The most interesting accord here is indeed the cherry. If you had a normal EU childhood, you will remember buying the haribo cherries and frogs. The moment you decided to allow the cherries to dissolve in your mouth? That’s it! Core memory reactivated. Unfortunately it lasts about as long as a fart. Sprayed at duty free at Schiphol and by the time I arrived at the gate about next to nothing was left. A je ne sais quoi ambery deodorant. This added to the price of TF fragrances at the duty free (seriously ? how do they survive with prices higher than any other shop in NL? or anywhere else for that matter…) it is a no go forever.
I received this perfume as a gift, but after testing it at Sephora, it gave me a headache. I later discovered that it contains jasmine, which I'm sensitive to. Therefore, I'm selling this brand-new, unopened perfume. DM me if you're interested. I am located in Germany.
I originally reviewed this fragrance almost 2 years ago with a moderate appreciation. Since this, this has become *officially* my favorite fragrance. Is it perfect? Not in its entirety but it’s perfect for me. The cherry is lovely. It’s playful, it is certainly electric, it compliments the floral notes from the jasmine. And then it alll dries down to this beautiful, magnificent ginger/jasmine musk. HEAVEN. The beauty of this fragrance lives in the dry down. To me, it’s really not that much of a “cherry” fragrance throughout. The cherry is definitely there but the ginger/jasmine/musk ensemble is the most prominent feature here. It’s fabulous. If you can appreciate a cozy, clean, elegant fragrance, you can appreciate this one.
love it. smells fizzy, like its carbonated.
Cherry + generic fruit smell
I already own Lost Cherry and tried this today in store for the first time. I'm very happy I went with Lost Cherry. This is very, very spring/summer. It's fruity and lighter than most other TF fragrances. It's sweet (as expected) which I like, but the cherry in this fades into nothing much faster than Lost Cherry's scent. Overall, it feels the most artificial out of the cherry line. I like its smell but I wouldn't justify this price over a fragrances that fades so quickly. Other than that, it's girly, sweet, great fruity gourmand for the hotter months. It's also generally less sexy and dark than most cherry fragrances tend to be.
i just tried this at sephora and its been sitting for some time now. its definitely nice but its very linear. cherry and jasmine and the opening has a nice zing of ginger. cherry in the woods from aurora scents does this exact same thing but with the addition of vanilla and praline and its an extrait and i can comfortably say the longevity offers way more than electric cherry does. still a lovely scent but I just find it to be too basic for my taste.
I bought this bottle but didn't like the scent. I'm ready to sell it, we can sort out the price in DMs.
Girl showed this to me at a party and said it was her signature scent of many years. Personally, I can't understand why, but I kept it polite of course. This is the first Tom Ford I've smelled (to my knowledge) and I was very disappointed, but most major designers disappoint me so that's no shocker. All of the nuances she pulled out were lost on me, this smelled very blah. It wasn't repulsive but it was uninteresting and forgettable. Wish the ginger was much soupier in this and that the cherry wasn't so basic, that's a complaint I have with so many cherry fragrances, though. If you're reading this and you know about a not-candy-sweet cherry frag, DM me!
Recently made some TF purchases and I got some samples of this...you ever wish you could pay 200% more for JPG's So Scandal? Well, that's Electric Cherry for you (which is crazy because this one it doesn't have raspberry at all). I don't know if it just dries down super sweet on my skin, but to me there's no musk at all. I'd just get good ol' Lost Cherry if you are considering this one.
I LOVE the first spray and the initial scent but it lasts for less than 30 mins on my skin. I feel like we should all be madder that it costs $400.
It's one of my favorites 'cause it's everything I love all at once; It's icy cold, sweet with heat, refreshing, uplifting, colorful and to me, so delicious. Top 3 for me! ♥️🍒
Greek price: 495€ for the 100ml bottle, with basic salary starting at 840€. Now they are selling out with 40% discount, at 297€. Most people in Greece have turned to much cheaper brands, or have started reserving perfume for special occasions only. I'm beginning to think we've been reduced to modern slaves who enjoy very few things in life despite working like crazy. Sad but true......
Cherry is a note I don’t normally enjoy. Usually comes off very synthetic. But like how it’s done here. Nutty and bright. Reminds me of that cherry almond soap we sure to use back in the 90’s
This smells like cherry soda and nail polish, with a short attention span. It is a fun fragrance for about 15 mins but the cherry then dissipates and becomes quite generic. Would be more suited in a Bath and Bodyworks shelf than Tom Ford niche fragrance. Overpriced for what it is, but it seems to be fairly popular with specific younger demographics.
I love this one! It’s cherry but also nutty and woodsy! I would definitely wear this year round even though it’s definitely more of a fall scent. I don’t like how expensive it is but there are dupes of this one!
Smells almost exactly like a bounce dryer sheet mixed with a rainier cherry. It smells good but comes off extremely clean and laundry like on my skin. The musk is definitely leaning towards clean, fresh musk. Out of the cherry scents from TF, lost cherry still reigns supreme. If you are into this scent, I would recommend checking out indecent cherry from BORNTOSTANDOUT as they are similar enough, but BTSO is cheaper.
I have only samples on paper but this smells like soap and glory wild cherry shower gel, which I do not like. I didn't check the notes to realize jasmine is listed. To my nose that is all I smell and I'm not a fan.
Pepper came through SO STRONG I think it might be my skin chemistry. Nice enough scent, but not really what I was hoping for. Overall lacks balance, leans very peppery with a whiff of sweet cherry overtop.
omg genuinely the best perfume I've ever smelt it smells so so so so so good and I only wear it on special occasions because its that good(and because its expensive as shit)
Women that wear this are instantly more attractive. Gorgeous high quality feminine scent, can't get enough of it when I smell it. Certified man magnet.
Soaked myself in this fragrance blindly in Sephora based off the amazing reviews. This is the first TF fragrance to give me a head rush. Electric indeed. I was devastated that I had to go to work smelling like this. (I gotta stop testing new fragrances on my way to work LOLOL) I think I sprayed too much or didn’t wear it on the right occasion. To me, this is NOT WORKSAFE. Bruh this is something you spray 1 hour before going on a date cause the initial blast is gnarly and needs time to cool down. 2 sprays is more than enough. Fortunately , it was only a half day for me and I was able to spare my coworkers from torture. It’s now 6 hours later and the dry down is shining through while I’m laying in bed,, even after a shower. Smells better than at first and reminds me of doing sexy-business in a fancy hotel. If I were to spray it again, I’d hold it farther away and walk through the mist for a faint sillage before a date night. 6 sprays of this almost got me fired from work LOLOL
Cocovanilaa’s review below is spot on. This one is very sweet, with the main notes of cherry, almond/marzipan and musk doused in sugar. It smells very cheap, plasticky and infantile. Electric Cherry is obviously aimed at the notorious ‘rich kids of Instagram’.
Electric cherry is the cute and bubbly version of what "Lost Cherry" was at a younger age. Refreshing tangy cherry soda pop.
This is Cherry Jolly Rancher with Clean Linen Laundry to the MAX. It doesn't even feel like cherry after the first blast - it goes SUPER clean and you forget its cherry. It dries down to Very clean linen on me. Super clean, spotless, with cherry candy breath from afar, a mouthful of Nerds cherry candy and jolly rancher but like 5 feet away. It is NOT Cherry after a while. It is intensely concentrated dryer sheets that the cherry gets lost in. The cherry notes are not sweet in this, they try to be but the dryer sheets are such a sunrise kind of bright that it just overpowers the cherry. Cherry is on the edges. I could drop this sample vial in unscented laundry soap and my laundry would smell intensely clean, but not cherryish. A little goes a long way. Squeaky clean is the name of this one. Not at all what I was expecting. (which was jolly rancher on steroids with almond liquor and sweet almost too intense then defusing into other kinds of subtler cherries.) This is Laundromat Fantasy in black light with someone nearby chewing on cherry jolly rancher breathing 2 seats away texting on a phone while your clothes dry and then being under the influence - maybe a little more than microdosing...
Electric Cherry is exactly what I thought Lost Cherry would be. It's a fresh, tangy cherry soda, the ginger and pepper spices it up a bit, but in general, if you like cherry you'll like this. Lost cherry is a dark cherry wine, and this is the fruity, youthful version. Both have their place, but you'll like one more depending on if you're looking for sophistication or fun. I love them both equally, but they are for very different situations.
Smells like maraschino cherry. I like it, but it’s very syrupy, a bit juvenile, and smells cheap considering the price.
Tom Ford Electric Cherry To me, Electric Cherry is extremely underwhelming and surprisingly ordinary. While there is a slight bitter cherry nuance at the opening, the fragrance quickly turns into a generic sweet, ambery-musk scent with very little depth or character. Despite the listed notes of ginger and pink pepper, I do not perceive any spiciness or freshness at all. The fragrance doesn’t read as spicy, fruity, or floral to my nose — instead, it leans heavily toward an ambery, musky base, which overwhelms everything else. When smelled closely, this ambery undertone becomes even more prominent and unpleasant to me. It adds heaviness without complexity, making the scent feel flat and uninspired rather than warm or intriguing. The presence of jasmine sambac is also noticeable in a way that doesn’t work for my personal taste. While it’s not classic jasmine, jasmine sambac often feels sharp and slightly abrasive to my nose, and here it contributes to the discomfort rather than balance. What makes this especially disappointing is the price. For a Tom Ford fragrance, Electric Cherry feels far too safe, linear, and lacking the bold or unusual character the brand is known for. I also don’t sense a real connection to Lost Cherry — aside from a faint smoky cherry nuance, they feel like two completely separate fragrances. Among all the cherry fragrances I’ve tried, this is easily the most disappointing — and ironically, one of the least cherry-forward. To me, it feels neither truly cherry-based nor floral or spicy, but simply an ambery-musk scent wearing a cherry name.
Cherry is one of my absolute FAVOURITE smells and I’ve always found it really difficult to find a fragrance that truly smells like cherry. I don’t know if I’m maybe a bit crazy but I always found lost cherry smelled a lot like campfire smoke so didn’t understand the hype. One day when I was in Sephora I saw Electric Cherry and ohmygod I had never smelled anything better in my entire life, and the cherry smell lasted for a full 12 hours. Immediately I was completely enthralled by this scent and I HAD to have it. Unfortunately since Tom Ford is insaneeeely over priced I didn’t end up buying it, but I did get it as a gift! Yay! The bit of disappointment I have with this scent is that the sample I tried in store was way stronger. When I got the perfume for myself it only lasts for about 3 hours at most. It smells soapy when it’s completely dry. I’m not sure what the difference is but it’s really sad since it was so perfect when I tested it. I’m hoping maybe the fragrance is just super fresh and needs to sit for awhile. Still really love it but I have to layer it over a sweeter, stronger perfume for any lasting scent.
I wanted to like this so much but it's a fancy, spritzy cheery that's syrupy and juvenile. If you're playful 20s girl this would be great.
