I really love this one. Spicy, sophisticated and very mature smelling fragrance. Can see it being worn to Jazz Clubs, ball rooms and candle light dates. I especially love how "open" and dry it feels. Like some fragrances smell too heavy, but this one has the weight and doesn't feel obnoxious and humid, if that makes sense. It's on my wishlist for one of my next purchase. But the price is really steep.

smells like a rich old guy, not getting any tobacco or vanilla at all.

A vanilla-tonka bean base is enhanced with cardamom, cumin, and cinnamon for a spicy scent. I thought it was similar to Oudwood by TOM FORD.

Like all penhaligons: extremely strong and headache-inducing. But this one is rather original, so I don't really hate it. There's freshness, spice, sweetness and it's still very masculine. Spice notes are very interesting. Would love it if that wasn't that strong. Nocturnal, would work better in winter.

Анонім★★★★★

The somewhat dusty opening of cinnamon, tobacco and patchouli almost convinced my nose that this is a masculine fragrance, but the wonderful things that vanilla does to butter up and mellow spicy smokiness without turning it gourmand sweet is something Mr. Sam has done very well.

Анонім★★★★★

Sophisticated Spice blend. Profile smells expensive, unique enough to be a signature scent. Cardamon + cinnamon (+ all the other spices) make a great combination. Still smooth enough to wear to almost all occassions, and in my opinion, can be worn in summer, aslong as it isn't in severe heat/sun.

Анонім★★★★★

Hmmm. Wanted to love this. I get MENTHOL from this. a lot of it.

Glorified The One by D&G with a dash of Halfeti spices. The drydown reminds me of Amyris Homme by MFK. Smells better than those, smooth and expensive but performance is trash and at 3x the price of the D&G this is not worth it. Also, I’m not in love with the drydown. I would 100% get the new The One Parfum over Mr. Sam for this scent profile. Now penhaligons is releasing an intense version because they know performance sucks just like for 90% of their releases.

Анонім★★★★★

Amazing smell but not worth it over Halfetti. 90% the same and a much more expensive. It might be my immature nose but I just don’t pick up enough difference between them

Анонім★★★★★

Not a fan of a butter gourmand like this. I can’t understand people who like this but not my thing. It’s not bad at night though when walking on the streets.

This to me smells like a better, more complex version of tom ford tobacco vanille. You get tobacco, vanilla, and some baking spices and cardamom that really elevate it. I would certainly wear this in cold weather and for the holidays. And I love the bottle design, the top feels weighty and high quality.

A great fragrance, warm and spicy. Very masculine and inviting. The cinnamon’s at the top and stays throughout. Mixes great with the woods and tobacco. Sharp presentation and bottle. But surprisingly weak, especially for this scent profile, and completely disappears disappointingly quick. I’m glad to have it in my collection but the thin projection and sillage along with the steep price are significant downsides to an otherwise terrific scent.

Sexy dose of hot and cold. I envision a circulatory system diagram with the blue and red veins. Bit of a dirty club scent as it can get pukey smelling if over sprayed. Rabanne 1 million has that problem too.

I adore this fragrance, it screams classy and sophisticated, I often wear it at networking events and get compliments off of it. HOWEVER, I cannot recommend it too much due to its steep price, if you dont mind it though it is a strong 10/10

This is a bold, confident, flirtatious, and incredibly striking fragrance. If you enjoy luxurious, unusual, and mature-smelling perfumes, this one is definitely worth trying. Even though it has an old-school character, it never feels outdated, stuffy, or boring. Surprisingly, it still manages to feel fresh and full of personality. The spicy, woody, and slightly sweet scent profile gives it a very seductive and almost mischievous charm. Even though it's not listed in the official notes, I constantly pick up something in the background that reminds me of dark red cherries or overripe purple plums. There's a subtle sweet-and-tart fruitiness hiding underneath. Maybe it's the combination of cinnamon, vanilla, and patchouli creating that effect. This is a very enjoyable fragrance, but it's also quite a challenging one. While it can definitely be worn as a unisex scent, I personally prefer it on men. It's not the kind of fragrance that will appeal to everyone, and it's certainly not something I would recommend for every age group, season, or occasion. It feels much more special and selective than that. That said, it's such a unique and magnificent scent that it makes you feel confident, spoiled, and somehow powerful when wearing it. To me, this is the type of fragrance that experienced perfume lovers are most likely to appreciate and fall in love with.

Pleasant, strong opening spice. I don't get any tobacco. The cardamom, cinnamon, and pepper are present throughout. It isn't very strong, especially after drying down. Too pricey for what you get. 6/10

🐐My favorite and signature scent. Fall-Spring I wear this anytime I go out at night or meandering through the city. It just screams class, maturity, and like someone who loves opulence. 10/10 in my opinion and the bottle is crazy too. Had plenty of compliments on it in the last year. Performance is A- & certainly good enough. Had a girl compliment it on me after being out in bar for 6 + hours. I’d say this for late 20s and older crowd. I wear this and Lothair as my signature scents and they’re my two favorites. If you want to feel like a baller this is your scent it’s truly iconic in the best way.

Did you know the Famous Celebrity Cal Cologne of the fragrance world has this as his best of the best of his entire collection? He has it as his top 20 of everything he owns! This is one of his all time top favorites, and he has 100's and 100's of bottles and he has smelled 1,000's of fragrances maybe even more than I have smelled. The opening of this fragrance is unreal. Just divine, probably something GOD would wear that would tell other's you are in the presence of Royalty. I don't agree with all of Cal Colognes choices, but he 1000% got it right with The Blazing Mr Sam. This one is very very, special. It's like someone created the Fifth Element, just like in the movie the perfect specimen of Human Kind. Not saying this one is perfect, it could be, I need to give this one more wearing's to know for sure if it belongs to the category of "Holy Grails". I don't have a full bottle of this one right now, I will smell it one more before I commit to full bottle purchase. If your looking for that WOW factor, this one has it. Some fragrances are great, this one is beyond great.

A take on a "blue" fragrance for a rich gentleman. Very good but not groundbreaking. Doesn't need to be to stand out from most fragrances the last 3-4 years. Don't burn through this as an office unless it's Millar Monday. IYKYK 30 and up. Stay with YSL and LV young guns. Lifetime Fitness smells like they're circulating Y EDP from the air vents, but they're not. Should be 100ml for the price and match the big head and make me feel a little better. Barrier to Entry is not always a bad thing 50ish bottle collection. 80% chance of a repurchase 5 hours realistically with 2-3 "appropriately" projecting. 9/10 Lakers in 5

Was just at Nordstrom, this bottle of juice smelled insanely good. I have never smelled anything as good or unique as Blazing Mr Sam. Don't understand why people say this smells like Halfeti, I don't get halfeti at all, this one does not smell like Halfeti. Really wish they sold a bigger size 100 ML should be standard in my opinion that every house should offer. The bottle designs are awesome, but I might prefer more simple elegant design bottles like that of Roja, Guerlain or YSL private line, or the Amouage style glass bottles. Need to smell this again, but if it smells as good as it did the first time I will definitely be buying a full bottle of this gem.

Clean, fresh, quite complex and multi-layered, smooth and pleasant yet somehow still not very good overall. Maybe this one will grow on me as time goes by. The jury is out for me on this one, i tested it 5 months now. it starts peppery, goes apple with sandalwood, musk...a touch of balsam green spice and dries down to a vanilla massage with wood accompaniment. I like it and there's nothing to dislike about it yet i don't feel anything with this scent. Its neutral. middle of the road. Its probably good for work, its light and longevity and projection are average, it reminds me of a lighter Halfeti or Carlisle with the apple. Versatile, bright, inoffensive if a little bland. I tried a sample size and wouldn't buy a full bottle...its way too expensive for what it is.....resoundingly mediocre Literally 5/10

Анонім★★★★★

Spicy, woody tobacco vibe, but it comes off flat, generic, and kind of uninspired. Nothing really stands out or feels distinctive, like you’ve smelled this many times before. Not offensive, just pleasand in a boring way. And for what it is, extremely overpriced. Honestly wouldn’t recommend. 2/10

Анонім★★★★★

SMELLS NOTHING LIKE Halfeti, has it's own unique very complex scent profile. Love at first sniff, highly addicting, blind buy worthy. Could be the best from the entire house. Wow factor? 1,000/10 Expensive for the price for what you get. 10/10 for me.

Анонім★★★★★

The bottle design and the color absolutely fit this perfume. Its pure sophisticated manly fragrance, high quality, projects well, good longevity, and its blended so well. Imo its worth the money.

Анонім★★★★★

I loved it and it is still expensive though

Анонім★★★★★

It has striking similarities to Halfeti, and by proxy therefore Calfeti a.k.a. Rayhaan Tiger Cal Cologne Edition. Being in my 30s I think that this was just a bit too mature for my tastes. The spices are lovely and welcoming but at first sniff and further into the drydown I just wanted to simply wash it off my skin.

Анонім★★★★★

Was bought this for my birthday, it’s lovely smells a lot like Halfetti with a little more pepper. Will be wearing it for evenings

My take on The Blazing Mr Sam: The opening is surprisingly fresh, which I did not expect. There is also a noticeable green aspect or aura, likely coming from the cardamom. To me, cardamom leans slightly medicinal, which defines the first impression. Cinnamon is barely noticeable. If it is present, it stays in the background and never really develops. What stands out much more is saffron, and in a fairly strong way. It comes across as leathery, but not smooth or refined. Instead, it feels rugged and slightly raw. Cumin is not something I can clearly isolate. It most likely works in the background with patchouli and black pepper, reinforcing that rough leather profile and adding a slightly wild edge. Saffron alone does not create that effect, so this harsher character is probably the result of how these notes interact. There is also a noticeable tobacco presence, with a light touch of vanilla that adds some warmth without making the fragrance overly sweet. Overall, the scent comes across as slightly medicinal, leathery, and lightly smoky. What stands out the most is that it smells almost identical to Lattafa Al Areeq Silver, just weaker and less refined. It has the same medicinal leather and smoky profile, but lacks the intensity, depth, and staying power. Al Areeq Silver feels fuller and more assertive, while this feels like a toned down version that does not perform as well. I have also seen comparisons to Cuoium, which makes no sense to me. That comparison is completely off. Interestingly, Oud Malaki shares a similar direction, despite being an older fragrance. It would not be surprising if there was some level of inspiration there. In the end, this is easily the weakest of the three. Both Al Areeq Silver and Oud Malaki are stronger, more intense, and come across as more masculine, while The Blazing Mr Sam feels like a diluted and less impactful version of that same idea.

Halfeti has always been my favourite since it's been released, and I recently got a recommendation from a friend to try Mr. Sam. Beautiful! Much sweeter, but a similar undetone to the OG Halfeti. Definitely a must-buy for Halfeti fans!

Анонім★★★★★

This definitely smells outdated, but to my surprise it's pretty fresh. If you're 60+ years old, give this a go.
