn good, much like a Joop Hommé flanker to be honest. Floral (Fruity Gourmand) I'd say with warm musky woody modification as well. Like the whole heart of the scent is basically exactly that floral fruity like I used a few lavender esters to fit in with some of the fruityness of bitter almond & the jasmine aroma compounds and yeah worked like a charm. Not many naturals in this one and the base is quite luxurious and not cloying or dry at all. It's very much a heliotrope scent much like Joop Hommé which I was a huge fan of back in my teens and still going strong today. You either love it or hate it I guess. Didn't compound this did it via atomizing and it's very much a pyramid of notes. I'll probably make this in a 30ml to wear. Although to be honest it's very much a younger pretty boy scent, kinda too old for that now 😄 But hey look if your in your late teens or early 20's it would probably be more the way to go. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, might put it on from time to time for memories sake. Cheers ✌🏻

This shit smells so bad that made me almost cry. This is definitely top 3 worst smelling fragrances of all time.

I cant even write a proper review on it. I was told it smells like a box of nails but "in a good way"...I mean ill take it. Anyway easily my favorite Parfums de Marly scent & the only thing that comes close is Althaïr, (Which is honestly better but I personally like Pegasus more). Pegasus is the diet soda that actually tastes better for people who dont like sweet scents. Its where I first learned I heavily fw almond, and I honestly dont know if I can name a better almond scent. 94 Ovr

This reminded me of Van Cleef & Arpels Bois D’Amande and Bois Dore but Pegasus is more masculine in my opinion. I think the VC&A ones are superior fragrances, more potent and longer lasting. This is still very nice, better for men; it’s a semi sweet diet cola type fragrance and I really enjoy fragrances like these.

Great smell, but I’m either going nose blind or it’s becoming a skin scent after ~3 hours. Edit: second try with my sample and still enjoy the dna very much. Compared to the exclusif it is much more airy. I don’t get the “metallic” note from the almond, just a nice almond note. Not too sweet despite the almond and vanilla which is a plus for me. Still doesn’t seem to project incredibly well.

This is one of my fav PDMs and which i own. (Im unsure if this or carlisle is better) creamy , powdery and slightly metallic almond, and vanilla. im not keen on gourmonds, im not a fan of angle share or althair or anything along those lines, but this is good decent performance, but not overpowering and not too thick, very airy, Yes its overpriced, but i got it for 178 pound which is good 10/10

Maybe its just me because I feel similarly about Althaïr but there's something cheap about this to me. It smells exactly like a carwash.

I have tried so many PDM scents. They are all disgusting. Except for Herod, Herod is a masterpiece. Pegasus is almond/marzapan with vanilla soaked in mothballs. Literally the vanilla mothball smell is what i get for every single PDM i have tried (excluding Herod). I have no ides what vanilla or musk PDM uses, bit I despise it. Pegasus is definitely the worst for me next to Carlisle (what a mothball synthetic vanilla mess!) Or the underwhelming, very generic smelling Haltane. Just so linear. Its strong and lasts forever but my goodness, PDM fragrances do NOT agree with my nose. I dont think ive found a Perfume House I find more disgusting than PDM except the Spicebomb line by V & R. That stuff is exceptionally disgusting. PDM is the only perfumes I have ever actively washed off(i will never allow spicebomb on my skin). Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire got scrubbed as well (I LOVE vetiver, but that stuff is garbage). I digress. Its hard to focus when i smell Pegasus in the air. Thankfully ive only ever got samples of PDM. I will however, buy Herod when my decant is up. It's all I ever need from PDM. Its top 5 best fragrances by any house in my opinion. Pegasus will definitely be the last one I'll ever be willing to try from PDM. This one sealed it for me. I do not get the hype of smelling like vanilla soaked mothballs with a hint of wood or floral (depending on which PDM you get).

If anyone has a bottle of this that they would like to trade, I'd be willing to work one out. I bought a bottle of Carlisle by mistake. It was supposed to be Pegasus. I didnt realize it until I was back in my Hotel room. I have numerous bottles I'd be willing to swap. I have Bond No. 9 Lafayette Street., Pasha De Cartier. Valentino Uomo Intense, and many others
