The dry down is lovely
My main issue with this fragrance is the longevity, amazing grace is there for an hour (maybe 1.5 if we're being generous) and then she's gone, and that's not me going noseblind, no one I knew could get a hint of it unless they were within a foot of me. If I could find a nearly identical scent with better longevity I would be very happy because while the perfume itself smells wonderful it's so ephemeral that it feels like a waste of money.
So timeless beautiful and clean, what a girl you fall in love with smells like. The longevity and silliage is abysmal though, would love to find a dupe or something similar that is perceptible.
Musk and Freesia, that's it. Below average sillage and longevity.
i was gifted this when i turned 18, haven’t used but once or thrice to give it a chance. it smells very very synthetic to/on me. i'd describe it as the unused pretty soap collecting dust in your grandmas guest bathroom. then again i have yet to find a "clean" fragrance that i like, i'm very particular about the way even a basic bar soap smells, so maybe its just not my taste. i wish i smelled what everyone else does but this is headache CENTRAL honey
Love pure grace more for night and this for the day~ very fresh/clean +respectable scent, amazing for work/college.
I got the eau de toilette so the notes are a little bit different compared to what's listed here (bergamot top, lily heart, and musk base). This is very powdery, soapy and clean, honestly too mature for my current tastes. It's also very simple, no depth to be found here. Reminds me a lot of those Simply Belle samplers that come with every single FragranceNet order, but less synthetic and more natural. Maybe this is something I could appreciate with time and age, but right now it's not for me. It lasts a good couple hours but does not project well off skin.
Citrus notes disappear with age. My great grandma has had this perfume sitting in her room for probably close to 10 years now, if not longer. ALL of the citrusy top notes are 100% undetectable. Now, it’s an incredibly powdery, musky, floral scent. The freesia and jasmine still holds strong after all this time, the rose note less so. Overall, this is a nice soft floral, kind of soapy although that may be a product of its age, simple and inoffensive.
I smell light patchouli in the base. 2nd time on a week they're inaccurate. This is new. They like to hide oud, and patchouli so far. This one is very faint but it should have been mentioned. I can finish this bottle as I like it enough but it's not what I had in mind.
Got the 4 oz perfume, and 32 oz lotion and body wash through qvc tiktok for $60 total 😩😩 such a steal. V nostalgic scent my mom and grandma wore it. just clean, crisp and elegant. Smells like spring.I definitely like to overspray this one because it’s such a light scent but i feel like it preforms good still. I smell it on me almost all day, stronger and longer lasting on skin than clothes surprisingly.
The perfume smells nice enough but has almost no sillage or longevity. Wearing it or not wearing it, one would never know the difference.
amazing grace (+ rocky save stars)!!! amaze amaze amaze!
Amazing Grace and was my everyday fragrance for close to a decade. The soft, clean and floral fragrance is at once feminine, clean and subtle. Over time I’ve grown bored of it but it’s a reliable classic still in my rotation. I wish it lasted a bit longer, but I appreciate that isn’t overpowering for daily wear and inoffensive in most professional settings.
(EDT sample) So fresh, delicate, clean, powdery. I love the burst of crisp bergamot at the start but the other top notes are kind of watered down, definitely "muted" as another user described. The florals shine beautifully in the middle. A very “clean” scent that can be used from formal midday occasions to everyday outings. It's so elegant and calm, like going for a facial with cucumbers on your eyes. It smells like a woman you looked up to as a child. I understand why some wouldn't like this soapy, powdery quality that it holds for a while but I don't care. It doesn't make me want to sneeze it away like certain other florals would. It’s pretty simple though so don’t get it if you’re looking for a real eye-catcher of course
a 90s/y2k classic that is timeless and really cannot go wrong. this is a clean scent, professional yet carefree, this perfume fits the imagination of many different settings. I would say that the citrus notes really must just be adding the crispness in this perfume, because the scent I pick up is mostly the Freesia and Jasmine. I think the bergamot/orange and musk just add the “clean” & crisp to this and tone down the flowers (as this is not a super floraly scent).
Just wanted to leave a suggestion here for everyone - the body wash/shower gel & lotion smell way better than the perfume of this. I don't ever really wear the edt or edp (i don't own the edp but I did for a time, which is slightly different from the edt but still clearly amazing grace) but with my signature perfume (Givenchy ange ou demon le secret) I will use this shower gel + lotion underneath as the notes all blend so well on my skin. It's definitely like a clean, powdery, floral sunscreen. I enjoy the smell of sunscreen and always have. If you don't, you prob won't like this scent. The shower gel + lotion definitely smell like a sunscreen. Just wanted to get that out there in case it helps anyone. 😅
To me it is 2010s, shabby chic, high school, hopeful, twee, nostalgic. It smells like iCarly and 500 Days of Summer, like your best friend's older sister of whom you have fond memories as a babysitter. It is really sweet and floral but without being overly sugary or powdery. The best way to describe the smell is MUTED, like flower petals in water, the memory of a cozy bedroom where the walls are still light pink from when you were a kid but they're covered in posters from your favorite indie teen idols and string lights and photobooth photo strips from the 8th grade dance aka one of the best nights of your life...and then there's that weird harlequin mask on the wall from the 80s that your grandma insists on keeping because she bought it in Venice, and there's the needlepoint pillow with your name embroidered into it hanging on your door, and your childhood teddy bear...everything reminding you that you are growing up. There's a sort of grape smell, like not GRAPE grape, and not at all sour, but almost like if grapes were a flower? Or if someone drank a hibiscus flavored Lacroix after chewing grape gum and then gave you a sip and you realized they backwashed a little... I think you will like this perfume if you already like it. If you don't already like it, it's not going to impress you. It is a good perfume to wear if you are in high school and you've matured past Bath & Body Works spray of Moonlit Path or Sweet Pea (it doesn't smell anything like those). Super, super inoffensive in my opinion, as long as you don't put on too much. If you use too much it starts to get really soapy, especially as the day goes on, and the fresh floral notes fade leaving a kind of absent smell like the olfactory equivalent of a face with no eyebrows. Even though it's nostalgic it's not musty dusty or old. It lasts a long time in my experience. You could wear this perfume in a closed room and I don't think anyone would be too mad. Would recommend for teachers working with younger kids.
Amazing Grace is not a distinctive perfume. Nothing to get excited about here. I found it very similar to Estee Lauder Pleasures. I think it has a more masculine scent with the bergamot note though. If you like the soft soap fragrance you might find Pleasures to be better since it has more to it and is more feminine.
Clean, comforting, soft floral. Somehow sweet too. Smells like a clean soft bedsheet. I love it for everyday wear. Lasts AGES too with great projection.
Got this perfume because I returned coach sunset now that is a real soapy perfume. The one I returned was the five fluid ounce and funny enough this amazing grace EDP is also huge! four fluid ounces. I love running into jumbo size perfume. This one is not soapy. The way that everybody describes it, in the comments. Is it a clean scent yes, but it is sweet like there’s candied soap. I don’t know if there’s a category called sweet floral, but I guess I will say this one is a fruity floral. It is so cute. cute and clean like a little kid getting ready for Easter Sunday or one that has already jammed all the little marshmallow peeps in their mouth.
Perfect for feeling fresh and clean or for work days in healthcare. The musk is my favorite part of this fragrance. Love to layer it with the matching lotion too.
smells like heytea and classy woman
This one wasn't 4 me...it's not bad, I just find it to smell like a bar of antibacterial soap. The longevity wasn't great for me either. If you enjoy very clean, light fragrances then you'd probby really like it.
This is an oldie but goodie. I'd had it years and years ago in my collection when I was just getting into perfume. Now having fallen way down the rabbit hole into all levels of niche, I picked up a bottle of this to smell, for nostalgia's sake, and had to buy it. I still adore this pretty, delicate easy-going floral -- it's so comforting to me and I love wearing it!! As others have noted, performance is mediocre, but for the price I can forgive it that. I think Pure Grace (which I LOVE love love!) performs a bit better. Amazing Grace is just so lovely and an easy, comforting everyday wear.
I absolutely love Amazing Grace, I really enjoy wearing it after a shower or going to bed, it's such a comforting, clean scent. It really reminds me of the smell of bubble bath. It's so gentle and feminine. It does smell soapy, but not in an old-fashioned way. I do think any age could wear this, I don't think it's a "grandma" scent at all. I will say it doesn't have spectacular longevity or sillage, it's quite an intimate perfume, but I quite like that about it. For me it's a cosy bedtime scent, although I have worn it during the day too. I'll definitely repurchase once I run out as I truly feel like I can't be without it.
So fresh, clean, and lovely! As others have said, this is definitely not a groundbreaking fragrance or major compliment getter, but to me it feels so comforting and simple. Like freshly washed sheets in spring! The longevity is pretty bad, so I don't usually wear it out and about, but for the price, it's perfect as a cozy day in or post-shower fragrance.
The thing is, I love florals, clean, soapy, and musks. Everything this is described as but doesn't actually deliver imo. There is a note that sits in the background that reminds me of the og Vaseline Intensive Care lotion from the 80's. Not totally offensive but slightly stinky. Like hugging your great grandmother when you were 4 years old lol I blind bought it for a great price smelled it, & I thought I got a bottle that'd gone bad. I went to the store to smell a sample and realized the scent was intentional. I really like the Fresh Cream Soft Velvet but I'll pass on this one.
If you know what the pink bottle of Johnson’s Baby Cologne smells like, this scent is VERY similar. This was a gift from my mother, and I joked that she got me an elevated baby cologne. This is a really gentle powdery floral, and wearing it makes me feel like a fluffy cotton ball… in the sense that it’s a soft, freshly washed, light-as-air kind of clean. It has that airy white musk and pale floral sweetness that feels cozy but also really fresh, like clean sheets, floral detergent, baby powder, and warm skin. I have the Eau de Toilette. It doesn’t last long nor is the sillage very strong. After roughly an hour the scent had faded, but I am also a light sprayer using maybe 1-3 total on my pulse points, so keep that in mind. Nevertheless, I think it’s a great fragrance! It’s a very pretty clean scent, good for times when you want to smell good but subtly.
Clean, floral and soapy scent. A little bit vintage yet still wearable. Might not be a safe blind buy though.
even as a guy i still really like this
