Energizing Fragrance

Very nostalgic fragrance, fresh and fruity, dries down a bit too powdery on me.

Never had a chance to try this, but I wonder if Eudermine Essence smells similar to this...

This is fun... Found this in my boyfriend's late grandmother's collection. It's really fresh j could honestly see Byredo with a fragrance like this. I'm honestly surprised there's no citrus in here. Very pretty and clean citrusy-floral-musk. If you remember what Pier 1 used to smell like back in the day, this SOMEWHAT smells like that... I do remember Pier 1 had a nauseating amount of berry in their store scent... It's like their store scent without the berry overtake. Aromatic and pretty.

this was so intoxicating. sad that it discontinued.

I'm surprised no one mentions how similar this is to CK One, incredibly similar scent profiles to me.

Smells mostly citrusy and some woody, a bit powdery and a bit musky. I give it a 7/10

I used to wear this in the early 2000s and it is not available anymore which makes me sad. If anyone has this I would love to purchase from you!!!

It gives me the impression of a perfume that would have been worn a lot in the early 2000s, without being remembered specifically. Very sweet and soapy. Very pepper and carnation top notes, indeed. Then I have mostly a light rose coupled with lily of the valley that's a little rough, very close to the skin. And this accord, I feel like I grew up surrounded by it, without realizing it. It clearly smells clean, soapy, out of the shower, and it's clearly not something I'd wear, but it still feels like something to put into its creative context. I'll go to bed less stupid, either way. Most importantly, I think the bottle is simple but pretty. It will surely remind many of us of many women.

Energizing Aroma! The beginning is fairly muted, with a little peppery pepper and a wonderful carnation note. It is light and spring like, as well as incredibly fresh and clean. As the heart opens, one is welcomed by the most beautiful wafts of pure flowers, with jasmine being sensual smooth, iris being cold and sleek, heliotrope being dry and sweet to keep it sheer and green, and a bit of rose to balance it out and make it wonderful. Naturally lovely! The vibrations from this make one feel relaxed, and it is quite uplifting! Wonderful!

I'm sorry but I can't stand this fragrance.

Anytime I was at the mall as a teen, I would head to the Shiseido counter and cover myself in this stuff. It was warm, gingery, zesty and stuck like glue. I wore a lot of sweaters back then, so to me, this is a sweater weather fragrance. Your sweater would smell like an cozy, fuzzy blanket until washed. A very unique early ‘00s scent.

This is pretty, soft, delicate. I think of flower petals when I wear this. Not because of scent, because of texture. This smells like a healthy thick rose petal feels. It reminds me of my Loccitane body butter- but doesn’t smell as rich...

Beautiful light yummy skin scent. Floral, slightly sweet, clean, it does has a fresh spice quality. Not powdery at all to me. Light musk. Stays very close to the skin. Pretty much you're wearing this for you, not others since there is not much projection at all. I agree with Albireru comment below! This smells reminiscent of expensive skin care, it smells like a couple of the skincare items that Shiseido carries. Particularly their firming massage mask! I used to work at a shiseido counter in the US ;) I think they probably had more items near the time of the launch that had this scent, but they tend to discontinue alot of their skincare. So I'm not sure. Also items/ingredients differ depending on the country the skincare is sold.

I got this gem from a swap with LittleRed and I absolutely love it. It is definitely a skin scent, as it says on the bottle, eau aromatique (aromatic water). It's very comforting and clean, it smells like very expensive skincare, a rich face lotion. I imagine a very elegant woman smelling like this before going to bed in her silk robe. The note I detect the most is lily of the valley, but it's very creamy and not sharp or too floral. It's very calming and classy. I love this. Definitely one of those "you smell good/your skin smells good" rather than "what are you wearing" kind of scents.

So pleasant and so comforting in a very special way. For me its not energy but sheer comfort, relaxation and bliss. If you are a lily-of-the-valley fan you` ll die for this one. Peppery Lily-of-the-valley, musky on a base of carnation, wood and powdery iris. Outstanding and wellbalanced in every way. This is a new forund love and blind buy for me. Definetely a winner for spring and summer. Longevity and silage are about average and it turns into a sexy and pleasant skinscent within a couple of hours.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I used to wear this in the early 2000 and got compliments. I am so glad to find this again, it is one of my signature scents to wear.

Thanks to this fragrance I started to get passionate about perfumes. For me it was a beautiful essence made by few simple notes related to the aromatherapy. I didn't consider it a real perfume. Now I have to change my opinion due to the variety of notes that compose this awesome, great aroma. Hope to find it easily and get it back.

I agree with all the positive reviews! Up until finding this on Fragrantica, I never knew Shiseido even marketed fragrances. I buy their makeup (their translucent pressed powder is a staple in my makeup bag) but never looked anywhere else at the Shiseido counter. I am so glad I blind bought this. Energizing is a fresh and clean scent. So true what other reviewers said... it doesn't smell or feel like you're wearing perfume with Energizing. You just smell good. It is one of the few scents I have that I would consider buying a backup bottle of. Thanks again Fragrantica reviewers!

I always enjoy wearing this fragrance. I'd agree that it's a "clean spicy floral" similar to what a few others here describe it. The spiciness (carnation, anise, pepper) is soft but lasts, and blends very well with the floral notes. It's also not the overly sweet spiciness that makes me feel sick when I wear it. Nothing about this fragrance annoys me, it's one of the most wearable perfumes I have. I've also never known anyone else to wear it, so it's unique in that way too.

It does exactly what it says on the tin: this scent provides a spark of energy that lifts your spirits. It shouldn’t be listed under floral at all (see correct notes below). This is a spicy and clean non-fragrance. People will not ask you “Wow, what do you wear?”, instead they will compliment you “Mmm, you smell nice.” It's impossible to go wrong with this one. Really glad I just bought this! Wow it really is energizing but fresh and not headache inducing like so many perfumes these days. It's really nice and I bought the body cream which is really nice too. I owned Refreshing in the 90s. My only complaint it does kind of last but not that long like better than some but can't hold a candle to my Lancome perfumes for staying power unfortunately.

I owned this perfume in early 2000s and I completely forgot about it since then. I got so many compliments when I wore it. I feel like buying it again. It is light floral, very feminine, a bit spicy and somehow it's warm. The palette differs from all other perfumes. very recognizable scent. Yes, I should definitely buy it again!

I owned this circa 2001-2005. Not the best time or memories of my life, therefore, this perfume still stands half full in it's frosted, hazy coral flacon on my old antique dresser, shaped like one of the hundreds of teardrops befallen from my eyes during those torturous years. One of my signature fragrances is Chloe Innocence, a similar scented jewel, but Chloe is from the glorious 90's (1995) decade, when t.v. shows, movies, make-up and perfume were all that kept me together, feeling like a young beauty blossoming through terrible times. Both frosted, both carrying the scent of vulnerability, naivete, sadness, sorrow, melancholic beauty and indescribable softness.

I agree with ELENOSE, this is a misterious perfume. Carnation and musk in a genious combination, give to hard working women energy and peace of mind at the same time.It was my signature perfume for a lot of years. When i wore it, fom the first second i felt an immense pleasure surrounds me and my aura cleane from stress and worries.Αmong the many perfumes of my life, that is the only, that gives me this feeling of Health, I would say.

This perfume is not for everyone in my opinion. It Opens with a harsh spike given by a bitter spicy carnation that stings the nose. After an hour the parfume Change completely, on me, and reveal a secret. The little child in every strong and powerful woman. Iris, roses and musk like baby powder. It is so strange and magic. But i love this misterious perfume

Finally I bought this perfume , just like to thank everyone who said this smell like Chloe innocence , to me it smells exactly the same like Chloe with no difference, at least as I remember , I am so happy :)

I adore this fragrance. I first bought it in 2001. I used to wear it to work everyday. My collegues often told me, that I smelled clean and fresh. I think these two words sum it up perfectly. It doesn't smell like (you're wearing) perfume, it's just a nice, clean, not offensive fragrance. It's just there, like freshly washed clothes. I only wear this fragrance during daytime. It's perfect for office. The longevity and sillage are both moderate. For evenings I love my perfumes a bit louder.
