Perseus

It’s one of the most underrated but excellent scents from PDM. The grapefruit and bergamot opening is awakening and refreshing with a smooth and elegant woody and manly drydown. It’s definitely one of my favorites.

Perseus is a great grapefruit release from PDM, bright, citrusy and effervescent. Like a well-bred horse with impeccable manners, Perseus moves with effortless grace and poise. It feels as though it's floating rather than running, soft and responsive yet confident, carrying itself with elegance in every step. I have not tried or owned TdH (only a small sample of TdH Eau Intense Vetiver) to really compare between the two but it's a good buy if you can find it at a good price from discounter or FB resellers. The grapefruit opening is incredibly bright and uplifting with a divine freshness that lasts for around an hour or two. The dry-down is superb, blending amber, woody notes and pine into a sophisticated and well-balanced composition. The bright orange bottle is just as impressive, with its stunning and eye-catching design making it a standout both on the shelf and in the hand.

This is a dupe of Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree, but a good one, and definitely the best fresh fragrance from PDM. Castley and Sedley share the second spot, and distant third is Greenly which has a nice opening then becomes extremely boring...for the two hours it lasts. Giving it a like not a love, because Hermes did it first.

i acquired a sample of perseus a few months ago, sprayed it on my hand and really adored the scent profile. grapefruit with woods but had a dirty soil-quality to it that made it stand out, was really nice. i ended up purchasing a full-bottle, but i don't really reach for it too much these days. it's a bit hard to wear when you have blue or green freshies in your collection. i mean even sedley and greenley are easier and more appealing to wear than perseus imo. not sure if i can really recommend this if i were to be honest.

This is a grapefruit bomb which is very linear and long lasting. For summer this is just beautiful. you can literally spray two sprays and it will last all day and you will smell like you are on some tropical island smelling fresh and awesome :)

Overrated citrusy hand creme for old ladies. PdM has a dna that makes me want to throw the bottle out of a closed window. Boring and annoying.

at first i didnt like it. it seemed too citrusy, bitter and pungent but when i sprayed it on i m starting to like it more and more. it still has some of that harshness but in the air it smells really nice. also i hate geranium so thats probably the thing that i dont like in this frag.

The most accurate grapefruit i've smelled, very good for summer.

-Perseus PDM: I'm so shocked at how much I love this one. This is such a sophisticated citrus-infused, fresh aromatic woody beauty. Art of Wood by Lattafa did an incredible job with this DNA too but yeah, Perseus reigns Supreme🙌🏾

It's pretty great. I'm not over the moon with it or anything, but I think this is their attempt at a clone of the old Terre de Hermes. It still has a bit of that Flintstones Vitamins thing going on, but at the same time, does a lot of things I would want it to do. This one is very possibly a buy for me! Edit: I wound up buying it. Honestly, I think it smells closer to original Terre de Hermes than the what Hermes currently sells does, which has been reformulated so many times that it has lost key aspects of the original scent. That by itself makes it a winner for me. There are some extra notes in there, it isn't 1:1 the same as the original TdH, but it is much much closer than anything else I have found, and I have LOOKED.

Kinda like a woody, lightly bitter/sour sprite. Pretty good, clean.

Smells cheap and synthetic, like a arabian dupe company release. 3/10

Photorealistic grapefruit scent. Similar to TDH eau Givree but with a less sharp grapefruit note. Really underrated as a PDM fragrance. Nothing outstanding, but in my eyes still slightly unique, fresh and fruity. Overpriced, yes, but worth it in my opinion.

An explosion of rindy grapefruit further enhanced by vetiver and woods. For a citrus forward scent, this one easily wins the competition when it comes to longevity. Sillage is pretty decent too. It's perfect for high heat and could work both outside or at the office. If you can't afford a Perseus bottle, French Avenue has released a surprisingly decent clone called Pierce that's worth checking out.

Summer fragrance to wear in high heat. Excellent effervescent grapefruit & vetiver combination. Masculine leaning and office safe. Shukran Habibi!

I like the tangy citrus side of this scent which is undeniably juicy and uplifting. The woodsy part and granted it has good longevity, veers more into synthetic amber-woods territory. You could do worse and it should satisfy folk who want a performant citrus-woody fragrance, emphasis on the woody.

The fragrance opens with a strong sharp and sour citrus. Grapefruit and mandarin. This is a citrus fragrance that really lasts and projects. I can see the strength of the citrus turning some people off, but personally I love it. It lasts all day on my skin and clothes and dries down to a clean laundry scent. As if it was a citrus laundry detergent. Very clean and refreshing.

Absolutely love this one! I knew it would get popular. Love this fragrance so good she hit it on this one. Talk about long-lasting. Exactly all you haters are full of shit. It doesn't smell like anything out here. Y'all just hate cause you can't afford it. Or hell Y'all just hear the name and hate 😆

I really don't get why people keep insisting it's basically Terre d’Hermès Eau Givree—they don't smell that similar to me. Terre d’Hermès Eau Givree is famous for its crisp, unbeatable citrus-lemon freshness. In contrast, this fragrance opens with a juicy, mouthwatering grapefruit note that's in a league of its own。

Criminally disrespected and disregarded fragrance. Anyone who brushes it off with a simple "smells like Terre d'Hermes" needs to learn some nuanced language. If this is like TdH, it's like the final boss of TdH DNA. It's so fresh and juicy, lightly woody and creamy as well. It is a compliment puller for sure. Definitely my favorite freshie from Parfums de Marly. Luckily for anyone looking to pick it up, because it is frequently overlooked, you can get a big bottle on discounters for less than the other big PDM bottles.

Perseus smells like a grapefruit tree, with the actual grapefruit, leaves and even the tree itself. it also smells a bit like dirt as well, which is not off-putting as it sounds, if anything it smells different and rather quite nice. i will admit the opening has a bit of a sourness to it, but it quickly dissipates and you're left with a citrus woody dirt smell, which i'm guessing smells similar to terr d'hermes, and is very nice. i own pdm sedley and greenley, and i am very happy to have this in my collection as well, as i would say these 3 are the best freshies from the house. i would reach for this when im not in the mood to wear sedley or greenley and want something different. when i wear this, it's almost as if i am experiencing being outside near a grapefruit tree, and it's a really nice wearing experience for the spring and summer months. i can definitely recommend perseus.

Second PDM, and this is very very nice. To me this is blackcurrant and cashmere wood. First time smelling a blackcurrant frag and this is a very unique fragrance. Did well in high heat. 6-8hrs longevity. Good for office wear 7/10

This is so damn good. This is admittedly close to Terre d'Hermès, or rather, this smells exactly like I remember TdH smelled like all those years ago when I first smelled it. This was my first love, and this reminded me exactly why. This has a considerably stronger sillage though. I'll be the first to admit I'm a sucker for Parfums de Marly, I can't seem to find a single fragrance that I don't like at least a little bit... This one is much more my speed when it comes to "safe/fresh masculine fragrances" compared to something like the much more popular Sedley for example.

I’m not sure if people are getting fakes, but this stuff lasts forever! Caught whiffs of grapefruit/mandarin/vetiver through my entire 16 hour shift. Love it
