Percival

One of my earliest PDMs, a true crowd‑pleaser. There’s really nothing to fault with Percival. It gives a faint nod to A&F Fierce but with more oomph thanks to the hedione and ambroxan, which work beautifully in the blend. Fresh, bright and boasting above‑average projection and longevity. There’s an easy sex appeal to it, the kind that pulls any gender into your orbit. Hey, it’s 2026 and your sexual preference is nobody’s business but your own.

Anyone else having performance issues?

This masterpiece was gifted to me from @chudnotes. PDM Perceval smells so fresh and clean. It’s like a masculine bar of soap that can be worn anytime and anywhere. It is also safely masculine, with a little powdery amazing fragrance.

Definitely a Montblanc Legend (EDT) on steroids.

I've recently tested this in the insane heatwave and it's by far the best smelling fragrance when you're sweating. It makes you smell like you're covered in sexy high quality shower gel (I have "Cremo Italian Bergamot", they go very well together). And it projects stronger the more you sweat. Makes a little clean aura around you that everybody will enjoy. Perfect for a hot summer. Also, I can't help but feel a similar undertone to Chanel Platinum Egoiste. Price is not a problem if you buy at a discount and get the larger bottle, totally worth it. It's gonna last a good while.

Very interesting niche interpretation of a very basic designer DNA. It has niche quality but still way overpriced for what it offers and what you can get for 40 bucks. Very masculine blue shower gel, with ambery musk at the base, and a bit spicy. I like it a lot but PDM can't help themselves but overprice everything. If you got money go for it but the dupes and inspirations will be almost the same

Ive only seen dudes and fragrance snobs call this one basic and hate on it This scent is super attractive to anyone who likes men. It smells like when a guy gets out the shower, has clean clothes on and you lay your head on his chest and inhale him in Very handsome

Easy reach, can rock this any season while the sun is out, its not impossible to rock at night, there's just better night time frags. Lasts long enough on my skin to overlook the extremely high price point. Non-offensive and masculine at baseline. Catch dis faka on a sale and you're good to go.

This is a safe fragrance that can worn for any occasion. Really not much to say other than its a good fragrance. It's high quality, and works well with my skin chemistry. 8.5/10

Percival is undeniably high quality, but not particularly unique. It has that polished niche refinement, yet the DNA is familiar and very crowd-pleasing. To me, it smells more like a luxurious designer fragrance than a truly distinctive niche creation.

You should really buy FIERCE or LEGEND. There is nothing special here that justify the price.

IMO the best summer scent for me

Opening was very fresh and almost soapy. Like a clean citrusy, almost aquatic shower gel. Initially, this pleasant sharp opening started blending with the mid and the base and created a very fresh designer adjacent smell. As the opening faded away, the mid is where you really start to smell A&F fierce. It was like a blast from the past, a huge nostalgia bomb. During this phase, I didn’t really feel think it was for me. It was nice to have a sort of high-quality niche interpretation of this nostalgic DNA, but I couldn’t see myself really wearing it. My opinion starts to change as it dries down further though interestingly, unless I’m getting nose blind to whatever musk has that distinct Abercrombie smell, I’m now getting a more subdued, balanced fresh spicy aromatic smell in the base. This is really pleasant to me, and no longer giving me that one to one Abercrombie replica feeling. I’ll probably revisit this another day to see how my thoughts change or stay the same. Edit: Coming back to this again. Similar to my last experience, around the 2-3 hour mark is when this is truly amazing. It has this fresh spicy, smooth ambergris-lavender-y clean masculine (almost barbershoppy) smell. Last time I wore it, once it passed this point, it started to just be a very linear amber base. But before it gets to that full dry down, this mid spot after the initial abercrombie wore off is really where it shines.

It was at discount in an airport and said to myself "hmm no tester bottle to check how it smels but hell at least will cost 200€ only" , i regret the decision even after 2 months from purchase still gives me cerutti 1881 signature vibes in the spike (first 10-20 min after spray) , after that give me boss bottled infinte for like 3 hours , and after all this time goes in that way of what they probably wanted to make with the perfume and still dont like it ....and still no improvements after 2 months of maceration. Way to overhyped for what this one gives and for sure not for me. Silage 7/10 Longevity 8/10 Smell 7/10 Versatility 7/10

Perfect for everyday wear, clean and inoffensive

Percival has the cold lift of Creed, and a slight medicinal cleaner of LV. Dries down quickly, which is the part i liked most. Freshy with a weak character. Its a creeper; you think it died after 2 hours but then you get a whiff 10 minutes later. It has altered the taste of my food twice in 1 day. Like if someone put an altoid in the center of your burger. Not a pleasant surprise. I would say it's for men that are overly nice and frequently apologetic. For someone that gets their oil change at Walmart every 20k miles. Imagine a guy that's deathly afraid of his biological sisters, that's the vibe im getting. Its ok, but maybe not for me.

Really really nice. I think this must be there clone of Bleu de Chanel, though it also has impressions of Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce. A combination of two of the biggest mass appealing fragrances ever. I mean that in all of it good, and less than good, ways...All the comments about ascribing "Designer frag profile with niche brand quality" are spot on. Very aquatic, amber, the aromatics all combine into a very 'blue' feeling, hard to pull out the many individual notes which are blending in to a cloud.

@GeorgeRussell63 to be honest, you’re not out of pocket for feeling that way. Percival has a cult following so people will be upset, but yes there are a few body washes that carry similar aroma.. B&BW’s Graphite is one. That said, I much prefer the quality & overall scent of Percival. The smooth lavender mixed w/ everything else is Heavenly 🤤

To the previous comment…. I swear my bottle of Percival had the same leak issue. These fragrances too expensive for this to be happening 😭😭

A luxurious clean scent, reminds me of mercedes benz man, sadly when I first got mine my atomizer was leaking like crazy everytime I sprayed it, quality control is an absolute must for something of this value, and for that I have a disdain towards this fragrance, all I can think about when I smell it is how mad that leaking bottle made me lol, the juice inside is great but PDM isnt a brand id expect factory defects to get into the consumers hands

It smells like 2016 hollister and abercrombie stores, smells amazing though but honestly get fierce, smells the same but obv lasts and projects less.

Among the most likeable scent profiles of all time without a doubt. I can't imagine a single soul would be offended by catching a whiff in the air. Not every fragrance has to reinvent the wheel - sometimes you just want to smell objectively good, and Percival got you covered in that case. What's more, is that the performance of the pre-reformulation bottles is absolutely bonkers, considering the scent profile. Belongs in the dumb reach hall of fame 🏆

If this scent was 150 dollars it would be one of the goats in my opinion. The price is egregious.

Overpriced for what it is. It's a designer scent but done in niche quality. By no means is this bad, it just smells like a more refined version of montblanc legend with 5x the price tag. IMO just get the montblanc unless you really love these types of scents.

Really a great take on the blue genre. Disregard any of the axe body spray comments, I really cannot believe some of the dumb shit I read on here sometimes. It's a Super-easy anytime wear and compliment getter. A few even had to know what it was so they could look it up. To my nose it's kind of a fusion of Dylan Blue and MB Legend thats more grown up. Most people recognize and love the main DNA. For what it is, special nonetheless, it is over-priced, mainly because of the PDM house name, so look for it at a discounted price. Its also a bit potent so believe me when I say 3-4 sprays is enough, more than that and it can get cloying for you and others. Projection and longevity is about average, 3 feet project about 4 hours, skin scent about 10. If you want to be one of the freshest men on the go it's a 10/10. Although given the price and avg performance, overall I give it an 8.75
