Mango Skin

Been smelling and sniffing this at my local niche perfume store since forever it seems. Strongly considered buying a bottle. The first 15 minutes of that absolutely succulent mango is worth all of my money. The rest? Not so much. The fragrance lasts like 5 hours on skin. Its 15 minutes of yummy and juicy photorealistic mango, then 45 minutes of mango blackberry smoothie and 4 hours of Burberry Her. I might as well buy myself Burberry Her and a box of mangos for that price.

Lovely fragrance just doesn’t last on me

I absolutely love this fragrance. It honestly might be my number one favorite fragrance! To me, this smells like a very realistic, juicy, sweet, slightly tart mango. I think that the blackberry note in the top really just serves to add sweetness to the mango. You can picture the blackberry being there if someone tells you, but really it's mango front and center. You do get the florals, but they never upstage the mango. They really just add interest and an heir of femininity. I can detect the patchouli, but I have a nose for patchouli haha. Having the patchouli in the base, especially paired with the vanilla, really just brings depth and sexiness to the fragrance. It grounds the fragrance and gives it more body. Most people would not detect the patchouli at all. It's merely supportive in this fragrance, not prominent. The vanilla and pink sugar don't stand out as individual notes, but just add sweetness to the mango. This fragrance just screams summer and really shines in hot, humid weather. It's perfect for daytime or nighttime wear, hanging out with your friends, or going on a dinner date. The vibe it gives is fun, approachable, warm, confident, flirty, and sexy. I've gotten many compliments on this fragrance from both men and women. You'll want to eat yourself a little bit when you wear this! I get good sillage and great longevity with this fragrance. I can always smell it on me throughout the day when I wear it, which is something I really enjoy. Quite often I'll spray a fragrance, but after a minute I won't be able to smell it on myself really (which is such a bummer!). So, despite not being a "heavy" fragrance, this scent really does stick around. At the end of the day after the fragrance has worn off, you're left with this sweet scent on your skin. It's very pleasant the way that it dissipates and it never gets powdery (which happens at the very end of most fragrance's performance for me). If you are a mango lover just buy it! It's perfect and actually not that expensive compared to many other niche fragrances.

I tried this in store and kept reading about it, when it was in store my first trial I immediately fell in love since I love mango perfumes. But when I ordered my 8ml sample I was sure it would be gone in a week. But when I wore it yesterday the base notes were too sticky and harsh for me so overwhelming I can't stand it. From love to hate. It's for the first time I have feelings like this. It's either love or hate but not to the same perfume. I do enjoy it at the beginning still like the first three sec or so. Then it's like vomit. Sorry if you love it. Maybe it's my skin. I try it during winter n hopefully it will be different. Maybe layering will be better as well.

When I first tried it in the store, it smelled like fresh, ripe mango. I carried the blotter paper in my purse and kept revisiting it with excitement. I thought I had found an exciting new summer scent. Tasty, fresh, and feminine. When I got my hands on a 2 ml sample, I was surprised by how differently it behaved on my skin. Suddenly, the mango turned sour, the fruity notes smelled extremely synthetic, and the drydown was sugary and somewhat cheap, like a pre-teen's choice of shower gel. Never underestimate your body chemistry, and always test your bigger purchases on your skin before committing. It would have been a bummer to spend money on a full-size bottle. It's not a terrible scent by any means. Overall, I love this house and its compositions. But the difference between paper and skin was dramatic in this case, and unfortunately, not for the better.

Syrupy mango. Very nice! Great for summer. Floral background . I usually don’t like scents like this but love it.

I smelled this at a Neiman Marcus and it’s awesome. Contrary to many reviews, I think both genders can pull this off. The best way to describe this is a fresher more fruity take on SHL god of fire or Vulcan feu. 10/10

Love everything about this perfume but the bottom note. I was absolutely obsessed with this scent when I first smelt it - I genuinely stopped a girl on the bus who was wearing it, to ask what it was. But then when I tried a tester, smelt great, until the top and middle notes wore off. The bottom note reminded me of ylang ylang, which makes me feel sick. But now I see there is no ylang ylang in this perfume. Any recommendations for other perfumes that smell like this but without that final base nite?

Smells like the old Fruit Stripe gum to me.

This fragrance is a sophisticated take on mango. And, yes, mango is the prominent top note, with something spicy and earthy underneath. But there's nothing childish about this scent. Mango Skin is elegant and poised. It smells fresh yet sensual, like sipping cocktails at midnight in Bora Bora, like lounging on a yacht at sunset.

after it dries down, all i get is pepper and orris and just a hint of mango. no thanks.

The orris powder is overpowering. Too bad, I think I’d love it otherwise.

The opening has a very prominent mango skin note, as expected, then becomes a soft fruity floral perfume that lacks character. I enjoyed testing this for a day but it’s not quite me.

This is really, REALLY bad. I was too lazy to go to a store and smell it, so i bought a bunch of samples where Mango Skin was and goddamn. This was terrible! I thought it would be sweet and sour, succulent mango and instead i got a spoiled fruit with metallic tang and an extremely disgusting scent of male stinky armpits. The BO smell didn’t go away, like ever. It just stayed ‘til the perfume evaporated. It was so repulsive i had to give the SAMPLE away. I couldn’t use even the 1,5 ml i had. Mango Skin is not a safe blind buy, please, people, try it somewhere, because if you won’t like it, it’ll be impossible to wear. At all.

Pure ripe mango is all I get from this. Very long lasting and sweet fruity fragrance that is quite linear and dominates of one note.

This scent is definitely more for the ladies i cant lie, way better alternatives for better prices.

The ever so popular Mango Skin is juicy mango over musky woods - thick, sweet mango pulp that stays linear and slightly synthetic throughout on my skin. It was pleasant in an uncomplicated way but emotionally flat and a little too one-dimensional to justify a full bottle for me. Hopefully one day I will find my perfect mango.

The most realistic mango scent JUICY realistic mango, very sweet with some nice hints of blackberry. Perfectly balanced fruitiness with sweetness while being very refreshing. One of the best summer scents and the best mango scent ever made!

More blackberry/blackcurrant than photorealistic mango - the lotus gives it an aquatic lift.

Mango blackberry soda. A bit artificial leaning and very sweet. Can't detect many other notes. Definitely no pepper. Mango Skin lacks the green aspect and tartness of a real mango. But if you can tolerate sweet fragrances then this is nice for summer.

Totally not a skin scent. Because whenever you hear skin you usually think light or musk, but no. I actually like that this isn't musky. It smells like an unripe mango/mango peels. I didn't get the icing note but I think I just wasn't paying attention lol! Its an amazing sour mango fragrance, leaning on the fruity side. Kind of God of fire's younger, feminine and more juvenile twin. In a good way of course!

The opening was promising bc I got mango and mango skin. It was very balanced and appealing. The drydown on the other hand really wasn't for me. It smelled very sweet in a candy-ish, synthetic way, and only now I realised why by looking at the notes. If I was blindfolded and I was asked to guess how much this perfume costs, I would've said £25.

Unfortunately the white claw craze of 2019 has ruined mango fragrances for me. Only thing I get from this is the scent of a mango seltzer and it transports me to a nauseating place.

I get a kind of tropical hairspray vibe from this, while also being realistic. It’s weird, but good. Name of the fragrance describes it perfectly. Realistic airy mango with florals in the dry down. Smell 7/10 Proj: Moderate Longevity: Mediocre for summer. Blind buy safe?: If you enjoy tropicals

Mmmm...Jammy... mango blackberry sorbet. Very fruity deep,rich and refreshing. Perfect for summer evnings! Love it!

A sticky sweet mango fragrance that’s not overly tropical. I love this on a hot day!

I get a blast of mango in the beginning and then I was getting some reminiscent of LVEB in the dry down. I came up here to see if anyone else is getting the same thing and was correct. Mango covered LVEB ❤️🥭
