Incanto Shine

I bought a rollerball of this based on the notes and great reviews on FragranceNet. Thought I was going to love it. Um, no. What I get is Aqua Net hairspray and celery juice. I truly do not understand the positive reviews. Perhaps it has been reformulated and very poorly???

This one is growing on me. I bought this a few years ago and could not wear it. Felt there was a scent in there that gave me a headache. Right now, I find it quite nice. No more headache. Reminds me of Bright Crystal, but I prefer Incanto Shine. It smells fresh and clean. I don't get the pineapple note at all, nor peach or anything sweet as a matter of fact. Definitely citrucy and with a touch of amber and wood scent. Works well to pair with a few other fragrance, like Light Blue, or Chanel Chance Eau fraiche, but Eau Fraiche is too powerful and the Incanto not strong enough to give much at that point. Wears well a the office. Does not last long till all is left is a skin scent though.

This is a very clean smelling fragrance to me- reminds of a shampoo at a salon and the way your hair feels right after you walk out of an appointment. Very light and tart, you definitely get a sour fruit (but not in a gone off way) feel with that soapyness that is quite nice. I think this is a pretty safe summer scent so far as it also doesn't feel like it is going to project too far and won't choke out your cohorts on the beach or at work.

Fruity florals, it’s an ok fragrance but there are better options now. As it stands, it smells extremely dated and it most definitely did not age well on my shelf. I purchased this initially as I liked the smell, but I could never wear this on my skin.

upon first spray it's just really generic, synthetic, and very sweet. after letting it sit for a bit it started reminding me of juicy fruit gum. i can def pick up the pineapple and passionfruit tropical vibes. juicy and shampooey, would be nice in summer but not life changing. it smells like the price but i sort of dig it. i will say i'm impressed by its longevity. the majority of my cheapies disappear after 30 mins but i'm still able to pick this up a few hours later. you get the peach in the dry down. i can see why some of the reviews say this is a unisex fragrance.

It’s very nice, but nothing unique. It’s a basic designer fragrance. I like it and have had it for years, but I don’t reach for it a lot because it is such a common fragrance. Again, it’s very nice! Not knocking the scent, but if you want things that are unique, this ain’t it.

Nice, fruity, shampoo-y scent. My daily driver when I don’t know what else to use. Use it up quickly though. It ages horribly and the scent turns weird, almost decayed. (I do live in a warm tropical climate though)

Good artificial pineapple with hint of white flowers. Boozy uplifting scent. Surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear. Not complex perfume for everyday wear.

I'd get it again, I miss this perfume it's really one a of a kind and the fruity smell really makes your day unique. I haven't found anything that's kinda similar to it yet.

Quite lovely fruity floral scent, like VS Bombshell, but more watery with the tropical pineapple, so one can use it more liberally like a body spray! Since I got a big 100ml bottle at a good price 🤪 really pleasant summery fragrance...

I keep this one around because it's "fun enough". Purchased because it was on sale and was supposed to be similar to Bombshell. I think Bombshell was better--prettier, brighter, more floral. I do enjoy the passionfruit+pineapple in both. This is fruity but not really juicy and has something in the composition that smells like it's "in the way". (Not quite a plastic note, but off). I choose this when I'm not sure what to put on but want a quieter fruity perfume. Has a nice drydown on clothes. The pineapple I go for instead: Coco Blush by Good Chemistry

Pineapple in the bottle has a fruity, fresh, and straightforward scent that is quite pleasant, similar to Zara Orchids.

I feel so nostalgic when sniffing incanto shine, this perfume is my teen years in a bottle, nothing ground breaking just a sparkling fruity fresh scent that feels like shampooing your hair using those herbal essences shampoos while rinsing it with freezing cold water in an extremely hot day.

My go to scents are shampoo clean fragrances and I heard a lot of good things about this one. Plus the notes seemed right up my alley. I wanted to love it and I had high hopes but it's just terrible on me :( It smells too synthetic and goes sour on my skin. Remind me to never blind buy perfume bottles again haha.

I love this fragrance from Salvatore Ferragamo, it's a very fruity floral fragrance that's perfect for summer, but you can wear this all year round. I love the tropical fruity notes which are very prominent in this, but after the dry down the floral notes of peony and freesia start to come through. This is a lovely fragrance and Chemist Warehouse sells this for only $39.99 for a large 100ml bottle so it's very affordable at CWH too. It's also a very versatile fragrance, you can wear this all year round, you can wear it everyday or for special occasions, it doesn't really matter.

This perfume reminds me exactly of Victoria Secret’s Bombshell, in fact I think it would be a dupe for it. Definitely a perfume that’s catered more towards the younger audience, although I can see more mature women wearing it in more casual settings as well. Scent is extremely fruity, although I probably won’t repurchase this or VS’s bombshell because the scent is just so over worn by everyone that I’m frankly a little tired of it. It is a pretty safe blind buy though for those who love a young fruity fragrance.

Easy dumb grab for shampoo-y fruity lovers (although there's almost a hair product thing going on, like a pleasant hair mousse circa 2007, rather than just a shampoo). This is the smell of someone who wouldnt be caught with the smell of B.O. in their wildest nightmares. Its not an entirely unique smell to your senses, buttttt, I do think the obsession (and dare I say *prestige*) with seeking out "brand new" sensory inputs grows to be quite tiresome. Sometimes you miss the simple joys. Gimme some big dumb dumb scents. Give me uncritical thought.

I had Incanto Shine when I was 15. I lived in Vietnam at the time, and to me it felt like the most mysterious, magical scent. Pineapple and passion fruit were the basis of my diet, and I think the heat and humidity really amplified this perfume. Since then, whenever I got a whiff of this scent somewhere, It was the most wonderful experience. It is deeply nostalgic to me, it brings me back to the time when I was on my way to becoming a woman, trying to figure out who I was, living in a beautiful tropical country. Today I spontaneously bought a bottle of Incanto Shine. I'm twice as old as when I first had it, and I'm in the middle of a mental breakdown, which is why I try to surround myself with things that bring back happy memories. Now it smells different. I think it has to do with the fact that I now live in Ukraine and the temperature is below freezing, the weather is dry and snowy. It may feel less bright, but essentially it is the same mysterious pineapple and passion fruit scent from my adolescence. And I absolutely love it. I don't feel any synthetic notes mentioned by other commenters. On my skin it develops smoothly, always smells joyful and fresh. I think it's a very pleasant good quality scent. I rarely come across people wearing it, but I would be thrilled to smell it on someone.

Incanto Shine has been my signature scent since 2008, and I have been through several 100mL bottles of this since. This is THAT perfume that makes me nostalgic for the many memories I associate this perfume to my life. Anyway, this has a lovely pineapple scent and leaves a good amount of sillage. This is best used in the summer when the notes really do come out. However, I don't why but I feel like this perfume has been reformulated. I still use this perfume occasionally, but it doesn't last as long and doesn't leave a trail as it used to. Maybe my taste has changed (after decades of using it), but I find it weak now. I still feel amazing and cheerful when I wear it, but those feelings are now short-lived.

This is a cheery fruity floral perfume that naturally makes me happy. It is casual and easy to wear, but with good quality smell. I would use it at home or after shower.

Tropical Pineapple Shampoo... Opens with a watery burst of tropical fruity notes, that deepens into a fruity-floral heart of peach & peony, all resting on a floral support base of musk, amber & woods. Overall I get a nearly gourmand tropical fruity opening while in the background there is a pleasant fruity shampoo vibe, popular in scents of the 2000s. The pineapple here is distinctive, and I notice it more in the heart on the skin where it brings a tart, sour musky note. Initially I thought this would be better without the pineapple which read slightly funky, but it's grown on me now and I think it adds a nice touch and helps project the other notes. Slightly above average performance for a spring-summer wearing experience. Fans of pineapple scents won't be disappointed. Enjoy! Update 03/21/24: This has aged really nicely - it's now even more fruity-floral shampoo-like and better blended than I remember. Peony is more noticeable now. Love.

I purchased this fragrance today and I love it! I love the scent profile of VS Bombshell and will collect anything that smells like it, and Incanto Shine smells almost identical! I almost didn't get this fragrance because of the complaints about a chemical smell mentioned on here but when I noticed the same complaints were mentioned on the VS BS page, I realized it more of a preference thing or maybe different noses pick up different things or body chemistry. Neither fragrance smells like chemicals or cleaning products to me. The main notes that I pick up in Incanto Shine is passion fruit up front with hints of peach and pineapple with a well blend of white musk, aquatic florals, and blonde woods in the background, with hints of citrus to add to the brightness. Very fruity fresh, my fav, and at a great price point. I got the 1 oz/30 ml since it is technically a blind buy but i would totally get the largest size. Cons: the longevity is pretty weak but wouldn't mind reapplying. The sillage is weak as well and sits very close to the skin. Last, the top is plastic and doesn't shut close easily. Overall, I am very happy with this fragrance but this is my initial impression of the fragrance and I look forward to continue to wear and test it this spring and summer. Update (6.27.23): I now get that chemical component that people get. I smell the harshness for the first few seconds after the initial spray but it soon goes away. Also, longevity is longer than I initially thought. Up to 6 hours when over-sprayed instead of under 3 hours. But projection is still weak and close to skin.

It definitely feels like Victoria Secret Bombshell. I don't know what came first, but I'm sure it's the generous use of PassionFruit in the notes. I suspect that's intentional, because it's a flavor explosion!

Very crispy bright scent. So thankful the musk isn't pulling heavy. Notes listed above are pretty accurate. It's very tangy/fruity/sweet at first spritz. I can't discern any pineapple to be honest but it doesn't matter. Then when it settles it gets a bit more floral (honestly I thought it was kind of a tangy rose but it must be the peony) but the fruit/tang doesn't disappear. From there I get a bit bummed out, bc what remains reminds me of lemon citrus kitchen or floor cleaner. I wish the floral remained bc that balances it out. It's not unpleasant cleaner, but I think it would raise a few eyebrows. Will give it a 5/10, wouldn't invest in full bottle but will prob use up my 5mL I have

Pleasant scent which gives a tropical vibe. Very suitable for Southeast Asia hot and humid weather. Especially the pineapple and peony notes. Make it easy to wear on causal days. Inoffensive, crowd pleasing type of scent. Great value and easily available in my country.

I bought this for my daughter a couple of years ago and she absolutely loves it. She's 20... her bottle is almost gone. This is fruity/musky/casual scent that is pretty inoffensive, leans kind of unisex on her, and has a playful summertime vibe. I believe it's a safe blind buy for most people if they are looking for this kind of scent.

Smells like alcohol mixed with floral and watered down. I got this from TJ Max 1.7oz $24.99. I don't like it

The very first time I tried this perfume all I could smell was celery! It took me a long time to want to give the perfume a second chance. But I am glad I did. A good summer fragrance that smells like fresh fruit salad. It is a fun fragrance!

I love this!!! This is one of my favorite perfumes ever. I owned a 50ml when I was in college. I remember wearing this to see the person I love. This is full of memory and young sweetness. I wonder if it's still available now.
