Valaya

Ive been sleeping on this for so long but finally pulled the trigger and i compleately get the hype! There is something in here that the clones or the similar perfumes dont have that is magic. Its warm at the same time as its fresh and i almost get some ever so slight smokyness underneath. Its so beautiful. Absolutely adore it.

This fragrance is so incredibly loved and hyped, so I had very high expectations for it! Unfortunately, it kind of fell short for me. It's very clean and aldehydic, almost to the point of screechiness. Very strong and long lasting. I don't dislike it at all, but I definitely wouldn't spend $400 on a bottle and I can't say I understand the excitement around it.

Valaya is nice, wearable, delicate and all... but are we this excited about a soft lemony musky scent? To me this is very much so the same category as Donna by Trussardi or Moonlight by Ahmed. I just dont really get what so original or impressive about it for everyone to be so obsessed and pay that price point. To me its a 'nice' scent, polite, clean, pretty, sure, but nothing that I would spend 250$ on. Performance is okay, it's quite subtle and I barely notice Im wearing it. Idk, I dont dislike it but the hype is so exagerrated.

I thought I would love this with all the love and hype it gets, but on my skin it dries down to a chemical hair dye like smell and I can't stand it. Even on clothes it smells suffocating and has a granny quality to it. Love PDM but this one is not it.

Valaya: can’t live with her can’t live without her

I finally had the opportunity to test it on my skin at the airport. I have had tested the Afnan dupe, which I gave away as it was too strong, too synthetic and too chemical. However, yes, they smell almost identical. The quality is if course different and you can tell it. Valaya is more well blended and smooth. It smells clean in a bit of invasive way (I mean not smooth, not soapy), orange blossoms, but I'm not crazy about it. I blame the synthetic notes and lily of the valley, that I dislike in general. 7/10

Not for me. There is a specific form of ambroxan that I despise upon opening and hate more the longer it lasts on me. I scrub scrub scrub and still smell it. For me, this smells like a public restroom. In the 90s there was a cleaner they used in school when kids vomitted. It smells like that to me.

Chose this one as my wedding perfume. I absolutely fell in love with this smell at first, always get compliments as the scent last almost a full day - leaves a stroooong sillage. BUT... I agree with some of the comments - I realised that I can use them only on special occasions since the smell is sometimes just too strong for me. I'm not that kind of person to change scents everyday, but I feel like Valaya is just too much for everyday wear, as I still do absolutely love them

I don't believe in the boogeyman in the sky, but this is the most *heavenly* smelling perfume i've ever encountered :,) I'd only use it for special occasions though

Astringent, fresh but not particularly pleasant. This honestly smells like a cleaning product like residual Zoflora but a weak version. Husband said "5/10 shaking his head with apathy". Absolutely no projection at all. A dry citrusy, wallflower floral aspiring towards the clean girl aesthetic. Do not believe the deceptive social media influencers , this isn't Delina or Delina Exclusif.

WHAT IS THIS??! I am a citrus/ green kind of person getting into the clean scent vibe. Oh boy, this is nowhere near airy. This fragrance is so overwhelming that it has color, temperature, texture and sound. It is a really BIG and white iceberg reflecting the sun, you cannot keep your eyes open. The cold air full of citric and chemical particles will burn your nostrils and dry them out. It is sharp, it pierces your brain. It is alcohol being poured on a papercut. What abou the siren? The siren will not stop! I fell like I am trapped in the traffic and an ambulance is stuck right next to me FOR HOURS. It is so loud, screechy. It is a sensory overload. My brain is being bombarded with more environmental input—lights, sounds, smells, and textures—than it can process. Symptoms quickly escalating from extreme irritability and restlessness to a strong urge to flee the space, cover my ears, or shut my eyes. it was one spray at the back of my left hand at the airport. It has been hours since I got to the hotel. I’ve washed my hands a couple of times, showered, and it is still here. I will not be able to eat. What have I done? THIS THING IS A BEAST. Longevity: ETERNAL which is quite offensive for a thing this loud. I am almost convinced Valaya is an entity.

Clean and elegant. I usually freshen it up with another fragrance, otherwise it can feel a bit heavy.

This was not the one for me because slightly complex greenish note that was there throughout the dry down. This made it not the "clean girl" vibe, but not also enough uniqueness to put in "special one" category. Not a bad scent at all, but at this price point, I would not buy.

The floral notes are quite sharp. I still wear it, but it's not a fragrance I really love

This one is very similar to angel dust the "white/gray cap" but Angel dust is better imo

One of the best unisex, clean musk scents on the market right now. Performance is good, but it causes nose blindness quickly, thanks to Ambroxan inside. It is soft but present. Like a second skin 9/10

Better than Oriana but still smells like diapers, just like Oriana lmao, I wouldn't wear it, NOPE.

I am completely obsessed with this fragrance. It was true, mad, deep love at first sniff. Valaya transported me to an ethereal world of angels sitting on clouds playing harps. It was new, yet familiar. Strong yet soft, important but not imposing. I can’t get over how much I love Valaya. It’s on its own level. It is definitely my life- long signature fragrance, the one I’ve been searching for all my life, my scent soulmate. ❤️

I like this but it reminds me too much of Fleur narcotique tbh. I think it’s peach + orange blossom combo.

This is fresh, clean and just meh. I don’t see the hate, but I don’t see the love either. It’s just a fresh clean scent. I don’t find it to be way too sharp so that’s nice and it is long lasting. I would say if you like a fresh clean, not Soapy, somewhat aldehydic scent try it. I don’t think it’s worth the price tag personally.

Overly cloying and strong scent. Smells like the slightest hint of if Raid cockroach spray was sprayed a week ago and then a sweet confectioner moved in. The sweet scent is powdery like those candies that would be crushed to dry pieces. idk. Don’t like. Very artificial also. 2/10

A fragrance that paved the way for a hundred dupes. A masterpiece, that cannot be denied, I bought every dupe I could find and kept telling myself I didn’t need to pay over £200 for 75ml of Valaya. Well look at me now with mud on my face. There is something extra in Valaya that even the best dupes cannot replicate. Projection is crazy, I get more compliments wearing it than I do for any other fragrance I own. I won’t go into the notes as everyone’s knows what it smells like, I’m just at peace with world now knowing I have this in my collection.

This is probably what Gods are wearing up there! The most beautiful musky clean white floral and totally unisex.

the ultimate fresh and cozy scent, like a freshly washed cotton shirt hung up outside to dry in the sun. it's refreshing, but not in a cold and sharp way. it's cozy, but not in a wintery sense. to me, this is best for casual wear or lazy mornings in the springtime, since it uplifts you in a way similar to the feeling you get when you smell your favorite dessert on the weekend. it is also one of my most complimented perfumes. i highly recommend this, i only wish it were cheaper!

Fresh & addictive orange blossom fragrance with a touch of Quentin Bisch's DNA. It got the freshness without being detergent-like. I know there are many haters of Valaya but I received so many compliments from it and I LOVE it too. I live in hot & humid city, also received compliments when traveling in Japan. Performance is enormous.

I tested a fresh manufacturer's sample spray recently, including the dupe "Radiance" from B&BW, and I remember them smelling identical. I purchased a bottle from B&BW when they had the $6 special a couple of months ago. Now I'm stuck with the bottle. I can't even use it for my curtains/linens. I'm sorry, but A LOT of women on FB fragrance groups talk about this being gorgeous, but...WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIIIIIIIIS???🫩😩 I don't like using the term old lady-ish cuz I'm getting older and I like some 80's scents, but MY GODDDD does this smell like what we mean when we say "old lady!" 🤢 Too bad I can't unsmell it! 😩

Overprice soap water

I'm sorry y'all are going to hate me, I have a personal vendetta against Valaya. Everyone says this is the greatest clean musky fragrance in the world but it's a sickly musky, screechy, woody mess! It's your 45 year old alcoholic aunt who thinks she's still "super hot", hits on married men, smokes a ton of cigarettes, and wears perfume-y body spray from Walmart. I even have a customer who comes to my store occasionally and I can tell she's in the vicinity when I smell the musk, screech, and smoke! And my god does Valaya leave a trail she radiates up to 12ft, and you can still CLEARY (emphasize how I didn't say faintly) smell it on your clothes after washing and drying!!! That's the only pro I'll give her. I just can't see how one would like this scent enough to make it their signature scent, wedding day fragrance, etc. I just can fathom it... anytime I wore my sample I regretted it, valaya is so musky and smells like funky body odor at times. Anyways that's my take on PDM's Valaya, bring on the thumbs down and blue balloons!!!
