Lush's sugar fairy but more floral and with an earthy base. Delicious and nastalogic, mature florals, feminine and sexy.
She's mature, but not in a granny way. This is a woman who knows what she wants, knows how to get it, and can get it herself! I'm not going to mess around with notes or longevity since those two things so heavily depend on your skin pH. There was a review mentioning the powder was coming off more like pencil shavings and I get that! But it's not overwhelming, it's more familiar. Think, "what is that smell--oh yeah! It does kinda smell like that!"--and that scent fades quickly. It's thick, but not heavy? Does that make sense? On my skin, the opening smells almost like a boozy Dr. Pepper, and in the dry down that fizzy aspect is lost with the concentrated syrup remaining. In a good way. I live in the southern US, so would I wear this year round? Eh, maybe? I have a sneaking suspicion it might get a little cloying in the heat, but I'll let you know! Over all: it's beautiful, and would make a PERFECT date night/office meeting scent for the confident (or wants to be confident) person.
Rogue doesn’t open softly. It struts in, wearing suede boots and a smirk, smelling like someone who has texted an ex at 2am and has no regrets. The first hit is this leathery‑plummy‑powdery swirl that feels like it’s asking you, “So… whose heart are we breaking today?” Then the sweetness arrives. Not cupcake sweetness. Not girly sweetness. This is grown‑woman sweetness - like warm honey that pays its own bills and it’s absolutely up to no good. The florals try to soften things, but Rogue just looks at them like, “sweetie, we’re not doing soft today.” There’s a suede note that slinks in like a cat that knows it’s beautiful. It’s smooth. It’s smug. It absolutely owns at least one pair of boots that are fabulous. As it settles, the leather and musk start giving “I’m mysterious, but approachable if you buy me a drink.” The drydown - Imagine vanilla, suede, and a hint of fruit all lounging on a sofa, sipping wine, and plotting something morally questionable. It’s cozy. It’s sexy. It’s a little dangerous. It’s the fragrance equivalent of saying "I make bad decisions but in the best way possible"
I did not like this the first few times. It kept bringing me back. This is not for the shy! Very unusual and very definite. Very sexy when it takes you down the rabbit hole… follow obediently, you may be rewarded if you are worthy.
What a treasure I found for a great price ! Wow. This is very similar to Tenue De Soirée from Goutal . This is so classy , chic and a bit sexy. I bit of a dry fruitiness, combined with the musky notes it reminds me of like a dry red wine or some lik of plum drink that isn’t sweet. That subtle suede just goes beautifully here with the musky notes and dry plum. Love this one . Isn’t this discontinued? Such a shame ! You can easily dress this one up or down, for everyday or if you feel like a boss babe .
I’ve really enjoyed this perfume. The plum and suede combination does it for me—so chic and truly unique!
This feels very much like a mutant chypre on the uptick: lipstick-powdery, sweet stewed fruits on a bed of wood. But it's also very classic, the heart gives this beautiful classic soapy vibe. It's not very aldehydic, either, thank goodness! Not something I would normally go for to be honest...but in this case, I love it! This is a grown woman scent. On the dry, the spices pull thru and I'm getting a strong AGARWOOD but I guess I could be wrong. A chewy, sappy, balsamic wood. One that bends but doesn't break. A young branch. Photorealistic...it reminds me a lot of Dune, actually, which is my favorite perfume of all time. I didn't expect this one to make me wet. I am caught totally off guard. Well done, Riri and collaborators!
There is something about this fragrance that i just love. It’s definitely unique. It’s like a sweet but musky patchouli with a medicinal vibe. I can’t put my finger on it. It does project and last. I feel like Rihanna always had such a good taste in fragrances. They were never really basic.
love the way this smells on a strip of paper, something horrifying and evil leaks out of my skin when I wear it. I’m sure it must work on some people but I am not one of them. Makes me smell like an old couch. Devastating.
Strong suede and patchouli dominate this fragrance on my skin, and sadly it’s not what I was hoping for. I expected more vanilla and musk, but those notes get lost under the suede. The bottle and design are gorgeous, and as a collector of Rihanna’s fragrances I’m still glad to own it, especially since it’s discontinued. That being said, this is probably my least favorite in her line. It is very long-lasting, which is a plus, but for me Reb’l Fleur is much more wearable and enjoyable. I’ll keep this bottle in my collection, but I won’t be reaching for it often.
I searched high and low for this baby and finally found her at Luxury Perfumes inside the Del Amo mall here in California. This fragrance is near and dear to my heart. It may not be blind-buy safe though and as many of the reviews below suggest, a lot of people arent fans of it. I consider this one of my TOP fragrances out of about 70 that I own. I'm not the best at identifying notes so I'll explain what my senses perceive: I get a coca-cola like fizzy sweet vibe...if it had a color it would be brown. If whisky were a women's perfume, it would be this. I also get this sweet, pencil shavings vibe from Rogue too...i LOVE it, lol. Some may be offput by the dryness this fragrance gives off at first wiff, but beyond that it's so sweet....and a tad bit smokey. This it what my nose perceives right? Now let me tell you the real reason why I'm so in love with this fragrance after all these years since it's launch. About 70% of my infatuation is nostalgia. Back in 2013 whenever this first came out, i had a close home-girl..she and I used to go out to jazz and blues clubs all around Chicago. We would drink tequila, smoke cigars and enjoy being in our 20s. This was our perfume of choice. We wore it as we dressed up and put our makeup on, we bathed in it before entering the club to cover the cigar smell, which btw, this scent is GREAT for smokers, it compliments the smokey aroma.... As soon as i smell this, I'm instantly back there, i can smell the tequila, I can hear the music, I can see our fancy fur coats, heels and heavy makeup lol. I no longer have that person as a friend, but I cherish the moments we shared. With this scent I can forever revisit those times. If you're brave, bold, daring give this a try...i predict it will only become harder and harder to find.
The initial spray is very harsh and nasty. But after a little bit it starts smelling better. I don't know what it is but it's definitely a bit sexy. Maybe I do like suede after all. 🤔 This is a very different kind of scent than what I'm used to wearing, but I might end up loving it. I'll have to wait and see. So far, it's a like. 👍🏼
The horrible suede note mixed with rotten plum
No, just no. Doesn't even come close to Bottega Venetta edp, the plum note in this is just SO harsh. It smells horrible.
Kierin Nitro Noir is the better version of this. It's more similar than Bottega Veneta. Rogue is flat and coarse in comparison.
This is my gym scent. I love it for that reason, non offensive, tart and a bit fresh at the same time. A tiny bit powdery and musky. Very cheap fragrance, so perfect to use for work outs and still smelling nice at the same time.
I bought this in the hope that it could be reasonably close to the much loved but now discontinued Bottega Veneta. On opening the packaging I was very hopeful but once applied to my skin what a terrible outcome. Smells powdery and cheap. Really unpleasant. I tried it on my boyfriend just to see how it would smell on his skin. To me it seemed more pleasant but he thought it smelled terrible on him. Cheap smelling was his description too
Sexy, seductive, thrilling and daring, this perfume is definitely set apart from the rest. I should premise this by saying this perfume is 100% my signature scent and I am a sucker for warm, spicy, woody / leathery scents. I adore how warm & spicy this is, it makes me feel safe but sexy. The leather / woody smell adds the thrilling / daring note. The smells dance together in perfect harmony, the spicy leather smell taking the lead upon first spritz, with the warm woody smell emanating upon dry down. The leather / woody smell is still there, letting you know it’s here to stay. It’s a perfect date night perfume or an evening perfume, dinner with friends. It belongs to each season & It’s what I imagine the woman i’m trying to be to smell like, a woman who knows what she wants, how to get it, and has a dark tantalising side…
I honestly can’t tell Gucci Rish and Rogue apart. But I can absolutely tell Bottega Veneta and Rogue apart. Rogue does smell more synthetic than BV and although there’s a familial link there’s no comparison in terms of quality. If you like Rush you’ll like this.
Not sure how I feel about this one; I blind bought it, and have had it for some time without trying it. Decided to try it, as I think it will be more suited to cooler weather, and while I don't have anything like it in my collection, there is something holding me back from liking/loving it. It is giving me 70s/80s Charlie/Tramp vibes, and while there's nothing wrong with those perfumes, they are not what I am looking for. May leave it to stew a while, and revisit later.
I have never smelled Bottega Venetta, but Rogue does smell familiar. Maybe everyone wore this back in the day or it reminds me of Gucci Rush. It’s ok, but definitely very strong and synthetic smelling. I think the plum, leather and patchouli really dominate this perfume. This is not suitable for warm weather or daytime. I get the air freshener comparison so this is not worth buying a full bottle, in my opinion. Edit: The dry down is actually quite nice, but the overall vibe isn’t something that I gravitate to.
I think I reviewed this once before, a few years ago, and liked it. It’s been sitting around for a while, untouched, and I have it another go today. From memory, I know this is likely to settle down to some lovely soft skin like musk, the nuzzly kind, but the first half hour/hour is fruity plastic. Sometimes I’m in the mood for this weird note, but more often than not it’s just annoying and I realise why I don’t reach for this perfume much. It’s definitely one of those fragrances that relies heavily on season, temperature and for some of us, time of the month. Not an easy reach for me as too unpredictable but when it blooms in the right conditions, it is beautiful.
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but this perfume Rogue is a definite dupe of Dior Gris.. I think it actually lasts longer. And there might be just a bit of incense in Dior, but it is unmistakable
Some of you don't know how to review or smell perfumes lol Cinnamon? You know damn well you can't smell cinnamon. This is a citrus, vanilla with plum and suede . Very classy smelling.
When I say this is the WORST fragrance I have ever smelled, I mean it. Blind bought at TJ (I'm a fan of RiRi's other frags). Definitely test before buying- went in the trash I couldn't couldn't consciously regift this.
I’ve just recently got a bottle and I love it. The suede in this mixed with plum ? amber and musk is so smoothe and well done. It’s not your typical seeet , girly scent. It’s mature, sexy, seductive , dark and different. I’m living the leather notes in fragrance especially now in the cooler months . It’s discontinued so I’ve purchased 4 bottles off Amazon to last me a while .
No this does not smell like Bottega Venta. Bought it because of the supposed similarities, what a mistake. Rogue is a bad fruitchouli with an overwhelmight artificial sweet plum. Similar to another overpriced perfume Fig Tea Nicolai Parfumeur which also smells chemical and "toilet freshner" like to me. It doesn't have the bitter leather of BV.
A warm and sweet suede. It does sometimes give me a hint of pickle juice spilt on an expensive suede jacket. It’s a unique celebrity fragrance for sure.
I like this one a lot ! love musk with sweetness and it isn't cloying either, I can wear this at the peak of spring, during fall and winter. Smells like a sweet patchouli, it lasts more on clothes but not on skin.
I gotta stop blind buying perfumes, but I was so curious. It is not bad at all, like poor people`s Gucci Rush. This fruit is not plum, it is not overly sweet. Not powdery. Clean musk, no suede. Something on my skin comes out almost minty. This particular aspect I do not enjoy, and also I have Gucci Rush in my collection, so probably will sell it. Bottle is monstrous, I thoroughly hate it.
