It is quite a beautiful rose erfume but, tbh, a little boring. Finished my bottle today and would not repurchase even if it was not so outrageously priced now. There are better alternatives. If you want a simple, non-complex, sour rose - this might be right up your alley.

I’m still absolutely fuming that the Stella McCartney Perfumes have been discontinued, I love this scent so much, one of my all time favourites.

I'm not sure if its the amber materials, but this rose isn't the lush, tender rose I hoped for. It's all about the rose, but a mix of synthetic and natural, green and red roses, similar to Balenciaga's Florabotanica.

Bring this Back please!!!

Star lady, for people in UK.

Layering Miss Charming by Juliette has a gun with Rose Night by Montale pretty much gives you Stella with great longevity. You're welcome.

The loveliest rose I've ever encountered. I miss her DEARLY, and am hanging on to my bottle for dear life

I wore this beautiful perfume back in the early 2000s. My mom actually bought me the bottle from Nordstrom. I still have that bottle and there’s about 20% left. It was too special to wear and finish off. Oh how I wish I could go back in time and purchase a bunch of backup bottles. Beautiful perfume- rosy, feminine. It’s the kind of fragrance that makes you stop in your tracks and say “oh wow!!” Dua is actually coming out with one tomorrow. And yes, I’m going to get a bottle!! How could I not?

Classic and beloved Stella! Oh, how I've loved her for decades. For those who absolutely love and grieve Stella, I urge you to try Rose Rondeaux by Prosody London. It has been a welcome "replacement" for my Stella! You're welcome! ;-)

I have held on to my bottle for soooo many years but the wonderful thing is I'm able to compare it to newer fragrances. The closest I've found to this is either Delina or Covered in Roses so far. But they really are quite similar!

Why, why, WHY was this discontinued?? I miss it so much. A masterpiece.

Imagine taking a walk in a lush rose garden of a gothic castle in England after the rain. Hauntingly beautiful, one of the most amazing fragrances ever created. Reformulating and discontinuing it was a crime against humanity. ;((

When I wad a kid, my sister moved to New York City and whenever she’d visit home this was the fragrance she brought back with her. It was so perfect for her. The fragrance really does smell like a young, beautiful woman - tough, smart, and brave, using a the streets of Manhattan as her playground. It’s a perfect rose - fresh and fruity but also mysterious and sexy.

Discontinuing this fragrance was a hate crime. It was my favourite fragrance ever. I ran dry, it's all gone. I am desperately searching rose fragrances to replace it but it is difficult. What works for me currently is Byredo's Rose of No man's land, on my skin it translates very similarly, and the longevity is surprisingly good. I hope this helps, and my heart goes out to everyone who are walking in the same shoes.

Heavenly rose like you fell inside an actual rose and it encapsulated you and you lived inside it forever No stinky rose here or old poudre rose. This is tonic rose. Like real real rose. Classy yet sensual 9/10

The most unique, beautiful rose perfume I've come across. Not powdery, but a statement scent without being loud. The best celebrity perfume I own.

It *kills* me that the OG Stella (or any Stella version, really) was discontinued. It was always a classic yet modern rose, never powdery, always fresh due to the clean lines added from the citrus, grounded in a beautiful amber which lended some beautiful heft. I have about 1/8 of a bottle left, and I use it sparingly in order to keep it for as long as I can! This was my signature scent for a long time - it is beautiful any time of day - out dancing (when heat and sweat brings out the rounded sexiness of the scent), in the day (when the cheerful citrus sparkles with the pure rose), and it truly is wearable in any season. RIP Stella );

Smelling Stella in the early 2000s sparked my love affair with rose fragrances. It proved that rose perfumes aren’t always "old lady" scents, but could be modern, bold and sophisticated. This was a rose with confidence - oozing sensual femininity and elegance. I miss it dearly, along with the many compliments I received whenever I wore it. I wish they would bring it back. It's one of my all-time faves.

I just purchased a sample from a trusted site, but it doesn't smell anything like the original Stella. Did they make a new, reformulated version or did i just buy a fake?!

I miss this fragrance so much. Reminds me of my older sister & it's so nostalgic, but the way it settled on her skin and lasted for hours and hours, the way you could smell her before she even walked in the room — I'll never forget it. Pure rose & amber. Beautiful when you spray it and gets even better throughout the day.

I read all of these glowing reviews on here and ended up finding a tiny sample on ebay that I snagged. Maybe it was just old and had turned bad, but the primary thing I can smell is pencil shavings. One other person said the same thing so I know I'm not imagining it. The rest of it is not special to me in any way. It also had terrible staying power. I wonder if a fresh bottle smells dramatically different, but my experience of it does not make me regretful that I missed out before this was discontinued.

This is unique and one of the best modern rose fragrances ever. I have discovered a small perfumery called Studio by the River on Etsy which makes inspirations of discontinued fragrances and their take on Stella was on point!

Анонім★★★★★

Shall we, as a community, start messaging Stella McCartney’s customer service to kindly bring this one back immediately, if you please? My bottle’s holding on for dear life!

One of the most memorable fragrances for me (even though I've smelled a million of them). Truly amazing rose scent. Very fresh, very bright. a MUST try rose perfume for all rose lovers and fragrance lovers (unless you only like sweetgourmands though) in general.

I started wearing this when I was received into the Orthodox Church. I wore it every Sunday because the rose scent truly made me feel I was honoring the Virgin Mary. I had no idea it had been discontinued and have yet to find another rose scent with the simple purity of this one, not too fruity or too much peony, or trying to be sultry, just pure unadulterated rose as it should be.

Beautiful rose fragrance with a unique scent trail. Design of the bottle is also nice. Bring it back on the market please!

Pure magic in a gorgeous purple amethyst bottle! It brings back memories for me. It was one of these rare perfumes for when you smelled it, it was such a mysterious and emotional moment. It’s impossible to describe in words. That’s what scents are for. Nothing compares to it in designer fragrances now really or at least not the same. I guess the closest would be Chloe edp. But Chloe would not have the same sense of depth and mystery. Also, i think the new Alien Hypersense evoked a similar emotional response in me- perhaps because it has Amber and orange, but Jasmin instead of rose. 🌹💜🧡

I fancy myself a rose fragrance connoisseur. Let me tell you... most modern day rose perfumes are horrible. They either smell synthetic, are too heavy, too peppery, or drowned in heavy musk. Rose has a reputation of being "old lady" scent (a term I really dislike), and houses always try to "spice it up" and reinvent it. Honestly, the only two houses who do roses justice are Serge Lutens and Tauer. Anyway, I was dying to test this, it being discontinued and now having an almost legendary status as a gold standard in rose perfumes. I bought a decant. And I love it. What a rose! Light, airy, crisp. Simple and very clean. This is a perfume of astoundingly high quality. When I close my eyes and smell my skin, it smells just like a real flower with just a tiny bit of tangerine. What a beauty. This could be my favorite rose-centered fragrance if it wasn't for Lutens' La Fille De Berlin.

This was my daily driver for years and I do miss the ability to put this one throughout the day to freshen up. Love this version of Rose...I found it clear and fresh a simple easy scent, a "clean" rose.

Stunning! So soft, powdery, creamy and rosy. Like a whole bouquet of pink roses. Yes, it's lighter roses for spring and summer. Not heavy roses. There is a softness and creaminess to it. The roses are not screechy, nor peppery, but powdery (in a non dry, more creamy way). This perfume is stunning and it is a shame that it has been discontinued.
