I was not a fan of this cologne - turns out I don’t like the sea water and soap smell which was quite strong. Even when it dried down that scent profile was quite strong but with some more wood. Defo smell before you buy to see if you like this type of scent.
Smells like Hawas Ice to me. Not 1:1 but in the same ballpark, love Invictus Parfum.
A refined, confident evolution of the Invictus DNA that feels both familiar and newly polished. The opening is crisp and luminous: cool marine notes, clean lavender, and a subtle spark of pink pepper create an immediate sense of freshness without aggression. Within minutes the signature black soap accord emerges creamy, slightly mineral, and distinctly soapy in the best way. This is the heart of the fragrance and what truly sets it apart; it lends a smooth, almost skin-like cleanliness that never turns sharp or synthetic. Violet leaf and myrtle add a quiet green depth before the base settles into soft musk, cashmeran, and a warm, addictive sandalwood that keeps the composition grounded and wearable. Projection is solid and noticeable without dominating a room, and longevity sits comfortably in the several-hour range on my skin, enough for a full workday with a gentle, pleasant trail remaining. It is an easy compliment-getter, yet restrained enough for the office and daily wear. Best suited to spring and mild autumn days when you want presence without heaviness. The bottle itself feels premium substantial, sculptural, and unmistakably luxurious in the hand. A well-executed, modern masculine that prioritises elegance and wearability over bombast. 7/10
This is really really nice, went to my local Sephora about three times and I always smelled this one, is such a nice sweet, musky and soapy fragance, think about a grape candy, in a great way tho! Picked it up for half the price from the local store at Jomashop, this does NOT disappoint, it’ll take you through a whole 9-10 hr shift for sure!
I wanted to like this fragrance since I am big Invictus fan but unfortunately I did not like the dry down of Invictus perfum. I liked the opening this Invictus had but once it started drying down I started picking up this alcoholic/cocktail type of scent (one that smelled way too familiar) and it just ruined it for me. I never picked up that soapy note everyone talks about (I was hoping I did.) I don't even remember what the opening smells like because of that alcohol/cocktail scent ☹️
Rabanne Invictus Parfum opens with a clean, modern sweetness that sits just behind bubblegum in intensity. The sweetness has a distinct grape-like character reminiscent of the nuance I noticed in the MYSLF line, while a subtle aquatic saltiness keeps it from becoming overly playful. It also reminds me of Y EDP in the way it pairs a pleasant synthetic sweetness with an aromatic edge, though it has its own identity. The opening is smooth, moderately airy, and immediately approachable. As it develops, a subtle spice and a sharp green note begin to emerge. The green facet has a similar feel to violet leaf without becoming gasoline-like, adding edge and contrast to the sweet, clean aquatic profile. These elements keep the fragrance from becoming one-dimensional, giving it more character while maintaining a smooth, medium-density texture. The drydown shifts toward a woody base while preserving much of the opening’s identity. The sweetness softens into an accent as the woods and musks become more prominent, but the green facets, clean soapy character, and salty aquatics remain present throughout. The result is a balanced woody finish that still feels connected to the opening rather than becoming a completely different fragrance. Overall, I really enjoyed this wear. While the fragrance is undeniably synthetic and sweet, it never becomes overbearing thanks to the contrast provided by the soapy, green, and aquatic elements. The drydown does a good job of maintaining parts of the opening while introducing woods and musks. My only criticism is that there may be almost too much contrast and too many ideas packed into one fragrance. It all works together, but narrowing the focus to one direction could have made it an even better fragrance. Even so, it’s a very enjoyable fragrance that works well as an easy anytime wear. Score: 8.0/10
Salty Aquatic Gummybear Sweetness in opening and Ysl Y Edp with Le Beau Le Parfum on Mid to Drydown. 6/10 (First Impression) It's way smoother and different after a week. 8.7/10 *Afternoon/Night *Spring/Fall *Semi-Formal
This fragrance is an 8.5/10. its sweet like berries in the beginning and also has aquatic/ ocean notes (aquatic notes are similar to Montblanc legend spirit). it also has a bubble gum dna similar to hawas. this scent can work well all year around and is the best out of the whole invictus line
I think this fragrance smells really good. However, I run pretty warm, and I find the scent a bit cloying and the soapy smell tends to overpower the wonderful scent underneath when I'm very warm or I sweat. Personally, I find this scent best for cooler weather. Great for spring, fall, or a cool summer evening. Overall 7/10
@unbound thanks i will give it a try then
@Youssefmolly77 its not powdery like baby powder, its more like soapiness
Is it so powdery?? Pls @ me
just buy hawas bro
I had high hopes for the product but the opening was too harsh. The musky pepper opening gave me buyers remorse. But I gave it a few days, tried it again and it started to shine a bit more. It’s growing on me a little but I wouldn’t recommend without testing it first. DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS ONE!
Nice body wash aquatic but the background sweetness makes this a little immature. Smells like hawas but 5% better. 6/10
I really like this. This flanker has that "ch bad boy" edge to it, which i like. Years ago i remember smelling a bad boy flanker at the mall and I can't remember which one but this has an unmistakable likeness to that fragrance. I do like wearing this, it can be your signature if you want it to. It's very versatile and is a good fit for any and every occasion/weather but so are all the other Invictuses. Typical modern designer flair with marine/lavender/musk being the most prominent notes to my nose. 7.9/10. This is growing on me. Blind bought this and I'm happy to say I'm not disappointed. Perhaps not the fragrance you write home about but Definitely blind buy safe. EDIT: So it starts off fresh with that bad boy vibe but as it dries down in about an hour, it turns gourmand-ish and loses some of that freshness for a more sweeter vibe. I love it. My only gripe so far is that you do need to overspray with this one. Definitely not a room filler but it leaves a nice trail. You can remedy this by going heavy on the sprays. Good thing it's available in a 200ml bottle is often on discounters too!
This goes from a fresh sweet scent and transforms into a totally different direction. It becomes a bit more gourmand smelling which isn't what I want to smell like in the warmer weather. The original Invictus is a much better fresh warmer weather scent than this one.
A clean, soapy, fresh all-rounder. You can't go wrong with this one. I picked up a 50mL at Chemist Warehouse for $70 AUD. Very addictive scent.
This one is good. Not as redundant as you'd think after reading the reviews below.... Performance is stellar. One of the best drydowns on the designer market at the moment. I do get a slight twinge of the 'sourness' some have mentioned, but only if oversprayed, and only up-close. Don't overspray.
First impression, it's nice and clean but still very much a sweet vanilla-y designer. I love the bottle but its just too sweet and synthetic.
Nice, but it just isn’t Invictus Legend..
Got it from shoppers drug mart, 30% off + 50000 points back ($50 value) .... So I got it for $55 .... Cheaper than middle eastern pwrfumes. So can't complaint, just want to say its soapy, and lavendery with marine notes.... I am enjoying, its like you just washing your body with luxury soap and your window door is near the sea while your lavender aromatherapy is working on the side. Relaxing and mature at the same time
I love this one. Fresh, smooth and great sillage. You get these whiffs of it through the day. Pretty much a perfect scent for a sunny day with a white tshirt, jeans and a pair of shades
This is truly amazing. Especially the dry down. Wonderful mix of wood and breeze with a tiny bit of sweetness. It's SO good. Extremely versatile. Day, night, winter, summer, office, night out. My only 10/10 so far.
I've never owned a rabanne. Never appealed, whether its invictus or one million I've always thought meh. Oddly though not fairly, because I haven't smelt them all. I think I've fallen for certain reviewers saying generic etc and just decided wrongly from that. This is lovely, the lavender and marine notes are prominent and done well, it's nicely masculine and yea generic but said in a non negative way. I've said in other reviews that "mass appealing" is said soooo often in bad way when truth is, it just means it's good. Things don't always have to be complex, sometimes things don't have to evolve from opening notes to dry down. My partner loves it. So it gets a 👍from me👌
On a tester strip, it smells very similar to the OG Invictus, but on the skin, the soapiness and aromatic scent are much more prominent. It is not for me.
So here's what they did. They took One Million Parfum. They 'Invictus'd' it up a bit. Made OMP slightly more masculine and wearable. Put it in a trophy. I hate OMP. I don't hate this. Take from that what you will. K Bye.
Saw the jumbo at Ross for 99.99 and I grabbed it. Going based on yalls description here it seems like it’s feminine leaning and I’m so happy that I grabbed it. It’s spearmint bubblegum. Perfect for a warm day you wanna smell fresh and cute. Definitely unisex. I’m also getting a creamy note, maybe whipped cream or vanilla.
Smells synthetic and starts cloying in a while. Not for me.
I smelled this fragrance on a tester strip in the store and liked it; it smelled like a simple, sweet, and syrupy grape. Later, I bought it, and my perspective completely changed. This perfume isn't just a candy-like grape; it’s a bitter, more mature grape—like a wine grape. The opening is a spectacle. After that, the soapy side starts to emerge—it’s like a lavender bar soap that makes you feel clean. Finally, you can sense the sandalwood; it’s a creamy and slightly sweet sandalwood. You can wear this perfume anywhere and at any time (except in high heat, as it can be a bit strong, or in extreme cold, where there might be better options). But for work, casual outings, daily wear, or just lounging at home, it works perfectly. It makes you feel clean—it’s a scent with presence and personality, featuring different stages that you can enjoy throughout the wear. The longevity is decent, lasting about 6–7 hours with 4–5 hours of good projection. Personally, it’s my signature scent—my 'wildcard' for when my other perfumes don't quite fit. I would definitely buy it again.
