I wore this to work as a nurse many years ago. It’s such a dreamy yet light (on me) marine floral. Price wise at that tine, I could afford to respray as needed. I have two bottles in my collection. One was purchased before I moved from New England in 2008. The other was purchased probably the following year. Reformulated? Unlikely according to my friend, Chat GPT. The batch codes and photos indicate both are from 2007. I don’t have a newer bottle to compare, and it would be more costly perhaps to purchase more. I have all I need of this gem.

I normally love very sugary sweet fragrances, but this white floral musky fragrance does something for me. It transposts me to the Brooklyn botanical gardens lily pond lake in late spring early summer. Perfect for hot summer days and feels watery and clean with just a touch of a masculine edge, maybe from the grapefruit. Still very feminine, light, and sits closer to the skin, but in the high heat I think thats fine. I know this has been reformulated, but it still smells very much like the original to my nose!

At first this is very floral and ocean-y. It dried down to a mostly white floral scent with a bit of a woody citrus note. It lasted a few hours and was pretty strong. I overall like it and will definitely keep the bottle I bought.

Talk about polar opposites this fragrance , Ralph Lauren Ralph and Mugler Angel were my go to scents from 2000- 2012... I got more compliments wearing Blue than I did anything. I did notice at my local Ulta, they have it. I sprayed it on my hand and it wasn't the same. Like everything good, they have reformulated this and ruined it! it was the best fragrance for the the years that I wore it. It had serious longevity and serious silliage ! A real classic!!

This was one of my old loves in the early 00’s and so far the closest to it I’ve found is Maison Lancome Jasmin D’eau. That is still around and might be worth a shot to all who miss her and don’t find currently available Curious, close. Personally I had both (back in the day) and have never seen the parallels.

My mom got this for me for Christmas! She’s so sweet. She knew I’d been eyeing it off and on for years. It’s now my favorite freshie. I love the combination of LOTV and lotus! The base notes really give it a solid backbone, so you get this subtle warmth on the skin once it dries down. This and Myth by Ellis Brooklyn are my all time favorite aquatic/lotus frags. Of course it has that Y2K aquatic floral freshie DNA, but I love that about Blue. I’ve tried Tommygirl, Giorgio Blue, and Alfred Sung Shi. This one just has something special about it. And the longevity is impressive. They just don’t make fragrances how they used to.

Анонім★★★★★

Tried it in the early 2000's didn't appreciate it...fast forward 20 years and now I get it...addicting, slightly aquatic due to lotus...woody, musky, sexy, beast mode. Whatever you do make sure to get the vintage version as the newer bottles with new formulation has been heavily reformulated and not in a good way. This could totally be unisex. Love.

This is one of the most beautiful white floral compositions! It’s unfortunate that it’s been discontinued. There are still some on the second hand market and can get a bit pricey but in my opinion, this is one of the ones that may be worth the price if you’re able to find it! I love it! It’s one of those fragrances that may have similar fragrances on the market but only the original will do! It’s so fresh, a bit green and the white florals are realistic and delicate. It has great longevity but never overpowers. Reading other reviews, it’s sounds like it may have come back but has been reformulated. If you can get your hands on a vintage bottle, grab it! It’s beautiful!

This was really pretty back in the day. I was excited to see it at Ulta, remembering how fresh, full-bodied, and smooth it had been 20 years ago. It’s definitely been heavy reformulated because it is now like a faint memory of the original. It’s weak and not really impressive in any way. Huge thumbs down.

Sighs.... When I tell you for YEARS this was my signature scent. It was all I wore when it was released some 20+ years ago. It went away for a while, and when it came back.... I was like WHO ARE YOU and WHY ARE YOU HERE??!! Complete devastation was my portion. Why did they have to go and destroy my love like that?? I have not been able to find a signature scent since. I truly believe that I may need deliverance so I can truly move on. At least I can say, that I once knew her in all of her beauty. That we once shared a blossoming relationship....I'll just have to rely on my memories for an ounce of consolation. My true signature. Some beauties are meant to be one-of-a-kind, and I am honored to have known its original grace. I currently am no longer looking for a new signature scent. I've come to understand that it's OK to leave well enough alone 💙 I guess this truly is... goodbye.

Lovely lovely perfume. It’s a fresh floral that doesn’t read as “grandmother” but is still sophisticated. It’s intimate sillage for me, but I get compliments if I’m sitting close to someone or giving a hug. It’s also a scent my mom likes to wear, so it’s comforting to me.

Now available on the Ralph Lauren website!!!! I'll wait until it hits the discount sites again though.

They brought it back! Smelled it inside Sephora and thought wow I could layer a white floral fragrance over an aquatic bath and body works body mist/lotion. Instantly reminded me of Tous Gold/EA 5th avenue that kind of scent profile. Very stuck on the nostalgia of when people weren’t trying to hard. They could be themselves, be ordinary, but still be memorable. I’ll pass since I think it’s a little redundant in my collection.

Анонім★★★★★

This smells IDENTICAL to peony and blush suede by Jo Malone. It’s a nice scent, but nothing amazing or memorable.

Анонім★★★★★

They reformulated this years ago and took the swimming pool-like ambrette note away. Now it's not nearly as musky and interesting. Le Labo Another 13 reminds me of the muskiness of Blue when it was first released.

My ex boyfriend would go crazy in love every time I wore this. In fact he left a woman and a few months later hooked up with me and said it was (partially) because of how good I smelled. 🤣 My husband of 17 years said he would smell it on me too and think I smelled so good but he wasn't allowed to say that to me then. I had the bf previously mentioned. Lol We broke up after a few years and he msg'd me on Facebook saying, "I smelled you at the mall the other day walking by a perfume stand. I asked them what it was and yep was the bottle you always used that I loved." In 2005, this was something else. To compare this $80 perfume in 2005 to Curious for $15 is crazy to me. And Ive owned both. They discontinued this massively popular perfume. It was so popular walmart would carry little 15ml bottles of it next to the other tiny popular designer perfume samples. Then they up and dc'd it. A best seller. Then brought it back smelling like Curious. A cheap synthetic mess. When it once was a masterpiece of tuberose so sexy I knocked date nights out of the park wearing THIS. I have owned countless fragrances since and I always come back to this page to look at the perfume that started it all. Men (and women) loved this on me. Now I don't even like it on me. If you're gonna discontinue a best seller, DO IT I dare you, but don't come crawling back with it reformulated expecting us to buy it based on what it once was. What happened to Blue was a tragedy. I look at it now with such fond memories I know I'll never be able to smell again because they RUINED IT.

Анонім★★★★★

I don't know why, but it reminds me of my school principal. I bought it blind and regretted it because I found it to be a serious, closed, boring person's scent. I like fresher, more cheerful fragrances.

Анонім★★★★★

This smells like Pacific Chill of Louis Vuitton. Just wait for the dry down...

Bought one of the only three bottles left in Minnesota. This was my signature scent for years. When I gave my unwanted clothes to family members they'd hound me about what scent I wore because the clothes smelled so good. When I tell you I am so disappointed this is being discontinued, I mean it. This is by far the perfect scent. I see many people say Britney's "Curious" is a dupe. And the OLD Curious may in fact be a dupe, but the current one on the shelves is such a powdery mess. No comparison. What a bittersweet day. Glad I got a bottle, but I know some day it will run dry!

Well I can't say im a fan. Recently found this perfume in an old storage unit of my mothers and it smells a lil off. Mabye due to its age but it goes on sticky but leaves a shine to the skin, smells heaps better from a distance but not right up in your nose. Smells to me like coffee and pine wood.

Анонім★★★★★

Purchased this recently on Ulta's site. I was so overjoyed to find it after it's discontinuation but I'm sad to say, I wasted my money. The scent is so weak I can't even smell it on my skin or clothing shortly after applying it. I used to get compliments all the time on this perfume from both men and women, but since buying this (I guess) reformulated version I get crickets. It's not hard to understand why since there is no scent by the time I leave the house. I am so sad about this. I miss my old Blue so much and I'm not finding anything nearly comparable at the moment.

Анонім★★★★★

Did they decide to bring this back? I'm seeing it on their website and on Ulta's. Is it the same formulation, or did they change it?

If.you love Ralph Lauren Blue, go check out Britney Spears Curious! It is an exact dupe for way less money!

Disclaimer: I am reviewing a Divain clone of Ralph Lauren Blue. In my experience Divain clones are spot on compared to originals. I am surprised this fragrance being from 2005 as it smells like it is from 80s or 90s. In fact it has a great resemblance to Anais Anais with exception that my Anais Anais is more strong. I can not smell the element making this a blue fragrance at all. This would have been my cup of tea in my 30s when I was crazy about fragrances such as Amarige, Anais Anais and Yves Rocher Clea. Nowadays I much prefer sweeter and fresher florals. Luckily I did not open the cellophane on the full size bottle and I can return this as it is not for me.

Анонім★★★★★

It's a nice white floral, but since the prices are insane due to its discontinuation I can't see this as being so unique or so must-have that I would need to track it down. There are lots of similar scents out there, and most for far less. That said, I don't like a lot of white florals and this one manages to be quite wearable and tender. It truly is a well-balanced scent and if I came across a bottle for a decent price, I would likely pick it up.

This smells soooo good! It’s sweet, airy, musky, fresh, clean — all in a floral way, not a foodie way. I’m just now discovering this. It’s also wintertime and I’m loving this right now as appears to spring and summer time. It’s so well blended, there’s not any note that’s taking over and none of that screechy stuff they put in almost all fragrances these days. Discontinuing this was a mistake- but they always discontinue the best fragrances. I’d like to add that I’m not a fan of Britney’s Curious perfume, it pulls too much magnolia and I hate magnolia, so I don’t sense any resemblance. I also own moschino stars and that is very strong white floral and only smells good in extreme heat, and that does not smell like this either. Ralph Lauren Blue is in a league of its own cuz it’s so perfectly sweet without being like Can Can or daisy love Eau so sweet kind of sweet. It’s sweet in a clean way which stars and curious is not.

A few years ago now (10 I think yikes) I was looking for a new perfume. I tested several over a couple weeks and I had it narrowed down to Ralph Lauren Love and Ralph Lauren Blue. I was leaning slightly towards Blue but Love was less expensive and I truly do love Love. I consider it my signature since I bought it, and I've bought bottles off Ebay with good results. However, I think I'm finally going to let go. I've always had Blue in the back of my mind, and since I can't get Love anymore, I thought I'd get Blue. I was bummed Blue has been discontinued, but it has been over ten years, so I'll have to find something else. In the meantime, I found a bottle of Blue online for more than I would have paid years ago, but after thinking about Blue all these years, I had to get it to own it at least once in my life, so I splurged and bought myself a Christmas present. Blue is different than my beloved Love, but, to me, they have a similar quality that I'm not sure I can describe. They both have a white floral ethereal musky quality but where Love is spicy light wood musk, Blue is a water citrus feathery musk. The initial top note reminds me of another long discontinued favorite, Kors by Micheal Kors. I get a lot of watery lotus and lily of the valley in the top note but it disappears quickly into citrus jasmine suede musk that lingers for a few hours. Finally, there is the barest hint of sandalwood suede with a little whiff of jasmine. Unfortunately, it fades quickly on me, gone completely in about 6 hours. I will apply more to see if that helps. I'm disappointed at the lack of staying power. Weirdly, it gets a hint of sourness where my sleeve or watch rubs over where I applied it, while areas where I applied that isn't rubbed on, remains sweet. I havent noticed that in other perfumes and I wonder what it means. Maybe Blue is a delicate scent? I think this scent will do better in more humid warm weather, spring or summer. Still, I'm glad I tried it though with it fades so fast, I don't feel it's worth the high price I paid for it, but at least I won't spend the rest of my life wondering what might have been with Blue. I'm excited to a find new fragrance! Edit: Okay, my husband loves this on me. He says I smell great and the scent is still noticeable to him after I can't smell it anymore so the longevity is better than I perceive. I'm getting rid of some of my perfumes I no longer wear and he said very seriously to definately keep Blue. But, what's really strange, my cats LOVE love love Blue. I've never ever had a cat react this strongly to any perfume I've worn. One cat would not stop closely sniffing me where I sprayed Blue though it was hours after I applied and I could barely smell it myself. I'd push her away and she came right back immediately. The other cat grabbed my arm in a bear hug, her legs wrapped around my arm, and rubbed her face all over my wrist where I sprayed Blue hours before. There is something about Blue . . .

Ralph Lauren Blue for women - Fresh and dreamy scent This is an example of one of many reformulations that lost its true magic. It was so delicate and I felt extremely special wearing it. A gorgeous flower aquatic. So dreamy. The blue bottle with silver stopper and monogram is the same and still beautiful Its discontinued but available in Denmark on Matas webside. I find the 'new' version more mainstream, but RL Blue is a nice, musky-aquatic-woody floral. A feminine, soft but fresh fragrance really versatile and easy to wear. It has a watery touch with a concert of floral notes like lotus, lilly of the valley and peony and with its touch of marine that makes it aquatic. But the true magic of the first original edition seems distant. It felt more oakmossy with more white florals. I loved it. This reformulation is not a love, but a like. Thanks to poirot303, I'll try La Dierge de Fer.

Plasticky gardenia, reminds me of Kenzo Amour Florale, another discontinued gardenia-centered fragrance, or other early 00s white florals such as Estee Lauder's Pleasure and Jessica McClintock fragrances. Read belows that it used to be not like this, kinda unfortunate. On the other hand it doesn't remind me of Tocca Stella at all, so I guess the original scent was supposed to be more like the drydown of that one.

I got my first bottle of this in Saks fifth avenue New York. Perfect for crisp white shirt and jeans. Really fresh, clean, pretty, gorgeous floral, I wore it every day/night the tuberose was intoxicating for me, I loved wafting around enveloped in it. I immediately purchased 100's of tuberose bulbs as I was hooked, the bulbs only flowered for 2 years :( The bottle was like a huge sapphire. 2nd bottle I got in Italy same beautiful perfume. 3rd bottle a friend brought back from California for me, maybe my sense of smell has changed but it is not the same, its weak, no ooomph, no sparkle. No wonder it was discontinued the new one was bland.
